Satine Kryze Headcanons

She took debate classes when she was young and she still structures her arguments based on that

She has incredible aim when shooting (she spent way too many hours practicing as a kid because she refused to be less than perfect)

She cannot cook. At all.

She once wanted to study fashion and become a designer, but then the civil war happened and she was the only one of her clan left to take the throne so she gave up on that dream

Arguments are her version of battle. She applies a great amount of strategy to them.

She’s a biter. She always bites Obi-Wan and leaves little marks on him, and he loves it.

When she fights with Obi-Wan she smiles and tells him “oh, you want to kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid” and it drives him mad

She’s tall, but she wears high heels to look even taller because she enjoys looking down at those who disrespect her

She has three handmaidens (used to have four before the war but one of them died and she didn’t want to replace her)

The handmaidens know about the duchess’s secret relationship

About her handmaidens: Erinne is the hair expert, Ashla is the makeup expert, and Lat’iya is Satine’s ‘stunt double’ in cases of danger. (Also Ashla and Lat’iya are dating, Satine is their biggest shipper)

She’s a total nerd about flowers, she can tell you the meaning, native planet and scent of every flower in the galaxy

She was a spoiled kid, and, although she still won’t admit it, she did acknowledge it during her year on the run

She loves taking hot baths in the end of the day, she’ll literally soak for an hour trying to clear her mind

She usually talks to Obi-Wan through holocalls in the evenings when she has a bit of free time, because that time is late night at Coruscant, and Obi-Wan always has trouble sleeping so he calls her to hear about her day

She sometimes practices fighting along with her protectors as exercise, but she still absolutely refuses to carry any deadly weapon.

Once Obi-Wan saw her in practice during one of his visits to Mandalore and he insisted they practice together (“don’t worry, cyare, I’ll go easy on you” “go kriff yourself, Ben”) and she did prove to be quite the challenge (but let’s be honest Obi-Wan is a Jedi so he could best her) but he still let her win and pin him down because he likes it when she tops him what huh who said that 👀

She HATES Almec. Her handmaiden Erinne has a file titled “Shit Almec has done” full of blackmail material against him

She blames herself for Bo-Katan’s entire situation. She thinks she should have protected her little sister at all cost, and although she knows she would have only gotten herself killed, she still thinks she should have stayed with Bo to protect her during the war

She loves reading books but she hardly ever has time for it

She overworks herself. She’ll stay up all night combing through a contract she has to sign, or preparing a speech, and she’ll skip meals if she’s late or anxious, and more than once she ended up in a hospital on the verge of burnout.

Once Obi-Wan notices, he purposely tries to get her to rest. When he’s away all he can do is call and make her promise to sleep and eat, but when he visits Mandalore he cooks her favorite foods for her. And of course when it comes to convincing her to rest, he has ways of getting her to bed 😌

Many of her jewelry used to belong to her mother. All of her family’s belongings and portraits were burned when the palace was raided, but the jewelry that were kept in Kalevala were untouched for her to claim after the war.

She’s great at singing, sometimes when she’s alone she starts singing mandalorian tunes from her childhood. She did that a lot during the year on the run, and once Obi-Wan heard her singing and he was literally enchanted.

This is hardly a headcanon but when she’s angry she WILL shout and yell. You can take the mandalorian out of the angry environment but you can’t take the anger out of the mandalorian.

When she was crowned after the war, one of her main focuses was education for her people. She reformed the education department and made history a mandatory subject because she’s a firm believer that “those who forget history are doomed to repeat it”

She met Padmé when she first visited Qui-Gon’s grave in Naboo

thinking about my frustrations with the current system we live under and realizing my experiences (constantly having very little money, thus preventing me from buying things except once in a blue moon unless there's a free option available) are not universal. however i am charging headlong down making a mobile game, and while i probably will put ads into it bc im a broke bitch i refuse to let it be just another of the hundreds of half-assed tutorial projects with a quadspillion ads in them apiece

but this leads me to a conundrum.

i want to have cute little skins for the player character that can be "bought" through one of two things: achieving a cumulative score high enough to unlock it, or by watching a certain number of ads willingly. notably, i refuse to use the ones that interrupt the gameplay out of nowhere and do nothing except pay me, even if they technically pay app makers more than any other kind of ad.

i'm just not sure exactly how to implement it:

should the "unlock via Playing The Game" skins be completely separate from the "watch x number of ads" skins?

should the "unlock via Playing The Game" option be available on the same skins that have the "watch x number of ads" option?

should the "watch x number of ads" thing be reworked into just "watch an ad to add x amount to your current spendable score"?

should i go the scummy route and implement flat-out in-app purchases for if someone doesn't want to watch an ad to get a skin??? does anybody actually do that????? i'm too broke to comprehend the existence of that kind of person but they have to exist if half-assed apps (and tbh whole-assed apps) keep on acting like they're real

should i forfeit my dignity and integrity and do lootboxes
