So in the same way I gifted my good friend LG Shala with a cover to his fanfiction for Christmas, I gifted my good friend @waystobuild-blog with a Lyokosona-edit of Dr. Franz Hopper!

Ways does this awesome series where he translates the cast of Code Lyoko into the Persona style (specifically P3 Reload, I believe) by editing and mixing elements of its character renders together. I enjoyed the series so much, and actually got to help him in the past with his edit of Jeremie, so I was happy to make him this as a surprise.

This was a lot of fun to make, same as the cover to A Trip to Remember.

I decided to post 2 art WIPs that I'll probably never finish (they are about 6-7 old and I don't even do digital art anymore) and I think it's funny how these 2 arts are a representation of my 2 types of fandom works in a nutshell

1) any happy type of fix-it (everybody lives nobody dies, that sort of stuff)

2) angsty and sad. prepare to get emotionally wrecked

This "there are 2 wolves fighting inside of me" usually happens with fanfiction but like. Whould you pick "Anthea was never kidnaped and Hopper's family lives all together on Lyoko" or "Aelita is absolutely depressed after the death of her father"? Because I have options

So I lied, I had one more of these left. It's not a sequel AU design like the others for obvious reasons, but I always felt like it would be necessary to give Hopper a Lyoko form at some point. I am not counting his glowing hypersphere design, although I do think that he may have been able to turn into that non-corporeal orb as one of his powers.

SmashGenesis: Watching this episode as an adult, it really strikes me what a loving father Jérémie has. Kid asked his father to drive a whole day to come get him out of the blue, then told him, "Nah, I'm good, actually." Mr. Belpois is probably just happy that his son has finally made some friends, but that's still gotta be a TON of gas money down the drain. On to the episode, and expect the rest of the season soon! It's all translated and edited; as soon as Victor has the video files for us, we'll post them!

When I first watched the series finale of Code Lyoko, it had me super emotional ngl.

Spoiler warning below!!

Jeremy was my favorite character in this show. I can't believe they killed him off. Aelita wins her father back but all for the price of her (boy)friend. It was so tragic and no character death has gotten me crying more than Jeremy's has. He finally had the courage to go on Lyoko to save Aelita's father by scanning and setting himself up to transmit his energy to kill XANA and save Franz Hopper, how sweet-😭 (it pisses me off though they still had the audacity to not show his avatar during his heroic sacrifice scene, like c'mon-)

Franz Hopper's quote in the picture sums up that whole moment best. The moment Franz came out of the scanners buff because of Jeremy's power and hope for Hopper to be alive is such a beautiful message to never give up hope for the ones you love in tough situations because they make them and you stronger, but something will be lost throughout the journey.
