I first heard/read the phrase bucket over boots (Star Wars-ified version of 'head over heels') from @cacodaemonia 's wonderful fic, Tensile Strength, and it fits perfectly here. Hahah but maybe it's more of 'boots over bucket' XD

Cohawk Week @cohawk-canoe Day 4 - AU ↳ Wings!AU

"Come on, Wooley. Figured you'd be able to keep up."

"To be frank, Commander, some of us aren't exerting as much energy as others."

There was only going to be one AU post, but my brain got ideas and sometimes you just gotta follow through (plus I wanted to draw more Cohawk). Fun fact: in the original sketch, the positions of the characters were swapped and you could see Cody's bare butt.

Cohawk Week 2025 Daily Themes

Each day of Cohawk Week will have a theme. Under that theme will be some examples of things you might use as prompts to create for the event. You are free to use anything from the examples, but you are not required to. They are just meant to provide possible ideas. 

There will also be one set of three words listed for each theme that you can use if you like and a set of 10 pictures (total) to use as image prompts with any of the themes.

Day One (Sunday 9/28)

Theme: Firsts

Examples: date, kiss, job, time having sex, going into battle as a couple

Examples: members of another unit (501st, Corries, etc), vampires, soul mates, mermaids

He's on the unofficial feeding rotation for today, anyway; was cleared for it just yesterday. Longshot vouches he's over the initial instinct surge." Cody tries to multitask and lands himself in the medbay, Wooley gets more than he bargained for and CMO Blanket has had quite enough.

Wooley hugged himself tight as he looked over the skyline of Coruscant at night. The breeze was cool, and he was mesmerized by the city lights that glowed and shimmered in the dark. They reminded him of stars. 

What was more mesmerizing was the man who had joined him, pressed himself to his back, and Wooley sighed contentedly when he realized that Cody’s was shirtless. 

“It’s beautiful,” Wooley commented with a smitten smile. 

“You are,” Cody agreed readily, and it earned him a snort of laughter. 

“Next thing I know you’re going to start calling me...what is it that General Kenobi calls General Skywalker? Dearest?”

“Dear one,” Cody corrected as he shook with suppressed laughter, “and no, I know better than to give you pet names.” 

Having said that, Wooley sucked in a sharp breath as Cody nipped at his neck, no doubt sucking a sweet little mark to the surface. He low groan fell from his lips as he leaned heavily against his Commander and lover. 

“Keep that up and you can call me whatever you want.”

Thanks for the tag, @chocmarss! This is a new tag game I haven't done before :)

Let's see, I have... lolcry, thirteeen fics that are finished aside from editing that I haven't felt like doing, so here are the most recent ten:

Waxer gives up on sleep after the third time a clang of metal or a shouting voice jolts him awake.

With a breathless laugh, Waxer drags Boil into one of the maintenance sheds scattered around the perimeter of the Game Forest.

Dust is thick in the air after the last skirmish, but casualties were low thanks to a squad of ARF Troopers who snuck around behind the clankers.

Beside Waxer, Boil stops. "Did you hear that?" he whispers.

"This is nice," Waxer says. His voice is soft in the quiet evening air, but it still carries over the gentle strum of his fingers on the hallikset.

Moving quietly with his squad as they head for the coordinates supplied by General Krell, Boil glances to his two o'clock, where Waxer is creeping along with another group of brothers.

"Nu-nu," Waxer says, touching her shoulder. "Have you seen Bo?"

The ship's comm crackles as the spaceport worker on the other end says, "G9 Rigger-class light freighter... Happabore, there are currently fifteen vehicles ahead of you in the queue. Please continue to stand by."

"Hate this...  stupid planet," Boil slurs, leaning heavily on Waxer.

Boil has lived in the Jixuan Desert long enough to recognize the signs of an approaching rainstorm.

Eep, I really need to work on something for Cohawk Week! Also, I think people in the Waxer*Boil server will recognize all but one of these 😂

A Brief List of Things My Brain Wanted to Consider Instead of Sleep Last Night

How do you transplant lilacs? Better google that one now at 3am or the suckers you haven't even dug yet might die. Penny said that Dawn dish soap is the thing to use on Tunie's leg, but I wonder if Head and Shoulders might be better? I cannot believe that we are letting white Afrikaners through the front door while kicking out graduate students through the back. Fucking Musk. Ugh the dog needs to move. And HOW can hubs be peacefully sleeping over there when the latch on the mailbox is broken?

Why is it called autism? And should I ask [therapist] about why some people attract stalkers and others do not? What's that all about? Am I hungry or just incandescent with rage about how we managed to slip into fascism without caring? Only 4 more years. Right? RIGHT? He's going to leave office, RIGHT? Jesus motherfucking Christ on Toast.

Nope, still mad. Do lilacs come in other colors besides white and purples? God damnit hound, MOVE OVER. Do you think it's reasonable to expect the Cohawk Week collection to break 100 this year? I should add some prompts to that challenge going around for cloneshipping.

Fan binding of In the Pink (The One With the Red Shirt)

This fic is a delight and at 585 words it's a little too short for the usual formating.

The finished book is in the A8 format, measuring 5,4 x 7,2 cm.

I chose a marbled paper full of blues and swirling pinks to match Cody's misadventures in washing.

Cohawk Week @cohawk-canoe Day 1 - Pick a trope, any trope. ↳ Secret Relationship

What they had was new, nameless; a small bud slowly growing upon a young branch. They wouldn't share it openly - not yet. They'd hide away in Cody's personal quarters, share quick glances, or sneak away into storage closets for the aching need to be intimately close to the other. Wooley - to the surprise of Cody - would be the first to touch him in more open, public places. They were still small, still hidden, but it was a big step forward for the both of them.
