Spherical Silica Powder
Kona has developed Spherical Silica Powder for high-performance applications, especially for cosmetic filler, such as lipstick filler, powder filling, eyeshadow filler, mascara filler and so on. Our spherical silica powder has high sphericity, narrow distribution, smooth feel, and has been hydrophobic treated.
SPHERICAL SILICA POWDER FEATURES
Mineral makeup powders contain zinc oxide, titanium dioxide, mica and iron oxides and spherical silica.
Silica is not only an ingredient used in mineral makeup, but also used in lipstick, eyeshadow, mascara and other cosmetics.
Our silica also been used in skin prep creams, sun creams and so on.
Kona spherical silica powder has high sphericity, large surface area, narrow distribution and good fluidity.
Our spherical silica powder is white and easy to colour.
Kona powder has been treated with hydrophobic treatment, which can help strengthen the makeup holding time and has a good affinity for skin.
Solution: Makeup Ingredient.
SPHERICAL SILICA POWDERS USED IN COSMETICS
Spherical Silica Powders Used in Cosmetics
Silicon oxide, i.e Silica used in cosmetics and personal care products is amorphous. Our Silica has good sphericity, which improves the texture and feel of the cosmetics formulations.
Our product has good fluidity, the spherical silica help the cosmetic products to spread evenly and easily, which make the cosmetic products bulkier.
Our spherical silica powder is an inorganic component, easy to cooperate with other components of cosmetics, non-toxic, tasteless, and itself is white, can be easily colored, especially valuable is its strong ability to reflect UV, and it help the products to absorb excess oil and sweat from the skin.
Our spherical silica powder can be used in a range of makeup and skin care products, such as lipstick, pressed powder and mascara cream fillers, lotion and sunscreens fillers.

A new technique that produces 3D models of individual crystals has opened a window for scientists to see the subtle deviations that emerge in their otherwise perfect patterns. Researchers from New York University (NYU) went back to the drawing board on how to look deep inside solids made of repeating units, and determine how they grow. With a short wavelength roughly the same size as many of the repeating units that make up crystals, X-rays have long allowed scientists to infer how a crystal's components fit together by measuring the angle at which the rays are diffracted.

Why do materials get stronger when they are deformed? Research sheds light on universal mechanisms of work hardening
The earliest blacksmiths in the Bronze and Iron Ages figured out that when they deformed metal through bending or hammering, it became stronger. This process, known as work or strain hardening, is still used widely in metallurgy and manufacturing today to increase the strength of everything from car frames to overhead power wires. But materials scientists have never been able to watch this essential process unfold in real time—until now. A team of scientists from the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS) have observed, for the first time, the detailed mechanisms driving the fundamental process of work hardening. The research, conducted at the Harvard Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC), provides a deeper understanding of material strength, which could have a wide-ranging impact on material design and manufacturing.

This is starting to piss me off, so here's a friendly PSA: spreading fearmongering COVID misinformation is literally no better than spreading dismissive "the pandemic never happened" COVID misinformation. If you are reblogging or reposting unverified conspiratorial bullshit just because you think it sounds plausible, you are doing the same thing as your annoying relatives on Facebook who post nonsense "studies" claiming that COVID is just a cold. If you don't understand virology or immunology, and you can't be bothered to fact-check these things, stop fucking posting about them. You are doing more harm than good, especially when you encourage people to ignore CDC/WHO recommendations or take dangerous "alternative medicine."

Plastic Lens Polishing Slurry
The Mohs hardness of the resin lens can reach 6-7 after hardening treatment, so we choose alumina as based abrasives to make polishing slurry. Because alumina has a Mohs hardness of up to 9, rapid efficiency can be achieved in the polishing process of resinous optical lenses.
PLASTIC LENS POLISHING SLURRY FEATURES
Plastic is commonly used in optical lenses. Kona provides water-based Alumina suspension for the plastic lens polishing process.
Kona plastic lens polishing slurry allows our customers to reach a high-quality finished surface with no compromise on an aggressive removal rate.
We develop high-purity alumina slurry for plastic lens polishes. We choose the suitable type of alumina powders which provide high performance in speed as well as no damage to the lens surface.
According to the chemical characteristics of the lens, we designed weakly acidic water-based alumina slurry, which also can get a good slurry life in our customers' fab.
DETAILS OF PLASTIC LENS POLISHING SLURRY
Resin lens is a kind of lens made by chemical synthesis of resin as raw material, and after mechanical processing including polishing. Compared with traditional glass lenses, it is thinner and lighter, often less than half the weight of traditional glass lenses. At the same time, the resin lens has good impact resistance, is not easy to break, good light transmittance, and low cost.
Resin lens as optical material needs precision and quality polishing before used, the resin lens polishing slurry provided by Kona is based on alumina abrasive, a quality CMP polishing solution, can meet the requirements of optical lenses.

Love how every month or so someone in my family tries to send me hot tips or fringe research about how to treat/cure fibromyalgia/bipolar/autism/etc as though I'm not already seeing actual relevant professionals and doing actual recommeded shit manage them and clearly the concept of chronic illness is medical propaganda and I'm just not TRYING hard enough to be 'healthy'
