being vague for the sake of not doxxing myself too much but I work for a company that manufactures construction materials and sells directly to contractors, and in our last office building we just had a reception counter where customers would come up to pay for their products before going over to the loading docks. Like, the only thing they did in the office was stand at the counter, pay for their order, and leave. We moved into a new office building and instead of a counter the customer lobby is now separated by a wall with a sliding window and a door (marked "employees only") to actually get in and out of the office. Our office is in a not-so-great part of town, and while realistically no one is going to try to rob us a lot of the reason its there is for the peace of mind (and plus the girls in customer service have been enjoying the slight bit of privacy and separation as opposed to the open concept in the last building)

We've only been in this building for a week and its insane to me how nearly *every* customer has gotten extremely hostile about the lack of access they have to us now. We've had to adjust the window to where it can only be opened from the inside because customers have been trying to pry it all the way open to lean/stick their heads inside to get closer and try reading the paperwork on people's desks, and when they got mad that the window is locked they keep trying to bust through the "employees only" door and get upset when theyre told they arent allowed back here. And if they aren't forcing their way in theyre huffing and puffing about the fact that theres even separation in the first place and how inconvenient it is. Like, I cannot emphasize enough that customers spend a maximum of five minutes in the office/lobby on any given day. Its extremely bizarre to me that the fact that we are in a closed office is literally SUCH an issue and I dont understand it. Do that many people really just not see customer service workers as human beings that they arent entitled complete access to. Its strange.

deep sigh... i need to stop streaming music on my phone and dig up my old ipod. i need to get a cassette digitizer to preserve my grandfather's recordings of him singing and playing the guitar before they get too damaged to play. i need to back up my spotify playlists on mp3. i need to delete my instagram. i need to stop using face id on my phone (i need to get something that isn't apple, for that matter. something with a headphone jack, ideally). i need to buy an external hard drive so i can actually play games. i need to figure out why i can't download the sims. i need to start living my life not dependent on streaming and the cloud and ready-made disposables and planned obsolescence!!!

i'm doing a decent job already, ive got my favorite albums and movies downloaded and i try to get my games not from steam and i have a cd drive and a record player and an aux cord for my computer and i share my streaming passwords with as many people as i can and i don't pay for spotify and i clear my cookies and block trackers and ads and notifications. i make coffee at home when i can and use libreoffice and waterfox and buy secondhand. i do what i can but i want to do more !

Couple of question to people who use captions, but especially Deaf and HoH folks:

do you prefer captions to have superficial "um"s and "uh"s in them or do you prefer captions with those nonverbals omitted?

do you care about false starts? For example: "I was go-- I was running to the store." Do you prefer the false starts ("I was go--" omitted, or leave them in?

Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by; I’m glad you’re enjoying this blog! :D And please, never wonder about bothering me, as I always love having a reason to go down a Moon Knight-related research rabbit hole hahaha

Nonetheless,,,,I know y’all can’t see me, so just imagine some vaguely human-shaped entity, head in hands. When I tell you I spent hours going through my posts and spinning up some increasingly bonkers boolean searches for this 🤣 and don’t get me wrong, it was absolutely a labor of love, but I’m still not entirely sure I found the exact concept art you’re referring to.

Closest thing I could find was the concept art for an aged Marc Spector in Battleworld: Secret Wars Journal (Vol. 1/2015), #1 by Luca Pizzari (which objectively I think is dope as all get out and I’m glad I found it, but I’m still not sure exactly if it’s what you’re looking for).

Hope this is of some use to someone out there! Sorry if I’m off-base; I completely respect the desire to remain anonymous, so please feel free to send another ask or perhaps a DM with any more possible details or the exact image you would like to learn more about (as again, I don’t need much of a reason to keep researching Moon Knight things :D).
