PROMOTE
Tumblr media
One of the diamonds in the rough so to speak. One should not miss out on his unorthodox techniques or creative moveset. I liked him in Lucha Underground as Killshot and, like there, he stands out because he brings something different to the table. Unlike Keith Lee, who seems like a hit or miss, the only drawback to Swerve is the same probelem AEW has with any talent they don't know what to do with so I'll make it easy for them - push this guy, make his star shine in the spotlight, and give him the recognition he deserves.
Tumblr media
Honorable mentions to Kris Statlander and Julia Hart. In Kris Statlander's case she's injured again so it hampers her improvements this year. Had she stayed healthy she'd of taken the spot Jamie Hayter now covets. As for Julia Hart she wasn't on the official roster and I feel sorry for her being put in such a bad position spending half the year in a "will she won't she" storyline between The Varsity Blondes and The House of Black and, when joining said House of Black, is now only 1 of 2 remaining active members and just last week almost died on TV. She deserves better - maybe if Saraya is cleared Julia should do something with her to help her out of this rut. Beyond this I just wish her the best - Justice for Julia!
Anyways Jamie Hayter is 2022's Dark Horse of AEW. She has won over the fans and interest all by being a superior athlete and a vastly improved look from her 2019 version. Even after loss after loss and made to seem like a sidekick the fans don't buy it - they want her to win like they wanted The Acclaimed to win the Tag Team Belts. What's the hold up? Strike whilst the iron is hot - give Jamie some meaningful wins. Oh and put her in the BCC - at least then the faction would mean something more than a platform to hold Bryan Danielson back. Jeez why does Toni Storm have the title and not her...beat her, beat Thunder Rosa to be undisputed, then beat Jade Cargill in a "Champion Vs Champion" match to cement Hayter as the top talent in the women's division.
Tumblr media
The better Scorpio Sky. Everything Sky has achieved Jay Lethal should achieve more - one of the most consummate professionals in all wrestling, a fantastic help to guys like Sammy Guevara and Ricky Starks when he put them over, and very humble to help others as best he can. He has already paid his dues in AEW and it's time for him to be rewarded for this.
Tumblr media
The bizarro Goldberg. Goldberg got everything but had no dues or tenured talent to deserve it. Claudio is an incredibly strong, fast, techical, versatile, and enduring person in wrestling. He has spent the prime of his entire life in a company who treated him wrong yet we're supposed to feel sorry for how CM Punk got treated. Yeah this is why the fans of wrestling eat poor and live poor because you have right here the most valuable asset in professional wrestling. Oh wait he can't 'talk' you mean he's a stoic throwback and not a bombastic dramatist like your Jericho or Moxley types? I never understand why people want AEW to be an 'alternative' to WWE when you have the most alternative answer to what you know about wrestling in Claudio. He's everything - he's old school, he's new school, he's the guy you could put in ANY ERA and he'd be great. This guy is the modern day Bruno Sammartino except the industry can't book him for 9 years on top because then it'd made sense. A crime this guy isn't AEW World Champion or at least TNT Champion. No no his ROH run doesn't even matter who brought this up!? Go sit down and remain silent until you're asked to talk again.
Tumblr media
This was a hard toss-up between him and Max Caster but, like with all things, waiting just a little can make all the difference and Caster is in a good position right now where he belongs. What about Kaz then? He can work, he can talk, and he can help others. I don't get why good people get punished whilst bad people get rewarded. What did Kaz do wrong? You can't say he's too old because a number of talent are doing better than him whilst being older. You can't say he's boring because so is Garcia and Yuta and yet they're pushed. What is it? Lack of ego? No I don't mean Ethan Page I mean he's not causing problems. Is this it? He's too professional? Amazing. Maybe him, Ogogo, Sydal, and some of the others should make a faction, because Tony Khan LOVES FACTIONS, and call themselves "The Professionals" because all they're here to do is win matches and be examples of this business. Imagine AEW needing this as a gimmick.
Tumblr media
I'm including this as an entry for them as a Tag Team but honestly you could say they'd do equally well as singles. The Lucha Brothers are mainstays of AEW who have always been constants in the company, Penta even more than Fenix, yet both are due for major pushes. It's like FTR - you can't deny something which always delivers. One day we'll see these two wrestle each other again, which was a treat the last time, and I hope this time it's for higher stakes.
Tumblr media
As I've said before in previous years, anyone who is not on the list is because I either find what they are doing fine and AEW can just stay the course or, if they have appeared before, won't again beacuse I am principled to believe what I said before and will stand by it. In the case of Darby Allin I felt the last couple years he was doing fine but 2022 he's been misused and treated like a joke. No better example than the ill-fated loss to Jeff Hardy. If MJF is destined to win the AEW title then destiny sees Darby beating MJF for said title. How can you see it right now? They need to build Darby up now before it's too late. Cut him from Sting, maybe do a "Best of Seven" with Swerve, and try to ensure by 2023's annual recap I'm not regretting putting stock into Darby Allin now.
Tumblr media
This comes with a caveat - I do not mean return him to AEW no I mean return him to ROH, let him beat Jericho for the ROH title, and bring it to prominence. Adam Cole's run in AEW was tainted after his win to Jungle Boy (and anyone else by low blow it seems) by having him paired up with Orange Cassidy and his friends Kyle and Bobby made to become second rate versions of themselves too. Kyle, in fairness, did get to be utilised better which only made Adam Cole look more diminished as time went on. We can't see him on AEW first - let him be the flagship to ROH and go from there. A calming influence within a sea of anger at AEW.
Tumblr media
The unsung heroine of the women's division - the pinfall princess - Riho suffered an injury back in February and we've not seen her since. She's sorely missed. I never realised just how needed she was until I saw all the awful women's wrestling throughout 2022. Riho is always great just as Hikaru Shida is, just as Yuka Sakazaki is, and even Maki Itoh. It's a cultural export some don't have the stomach for yet people have never felt she didn't truly belong - they're just sour over the success of a perpetual underdog. Riho is a joy to watch because she has to brave the odds.
Tumblr media
Last year, Bryan Danielson was the greatest AEW talent working, AEW was doing really well doing into 2022, and it all got ruined when Jon Moxley forced him to become part of this BCC storyline. Ever since then he's been made to look like the 2nd or 3rd or even 4th best of the group (maybe even 5th if you count Regal seducing his "Man in the Mask"). His loss to Daniel Garcia was one of 2022's most pathetic calls. Did Moxley lose to Yuta? Did Jericho position himself to lose to a upcoming talent like Dante Martin? If AEW can't do right by him then at least make him tear it up in NJPW or somewhere else where his style matters. Like Claudio, and as MJF likes to parrot, Bryan Danielson is GEN E RATIONAL TALENT. You can't afford for him to miss the last great years of his career by floundering in the midcard and wrestling bums like Matt Menure. He was born for this and, like Ricky Steamboat, will always be a great talent.

i don’t think cm punk will be fired nor do i think he will leave because khan spent too much money on him & punk isn’t walking away from all that money. he has NOWHERE else to go. i know the elite won’t leave because of one guy but i bet they will be upset that punk is staying.
but i don’t think any of this will become an angle either. maybe they will bury the hatchet in time but there’s no way they will bring all this colt cabana stuff up in a storyline for multiple reason. i doubt colt & punk want to work together, i doubt punk will allow the elite to go deeper and blow up punk’s version of the cabana story & i doubt cabanda will get involved because their beef will make punk look bad and its all about punk walking out on wwe. its just a lose-lose situation for everyone and everyone is in the wrong.
i think punk might make amends by jobbing clean to hangman page because tons of aew fans dislike punk right now.

Top 20 Wrestlers of 2021 (Part 1)
Description: 2021 was one of the strangest years in recent memory as far as Pro Wrestling is concerned. The pandemic era in general has seen a lot of changes and to a certain degree the business and the products produced in it have not completely gotten back to normal. If you had told me in 2019 we would have Bryan Danielson & CM Punk at the same company and a heel Roman Reigns would be one of the most over guys in the WWE, I would've argued it down, I wouldn't have been able to fathom it but here we are.
5. Shingo Takagi-After dominating Dragon Gate as the top heel for a long stretch, Shingo Takagi showed up in New Japan Pro Wrestling as a much needed addition to LIJ in 2018. EVIL split in 2020 becoming a member of Bullet Club and although he got some championships and a pretty good singles run out of it, I don't think his turn made the impact that was expected. Bullet Club has struggled to find it's footing after losing The Elite (Kenny & The Bucks) and other high profile members like Marty Scurll, Adam Cole & Cody Rhodes but I think LIJ has had the same struggles. EVIL & SANADA's time in the tag division didn't make that big of a splash and Hiromu suffered a significant neck injury that took him out of action for quite some time. Bushi has always kind of been a role player and hasn't been able to stand out amongst the members of the stable and of course Naito is still Naito but they really haven't had another legitimate main event presence until Shingo showed up. Before he and Will Ospreay would become official heavyweights and leave the Junior division, they would began one of the greatest and most exciting rivalries of the era. Their match in the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament in 2019 was the spark that lit the fuse. I think that was the moment the fans began to realize we had something here. They would meet again in other high profile matches the G1 Climax of 2020 and then again in the New Japan Cup of 2021 where he would fall to Ospreay in the finals. Ospreay would appear to have the lead in their rivalry but Shingo kept himself in the conversation when he won the World Heavyweight Championship by besting Okada in Osaka. For now, Shingo appears to have solidified himself as a top contender and while he's not exactly young, longevity is common in New Japan. At 39 years old, he could feasibly be a main stay in the rivalry for the ace spot for years to come. 4. Will Ospreay-I first discovered Will Ospreay working for WCPW which later became Defiant Wrestling and is now defunct. The first time I saw him work, I knew he was something special. Guys like him get a lot of flak for their more acrobatic style and Puroresu snobs don't like "flippy shit" in their wrestling but I think the majority of wrestling fans can enjoy his style for what is, and they can agree that he's a skilled worker.
He started bulking up in 2018 as he made his way to NJPW's heavyweight division. He toned his style down a little because he's not going to be young forever. All of those flips and acrobatic moves and throwing caution to the wind could cost him his health, so while he's still a highflyer...he puts more of his core strength into his work. He's been a championship collector all over the world since his early 20's and in 2021 at 27-28 years old, he didn't show any signs of slowing down.
Coming off of a big 2020 where he had finally captured the RevPro British Heavyweight Championship for the first time, which he still holds currently and his United Empire stable was formed in New Japan after he transitioned from under Kazuchika Okada as a member of Chaos, Will Ospreay set his sights on the IWGP World Championship and became one of it's 4 title holders since it's unification after he defeated Kota Ibushi in Tokyo at the NJPW 49th Anniversary Show.
Ospreay had a chance to leave NJPW and maybe seek bigger money and more recognition at WWE or maybe even AEW. Contracts aren't forever, but he has made it clear that NJPW is his home and he's built a legacy for himself in both the Junior Heavyweight Division and now in the Heavyweight Division after he's won the big one. The best part is with Ospreay being under 30 and people who work in Japan having so much longer of a life span in the sport because they work less dates and don't put a lot of wear and tear on their bodies, they can get so much more use out of him in years to come.
3. Kota Ibushi-Ibushi like Ospreay spent a lot of time as a Junior in NJPW but he also wouldn't commit to them fully. In 2019 he made it clear that he was at the company to stay, and they began working on his ascent to the top of the mountain. He didn't follow his long-time friend, Kenny Omega to AEW even after they reunited as "The Golden Lovers" and New Japan rewarded him heavily for it.
In 2019 he became the first wrestler in the history of the company to win the G1 Climax, the Best of the Super Juniors and The New Japan Cup. In 2020 he won the G1 Climax again and then in 2021 @ Wrestle Kingdom 15, he defeated Tetsuya Naito for the IWGP Intercontinental & Heavyweight Championship, making him a double champion. Those titles were unified in March, also making him the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion but he would lose that new title to Will Ospreay after he won the New Japan Cup.
After the departure of Kenny Omega and The Elite, New Japan has had to scramble and make new stars because they lost the new Ace's biggest rival and their strongest Gaijin heel stable was gutted. Ibushi choosing to stay in Japan and make his mark on NJPW was great for them because he's one of the best performers this company has ever seen, and he has history with a lot of their bigger names which will make for some great rivalries moving forward.
2. Kenny Omega-It can be argued that Kenny Omega deserves to be #1 on this list over Roman Reigns. Kenny has never had the massive corporate machine behind him in the sport but he's managed to keep his name relevant and in the midst of that "Best in the World conversation" for quite some time now. At the close of 2020, he defeated Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship and he not only became the focal point of that company's business but the focal point of several others as well. In April of 2021, Omega would add a 3rd World Championship to his name after he defeated Rich Swann to become Impact's World Champion. He had already been holding AAA's Mega Championship since 2019. AAA does big business in Mexico, so much so that WWE even being the largest pro wrestling company in the world and having huge international stars can't really compete with them on that front. When Omega vacated the title in November of 2021, he ended his reign as the longest reigning champion in the history of the title.
Indy wrestlers or guys who work promotions outside of the U.S. like Progress and NJPW are no strangers to winning multiple titles at the same time, but I don't think it's ever been done on this scale. Even when Cody Rhodes was both the IWGP United States Champion and NWA Champion, NWA didn't even have a home, their product wouldn't re-launch until 2019 when "NWA Powerrr" started airing on Youtube. Kenny doing all of this as a heel made him attractive opponent for babyfaces looking to make a name for themselves. That babyface would be Hangman Adam Page. It's not talked about often in Pro Wrestling any more what different characters actually gain by working with or against one another or what heels/babyfaces are supposed to contribute to their stories or to their peers in competition with them. Kenny's run doesn't have value because of what it did for him, he's already a legend on his resume alone but it has value for what it did for Page. He put him in the highest position he's ever been in his career.
1. Roman Reigns-If someone keeps giving you the ball, eventually you have to dunk it and that's exactly what Roman Reigns did in 2020 and continued to do in 2021. Roman became Vince McMahon's "golden boy" around late 2014-early 2015. Out of the members of The Shield it was evident that he was the Superstar Vince wanted to be the face of the company in the future. He had the look, he had the Pro Wrestling lineage, he was a solid worker and best of all in Vince's eyes, he was homegrown. He was the one member of that faction that Vince could take credit for. Seth Rollins as Tyler Black and Dean Ambrose as Jon Moxley already had careers in the business before they came to WWE. Roman was also the last member of the group to shed the image and the branding of the stable. While Dean Ambrose went for a more everyman look and Rollins went for a more superhero/vigilante style look as "The Kingslayer" and then later a supervillain look as the "Monday Night Messiah", Roman kept his typical look, the tactical vests and even the Shield theme music for the bulk of his time on the main roster.
Roman floundered as a babyface for years. He didn't get over organically with the fans. Many felt that everything he is was manufactured, he was a corporate created entity. For the boos we gave him, the fans suggested a heel turn but WWE wouldn't pull the trigger on it until Summerslam 2020. After allying himself with Paul Heyman, Roman Reigns set his sights on the Universal Championship, a title he vacated when the pandemic hit. His Leukemia put him at risk for COVID-19. Bray Wyatt had become "The Fiend" at this point and was in a heated feud with his former brother-in-arms, Braun Strowman. At Payback Roman would defeat them both, becoming Universal Champion for the 3rd time in his career. With the top title in the company in his possession he declared himself "The Head of the Table". He would later clash with his cousin Jey Uso while his brother Jimmy was out with a knee injury. This was the biggest moment of Jey's career because without his brother he was free to go out on his own and make a name for himself but Roman asserted his dominance over him even while getting him into main events and pushing him to his limits. Roman didn't want to beat Jey, he just wanted him to "acknowledge him"; to acknowledge him as his "Tribal Chief" and the head of the Anoa'i Family Table. When Jimmy returned to stand up for his brother, that put him in harm’s way and ultimately The Usos as a unit ended up bending to the will of Roman giving him what he wanted. At the close of his feud with Jey, Afa & Sika (Roman's Father & Uncle aka The Wild Samoans) would officially crown Roman the "Tribal Chief" as they placed the Ulafala around his neck.
With his family in his corner, forming the Bloodline, Roman would leave a trail of bodies behind him. The bodies of those who were gunning for the Universal Championship. He laid waste to the biggest stars on the SmackDown brand between 2020 and 2021 and killed the momentum of anyone who thought they were gonna knock him off his square, which included, Kevin Owens, Cesaro, Bray Wyatt, Braun Strowman, Finn Balor, Sami Zayn, John Cena, Montez Ford and even the Raw World Champions, Drew McIntyre and Big E.
Roman is undoubtedly doing the best work of his career. His promos seem more natural even though you know they are scripted; he's embraced the hatred he has received over the course of his career, and he has settled in to his first actual "character" since he's been on the main roster. He's been having stellar matches too. Usually, I would trash this sort of booking because there doesn't seem to be much benefit for anyone else but for the time being it is working. WWE is finally getting their wish. Roman has completely changed the perception of him in the eyes of some fans. He gets more positive reactions as a heel than he did as a babyface. He's maybe the biggest star of his generation and he continues to put eyes on the product and carry the flag for the company. For me, there is more value in the final payoff when he puts someone else over, but I can wait until they get to their destination.

Relationships
*Note ~ Any Animal Crossing works I post portrays the villagers as their gijinkas. Their human forms.
Raymond ~ Friendship Level 6
Raymond arrived last August right after the campsite was established, being the first one to arrive. (Yep. I’m telling the truth. Right before my birthday too.) When Emelia first saw Raymond, she knew who he was right away. How could she not know who he was?! She begged asked Tom to let him live in Chronisse just minutes around maybe a few hours after speaking to him. Although it may seem as though Raymond makes her swoon, it’s rather the opposite. He intimidates her, but that fills her stomach with butterflies. They have similar auras and similar interests in mind. He just melts her little goth heart! On his end, she’s a hardworking human who entertains him nonetheless. He can’t get enough of her, watching her carry on with her everyday business and offering to help at times, which flusters her.
Poppy ~ Friendship Level 6
Poppy arrived in January of 2021 when she went out time traveling, making her the second villager to arrive. Emelia thinks of Poppy like a sister, always there for reassurance and advice. She labels her to be the brains of the island, despite her claiming otherwise. Emelia took her advice on creating LGBT inspired fireworks for the upcoming summer, and she’s thrilled to see them. Emelia, in Poppy’s eyes, is just how she calls her— a softie! Soft and beautiful. She looks up to Emelia, sometimes complimenting her on her work with the island or helping her with nature esque furniture. She remembers on her birthday when she gave her a close line and several tops, including a shirt that was made up of the colors of the lesbian pride flag. She could never thank her enough for that.
Judy ~ Friendship Level 6
Judy was found in a mystery island in October, making her the third to stay. Out of all the girls, Emelia feels as though she can relate to Judy the most. (Minus the bitchiness that exudes from Judy but-) Judy and Emelia share the same fashion sense, which is why she prefers to go shopping with her. What really gets to Judy though is what she can do with Emelia’s emotions. She loves to mess with her and her love admiration for Raymond. So what does she do? She invited Raymond along on ther shopping sprees from time to time. But really, Judy knows Emelia well. She knows she wants to show off. She wants to help her with her confidence, the same way that Emelia does. They’re confidence boots for each other.
Murphy ~ Friendship Level 4
Murphy arrived November using the campsite, the fourth villager to come by. See, Murphy is an older guy. Emelia doesn’t hang around him often, but he’s nice to be around. He gives good advice to her and he helps out around the island without being asked. When she saw that he was interacting well with the other villagers, she investigated him herself. He seemed trustworthy, despite the fact he nags and complains a lot. Raymond got involved with him which really peaked her interest, so she invested more time in him. Murphy likes the fact she’s spunky, but worries for her at times when she overworks herself. He offers her food sometimes and a place to relax when he sees she’s a bit tired or sore. Being a bit of a tsundere, Murphy can’t say he enjoys her company, because he does. Overall, they don’t interact as often as one would prefer, but they do get along.
Skye ~ Friendship Level 5
Skye is the fifth villager, she was found in November on a mystery island. She doesn’t know what attracted her to Skye, but they clicked. Maybe it was her innocent appearance? The combo of chocolate brown and aquamarine? Her friendly yet intimidating nature? No one knows. However, they do get along nicely. Skye almost thinks of Emelia as a good friend, whereas Emelia thinks of her as an older sister figure. She’s got a wolf like personality. She may be calm and aloof, but she can pack a punch if need be. That’s what she likes about her. Skye finds everything that her island’s rep does to be very caring, yet she worries for her at times. She once told her that sometimes she doesn’t seem to understand how hard she works herself and her body, and that it would be a good idea to relax for a while. Take some time for yourself, she said. Nevertheless, Emelia had one goal in mind... she was looking for someone... Skye admired her perseverance but gosh...
Marshal ~ Friendship Level 5
Snow was falling on the night he arrived, the sixth villager to move in. He came around December, just days before Christmas. Upon seeing him, she nearly had a panic attack. She remembered wanting to have an elite island populous. Now was her chance! For months, she had been searching for this man. (For real. I’m telling the truth. This man was exhausting to find and he has the audacity to—) Emelia then made it her personal mission to try and get him over. She succeeded, after a few hours of begging and pleading and bargaining conversation. She treats him and Raymond like kings, and unlike Raymond, Marshal returns her behavior. He drinks his juice and presents himself to be the island’s himbo. She loves him for this. She remembers in New Years Eve when they were both waiting for the clock to run out and he hugged her when the clock ran out. She never felt more flustered in her life. Overall, they treat each other like royalty. Best coffee mates.
Axel ~ Friendship Level 1
A jock...? The seventh villager to arrive in early February. and she can’t stand him already. She thought she could take Kid Cat, which he was fine. But this man? He’s too big and too brooding for her to handle sometimes. She could be just setting a cute little cafe up by her flower gardens, and she would see him and shiver. She doesn’t really like jocks that much. She wishes to find Dom though, but other than him that’s about it. Axel doesn’t really know a lot about her because she never talks to him, but he does find her pretty cute. Small and dainty. When he sees her speak to Raymond or Marshal, he pours because of how “weak” they are compared to him. It’s not that she doesn’t like Axel, it’s just that she feels as though she’s a little too intimidated by him, to an overwhelming degree.
Stitches ~ Friendship Level 4
She loooves Stitches! He came by in Late February, the eighth villager for her to meet. She saw him and felt a little warm on the inside. He warms her heart with his innocent sleepy nature and his baking expertise. A good ol’ mama’s boy! She pats his head and he melts. Stitches looks up to Emelia as though she was a mother duckling. He tries to imitate her sometimes, to which those imitations go completely wrong and she ends up having a good laugh. Emelia however sometimes stops and ponders at how Stitches can be so carefree and laidback. She gets jealous at time to time when it comes to this behavior if his, and sometimes wants to be like him, but she knows she has priorities to fulfill. Until that day comes, she’ll continue to cheer Stitches on from afar, like the good boy he is.
Marina ~ Friendship Level 3
Marina is the ninth villager to call Chronisse home, arriving in early March after being found on a mystery island. She reminded her of Poppy, so she brought her over. Now she started a little group comprised of Skye, Poppy, and now Marina. The normal trio. Her love for the color pink intrigues her yet freaks her out. How much pink does one need? She thinks she’s sweet though, with her cute sweatshirts. Marina finds Emelia to be strong yet kind, and a force to be reckoned with. Although she has to thank her for allowing her to meet Poppy, (refer to my headcanons for that,) she’s about to realize that this is just the beginning of a relationship bound to blossom, if she’s willing to work with Emelia that is.
Merengue ~ Friendship Level 2
Merengue is the tenth villager to show up. She showed up in Mid March. She just met Emelia, so she doesn’t really have a lot to say about her. But when she listens to everyone else minus Axel, she wonders if she’ll believe them. Emelia tries so very hard to appeal to Merengue, however, it may take some time before she can say that she’s her friend. Like Poppy, she was apprehensive at first when meeting Emelia, due to her aura and overall appearance. However, when noticing her softer nature, she began to soften around her just a bit. We’ll just have to let time decide on a true answer. Maybe in time things will turn up.
~~~~
Another OC intro, done. This is my Animal Crossing OC... one of them. I have another one, but I’m nervous about presenting her. Maybe one day after I tweak her up a bit. Until then... ✨😊
AEW made it’s formal conception on January 1, 2019 and has since been making a number of accomplishments since. Including sold out shows, record merch sales, signing major stars, and  breaking one million viewers semi-regularly just to name a few. As we come to closing out the year AEW is looking to continue the highs they’ve been receiving in 2021 with the debut of their second televised program AEW Rampage. An hour series that will act as an equal to it’s sister program AEW Dynamite. And with the show they put on for night one that promise has so far already been kept.
AEW Rampage is a 2021 pro wrestling series produced by AEW & WarnerMedia. It currently airs Fridays at 9:00 AM Central on TNT.
Editor’s Note: Spoilers for the debut episode of AEW Rampage and potential spoilers for the second episode may be present within this review.
AEW Rampage opened with an amazing match and a shock finish.
Kenny Omega (c) vs Christian Cage for the Impact World Championship:
In the opening (and first ever) contest of AEW Rampage, AEW featured a historic moment in which the Impact World Championship was defended for the very first time on another national wrestling promotion’s television program. AEW, Impact, and AAA World Champion Kenny Omega defended against challenger Christian Cage in a bit of a preview to their upcoming All Out main event match for the AEW World Championship. First just wanted to point out that the Pittsburg crowd was HOT for this show from start to finish. It really goes to show that if you give your audience a bit of respect they often respond in kind. Which is a polar opposite to a lot of WWE crowds who often attack the shows with obnoxious chants such as “What!?” & “CM PUNK!”. But WWE often shows little respect to their audience so it can be a bit forgiven.
Omega and Cage are both rather high level in-ring performers, especially the latter at age 47. AEW typically has their best matches open and close their shows and this philosophy continued on the debut of Rampage. Most of the offense surprisingly came from Christian who was really showing out against Omega who was mainly selling everything. At one point in the match Christian hit Omega with a Spear and had a cool near fall. Finish saw the Young Bucks coming out while Don distracted a ref and they handed Kenny a chair. As Omega was preparing for the One-Winged Angel, Christian turned the tides with a Killswitch on the very chair Omega had prepared for a three count. Omega sold the Killswitch like he was shot and Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus join Cage for the post-match celebration.
Winner AND NEW Impact World Champion Christian Cage: **** 1/2 stars
Beloved jobber Fuego del Sol gained a life changing victory in defeat.
Following the commercial break with get Mark Henry interviewing Cage with Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus having A Little Bit of the Bubbly. Cage said Kenny caused him to bring everything he had and felt he wasn’t going to win. He then states that if he gave him so much trouble for the Impact title it’ll be next to impossible for him to win the AEW title, but the victory has Cage in Omega’s head. Next match is God’s Favorite Champion Miro taking on everybody’s favorite jobber Fuego del Sol for the TNT Championship. If Sol wins he’ll be signed to an AEW contract.
Fuego del Sol vs Miro (c) for the TNT Championship:
If you’re even remotely apart of AEW’s social media circles you’ve probably heard of the rise of Fuego del Sol fka Kage. Sol began wrestling in a trampoline fed on Youtube prior to pursing his dreams on the independent circuit. Fuego; real life best friend of rising AEW star Sammy Guevara found his way to the promotion through recommendation working AEW Dark during their stay at Daily’s Place during the pandemic. Fuego also had a starring role in Guevara’s vlog entitled “Sammy’s Vlog” in which he films & documents his & his friends & co-workers’ real lives and careers as a professional wrestlers. Fuego became a fan-favorite due to his likable personality and optimism. AEW took notice of Fuego’s skyrocketing popularity and often had him featured on Dark and occasionally on flagship series Dynamite. The running gag of Sammy’s Vlog was Fuego’s real-life quest for a contract despite his losing streak and the fact that he also worked at Burger King to support his family while on PPA (pay per appearances) bookings with AEW.
Sammy stated many times that the goal of his vlog was to help his friends and guests to establish a gimmick, place to explore personality, and an opportunity to reach an audience basically to help wrestlers get over. And it’s kind of poetic that Fuego is one of the first to truly accomplish those goals. Fuego is now a hit on social media with many of his tweets gaining five digit numbers in likes something that’s rather unheard of from someone who’s had no real presence in the WWE. Now that we’ve gotten to the background of Fuego and the importance of this storyline (apologies for being so long winded about it) we can move on to the match itself.
This was more or less a squash match, but the point was to get Fuego over in front of a big crowd. As the match began Fuego showed his bravery by hitting Miro with a variation of the Tornado DDT his finishing move of which he is the master. Fuego goes for a pin but only got a one count, he follows up with a second Tornado DDT as the crowd goes ballistic in cheers and Miro wisely rolls out of the ring. Commentary reminds people at home that if Fuego wins via count out he may not win the title but he will in fact still win the AEW contract. Miro unfortunately gets back into the ring at nine only to be hit with THIRD Tornado DDT at this stage the crowd is all over Fuego. He goes for a pin, but gets a very close near fall. As Miro recovers he nails Fuego with the Bulgarian Drop & Thrust Kick followed by the Game Over submission for the win.
Winner and still AEW TNT Champion Miro: *** stars
AEW Women’s World Champion returned to Brittsburg in the main event.
Miro celebrates and rips the contract as we head to commercial. Returning from the break Fuego recovers from his heartbreaking loss as the Pittsburg crowd gives him a standing ovation for his efforts. Commentary is selling the idea that this is Fuego’s final official appearance in AEW as they’re back on a touring schedule. Suddenly, Sammy Guevara’s music hits and he appears (briefly) with Tony Khan who hands him a mic and clipboard. Sammy tells Fuego that despite losing he may have still won. Reminding him of his disappointing win-loss record, he tells him it doesn’t matter as the fans and the wrestlers in the back all love him. Realizing what’s about to go down Fuego starts ugly crying as Sammy tells Fuego that Tony Khan wanted himself as his best friend to inform him that as of tonight he is officially All Elite and the crowd goes nuts. In an interview with Sports Illustrated Tony Khan stated that this was 100% shoot and that only Sammy knew Fuego was getting signed regardless of his loss. If you’ve followed Fuego’s journey from the beginning or middle where he made his AEW it really shows that anyone can get themselves over if they work hard enough and have the right platform. Contrastingly, in WWE if you get over without being their chosen guy or gal you’re punished for it being viewed as “having gone into business for yourself”. A testament to this is the infamous rise of Matt Cardona fka Zach Ryder who rose to fame with his “Z! True Long Island Story” Youtube series and had a fundamental role in teaching pro wrestlers to use the internet and social media to work for themselves to get over and would go on to inspire shows such as BTE (Being the Elite) & Sammy’s Vlog.
Cardona would regularly embarrassed and buried on WWE TV after a pity run with the WWE United States Championship rarely finding success beyond point for the remainder of his run in the promotion. Reports stated that morale among talent hit a record low, Cardona’s best friend Impact Wrestling star Brian Myers was also quoted as saying WWE “would hold “brass ring” pep talks every WrestleMania that suddenly stopped once Cardona got over”. So in short, unless you’re their flavor of the week/month/year WWE won’t take it kindly if you work hard and gain a following without their say. Whereas AEW (and virtually every other promotion ever) will do the compete opposite and show support, but enough of the rant it’s time for the main event.
Red Velvet vs Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D for the AEW Women’s World Championship:
Fuego wasn’t the only new signee of the night.
As the match starts Velvet is understandingly thrown off by the boos. More confusingly Velvet is working as a babyface for much of the match, rectifies this when she begins working Britt’s wrist. Obviously, Britt is the heel, but for the sake if the circumstances I’m glad Velvet played into being the baddie for the night. Also can I just say how crazy it’s been seeing Red Velvet grow as an in ring performer? I’ve seen her since her debut on Dark and basically followed through since her debut on Dynamite with Cody against Jade Cargill and Shaq. She’s still fairly fresh and young as a worker, but has really shown off her potential especially here. Lots of back and forth offense from Britt and Red. The finish saw Britt attempting the Lockjaw with the hurt wrist, but once Velvet escapes she brilliantly reverses it with her opposite arm for the submission.
Winner and still AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker: **** stars
While Britt celebrates she beats down Velvet who comes back only to be beat down again by the returning Jamie Hayter with a new look. Hayter had a bit run on AEW Dark & NXT UK prior to her return as a full-time AEW talent. Britt had been hinting that she was opening up a bodyguard position and Hayter will fit that role moving forward. AEW Rampage’s debut was an extremely strong show with fantastic matches and excellent storytelling. This Friday is surprisingly going to be even more important, as unless you’ve been living under a rock “The First Dance” in the United Center will be the host of the long-awaited return of CM Punk to pro wrestling and not as an analyst as an in-ring talent. AEW and Punk himself are barely trying to throw fans off of what is undoubtedly going to be a legendary moment for them in their short time alive. 2021 has been very good to AEW and pro wrestling as a whole and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. AEW gives AEW Rampage’s debut episode an 80 out of 100.
Tumblr media
Arón Piper x reader 🌿
Arón’s car slowed down in front of a big white fence and a wooden gate; the unrecognisable sound of cars passing by cannot be heard, and comparing to the crazy part of Madrid your apartment is located, this one is maybe too quiet. The sun is gently caressing your skin as you accepted the cold, reassuring air coming out from the car’s air conditioning system before Arón turned it off. This year, spring is warmer than usual and this warmth plus the morning sickness equals a disaster.
Not much time passed since you have told Arón about the positive pregnancy test and it’s been almost a week since you’ve been proudly wearing that beautiful engagement ring. Arón is the happiest you’ve ever seen in the last three years together, he’s proud and also too worried. Despite the fact that you are living in the same apartment, he calls every time he arrives somewhere, just to check on you. He texts you whenever he have some break, no matter how small and he calls again when he is about to leave some place and come back home to you. You continued going to work, though Arón insisted it’s good for you and the baby to stay home and rest.
Though you started to develop a very serious phobia about mornings based on the sickness you still feel every day, this one is different. He wasn’t sleeping so peacefully, with a hand under his pillow and the other one between the two of you, like every morning. He was the first to wake up, made you a glass full of fresh orange juice and bring it to you in bed. He caressed your skin and surrounded your body with small kisses, while one of his hands rested on your stomach. Every night, after a long talk about everything and nothing specific, he liked to caress your belly and talk to his daughter, eventually falling asleep with a hand on your womb. You are convinced that is a boy, but it’s far too early to determine the gender. At your first ultrasound, you could see it; a little spot painted on a strange picture. He stopped the engine and surrounded the car to help you get out. You tried explaining him a million times you have no disability, you are perfectly capable to do things by yourself, but he is so stubborn, he will ignore you and continue only to tease you. “What are we doing here?” you asked as he opened the gate and let you inside the courtyard. There is a stone path leading to a white house, surrounded by a big, green yard, with many trees and flowers enchanting your eyes.   “I saw an announcement a few days ago and when I came over here, I literally saw your name on it. It’s perfect for us, now that we are expecting a little you to come around and mess up with our nerves. Do you like it?” Arón laughed a little and faced you.
Arón is a big tornado filled with so much love and kindness for everything and everyone, despite the grave expression he is showing off. You understood that to remain this way in a world full of suffering and misery, sadness and wickedness, he had to put on a mask to protect himself. From the first time he opened up to you, you knew he is the sunshine that the world needs the most. He is the only one that could light up this world with his smile, his laugh or even with his presence. He emanates this amazing vibe that everyone loves.
“It’s beautiful, Arón. But how much is it?” You love this house, it has everything you’ve ever wanted. It’s a white and simple storey house, with balconies, outdoor terrace and large windows for more natural light. But it’s a traditional Spanish house, it’s old with so many great stories from the past embedded into its walls and it means it’s expensive as hell. Arón waved his hand at you and turned, so he could admire the house, “Come on, don’t worry about the price, I already bought it anyway.”
“You did what?” your anger instantly popped and you started feeling some strange warmth covering your entire body. “Why would you make such an important step all by yourself? I’ve always wanted to go house hunting.” You whimpered like a little kid.    “You are mad that I went house hunting without you?” he laughed at you and came closer to hug you. “Yes. This house is almost perfect...” you again searched the yard and tried to find the thing that is missing, but it is fucking perfect. “But it doesn’t have a pool!” you sticked it out at him just to not look a fool for being upset for no reason. “You are crazy!” he laughed, joking, and led you to the back yard through the bushes. There were a beautiful and small pool, and another terrace with a table and some chairs, perfectly to drink coffee in the morning or for a dinner with friends at night. “I’m not crazy, I am just pregnant.” You faced him and paired your hand behind his neck, sticking your head on his chest. “I pray the lord to give me patience if the hysteria of a pregnant woman starts from now. But I still love you so much.” He kissed the top of your head and rubbed your back as the both of you admired the beautiful house.
------- The sun is slowly going down, gently kissing the ground, getting lost behind the tall buildings from the Centre of Madrid as you went to the toilet for the fourth time since you arrived. Your clothes are getting tighter around the waist, and you barely find some loose dress to wear tonight. The subject changed again since you’ve been gone and you just stayed quiet and enjoyed some natural mix of fruits. Dinner with the cast members from Élite is interesting and funny under other circumstances, but this time you are too tired to pay much attention. You've been having trouble lifting your head off the pillow in the morning and dragging your feet all day made you excited to arrive home as soon as possible and crawl into bed. You rested your head on Arón’s shoulder and yawned as you caught Danna smiling at the picture in front of her eyes. You haven’t talked much and definitely haven’t told anyone but your parents about the pregnancy and the engagement. You are undoubtedly wearing the ring Arón gave to you, you are neither trying to hide nor to praise around about it. “It’s hard indeed to move into a new house.” Arón agreed to Jorge on the new subject someone randomly picked. “It’s even harder when are two people.” He rubbed your palm that was resting the handle of your chair with his finger and smiled. You showed him a lazy smile and when the waiter came with your dessert, you reached out after it. “So you finally proposed!” Miguel spoke up, smiling brightly at you glancing at your left hand. That made you froze with your hand clenched on the plate with pancakes. “He did what?” Danna and Ester both jumped from their sits and over the table, the blonde girl reached for your left hand to admire the ring. “Why haven’t you told me? Oh my god, congratulations!” “Congratulations, man!” Omar addressed to your fiancé and came closer for a handshake. Everyone approached to congratulate you and your cheeks were so red, they could be confounded with the cherries from your plate. “Wait, hold your congratulations!” you frowned as Arón reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet. You immediately recognised it was your most recent scan and the only one you have at the moment. At nine weeks. He gets out the printed photo that was safely tucked into one side of the leather casing and lended it farther so that everyone could see it. Álvaro looks at it in awe and mentions something about how tiny all of its features are as Itzan leans over to look too. You instead turn to Arón and see how proud he looks. “She is as big as that green olive from that cocktail.” Arón pointed Mina’s drink. He still has a small smile on his lips and he’s leaning over the table to admire it one more time and to explain everyone what your doctor explained. He looks brighter,his eyes warm.
“You wanted to say <<he>>, he is exactly 2.54 cm now.” You corrected him with Danna’s hand hanging around your neck as she tried to hug you. He leaned over to kiss your forehead before he went back to the conversation, “This time I won’t contradict the pregnant woman.”
i tried to come up with a witty aesthetic title but i can’t
@xanderdewitt @bijerbear
so, yall remember i want to die in swellview? yeah, despite my best efforts i can’t finish it even though i really want to. but i didn’t just want to leave the story unfinished like that. so, here’s everything that was supposed to happen i guess.
parts 1-3:
already established. essentially henry danger 2: it’s dark this time
part 4: 10,000 degrees
we open with minyak and drex in a restaurant discussing these weird new threats, and nobody likes them. just a big bundle of bad news. we also learn drex is completely shameless in his weeaboo tendencies, and was banned from the villain support group. afterwards drex goes home, but gets into a nasty fight with one of the new bad guys (named royal razors) after winning, he gets approached by a shady dude who hates those guys as much as drex does, offering to let him join his organization as a hitman. drex needs money for anime shit so he’s like yeah lets do it
part 5: 122 days
charlotte feels inadequate and like she could never live up to CM and KD, even as scanset this is really bad for her bc she seems to find this way more fun and a better fit than her original life plan. emotional crisis follows
part 6: phantom menace
ray decides the next course of action should be going behind enemy lines. henry’s arm is close to full recovery, so it seems like it’d be good. henry sucessfully infiltrates the royal razors and is partnered up with an elite member who hen instantly recognizes as jasper. henrys like “HELLO??????????” but once the shock wears off he realizes jasper’s actually p cute as a tough guy. minor hensper ensues. ray manages to break up the organization, but not without the leader escaping.
part 7: krewe du vieux
drex gets kicked out of a fancy restaurant for causing a riot for no real reason, ray and henry think he had something to do with the royal razors so they go up to confront him and bring scanset along. things escalate and a fight breaks out. just when the three are about to knock drex tf out, a new challenger approaches..
part 8: WAR TIME ALL THE TIME
this new guy is wild. he comes in and within minutes all 3 heroes are down. he wears a mask of a skull wearing a gas mask and a crown which is dope as fuck, as you can tell. mask guy demands to be drex’s partner in crime and drex says yes.
part 9: coma
ray’s sad now. just becomes hyperaware of all the bullshit that’s happened and starts to think he was a bad influence on the kids. ray starts to plan a suicide and leaves to get jolly beetle tears so it’ll actually work
part 10: long gone
sidney and oliver? in my edgy hd fic? it’s more likely than you think. the two are dicking around in some vr game but suddenly it changes to a vr simulation of downtown swellview and a bunch of the robots from part 3 are destroying the city. thinking it’s just part of the game, sidney and oliver beat the shit out of them until they’re all annihilated and they find out the next day that wasn’t a game, their headsets actually picked up on the robot’s signals and 2 of them fell into their control.
part 11: meet mr NICEGUY
ray is sad 2: electric boogaloo. ray’s walking around downtown swellview to take in everything before his death, and comes across charlotte who was taking a walk to clear her head. they went to go get pizza and talked for a while, and the conversation ends up with them talking about what got them so sad. char helps ray to the best of her abilities and ray does the same. she ends up staying the night at the man cave to make sure ray doesn’t try any shit and ray agrees so char feels less alone.
part 12: carollton
so ray tries to get out of his head by going to a local rave. things go well until those robots come around again. sidney and oliver arrive to ray’s aid (well, their stolen robots do) and they kick ass together. all 3 proceed to turn up since hey, they’re at a rave.
part 13: FUCK the industry
henry and jasper end up famous in swellview’s crime world for being able to take down RR seemingly effortlessly. they desperately try to figure out how to get out of the limelight(?)
part 14: i no longer fear the razor guarding my heel
finale hours babey!!  hen and jasp have figured out where those evil robots are stored and go to try to get rid of them, but are met with mask guy and drex. turns out mask guy lead the royal razors and he’s not very happy. fight ensues, and the kids are losing. henry and jasper are fully convinced that they’re about to die, so they text some friends and family goodbye and just kinda accept it’s the end of the line.
cut to ray, hanging out in a really chill arcade with sidney. ray gets the text and gets the location and RUNS out the door. sidney’s like “ray where are you going!!” so ray tells him henry’s gonna die if he doesn’t go and sidney runs home and gets oliver and follow up with their robots. charlotte had the same thought and got the scanset suit.
the door dramatically slams open to the room drex, mask guy, and the boys are in. ray’s in full captain man mode and much like his 3 companions, he’s pissed. an insane fight follows and hope seems lost, but everyone manages to kick mask guy and drex’s collective ass. sidney and oliver left after the fight, leaving the ot4 together tired, bloody, and bruised, but victorious. everyone pulls into a victory group hug and head to the man cave to get patched up and rested. roll credits.
Anthony’s Stupid Daily Blog (174): Mon 5th Sep 2022
Avoided going on my phone all day at work so I wouldn't have the results from AEW All Out spoiled for me. As soon as I got home I ordered a pizza and flung the pay per view on. Despite all my criticism of AEW (booking and backstage) this was still a stacked card and I was majorly excited to see the main matches which I was sure would deliver. The finals of the Trios tournament pitting The Elite against Hangman Adam Page and the Dark order was really action packed even though the Dark Order's involvement seemed like an afterthought. The highlight of the match was Jon Silver's great roll-through counter to the One Winged Angel. This guy is tremendous and personally although I'm sure the other Dark Order guys are really nice I would get this stable broken up, repackage Alex Reynolds and Preston Vance as a new tag team and give Jon Silver a singles run as I think he could get himself majorly over as a Mickey Whipwreck / Spike Dudley underdog type. I know AEW feels the need to keep Dark Order around mainly out of respect to Brodie Lee but it's just not working anymore. This stable (What's left of it) already feels like a relic of a bygone age and it's only three years old. As good as this match was it fell short of the next match pitting Swerve In Our Glory (Still an awful name) against The Acclaimed for the tag titles. The Acclaimed have gotten themselves massively over in the last two months or so and put on a great performance tonight, more than keeping up with Swerve and Keith Lee. It was evident that the crowd really fucking wanted The Acclaimed to win as they were full on booing Swerve and Lee but sadly they were booked to lose. They can't not be the next champions while I suspect Tony Khan might be reluctant to putting the titles on The Aclaimed because Max Caster is seen as a loose cannon I personally think it's worth the risk (He's certainly more trustworthy than Jeff Hardy). The match between Jungle Boy and Christian Cage turned into an angle rather than a match as Luchasaurus gave JB a nasty chokeslam onto a steel stage leaving Christian to pick up the pieces and win. First off I'm really happy that they've started referring to Jungle Boy as "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry as I think this is a much better moniker. Secondly although I was disappointed we didn't get the match I understand that Tony has realized Christian has mega heat at the moment and is trying to ride the wave which will make the eventual match between him and JB even better so bravo. The House of Black vs Darby / Sting / Miro was a fun brawl and the end with Sting spitting black mist into Black's face was really satisfying. I really hope Tony Khan sorts out the Malakai Black situation because he's so god damn talented and entertaining to watch and I would much prefer him to stay in AEW. The CM Punk / Jon Moxley match was really good with plenty of heat, near-falls, blood and drama. However the real drama didn't start until later that night in the post show media scrum where Punk let loose on Colt Cabana, Adam Page, and The Elite for spreading the rumour that Punk got Cabana fired from AEW. I think the first thing to point out is that no-one got Cabana fired as he still works for AEW and to be brutally honest the company has never really done anything with the guy. The second he arrived they stuck him in The Dark Order and if sticking a bright, loud, comedic character in a dark, villainous stable isn't a sign you have no creative ideas for them then I don’t know what is. I can remember Cabana competing in two matches for AEW: vs Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson and they were spaced incredibly far apart so you can't really say Cabana was having a prosperous run in AEW before Punk showed up. Secondly, from all the reports I've seen about this situation I can't remember seeing one that alleged Punk said to Tony "You either get rid of Cabana or I' not coming", I don't think that's the rumour that's been getting spread for the last few months. I think the accusations were more aimed towards Tony Khan than at Punk, that he realized there coud be tensions between Punk and Cabana so decided to switch Cabana back to ROH so the two wouldn't encounter one another. Whatever the case Hangman Page clearly did feel as though Punk had something to do with Cabana being sent back to ROH as he alluded to it during his standoff with Punk a few months ago. Personally I didn't even catch the "worker's rights" line during his promo or if I did I didn't realize it was a reference to Punk and Cabana. I've got to admit I think I side with Punk on this one. If he felt that Cabana not being on AEW due to Punk was unjust then he should have aimed his comments at Tony Khan not CM Punk. Whoever is to blame it looks like the honeymoon period is certainly over for AEW. The fact that AEW is a fresh alternative to WWE is no longer enough to satisfy certain people in the company. Also Tony Khan clearly wants to be seen as a friend first and a boss second which I get is an attractive quality in a boss but such a mentality can occasionally lead to shit shows like this media scrum. I'm not sure how he's going to go about correcting this shit but hopefully it will all get resolved and at the very least will lead to more eyes on the product.
Reviewing the All Elite Wrestling personnel 2022 Edition (Part 0) -
New to this? Please refer to https://dreadwhoop.tumblr.com/post/664666668755304448/reviewing-the-all-elite-wrestling-personnel-part to recap 2021 or understand what this is all about.
Tumblr media
Well here we are again.
Last year AEW was on the upswing with lots of optimism to what they could do with new talent, established talent, and bring a new era to wrestling. Now? I couldn't recommend AEW to non-fans. Pessimism has proven it's only getting worse before it gets better. Cody leaving, buying ROH, and Adam Page's unprofessional conduct leading to CM Punk's martyrdom only proved me right last year and Tony Khan's control has decided to focus on more wrong aspects than right ones. Now, as we near 2023, the turmoil may be the death knell if AEW doesn't soon course-correct their mistakes. They may not get the chance with the Warner Bros. Discovery merger and possible NBC buyout. Everything I've said before still stands but I do these lists every year in the hope eventually it'll make AEW change for the better this time. Change is needed on all levels from the very top to the very bottom. I hope AEW listens to its fans this year as it's a critical time to decide what matters most - not TV executives, not your roster vying their egos about, nobody but the people who sit in the arena as their audience and buy the product. Let's hope I am able to still do this next year before AEW becomes a salvage vessel for WWE.
---
The one thing AEW needs to change, aside from hiring so much talent at once, is their belt situation. It's too difficult to follow, especially with Interim Champions. Here's how I'd handle this mess:
Tumblr media
For Men's:
* The AEW World Championship is their main title - it is strictly only defended on PPVs. * The AEW TNT Championship is their secondary title - it is the 'workhorse belt' and so main events Dynamite every week. * The AEW Tag Team Championship is their tertiary title - this one gets defended where appropriate - either as an opening contest on Dynamite, Rampage, or part of a PPV.
Tumblr media
* All of the other belts are redundant - absorb the Trios belts into the Tag and have a rule suggesting you can either defend as a Tag or Trios. FTW Belt is retired it has no purpose anymore. * The All-Atlantic, if it MUST stay, is not defended on any AEW show but rather is meant to be a title representing AEW being better than other companies so it is defended against non-AEW talent. Should they beat the AEW champion then, logic dictates, they'd get a contract as an AEW talent. Would be an interesting premise to see it made as a 'Rite of Passage' to become part of AEW but I would just dump this version of the European Championship.
Tumblr media
For Women's:
* The AEW Women's World Championship is their main title - it is strictly only defended on PPVs. * The AEW TBS Championship is their secondary title - it is the 'workhorse belt' and so main events Rampage every week.   * In theory we should get a Tag Team Championship for the women too but there are only a handful of teams viable for this. We'll see.
Tumblr media
Other AEW Accomplishments:
* The Casino Chip can still be its own thing I don't have a problem with it though it does fudge the ranking system by design. If it was the only thing doing this it'd be fine. * The Dynamite Diamond Ring is just an excuse for MJF to have something...it should retire and just be part of MJF's character. * The Owen Hart Cup should be a one-time thing. * Anything not said is not worth returning.
Tumblr media
Every other non-AEW belt (including ROH)
* Retire or absorb into AEW via Champion Vs Champion (for example the ROH Trios Champions face the AEW Trios Champions)
There it's somewhat cleaned up. Still a bit of a mess I know.
Tumblr media
Oh and I'll quickly address this situation. Whatever happens to one should happen to all. EVP status kept? Give Punk EVP status. CM Punk gone? All of them go. You can't play favourites here - if Tony Khan cannot be a leader and hold anyone accountable then he should step down and let someone who can lead a company - guy can't even deal with the stuff between Guevara and Idolo. Hey I heard a veteran wrestling promoter named Vince McMahon is available. Why not hire him? Okay well why not his son Shane I've heard he's popular and likeable. No? Eric Bischoff? I'm just kidding of course nobody wants him to take over AEW and turn it into WCW I mean they're doing a good enough job doing this without him. What about Jim Ross? What about Jim Cornette? Nah they don't want it either. Who said Vince Russo?! Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done!
I'll end on this - AEW needs to listen to its fans. Now.
26 Reasons to love the Bombers right now
Tumblr media
The 11-point loss to the Demons was another gallant performance against a more experienced team. It has sparked discussion around how the Bombers “aren’t quite ready” to mix it with the contenders. And that’s true. Remember: the Bombers were predicted to finish 12th or lower this year. They have surpassed expectations and it looks like their development and connection has been fast-tracked with a collective buy in to the Rutten ethos.
Even though the Bombers are slightly off competing at the pointy end of the year, there’s been so much to like about their season. Here’s 26 things I love about the Bombers right now.
1. Cale Hooker: Before this year, Cale Hooker worked his way back from injury and was a permanent defender. At 31, he looked tired toward the end of last season. Fast forward 12 months and he’s kicked 30 goals - the most out of any Bombers player - and sits 8th in the Coleman Medal race. I love his work in the forward ruck contests where he hacks the ball forward at any cost. It’s produced some great results. He’s true fighter.
2. Consistent Form On The Road: Bombers have gone 2-5 from 7 outings on the road. Apart from the Power loss (54) and Lions (57), the other losses have been tight affairs: Swans by 3, Giants by 2 and Tigers by 39 after the Bombers had led in the early stages of the final quarter. It’s not a perfect record but since round five Essendon have been consistently better. They’ve travelled for half of the season so far with the fifth youngest team and can show they can compete.
3. Dyson Heppell is Back: After only playing 3 games in 2020, many said the Bombers captain was too slow for the midfield and there were question marks over what his role might look like and if he could ever recover back to full health. Heppell answered those questions by playing some inspired football. If you look at the AFL rankings, he’s 45th for disposals, 10th for marks, 17th for intercepts with 90 in total; Steven May has 85. He’s bringing other players like Hind and Laverede into contests and his calm influence is having a big impact. This is the year Bombers fans hoped would happen for Heppell. He’s back.
4. Sam Draper’s Aggression: He has only played 12 games and yet plays the game with such an energy and ferociousness it’s hard not to get excited about what he could look like three years from now. I’m enjoying the little things about Draper’s game: the intelligent knock-ons, the scrappy kicks from congestion, the high-flying contested intercept marks on the wing. Once he figures out his true potential and can start hurting teams at both ends his value will go through the roof.
5. Brownlow Medal Fancies: Darcy Parish and Zach Merrett are having years to remember. The predictor has Parish at 18 votes at 9-1 and Merrett at 13 votes for 26-1. Parish has a real chance of winning Charlie.
6. Darcy Parish’s Year of Growth: Speaking of Parish, he’s the no.1 player in the AFL for centre clearances with 56. His breakout year has resulted in large improvements across the board but his best work has been generating touches at the bounce which has kept Essendon in games much longer. He’s also the best Bomber in the AFL for: goal assists (2nd), contested ball (9th), score involvements (6th) and metres gained (20th).
7. Jayden Laverde: He’s played every game this year (14) which is the most he’s played in a single year - his previous best was 10 in 2019. The transition to the backline has made him a vital cog in defence now. He’s ranked 54th in the AFL for marks; the second best Bombers player. And he’s ranked 30th for interceptions (81) behind Heppell, Hind, Ridley.  Since making the shift to defence he’s doubled his production: 114 disposals in 2019 to 201 touches in 2021; his marking numbers have gone from 43 in 2016 to 84 this year; and he’s had 41 rebounds this year ( 7 was his previous best in 2015).  It’s taken the 60-gamer almost seven years to find a perfectly fitting role and now he looks at home.
8. Great Depth: The injuries haven’t been good but when you think of who has to come back into the team you start to imagine what a full Essendon lineup might look like. Missing: McGrath, Shiel, Caldwell, Snelling, Hurley, Francis. And then think of some of the players that got games last year but are working away in the VFL right now, like Cutler, Gleeson, BZT, Phillips, Cahill, Zaharakis. And then development players are there too: Reid, Bryan, Durham, Hird, Brand, McBride.
9. Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti: He’s arguably the safest set shot in the AFL. In the last three years he’s kicked 80.32; this year 29.12. His goal accuracy of 67.8 percent and his 2.1 goal-average puts him in the elite category.
10. Ranked second in the AFL for goals scored: The Bombers have an average winning margin of 34.5 (5th best in the AFL). They are also ranked third for points scored behind the Bulldogs, Lions and are better than the Demons (4th), Eagles (5th), Power (6th).
11. Closing the Gap: The Bombers average losing margin is 22.9. That has dropped. In 2019 it was at 35.6 and in 2020 it was 30.7. This means we’re seeing the Bombers be more competitive. This year the Demons have an average losing margin of 9 points. Geelong has been the benchmark in recent years with 18, 15 and 12 point average losing margins since 2018.
12. Jordan Ridley: The 22-year-old has only played 39 games and already owns a best and fairest award. His play-making, intercepts (ranked 27th in the AFL), and efficiency has made him Essendon’s no.1 defender now. This year he’s ranked 7th in the AFL for rebounds (90), the best of the Bombers. He just does a lot of things right - from body positioning, reading the play, and decision-making - which has been so good to watch.
13. Nick Hind is Better than Saad:  This has been a talking point all year. It’s time to lay it all out. Out of 11 categories, Hind is more dominant in eight of them. Here they are:
Tackles +5
Inside 50s +5
Goal assists +4
Contested Ball +17
Uncontested +57
Efficiency +1 %
Score Involvements +6
Saad is +1 for rebounds, +23 for bounces, and +18 for metres gained (on average). But Hind looks to be a much more complete player with room to grow. Both players are the same age - 26 - but Hind has only played 35 games; Saad has 123 games behind him.  It’s been an impressive year by Hind at his new club and I think what he’s done is even more remarkable considering it’s only his third year in the AFL system.
14. The Bombers’ Form Looks Real: Watching them play they have more purpose, more system in their game. They’re no longer the indecisive team that gets strangled under pressure. It’s all about executing and when they do it, it works. They still have gaps. They still turn the ball over. But they’re finally playing a brand of football that is more even and fluid than 12 months ago. Had a few more results fallen their way they could have been a top six team this year.
15. Highest score this year is 143: That score was against St.Kilda in April and is ranked second highest in the AFL behind the more advanced Bulldogs’ 167. It’s better than the Cats’ 136 and Tigers’ 134. They also scored 141 against the rebuilding Roos.
16. Last Quarters Won: The ability to finish off games has been one of the Bombers’ strengths. They’ve won 9 last quarters out of 14 which is the best in the AFL. They share that with the Bulldogs, Lions, Crows. The Bombers have also won 8-of-14 first quarters (ranked sixth best), but need to improve on second and third quarters: they’ve won 9 out of 28 collectively (five and four respectively).
17. Ben Rutten: I think the best trait Rutten has is his communication. Whatever is happening behind closed doors is working because the players have responded on the field. They have responded by signing contracts. They have responded by saying the culture is tight. There’s been player improvement from last year’s fringe guys - Redman, Laverde, Stewart, Snelling, Ham. The Hooker move worked. The game plan is something to finally get behind. He’s surprised a lot of people but also confirmed he’s the man for the job: to take Essendon to their next flag.
18. Rising Stars: Nik Cox and Harrison Jones both got nominations. It was Cox who started the year consistently with great endurance and skills on both sides of the feet. Now we’re seeing Jones’ contested marking come to the surface and his work rate: running 14-15 kilometres per game. Jones has 18 goals and 52 marks. Cox has 8 goals, 59 marks. There’s no ceiling for either player. Their evolution will be exciting to watch.
19. Merrett’s 2021 is the Best Merrett Yet: He’s had a very consistent career but if he keeps going at the pace he’s at now, he’ll return his best year of production. He needs 219 disposals in nine games to eclipse 659 in a year which is his previous best. He’s ranked 4th in the AFL for disposals per game (31.50), 20th for tackles (69), and he’s had 95 score involvements (second behind Parish at Essendon). Six more years of the Merrett way.
20. Tackle Count: Bombers are ranked 4th for tackles in the AFL with 61.4 per game. To compare: In 2020 the Bombers were ranked 11th averaging 49.5 per game. This has been a big part of the elevation in intensity and pressure. When it’s all humming, man, it looks good.
21. Jake Stringer’s Trajectory:  Stringer’s range has no ceiling. Whether he’s a midfield bull, clearance king, goal-scorer, game-changer, x-factor, and more recently “Dusty-like”. He’s surging. Forget the fat-shaming of 2020, he’s taking his game to new levels. With a bit of luck he stays healthy and stays consistent.
22. Debutants: The trio of Reid, Waterman and Perkins have shown flashes of their potential. Reid has only played the one game but his 202-cm frame will make him one of Essendon’s key defenders of the future. Perkins has had 57 score involvements and 110 uncontested touches. His poise with the ball is ahead of his time. And Waterman has kicked nine goals in seven games and looks like a good fit in the forward line. He brings tenacity and a raking, deadly, left-foot. His AFL journey still gives me goosebumps.
23. That Eagles 16-point Win: It was dubbed a “coming of age” win for the fact the Bombers beat the Eagles - a finals team - in Perth with a young team. They were down by 29 and kicked 7.8 to 2.5 in the second half. Once they start beating contending teams, they’ll look back at this game and say that’s when it all started to sink in that their best was better than the best.
24. The Critics Have Turned: Remember this headline? “Essendon star Zach Merrett a casualty of leadership mess”. The Bombers’ 2020 season was called a “death spiral” and “Tipungwuti is a marvellous player in hopeless surrounds”. What about this one:  “Saad decisions spells disaster for Essendon.” Those doomsday headlines have now been replaced with “fiesty” Bombers, “Rising” and “Brave”.
25. Will Snelling: He’s recovering from a thumb injury but has taken a leap this year with his pressure role. He’s kicked 10 goals, has 18 tackles inside 50 (second best at Essendon), 9 goal assists and 52 tackles. He’s played 33 games since 2016 when his career looked uncertain and now he’s an important cog for Essendon.
26. Peter Wright: He’s had to pinch-hit in the ruck while Draper was injured and collected 139 hitouts - the most at Essendon. He’s been a solid contested mark option with 18 and has 15 marks inside 50. His 11 goals puts him behind Hooker, Walla, Stringer and Jones and makes him a very versatile tall that will continue to develop.
Tumblr media
Hello! This your ray of sunshine Sunny, DalDal's mun, back with a whole new character - and very different from Dallie. Meet my new muse Bae Dahye, a 153 cm 29 years old and also a fairy  ELITE manager. I’m still working on her blog but if you leave a like here, I’ll reach you so we can talk about something ^-^
Under the cut there are a few facts and important things about her background and personality!
- Her family has always been controlling over her life: her father wanted her brother to study abroad and be a business man but wanted for Dahye to marry a guy of his preference, have two kids and become a housewife. But she wanted more. She wanted the chaotic life in Seoul, she didn't want to marry the business man: she wanted to BE the business man.
- This was made possible when she won a scholarship at Yonsei in the Marketing Major.
-And while her brother went to study in USA,when Dahye had told her parents about her plans in Seoul, they had practically kicked her out. Said if she wanted to leave so badly, then she shouldn’t bother coming back. Dahye wasn’t sure if that was supposed to have been some plan to make her stay out of fear, but it had only been her motivation. She would prove them wrong one day.
-  It all started going downhill when, by a matter of chance, she ended up in a bad group for a project in the university and got a D, losing her scholarship. She couldn’t go back to her parents and she didn't have a job - yet, she had tons of bills to pay.
- And as if destiny was playing with her again, she was offered a internship at WorldWide Media. At first she thought she was going to work with the marketing department...only to become a personal assistant of a demon. The actor was a cocky C-list with more rumors on her back then a Hollywood Star. She had to stay up all night in order to write good things about him under thousands of different alias on the internet, and the introverted girl had to become a extroverted and starting making connections just to get her actor out of trouble.But her efforts were recognized by the CEO, that didn't even think twice when her internship ended and made her a proper employee under the company.
- For a few years after her graduation, Dahye made a few works here and there as an assistant for their models and actors, but was mostly known as the ‘errand girl’ that often had to take care of the CEO daughters. Ideal job? Nope. But the payment was really good and she liked the girls.
- Until ELITE manager suffered an accident and they were in need of someone - and fast. The CEO knew that managing a new boy group was a challenge and recalled that Dahye made their most problematic actor transform into an A-list actor that had a impeccable reputation and was loved by many. She, under the circumstances, was their best shot.
- Did she liked the idea of becoming a manager of a bunch of kids, whose hormones were leaking trough their pores and probably had a galaxy of crazy fangirls that would probably slap her if she was near them? Not so much. Still, a job is a job and she accepted the challenge.
- It may sound that she is a bit harsh with the idols she’s with, but they have no idea that when they’re sleeping, she is doing damage control, writing and calling news sites to take down rumors and hacking into haters social networks and deleting their accounts or suing them. She is harsh but only because she believes that if she’s doing so much for them, they should do at least the minimum for her - which is stay out of trouble so she can at least sleep trough and entire night.
PERSONALITY:
- While excellent at her job, Dahye verbal skills are lacking, and therefore causes her the occasional hardship. She can make calls, schedule appointments, and run errands like nobody else. But talking face-to-face with someone seemed to be a challenge most of the time.
- The scared mouse of WorldWide Media and a joke between the other staff members, she learned how to go outside her shell in the hard way, or else they would literally eat her there. She had to show everyone that Bae Dahye isn't someone to be messed with.
- Dahye has the ability to recognize and improve upon things she senses within herself that might be causing problems for her. She understands that she keeps things to herself too often and that this habit alienates her from the people she cares
- her motto is "never let somebody else do your job for you." Which isn't a very nice thing because she always end up overworking herself, leading to many failures.
- Those failures make her burst in anger and no, she'll never recognize that she is the wrong one. For Dahye, the world is against her and it's all a giant plot for her to fail.
FUN FACTS:
- She is a shopaholic. And because she buys too much, she is always in debt with the bank. But she hates accepting help from anyone so sometimes if she skips the coffee, that’s because she doesn’t have any money.
- Used to be a chubby girl until her work forced her to slim down (because she stopped eating due to stress and tiredness). Still has some body issues and if someone compliments her, the first thing she thinks is if they’re either mocking her or being honest. She always concludes that they’re mocking her.
- Was in the cheerleader squad during college. That doesn’t mean she knows how to dance though.
-  Family support is a joke and if you want something so badly, you can do it without any support.
- Received a lot of nicknames in WWM: Tinyzilla, tinyrannosaurus rex, chibi of anger, angry Pomeranian, etc. She hates all of them.
- And she hates being called short or shortie. She’ll grow up! Someday
into the new world - girls' generation
OOC INFO
NAME/ALIAS, PRONOUNS, TIMEZONE: EJ, female, est
RESERVATION: pristin
MEMBER PROFILE
FACECLAIM: kim mingyu (seventeen)
NAME/STAGENAME: lee taehyun
BIRTHDATE/AGE: april 6, 1994 / age 22
COMPANY/POSITION: leader, main rapper, lead dancer of 360°Z
HEIGHT/WEIGHT: 185 cm/68 kg
TRAINING PERIOD/JOINING YEAR: training period: 3 years
INTERESTING FACTS: His fans adore him for his “tsundere” character. Having attended an elite boarding school in the States where he studied Mandarin for 6 years, Taehyun is highly skilled in English and Chinese. He’s also a skilled basketball player. He knows how to play piano and guitar, and although these skills are rarely used in performance, he finds them useful in composing.
STRENGTHS/WEAKNESSES:
(+) RAP&DANCE – taehyun’s capacity as a rapper and dancer certainly satisfies and mostly exceeds industry standards and beyond. having first developed both skills as self-taught endeavors, his flow, style, rhythm, and choreography are individually unique and distinctly natural. although his deep register and long, lean frame were birth-given virtues, the intensive training he underwent through his time at galaxy has refined and polished his skills in these areas.
(+) COMPOSITION – besides writing his own lyrics, taehyun has produced many of his own beats, mixtapes, and songs throughout his musical career. from being a teenager pursuing a hobby, an underground artist vying for recognition, and a galaxy trainee striving to stand out, he now regularly contributes to his group’s releases to whatever extent he may. in fact, composition and producing are areas in which he seeks to improve his skills the most, especially as his career progresses.
(+) PROFESSIONALISM – despite having debuted not too long ago, taehyun is exceptionally professional, a great advantage for someone in the entertainment industry. he’s very good at maintaining a positive public image, as he regularly monitors and keenly perceives what fans, the media, and the public want from him. furthermore, he has a knack for picking up social cues and reading people, seemingly always knowing the right thing to do and say at any given time – useful for interviews, variety shows, and extricating himself from tricky situations. though he denies it, he is a bit of a perfectionist and will do a quality job with whatever is assigned to him.
 (–) VOCALS – singing has never been his standout talent, and he acknowledges it. sure, he can do the rapper-singing thing (e.g. drake), but that’s about it. he’ll gladly leave the singing to the vocals.
(–) COLD REALIST – simply put, lee taehyun is a perfect example of a boy who grew up too fast. perhaps you can blame his past, but he’s a cynic and harsh realist. some have labelled his insensitivity to others’ emotions as a symptom of some sort of psychopath, but trust me, he knows and understands very well how you’re feeling. he just doesn’t see why he should cater his behavior to your emotions and whims. there won’t be any “dreams come true!” or “I want to inspire people through my music!” cheese coming out of this mouth. he didn’t cry a single tear after his debut showcase, and although it’s been less than a year, he’s already over the rookie’s honeymoon phase of his career. he’s not heartless or mean – just a hard, cold realist. the world’s not all fluff and kittens, so should he pretend that it is?
(–) EGO-DRIVEN – though he doesn’t quite own up to it yet, lee taehyun is a creature of his ego. by nature, he’s not a bragger or show-off (probably because he’s self-confident anyways), but he does secretly enjoy when his ego is fed. he keeps it to himself, but he does have a habit of judging people against his own standards. at worst, he can be rather stubborn, overly competitive, and reckless in pursuit of something if it catches his attention. in his defense, he’s been rather successful with anything he’s wanted thus far, at least to what meets the eye. and for the demons he does truly struggle against, he shoves them under his ego to be dealt with later. after all, right now he’s young, talented, attractive, leader of one of the most popular groups in the industry, with thousands of fangirls screaming his name. he’s unbound and unobligated, and the future only promises further treasures – or at least so it seems.
  BIO/PERSONALITY:
Born in April 6th of 1994, Lee Taehyun grew up in a family that owned one of Korea’s most prominent conglomerate corporations. As expected, his early childhood was without a visible care in the world, golden spoon in hand, reporters and cameras shoved in his face. Designer clothes, top chefs, expensive private tutors, and trips around the globe – yet it wasn’t until age 12 that he learned who he truly was, what he truly was. Summoned to his father’s office one evening, he left as Lee Taehyun, of course the son of CEO Lee Hyunbae, but not of his wife. A bastard son, born to a woman he’d never met or seen, raised with siblings from another womb. It all made sense now, how different his “mother’s” gaze towards him was so starkly contrasting, depending on whether his father was in the room. After all, there he was – a living, breathing, talking reminder of her husband’s infidelity. But perhaps most importantly, there he was – a gigantic threat to the value of the family company stock.
Within the next month, he was shipped off to an elite boarding school in the States for the purposes of receiving an “elite education,” but it was clear to him that he was being shoved away for hiding across the ocean, away from nosy newspaper reporters and competitors who wished to see his father’s company stock falter. The moment he learned what his identity truly was, he was removed from his entire life as he knew it. However, he was compliant throughout middle and high school. Lee Taehyun became that one guy whom everyone envied but couldn’t bring themselves to hate – low effort, high grades, star athlete, had his fair share of adolescent “fun”, but never got caught. He was a real typical golden boy, but behind the scenes, he struggled with his own demons and fumbled with the mysteries he never had the chance to answer. He found solace in music (particularly hip-hop and rap) and dance, and increasingly so, he found himself in the school’s recording and studios, up late at night writing lyrics by the moonlight. Upon graduating from high school, he was shocked to be immediately pulled back to Korea to enroll in college, since his older half-brother was proving himself rather incapable of becoming heir. Again, his father whispered him false promises, that a Korean college degree would mean better “business connections.” But this time, Lee Taehyun wanted none of it. If his father, his family, or anyone at all thought they could push him away and call him as they wanted, they were in for an unpleasant surprise.
Reluctantly so, he enrolled in college, but his true energy was spent in Seoul’s underground hip-hop scene, as he started making ripples in the rap game and joined a dance crew. About a year in, he was casted by Galaxy Entertainment, though he had never had the slightest interest in an entertainment career, yet alone an idol career. He stuffed the scout’s business card away in his pile of books, but as the pressure for him to keep up his grades and intern in the office grew stronger, the more and more appealing the offer became. After all, the trainee contract provided him a place to stay, allowance for food, and the opportunity to deliver a vicious slap in the face of his father. He called in for an audition as a sign of rebellion and signed the contract as a declaration of secession. The day he moved into the trainee dorms was the last day he’d spoken to a family member to this very day.
Trainee life for him was strange to say the least. He’d grown up mostly emotionally alone and was accustomed to making unilateral decisions, not around dozens of other trainees whose desperation and stress he found draining. He hadn’t lived in Korea for the past 9 years, and he didn’t dare to tell anyone about his familial background. Furthermore, he was a rather intimidating character at first impression – towering height, tanned complexion, deep voice, sharp features. He was far from the super friendly, talkative, or welcoming type. He hated sucking up, hated the whole hierarchy of “seniors” and “juniors” – in his world, skill and ability were the only measures of status. Yet by some lucky strike, he managed to find some friends and colleagues amidst the crowds of peers he found mostly mundane and plain. Most importantly, it turned out that he was rather good at what an idol needed to do – rapping, dancing, composing. And most of all, surviving. After three years, the debut came, and although he couldn’t quite consider it a dream come true, it was a promising start.
---
Taehyun is generally cool, but not necessarily cold. His mannerisms are suave and charming, smooth talker and sharp tongue. He’s not your typical ray of sunshine, but knows when to smile and how to do it convincingly – but don’t expect much cuteness from him whatsoever. Off-camera, he’s reportedly not the most easily approachable. It’s not like he’s hostile or socially awkward by any means, but people often say he seems mature or serious for his age, and his towering height and dark eyes don’t help his cause. However, initiate interaction and he’s talented at holding a conversation, a little blunt, a little teasing, likes to keep people guessing of his true intentions. His closest friends get to see the more free-spirited, romantic side of him, but this is very rare. He’s slow to trust others, but gain his trust, and he’ll pay back with a strong sense of loyalty and justice. He’s not too outwardly friendly or warm, but still seems to know a lot of faces within the industry. He prefers to keep his public and private life separate, and it is generally hard to read beyond his placid façade.
Within his group, his general mantra as a leader is “you do you,” but the moment any of his members do anything to jeopardize the group’s success or test his patience, he’ll serve justice where it is due. He’s definitely not the warm and caring type of leader upfront, and when he takes care of others, it’s generally more subtle and behind the scenes. Admittedly, he can get a little hot-headed and cutthroat in rehearsal or training – he believes in “work hard, play hard.” Occasionally, he can be coldhearted and demoralizing, but only he’s allowed to do that to his members. He won’t tolerate anyone else disrespecting his group.
Regarding trainees, he’s probably indifferent. Chances are, he has no idea who you are – he doesn’t really strive to be a role model or a popular, caring senior. He generally won’t treat you any differently for being a trainee, and for god sake, he doesn’t want you to suck up to him, though he won’t tolerate disrespect. He has no specific expectations, but if you’re sincere, hard-working, and talented, then he’ll probably treat you well enough.
The music industry has its fair share of cliches
You just feel like you are right at home. You feel like although it has been a couple of decades since we actually player together, a couple of decades plus some. Owner Gary Chung has a yoga education and has worked as a model for years. This allows Model Factory to provide the right guidance in the area of personal development and in matters such as external care and attitude towards clients. By applying targeted coaching, models are easier to maintain in a world where sometimes it can all go very fast and it can be a challenge to stay with yourself.
Work as a model both nationally and internationally
The model world constantly needs new faces. If you have a dream of becoming a model, your time can be inside! Modelfactory is looking for new people with an endeavor to work for the big fashion stores both nationally and internationally.
Both girls and boys
If you are a girl between 14 and 25 minimum 170 cm long or guy between 17 and 30 minimum 180 cm long, you can today apply for the Model agency by submitting a picture of yourself and include information about your age, length and your contact details.
In recent years, Gary Chung has seen a progressive increase in the length of the model career and explains that the age is still relatively low when starting but that the youngest only do youth-adapting jobs where they learn about the industry and how to handle it. In this way, the model comes in smoother in the industry and learns to stand in front of the camera, work with photographers and customers.
Do you have what it takes?
The competition in the model loop is high and today the importance of promoting itself is greater than before by, for example, being seen in today's media society - in the right way, at the right times and in the right place.
