During the Europesim summit, Napoleon V tried to create a dialogue between the leaders of the Empire of Pierreland (Emperor David) and the Union of Iona (Queen Viviana II). This initiative proved to be of little avail.

(Eloise) Vous considérez que votre petit-fils est une affaire d'état ? Comme ces deux-là qui ne sont pas vos fils ? Pardon ?!

(David) Ils sont mes fils. Felipe par le sang et Edmund par la loi. Et oui, mon petit-fils est devenu une affaire d'État ! Le père n'a pas été informé du fait que vous soyez enceinte ! (Eloise) Comme s'il ne savait pas compter jusqu'à 9...

Katalina: I do not see how you find this difficult David. She is well within her rights to ask and it is not our decision- David: It is our decision. He is not ready. His current decisions have been immature and led to this! Katalina: YOU pushed for this David. You suggested that our son, your heir, become involved with someone who was then an heiress presumptive and who is now Queen! The right thing to do is to let Louis know of his- David: It is a scandal that we cannot deal with! The press will eat him alive and the reputation of the Crown in the future shall be tarnished Katalina: Reputation, reputation. That is all you speak of lately! Your decision shall ruin your reputation. If I recall, you also had a child out of wedlock! David: That is different. Felipe's circumstances were very very different. Katalina: Were they?

David:I was older. I was ready to settle down! Louis is young, he has not lived! Katalina: I do not see the difference. All I see is a mother who wants her son to know his father and yet you are ready to let our son miss out on his son's life. Our biological grandson's life?

Katalina: You called them to back you up? David...this is not their place. David: I believe it is! They are to be my councilors of state and THIS is a crisis of state! Katalina: It would not be a crisis if you did what was right! Right by all parties involved! Edmund: What is going on? What crisis? David: sit down boys

Felipe: What is going on? Are we going to war? David: no no no...we are not going to war...it is a bit more of a...private crisis. [sighing] The son of Queen Viviana's is your younger brother Louis's...

Katalina: And your father wants to not tell Louis, not acknowledge his own grandson and essentially hide this until the end of time! Edmund: Papa! That baby is an innocent! Louis-

David: Is too young and too immature. Edmund, you are a father now...at 18 would you be able to handle your boys? Edmund: I would've stepped up and tried! Felipe: Louis is not ready for this Eddie...even we waited to have our own children...I agree with Papa on this...what Louis doesn't know won't hurt him

Edmund: but this will hurt the child! Papa, Felipe, you forget there is a baby in the middle of all of this! Katalina: Thank you Edmund! This baby is our family. David are you saying we abandon our family!

David: Katalina! This is bigger than our family! Succession laws, parental rights, religion. This involves two kingdoms who share a potential heir! Katalina: That did not stop you with Felipe David, and you know it! David: I was also about to enter an arranged marriage! Do you want to force these two together as well? Because marriage is what will be asked of Louis if we acknowledge this baby! Katalina: They do not have to marry David! They could coparent like plenty of parents do in the Empire and Iona. The real reason you behind your decision is because you want to shield Louis from the consquences of his actions but he entered an adult relationship, did adult activites and he MUST handle this. You are coddling him! David: I am not! I am the Emperor and I say that Louis will not know and that we shall not acknowledge the boy. That is final!

Katalina: I do not know who you are anymore David...what happened to the family man, the one who put family before everything even the Crown...you are denying a BABY the chance to know his father...the other half of his family....I..I cannot stand here and let you do this...

David: Katalina! Kat! Edmund: I'll go...make sure to..contain this...I have a feeling this is something we don't tell our wives... Felipe: Okay...Papa left papers on his desk that appear important...I'll stay here Edmund: Alright Felipe... [Doors Shut]

Felipe: What's this? Wittmund Palace correspondance?

LADY ELLA HAS BEEN BAPTISED!

New family photo alert!

Lady Ella, daughter of the Earl and Countess of Harvelle (and Queen Emilia dn Prince Jacques’ first granchild) has been baptised! The Royal Family today shared a brand new photo via their official website and social media accounts! The snap shows the whole family (sans Anya) posing in the Crimson Room, one of the formal drawing rooms of Brindleton Palace.

The baptism apparently took place yesterday, and the ceremony itself was kept private, much like the list of godparents for the little Lady. It is, however, speculated that Princess Ingrid is one of the godmothers, while Prince Alistair stood as godfather to his niece. 

Crown Princess Anya, again, was a no-show, and rumours claim that one of the reasons Eleanore really wanted to patch things up with the heir to the throne was because she wanted both her sisters to be her daughter’s godmothers. Sources say that the royal sisters had a pact growing up that they’d be each other’s bridesmaids and that they’d be godmothers to each other’s eldest children. Sadly for Eleanore, all attempts for reconciliation have been brushed off by The Crown Princess.

Also a no-show? Ibrahim’s family. Much like their wedding, not a single member of the former Al-Simharan royal’s family attended the joyous occasion, but it’s not really a big surprise following the massive fall out between Ibrahim and his father, The King. As it turns out, The King issued a warning to the rest of his family: cut off all contact with Ibrahim or have their titles stripped and be banished out of the country. Ibrahim has been alienated from his own family since he relinquished his titles and married Eleanore, but, thankfully, that doesn’t seem to put a damper on Ibrahim’s new life - he’s plenty happy with his beautiful little family. 

The royals also released a black and white photo of the sleepy little Lady, being cuddled by her mum. The photo gives us a closer look at the little tot! It looks like she got her father’s dark, wavy hair but she sure got her mum’s charm! The sweet snap was confirmed to have been taken by Princess Ingrid.

Here’s hoping we see more of this beautiful family - especially adorable little Lady Ella!

I agree with the ChisEmi getting old anon, its time to focus on the collars of today. Mina deserves the same attention as Chisemi, if not more bc Ayannas creativity in every one of those posts is impressive. Theres also a ton of people collabing right now that Im sure would like an ounce of the same energy a years dead ship gets. You and Ayanna, Nexility-Sims and ArmoricaRoyalty, Funkyllama and OfficialRoyalsOfPierreland, and EmpireDeSimpartes whole funeral posts. I loved ChrisEmi, but its sad to see this as a story telling sims Tumblur.

Just to let you all know, Chrisemi is coming back for a bit in my story and will be front and center for their small storyline to finish Chris' arc 🙈

I know some of y'all are ready to move on from them but I'm not done just yet!

omg .... this is such a great reflective prompt & my head is 100% empty adsjkagfd can't distinguish what happened this year from what happened two years ago, lmao, so this is just what came to mind that i could readily fact-check...

first, i would say the return / resuming / revamping of stories by folks i adore—you know, yourself, @funkyllama, @armoricaroyalty,@thevalencianroyals' end-of-year surprise, @ardeney-sims whose vanessa series i am still behind w/ ... there are many others who belong on this list; it was a good year for Content I Love [EDIT: putting myself in jail for leaving off @trentonsimblr who kept us well fed despite her globe-trotting ... ]

second, alyssa's april fools day wedding spectacular, which was ... hilarious and 100% representative of what makes her story so good ! top notch scheming and romcom vibes, obviously

third, i found @dreamstatesims this year, and my dash has been all the better for it ! erica is kind and wonderful, and i love the fact that her sims have so much personality and are so wholesome ??? also sexy, pfft. kaila being engaged now, too, what a treat ! erica also gifted me barbie, who has beautified my story's family tree and whom i adore more than half my own sims dkjfsdlgfd

Francesim takes over the presidency of the Europeansim Council for 6 months. Headed by the young Emperor Napoleon V, he will have to propose political solutions to the various crises affecting the continent. In his speech, His Imperial Majesty mentioned the insecurity affecting E.U. member states, referring to the terrorists who assassinated Queen Viviana I and Emperor Napoleon IV.

Europeansim Council Summit: Francesim, Iona and Pierreland play spoilsport

The 8 heads of state of Europesim met for a summit of the Europeansim Council, one of the major institutions of the Europeansim Union. The role of the Europeansim Council is to decide on the next directions of the E.U. in the coming months, and it is currently presided over by the Empire of Francesim for 6 months.

H.I.M Emperor Napoléon V of the French, who presided over the meeting, wanted to impose stricter police measures throughout the EU.

The topics discussed at the diamond table focused mainly on the security of member states. As a reminder, Francesim and Iona have been the victims of attacks on their sovereigns, Emperor Napoléon IV and Queen Viviana I, in recent months. These terrorist acts raise many questions about policing and surveillance measures in the Europeansim Union. A few years ago, Pierreland also had to deal with a regicide.

H.I.M Emperor David of Pierreland brought his country's experience of crisis management to the diamond table.

While the national security vote is being prepared everywhere in the Europeansim institutions, uncertainty remains as to the severity of the legislation. This law is likely to have a major geopolitical impact on all Europeansim countries, allowing them to strengthen or not their surveillance measures, and leading to a clear reduction in individual freedoms.

Pierreland's proposals did not meet with unanimous approval, particularly from the heads of state in Iona and Greecesim.

Some countries, such as Greecesim, condemned these exchanges as a "terrible mistake". Queen Viviana II called for calm, proposing "reinforced surveillance" rather than fully aligning herself with the vigorous police measures proposed by the French Presidency.

From this meeting, we can only conclude that the Europeansim Council Summit will require further sessions to achieve fruitful debates. A rift between the Europesim countries is more than tangible, and is worrying the people of the E.U.

Cannes Film Festival's Douzaine begins! The French program Canal comments the opening of the festival on the Croisette

Reporter Emma: Welcome to Canal! As you have seen on our pictures, this year, His Majesty himself cut the ribbon and will inaugurate the festival. This had not happened for almost 100 years in Francesim!

Louis: The Isles are definately a family favorite in terms of vaction spots....the family has always had a house here but Mama really was the one that made it more functional for the 8 of us to spend time together and also make Papa do less work Eloise: I cannot imagine growing up with 5 other siblings...my brother and I are just enough drama on our own! Louis: Well, it does help when there's a big age gap...Felipe used to take me on the jet skis while Edmund would tech me how to dive...meanwhile Isabella always made sure to snatch me from my brothers when it looked like I was going to fall asleep in the water! Magdalena: My mom has told me such wonderful stories of the Isles, and even though I've been here several times, I still cannot help but marvel at the beauty. Capt. Mace: I must agree with you Ma'am. I was stationed out here as a younger man, and it has always been quite the place, one of the most beautiful jewels of the Empire, along with the port cities of Oderia and the Island of Anjou. Magdalena: I have yet to go to Oderia and Anjou but the countryside of Siene is always so stunning, reminds me of home. Have you been to Lunaria Captain?

Capt. Mace: I was there while in university, I took a semester with the Lunarian Naval Academy...Your mother I believe came to speak to us Pierrelander Sailors and she remarked it was nice to hear the familiar tones of home. I only was able to be in the Captial though, I've heard the rest of Lunaria is beautiful and calming...perhaps if the Crown Prince, or the Emperor takes any engagements there then I shall join them. Magdalena: I hope you do! Though you may be stuck in the capital again, though I'm sure if it is Uncle David, Mom and Dad try to get him out to Ancastor so they can all breath a little.

Her Imperial Majesty, Madame Mother, accompanied the sovereigns of Pierreland for their tribute to the deceased monarch.

The Francesim - Pierreland relationship: Friendship with the empire of Pierreland is one of the greatest diplomatic works of the late Emperor Napoléon IV. Today, although no imperial marriage between the dynasties is on the agenda, we can see beyond an alliance a true brotherhood between the two European empires.
