6. Come See About Me by The Supremes debuted Nov 64 and peaked at number one for two non-consecutive weeks, scoring 1436 points.
The song was the number one single on the Billboard chart dated Dec 19, 1964. It was replaced by I Feel Fine by The Beatles on Dec 26, and returned to number one the week of Jan 16, 1965.
Nella Dodds also charted in 1964 with a quick remake, and Jr Walker and the All Stars took it to number 24 in 1968.
This was their third number one in a row, and Diana was still in the middle. Soon she would be off to the side, with Flo and Mary clearly in the background.

i like senshi pantyshots as much as the next guy but this whole "danmeshi fandom is progressive and feminist bc senshi is sexualised while marcille and falin are not" is getting annoying terf-y and gross
there's plenty of smutty farcelle fanworks, there's plenty of eroticism in canon. the lack of gratuitous feteshisation is good yes, but "wlw ships are good bc they're sexless and pure" is a tired and bigoted take

The real reason we’ll never get another Turtles Forever is because if these three met then they would absolutely destroy everything in their paths.
Also they’d verbally eradicate any villain’s self esteem in like 10 seconds.

Chappell Roan, a lesbian, went on a national broadcast tonight and performed a song about dating a closeted woman who refuses to acknowledge their relationship and denies the fact that she’s a lesbian. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that happening but here we are and it’s amazing.
As a lesbian woman, to have an artist go out and be so entirely herself in every way, to be so proud of her own sexuality and to perform a song like this and have it be broadcasted to millions of people…it makes me so emotional. All I have ever wanted as a queer woman is to have this sort of unabashed representation and we’re finally getting it in such an incredible way. What an era we are living in and all I can say is long may it continue and I am so proud to be a Chappell Roan fan.
