All the random notes I’ve jotted down over the last year have been gathered and I am officially planning the layout for next year’s annual reading tracker journal. I’ll be taking you on the step by step journey to assemble everything in preparation for 2023. I’ll be including some tips and tricks along the way as well as sharing some of my favorite products. I’ll be keeping a lot of things the same, but there will be some small tweaks, some additions, and some deletions in the layouts I use. Finally getting back to work with my new journal from @cleverfoxplanner. This month, I'll finish up the red journal I've been using, though it won't be fully out of commission as I plan to use the blank areas for notes so it is fully used. So, I've been falling behind on my writing and life goals for months due to several stressors. My bullet journal went from being a planner to just a work project log. After seeing good results from friends in the writing group I'm in, I bit the bullet and ordered a Clever Fox Undated Daily Planner in peach-pink. I opted for this over the Ultimate Achiever's planner because I still need a daily job log and I appreciate the weekly notes pages and the blank dotted pages in the back. This baby is thicker and heavier than my STM, and will def become heavier still with all the stickers I'll be putting in it! 😂 The thing I'm looking forward to most is clarifying my goals and staying focused on them. That also includes limiting stress and anxiety as much as possible, as stress can lower your immune system. Here are my tips for getting organized: ⠀⠀ 🔹 Buy a planner or journal — One thing that I’ve noticed that helps me most is to get organized each day. This includes organizing my thoughts in the morning, mapping out my To-Do’s, writing positive affirmations and setting goals for the day. I use one by @cleverfoxplanner . ⠀⠀ 🔹 Create a work space — Studies show that people who have a more formal workspace in their home—mirroring what they’re used to at the office—get more work done. So now that you’re working from home, try to make your home office as close to your setup at your “real” office as possible. Do you have a standup desk and split screens at the office? Then set up the same thing at home. Do you like a space with nice natural light, candles to smell nice and flowers to brighten your day? Then add those! Make your workspace as comfortable as possible, so you’re less likely to want to run away as often. ⠀⠀ 🔹 Make your life easier — give yourself all the tools necessary to be successful. Treat yourself to a new tablet if yours is old and wonky. Use noise-cancelling headphones to block out distractions. If your internet is known to be sporadic or temperamental, then purchase a portable WiFi device like @myskyroam . Do whatever you need to do to make your workspace friendly, to block out distractions and cut out unnecessary annoyances. ⠀⠀ I find that if I keep myself organized, put all the tools in place to make me more productive, it lessens my stress levels and helps me feel better all around. ⠀⠀ What do you do to stay organized? Before I say anything else, I do not own these images, and am not trying to profit off them. My word for the year is... drum roll... rhythm. Rhythm as a consistent groove, a pattern that flows, grounding the music yet the engine which keeps it moving forward. ⁠ ⁠ Rhythm is far different than resolution. Resolutions are like light switches- on or off, accomplished or not. I rarely succeed at a resolution. ⁠ ⁠ But I can make a home in rhythm. Our bodies naturally bear the rhythm of breath and heartbeat. It’s the second half of the year already!! How did that happen? I’m getting ready to start prepping some of my reading journals for 2023. For 2023 I have selected the @cleverfoxplanner dotted journal in light blue. I am already in love with these notebooks! The page sizes are slightly larger than this year’s journals and these babies are durable. There is a nice holder to keep me from losing my pen (this happens ALL the time). The cover is super soft and I can’t stop rubbing my hands over it. Its lovely. The inside is also magnificent. The pages are bright white and nice and thick. There is no show through and no bleeding from my pens and markers. There are also handy numbered pages. I’m excited to get started on these new journals and share my prep work with you!
