I decided to post 2 art WIPs that I'll probably never finish (they are about 6-7 old and I don't even do digital art anymore) and I think it's funny how these 2 arts are a representation of my 2 types of fandom works in a nutshell

1) any happy type of fix-it (everybody lives nobody dies, that sort of stuff)

2) angsty and sad. prepare to get emotionally wrecked

This "there are 2 wolves fighting inside of me" usually happens with fanfiction but like. Whould you pick "Anthea was never kidnaped and Hopper's family lives all together on Lyoko" or "Aelita is absolutely depressed after the death of her father"? Because I have options

When I first watched the series finale of Code Lyoko, it had me super emotional ngl.

Spoiler warning below!!

Jeremy was my favorite character in this show. I can't believe they killed him off. Aelita wins her father back but all for the price of her (boy)friend. It was so tragic and no character death has gotten me crying more than Jeremy's has. He finally had the courage to go on Lyoko to save Aelita's father by scanning and setting himself up to transmit his energy to kill XANA and save Franz Hopper, how sweet-😭 (it pisses me off though they still had the audacity to not show his avatar during his heroic sacrifice scene, like c'mon-)

Franz Hopper's quote in the picture sums up that whole moment best. The moment Franz came out of the scanners buff because of Jeremy's power and hope for Hopper to be alive is such a beautiful message to never give up hope for the ones you love in tough situations because they make them and you stronger, but something will be lost throughout the journey.

Codejuly23 Day #01: Hero

This is part of a short story I started writing in 2020 and... it's still not done yet.

The gang celebrates a funeral in memorial of Aelita's father. I thought it could be a nice idea to dedicate the first day of the challenge to Waldo Schaeffer.

Aquel día de bochorno asfixiante en la ciudad de Lucerna, de vestido blanco y vaporoso, de helado de fresa y banco a la sombra. Aquel miércoles extraño y pesado le conocí. 

La única persona que había con la chaqueta puesta y un vaso humeante en la mano. Pensé que era demasiado extraño, demasiado excéntrico e, incluso, que no estaba bien de la cabeza. Allí plantado en la orilla del lago, bajo un sol de justicia, con sus gafas oscuras y la barba cubriéndole media cara. Hi, I know you all might know me as a huge fan of Code Lyoko who hasn't shown my face much or used my voice on social medias but I am working on an indie-animation project called Shamalotts and the creator of the series and I do twitch streams sometimes. This indie series is unrelated to Code Lyoko and has no affiliation with MoonScoop or its creators, however, since I'm a fan of code lyoko I accidentally ended up talking to the creator about Code Lyoko lore. I was showing Zanamii, who I was streaming with at the time, an old project about Code Lyoko that I made for an infographics class. She was highly encouraging me to post it to my socials. I was curious to know if anyone in the Code Lyoko fandom would be interested in seeing this infographic go public too?

The infographic includes hand-drawn illustrations of every Code Lyoko character (except Jeremy I think. I don't remember including him in the project, but I do acknowledge that he's a vital part of the show. I don't remember if William is included either now that I am writing this too) and maps of Lyoko, many MANY charts of how many mobs in Lyoko that Yumi, Odd, Ulrich, and Aelita have killed, information about their costume changes, and synopses of the main episodes I believed were vital to Code Lyoko's plot outline.

If anyone is interested in seeing me post these infographic sets of Code Lyoko on my tumblr, please let me know whether it be in the comments of this post, messages, or reblogs. I would love to know what everyone's opinions are about it. Also, whoever created the original Code Lyoko GUNSHIP font, please let me know how I can also tag you in this post and future posts if I were to make them public. In terms of genre I gravitate to fantasy mainly, if I'm very pissed I can whip out some horror fantasy, but majority of the times it's more of cozy fantasy bordering on magical realism, and I've done slice-of-life settings as well as satire and a bit of sci-fi

My poems tend to be more romantic but that's not my main alley

Currently trying to write a lot more gay stuff because bi-

I also write about what I observe from news outlets and videos from Palestine and I write Pro-Palestinian poems as a form of advocacy, while also shining the light once in a while on others who are suffering like Lebanon and Ukraine and Sudan etc

I also have a few poems that express struggles and everyday life of mentally ill people whether we know it or not as a form of raising awareness as well

And yes of course I will write fanpoetry here (cough Agathario-)

-- AND THE ENTIRE WORD HAS ENDED. OR, YOUR WORLD. everything rushes by, scurrying, hurrying. And the woman-- ANTHEA HOPPER, néé SCHAEFFER, sat on the bench, watching. Children playing, other mothers watching.

It hurt. To call herself a mother still. But, no. No. Her child is certainly alive and hopefully happy, far away as she is. Anthea is still a mother. And her world will stay together, even if it's in her own wire-tainted twitching stubborn grasp.

Less human than before. A doctor turned test subject. No. A more conscience description: a researcher turned mother turned hostage, escaped and recaptured. Escaped again. For however long this stint lasts.

Her own research ebbing away within. The house, her husband's old Hermatige in the forest-- blessedly, masterfully, her own tech is compatible. Her mechanical safe haven. She's painted one room pink, for the day her daughter returns. When the shadows have stopped chasing them both. The other, she keeps her husband's side of the bed neat. Willing away the hours on snowy days by trying to tune his old piano. Dredging through the life Aelita and Franz had. Trying to find where they were hidden. How to safely contact them.

Her world has fallen apart but, there is that goal she clings to with her recreated hands and pleads for with the soft whirring beneath her false skin.
