Daily reminder that Napoleon wrote a book that could be considered a FANFICTION about him and his crush at the time, Bernardine Eugénie Désirée Clary.

The novel is 126 pages long and it was written in 1975. The title is:

Clisson et Eugénie

He didnt even change her name!!!!

Quick synopsis: Napoleon (AKA Clisson) is portrayed as this powerful strong military general, who married Eugenie and had a few kids with her. He then goes to war and she cheats on him with this other guy. He finds out and they divorce and after he sents her and her new lover his last letter he kills himself.

Well, rest in peace Napoleon, you wouldve LOVED wattpad.

i just wanna share this.

i want a period piece show about female pirates. like, that tells the stories of them. not just Anne Bonney, Mary Read, & Ching Shih. i want them and also Joanna of Flanders, Duchess of Brittany (c. 1295 – September 1374) & Jeanne de Clisson, the Lioness of Brittany (1300 – 1359). i want Gráinne O'Malley/Grace O'Malley/Gráinne Ní Mháille (c. 1530 – c. 1603), Sayyida al Hurra (1485 – July 14th, 1561), and the women of the Killigrew family. i want the possibly fictional, possibly real pirate women of Charlotte de Berry (17th century) & Jacquotte Delahaye (fl. 1656). i want the real but stories are mostly probably fictional Anne Dieu-le-Veut (August 28th, 1661 – January 11th, 1710). i want something that shows us the pirate women from outside Europe & the Caribbean, i want the Canadian pirate woman, Maria Lindsey, and the American pirate woman, Rachel Wall.

I just discovered about Jeanne de Belleville (aka Jeanne de Clisson), known as the "Lioness of Brittany". She was a French medieval noblewoman and privateer, who lived from 1300 to 1359. Her exact days of birth and death are unknown, so maybe she was 60 by a few days or weeks?

I'll let you decide if you take in this submission, I can't go back in time to make sure she lived long enough🥲

Obviously Napoleon would write books where he cathartically kills off people who wronged him (since he did that in real life). He was meant to be a messy romance author.

Oh he absolutely missed his calling - should have gone professional with being a dramatic writer. He did do messy romance in real life as well - obvs the most well known of his short-stores being break-up fiction as a means to process his Many Emotions at that time.

Though I'll say that for cathartically killing characters off -I can't call any specific stories to mind. He did write caricatures of people he didn't like (like that one doctor guy in Clisson & Eugenie) - but I can't remember him killing fictional characters based on people he disliked - do you happen to recall which stories?
