When Vasquez said she had a question, Phoenix already knew it wasn't going to be good.
Tumblr media
I had completely forgotten the motive. It's refreshing to replay AA after so many years. I feeeel so old.
Tumblr media
Oh Milessssss. You do remember Mia and Phoenix were ready to give up three times the day before. ahahaha.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Constipated Phoenix has entered the picture. Phoenix is literally just as bad at it as Miles.
Tumblr media
Winning, losing, yup. The opposite choices of words to say.
Tumblr media
Phoenix... You got there after seeing him like this. You are so weak to Miles. He is also so weak to you. And cueee the music. Cue us cheering Phoenix on.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Will Powers introduction and he goes... stumbling and glaring. Eloquent Miles is gone. Of course he is! He's meeting his idol. So adorable Miles.
Tumblr media
Wow. I feel offended for Miles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is so calllm again. Us being Maya... "meeting again?""
Tumblr media
All I could think was... cue the angst Miles. Why I did not answer any letter? Why I never wanted to remember? Remembering Phoenix was remembering the most painful thing.
Tumblr media
Mr. Unnecessary feelings which he will carry 'til the end of time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He can't not see him. They live in the same city and would possible cross paths. We all know what he's thinking.
Tumblr media
Phoenix? What's your angle? Accidently screen shot Maya like this. This would be Maya's face after years of seeing them both pin so muuuch!

Miles Edgeworth as a character is interesting because (in universe) he doesn't do anything illegal (until he pretends to be a defense attorney in Trials and Tribulations). He is an example of what happens in an unethical legal system. The kind of person who has an advantage and still plays hardball at the expense of innocents. To call him a criminal or to try to put him under a microscope to show the real-world laws he's breaking makes no sense. Because his character is the law. AA1 Edgeworth is clearly a commentary about how the law is neither moral nor kind. He is a bad person in the first game. He is also a law abiding citizen. I might have just made it blatantly obvious that I haven't played Investigations yet, idk.

Rise From the Ashes has proven to be an interesting case to crack and admittedly it has similar vibes to Turnabout Goodbyes (I mean a direct connection to the previous case which caused dilemmas years ago and which had same people in it) :D I can hardly wait for the following court trials!
Also: I'M ONTO YOU MR. COWBOY OFFICER MARSHALL AND MS. LUNCHLADY (FORMER PRO INVESTIGATOR)

SOrry if you've been asked this before but since you're the one person I follow who's into Ace Attorney I can't help but ask. What's the best way to get into it?? I've seen the gameplay from RT but I know there's more and have no clue where to start. I only just realized there's an anime. For the love of God help me I want more of funny lawyer game. Thank u
i got you 😼 most of what i can say is the order in which to play/watch the games. whether you play the games yourself or watch a no-commentary or commentary let's play is up to you. playing the games yourself is more immersive and forces you to actually use your brain though which is why i joke around saying i suspect a lot of aa fans on tumblr and twitter have watched let's plays with commentary by the lowest of the low e.g. the game grumps. but especially if you don't have the money/don't know how to pirate then there's nothing wrong w watching a let's play.
here's the order of the games in terms of the TIMELINE, with the exception of plvpw and dgs/tgaa. this is how i would recommend playing them instead of in order of release dates. this is mostly because the transition directly from aa3 to aa4 can be VERY jarring in terms of interpreting phoenix's character as well as general timeline-based context, as well as the sudden jump from the more modern setting in the mainline games + aai to the older setting in dgs. this is why i put aai1+2 between aa3 and aa4 and plvpw between soj and dgs1+2. note that if you do jump around, you should go through the games in chunks of the trilogy (aa1-3), aai (1+2), the post-trilogy mainline games (aa4-6), dgs (1+2), and plvpw. mostly because for example it'd be kind of weird to play dgs in the middle of aai1 and aai2, considering thay aai2 happens like a week or two aftee aai1 and dgs happens in the meiji period (victorian era).
•phoenix wright: ace attorney. the first game. pretty standard, the big classic and where most of the memes come from. abbreviated to pwaa or aa1.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- justice for all. the second game. really good and really bad at the same time (you'll know exactly what i mean if/when you go through it.) abbreviated to aa2 or jfa.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- trials and tribulations. the third game. gets really fucking complicated but in a super cool way. abbreviated to aa3 or t&t.
•ace attorney investigations: miles edgeworth. the first investigations game, which isn't part of the "main line" of aa games. honestly pretty dull in terms of story relative to the rest of the aa series but GREAT for characters and interactions, plus it introduced some new gameplay styles. abbreviated to aai or aai1*.
•ace attorney investigations: miles edgeworth 2 (unofficially localized subtitle of "prosecutor's path"). still has no no official localization. regarded by a considerable number of fans including myself to be the best game in the aa series. literally so fucking good. please play aai2. abbreviated to aai2 or rarely gk2.
•apollo justice: ace attorney. now we're back to the main line of games. shu takumi originally wanted to introduce a new cast of characters and say goodbye to the old ones besides phoenix, who makes an interesting "new" character. however, after he stopped writing for the games, the other writers basically ignored his wish in later games. anyways, apollo is the protagonist now and he's just a guy with anxiety. also this game gets my personal vote for best soundtrack in the series. abbreviated to aj or aa4.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- dual destinies. yeah, phoenix is back in the title. woooooah it's in 3d now. they butcher apollo halfway to hell. at least we get athena here, though. i love her. it's easy to see it as kind of a mediocre game because the start and finish were very lacking, but the middle was jam-packed tbh. abbreviated to aa5 or dd.
•phoenix wright: ace attorney- spirit of justice. bringing back and butchering edgeworth in ddvwasn't enough. now they had to do it to maya, too. don't even get me started on the colorism going on in this game. a very polarizing game, some consider it a perfect addition to the series while others (including myself) see it as having some of the poorest storytelling and gameplay in the series. at least the turnabout sisters remaster nearly made me cry though. anyways it's abbreviated to aa6 or soj.
•professor layton vs. phoenix wright: ace attorney. this game is optional but super fun if you're into professor layton as well as ace attorney, or honestly just either one of them. this is a game you should DEFINITELY play for yourself as opposed to watching a let's play because it's a puzzle/adventure game as well as just a visual novel. abbreviated to plvpw:aa, plvpwaa, and plvpw.
•the great ace attorney (recently localized with the subtitle "adventures"). just what one would expect and more, imo. very entertaining while far more grounded than later mainline games (thank goodness). i love most of the characters especially iris she's my daughter i am adopting her now. abbreviated to dgs, dgs1, tgaa, tgaa1, and now probably tgaaa.
•dai gyakuten saiban 2/the great ace attorney 2 (recently localized with the subtitle "resolve"). finally. the official localization is here. it was a meme for so long. anyways, this is also known as one of the best games in the series alongside (if not behind or ahead of) aai2. the hype was totally worth it. abbreviated as dgs2, tgaa2, and now probably tgaar.
NOTES:
•games 1-3 are known as "the trilogy" because. well. they're the original 3 games.
•ace attorney investigations 1-2 are simply just called "investigations" and the series was originally going to focus on ema skye instead of miles edgeworth.
•rise from the ashes is a dlc case which goes along with the first game, also the only officially localized case without "turnabout" in the title. prior to the release of apollo justice, people argued over whether or not it was canon because it contradicted some pieces of the games or was missing certain things. a lot of things were retconned.
•you do NOT have to play dgs last. if you want to get into it earlier, especially considering the hype, i wouldn't even warn against playing it BEFORE the trilogy and other games. playing it right before or after the investigations games is cool too. everything besides the placement of dgs though i would recommend as the play order.
•this probably seems like a LOT of information but it's really easy to understand once you get into it. it does not NOT feel like as long or complex of a series once you play the games and understand the very vague ties between each "section" of the series. in fact, a lot of ace attorney fans have NOT played/watched every single game. some people haven't played dgs, some people haven't played investigations. hell, some people have only gone through the trilogy. just make sure to have fun and not try to rush or force yourself! that'll just make the whole experience unenjoyable. i've known a few people who've started the series and stopped because they decided it just wasn't for them, which is totally fine.
*was referred to as "perfect prosecutor" by fans prior to official localization, as a nod to the alliteration in the original "ace attorney" title, but no one calls it that anymore.

You don’t have to answer this if you don’t want to, but as someone semi active in the aa fandom, do you have any recommendations on game playthroughs to watch? I’ve always kind of liked the aa fandom, but I’ve consumed remarkably little official content (just the first game and first season of the anime/working through the second) and don’t have any reasonable way to play the games myself. I know most of the plot lines and characters, but haven’t actually seen most of their storylines in the original material. Again, I can just look through let’s plays, but I was wondering if there were any you liked or heard were good?
oh definitely! let me think. i havn’t watched a ton of playthroughs myself actually but heres what i’ve gathered from around town
i enjoyed pb and talks trilogy playthrough and i’d recommend it if you want to be like. in on a lot of in jokes in the community but my feelings on prozd are complicated (type of guy who makes videos ranking the love live girls) the two guys are talented and funny voice actors though so. you’ll probably enjoy your time. they also did the first investigations game and to my frustration not the second one even though prozd literally voices gregory in the fan translation. whatever.
i was recommended lucahjins who is in the recommenders words “pretty funny” she’s finished aa1 through 4, aai, and is part way through aai2
for the whole entire series i hear amazing things about pixel partners. they have a whole playlist with the entire series, aa1 through 6 aai1+2, and the dgs dualogy *i believe they’re playing the scarlet study translation so they’ve only finished up to dgs2-3 but presumably they’ll finish w the release of the official translation on tuesday
theres also jelloapocalypse but i have a vendeta against him because he hates the investigations games and is also kind of a weirdo so this is more of an anti recommendation. you’ll definitely have his playthoughs recommends to you by youtubes algorithm at some point
if you want to experience the series without commentary theres plenty of playthroughs for that as well. i’d recommend sylzer who i think has done of all them.

For the Author Ask meme:
5. Favorite Head Canon?:
For Narumitsu/ Wrightworth I headcanon the progression of them getting together like this:
At the end AA1-4 after they go out drinking to celebrate, Phoenix goes back to the office with Miles and Maya and they all sleep it off. After making sure Maya gets on the train to her village, Phoenix invites Miles over to his apartment and Miles accepts, because he doesn’t want to go back to his place just yet; he’s still pretty vulnerable and in shock. So he stays with Phoenix a few days, Larry comes over on New Years, and they have their first kiss (Larry is passed out on the floor because he drank himself stupid after his gf dumped him earlier that day).
They are tentatively dating at the beginning of the new year. They’re still feeling this all out and Phoenix, whose mission to become a lawyer just to save Miles- is now complete, is getting more into his law career for his own reasons.
Then AA 1-5 happens and Miles “chooses death”. Phoenix is distraught, angry and grieving that Miles would destroy himself after Phoenix had fought so hard to save him. The events of JFA happen and at the end of it, Miles comes over to Phoenix’s apartment and they talk it out...things get heated and then passionate. A week later Miles asks Phoenix if they could date, now that Mikes is in a better headspace about himself, his world-view/the law, and his feelings about Phoenix. Phoenix accepts and they spend their time healing. A month later they finally sleep together and continue to date through the events of TAT, now dealing with a long distance relationship, but after the last case with everything they went through, Phoenix proposes to Miles.
They have a long engagement...they don’t marry until after Phoenix earns his badge back and the Dark Age of the Law has ended.
Whiiiiich differs from Strange Day’s canon in that Narumitsu marry/mate shortly after JFA.
10. What thing in one of your stories you would change if you could it over?
I think...making Simon an Omega(and Athena an Alpha) in SD just for it to be interesting. Especially as there could be commentary on how Simon is an assumed Alpha due to his size. Originally he was supposed to be an Omega but the story makes more sense for him to be an Alpha. He is overly loyal to Miles and will protect Miles and his pack. He’s going to be needed to help in Apollo’s training, and he is the only on who can control Klavier should Klavier try anything.
But if circumstances of the story were different maybe he could be an omega.
Oh and, umm not having Clay dead in Strange Days. Don’t worry everyone he’ll pop up in the main story- I promise!
12. Hardest thing for you to write?:
Genre: Drama. I think I’m good with comedy, but sometimes with drama I struggle to show and not tell. Or I gloss over things because I don’t want to explore or describe the discomfort I’m and the character are feeling.
Story: ch 14 of Strange Days....that sucker took me THREE YEARS to finish.

OH HEY YEAH i think the main difference that makes my opinions on certain aa things like. differ from like general consensuses or whatever is the fact that I HAVENT ACTUALLY BEEN PLAYING THE GAMESSSSS i own the first one and played it a long long time ago but other than that. sdfhdfjd i kinda feel bad abt it tbh but whats done is done honestly,, but yeah ive been watching those no commentary walkthroughs on yt since 2, basically i havent done aai2 yet bc i went to aai after 4 and after that i was like I MISS PHOENIXXX so ive been on dual destinies and im abt 2/3 through that.. so my plan is to then go to aai2 and then soj. and tbh i might actually try to emulate and like PLAY those but ive never emulated before so shits scary... whether or not i do that tho i do think i wanna get the turnabout collection for my switch and then i can play thru 2 and 3 eventually n all that shit i am not immune to consumerism smh
as for reginas theme idk man its just me i dont like it u cant make me like it.. like tbh i actually think its like good as in its Effective i think.. but like my ears just hate it idk. i feel like its repetitive too and so it just gets like annoying to listen to for me.. anyway yeah i do agree basically w what you said abt 2-3 and if id played it im pretty sure id hate it too but i mean the shit i like Liked abt it was like. everything you didnt mention jdfghersdhf i love the shit that has nothing to do w the actual fuckin case ie That Part in the plaza w franziska GOD THAT PART.. and also i said this to a friend who id also been talking abt it with another time and like may as well share it with you, au where regina is 20 the ventriloquist is the one who died and everything is Fine.

OKAY OKAY NOT TO LIKE. PRESSURE YOU OR ANYTHING BUT. PLAYING THE GAMES YOURSELF IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE THAN WATCHING A PLAYTHROUGH. both my partner and i can attest to this, i tried to watch a playthrough of aa1 years ago and it was SO BORING but then when my current roommates wanted to play the series with me i immediately got sucked in. like. there’s some stuff you just... need to Experience for yourself i think but maybe that’s just me?? idk i don’t think i’d even be into the series at all if i hadn’t actually played it myself.
my roommate and i ended up playing aai and aai2 after trials and tribulations because he was telling me that that’s the order the games take place in chronologically and also cuz he knows i kin really like edgeworth ghdfnd honestly i’m afraid i won’t be able to get through aa4 for like. a similar reason that you had for skipping aai2 because I Will Miss Edgeworth.
also emulating is totally not that scary i promise the scariest part is finding the roms. emulating is totally safe and as long as you have decent antivirus software (like windows defender or just. common sense not to click on shady links) you can basically just google ‘[game title] rom’ and find stuff pretty easily. i think it took maybe 5 minutes total for me to find roms for both aai and aai2.
and bro it’s like. totally fine to have differing opinions on music i prommy. i can def understand the repetitive part but considering most of the songs are played on loop in the background anyway i start getting annoyed by any song in the games that loops more than like 3 times in a row (it’s the Sensory Issues).
my main issue with turnabout big top (besides the ped*philia which according to my roommate didn’t even exist in the japanese version) definitely has a lot to do with having to play it. the investigation is long and tedious and the reveal of what actually happened is just so fucking Stupid and Ridiculous. when i played with my roommates i kept making guesses as to what happened with the ringmaster and how the culprit flew and shit and every time they were like “i wish that’s what actually happened, it would make more sense” ghfjfdnf and yeah i like the part in the plaza with franziska too and all the times they mention edgeworth and we get to hear more about what exactly Happened and shit but. that Cannot save the case for me. those bits do not cancel out the utter bullshit that case put me through it still fills me with rage just to think about it (other than regina my angel whom i adore).
and yeah literally just. keeping regina Of Legal Age would fix the ped*philia stuff but i probably still wouldn’t like the case just because of how stupid and rage-inducing the plot twists and reveal of the actual events were.

"This time, Miles was the one to break the silence." until “'I know you weren’t. Just… thought you should know.'” from Fifty Flights of Stairs (plus one) for the DVD commentary :]
oh wow I Can’t Believe It’s Not The Catch-Up Game -- haha yes of course Mika!! It’s short(ish) so I won’t cut off the post.
This time, Miles was the one to break the silence. “My father… what was he like?”
“Pardon?”
“My memories of him, they’re still… fuzzy,” Miles admitted. “I remember bits and pieces. But there’s a perspective of him I had as a child, that likely was different from reality.”
Raymond sighed. “You know, it’s fuzzy for me, too. It’s been nearly eighteen years, after all. But, Miles… the one thing I would never doubt… was that he loved you more than anything in the whole world.”
“That’s not… I wasn’t fishing for that.”
“I know you weren’t. Just… thought you should know.”
So basically I got hit with DL-6 feelings late at night on the latest DL-6 day and just kind of... wrote out an entire fic in one go and posted it the next day, which is super uncharacteristic for me, and somehow I STILL like this fic, also uncharacteristic for me,
Anyways this passage (and most of the fic, actually) I just had a LOT of feelings about Gregory, and Miles, and how Miles’ perspective of Gregory changed throughout the years. Because Miles very obviously idolized Gregory so much when he was a little kid, probably thought he could do no wrong, but Gregory is human and probably made mistakes at some point. Then contrast this with how Miles was brought up with MvK, where he was told that all defense attorneys were scum who got criminals acquitted blah blah, and that probably unfairly tainted the image of Gregory too, where the real Gregory was somewhere in between “my dad is the COOLEST and most AMAZING hero in the WORLD!” and “my dad had no morals and let criminals go free so he could get paid”.
(Although I don’t think Miles’ image of Gregory was THAT completely tarnished... you can bet MvK took every chance he got to drag down Gregory, and if AA1 Miles is anything to go by, his opinion of defense attorneys was Not Great.)
Ray himself is a little similar to Miles because you can tell he just idolized Gregory as well and held him in high esteem throughout his life. Although Ray’s a little different in that he’s older than Miles and was closer to a colleague to Gregory, although I did add in some lines saying he saw Gregory as a father figure because headcanons and also pushing the whole parent-child theme that’s in aai2. So Ray’s in a slightly more objective ground but not... completely objective, although to nine-year-old Miles he probably thought Ray was definitely A Fully Grown Adult (despite being eighteen/nineteen which is like, adult lite) and on equal terms with his father, so he seems like a more unbiased source about what his dad was like. Which is why he’s now asking him for a different perspective; he wants to know more about who his dad REALLY was, not “hero who could do no wrong” or “corrupt defense attorney”.
Ray on the other hand has been there for all of the “I wish my son could see this” and “I’m worried my son isn’t making friends” and “I hope my son finds people he can connect with” -- he knows that Gregory absolutely adored Miles. And Ray as I said before idolized Gregory so he probably knows too that his view of Gregory wasn’t completely objective, and that he didn’t have enough time on equal ground with Gregory to get to know him as well as he would like, but everyone who ever met Gregory probably heard about how much he loved his son. He also doesn’t know the full deal with MvK but post Imprisoned Turnabout (in this fic) he did more research and learned about what MvK did, and feels like he needs to really hammer it in that Gregory did love him, would still love him even if he knew what happened with Miles’ career, and would still be proud to see him following in his footsteps as a defense attorney... which is what Ray’s going for.
So... Miles is reaching for a more objective perspective on his father, because he’s also having those doubts about whether or not Gregory intentionally lied during the channeling. And also just before this conversation they were talking about Kay and Miles’ fatherly relationship to her, and he doubts that he can really be a good father figure considering all his complicated emotions about his own father. Ray in the meantime is dealing with a lot of survivor’s guilt regarding DL-6 and guilt that he couldn’t save Miles from MvK’s clutches, so he’s trying to make up for it a bit retroactively by providing knowledge on Gregory (which Miles hasn’t had, at this point in time) and Gregory’s defining character trait is Being A Proud Father.
... hm this went on longer than I thought. I don’t really have any notes to reference for this since I wrote and posted it all in a day so I was making some of this up on the fly, but I think this is what I was going for? Haha I hope it’s alright, thank you for asking!!

i think the thing you reblogged about the aa games not being commentary for the japanese legal system only applies to aa1 ? i cant see how especially aa3 isn’t social commentary, however in rise of ashes it’s so transparent.. idk
yea I'm pretty sure it is and also rfta came what... after aa3 or aa4? so its message definitely was on purpose. I think takumi started to find the themes for the game eventually as I mean aa4 is pretty blatant commentary too like all the games are that he wrote really... aa1 definitely seems like the only one

Even Miles believes Manfred is all that. He is a terrifying image for Miles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His profile description had changed entirely! Gone is the anything to get a guilty verdict!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Phoenix being old mean. He doesn't even let Miles forget he's similar. Edgeworth here implied something else. Like...forging. and Phoenix just as said it. Phoenix really believed he forged evidence. Sad. AA1 Edgeworth never forged but he prepped his cases and does manipulate cases in a way to win. Where the defense won't get the chance to put doubt. Wrong but remember Miles was in the belief all defendants are guilty.
Tumblr media
Manfred's an awful man. Even Miles could not call him mentor. Was Miles not allowed to?
Tumblr media
Maya is the MVP for questioning Lotta. He's Mr. Emotionally Constipated. Not that Phoenix is all that different.

monthly media retrospective: february
books
• hardboiled wonderland and the end of the world by murakami haruki
this was my first foray into murakami’s work other than his short stories. i can appreciate the tone in which he writes and the translations of his work are all in all very well done, but this book never truly captured my attention. his misogyny and other such problems will definitely be a barrier in my like of him, though i do plan to read more of him in the future. 2.75/5 ⭐︎
• death on the nile by agatha christie
likewise this was my first time giving christie’s work a try. she writes extremely simply, no flowery prose or challenging concepts, just a good fast-paced mystery. i can see why her stuff is so endlessly popular, as her twists and red herrings are good. im planning on reading and then there were none next. 3/5 ⭐︎
• before the coffee gets cold by toshikazu kawaguchi
this was a wonderful short story written by a playwright that was another very easy read. despite its simplicity, it managed to have a lot of life and heart, and i found myself very touched by it. im looking forward to reading the sequel. 4/5 ⭐︎
shows:
• great pretender season 1
this is an anime i came back aorund on after watching the first episode when it came out a few years back. this time i managed to get through the whole thing in a few days, and i really loved every bit of it. the style is very charming, i love the globe-trotting nature and the international cast who all speak different languages. its just a really fun well done series. and makoto is so my style. i love this show.
• utena season 2
continuing with my utena rewatch has left us at the end of the black rose arc, probably my favorite arc thus far, but im only early on in the last and final arc. mikage was a great addition and the duels were very well done. i love how much attention this show pays to its side characters, wakaba and kozue are my favorites. i am greatly enjoying the experience of watching it for the first time alongside my friend.
• lupin seasons 1+2 (rewatch)
this is another show i watched with oli this month, and it was still such a delight the second time. the pacing on this is immaculate, and it has what i would say is one of the strongest openings of a show of this nature. the two times ive watched it ive watched the entire first season in one sitting. the second season is just as well done as the first, and builds on the things established perfectly. its commentary on race is also so well done. a really well executed modern retelling.
movies:
• in this corner of the world
an amazing movie about the latter half of ww2 in japan (specifically told through the lense of a young woman from nagasaki). i loved this, and i think it was perfectly done. stories about war on a human scale are very important to conveying what the experience was actually like, and in this corner of the world excells at the story it conveys. i love the style and animation as well, this is a movie ive kept thinking about since ive watched it.
video games:
• dai gyakuten saiban 1
we technically finished this jan 30th but im going to count it here. god, i love this game so much. its very quickly becoming a core part of me. i loved the first four ace attorneys but in dgs you can so clearly see the improvement. from its pacing, to its reveals, to its female character writing, this series has come such a long way. the opening to this game and up to case 3 is immaculate and so well-paced. case 4 flounders a lot in its storytelling but nonetheless the pace is kept up, and it doesnt drag. case 5 is fantastic and i love the lead-in to dgs2. ive always thought ace attorneys biggest strength was when it tells an overarching story (i love aa1 for this reason especially), and dgs1-5 really knocks it out of the park in setting up for the second game and being a great case on its own. the mere fact that the jokes in this game are landing is a huge improvement over older aa games (though i love those in their own way too). dgs is phenomenal, and theres not a day that goes by that im not thinking about it.
albums:
• hadestown original broadway cast recording
i had the privilege of seeing hadestown on broadway for the second time, and its safe to say i loved it even more on a new viewing. the first act is set up so well, and its just an excellent retelling. i listened to the full album on the train back home for the first time and really got to focus on and appreciate the sound of the thing. this story is so perfectly done, and i love it deeply. my favorite songs have to be wedding song, chant, why we build the wall, his kiss/the riot, and word to the wise.

1. This is a sideblog, follows/follows back will be from @prosecutorsoffice.
2. This blog is:
Semi-Selective: Everyone is welcome to follow, however I might be a bit choosy about follows back. IM and Inbox are open for anyone though, so feel free to drop by.
Multiship: I’m shipping trash and open to any sort of relationship, from platonic to romantic. If you’re interested in shipping, ask away. Romantic ships will only be possible with the muse as an adult though.
Multiverse: Interactions with different muses are to be considered to take place in a different verse unless the muse is interacting with more than one muse belonging to the same mun or to a multiship blog. Same goes for shipping, so there will be no cheating involved.
OC-friendly: Pretty self-explanatory, if your muse is an OC and you want to interact, you’ll be more than welcome. No Mary Sues or Gary Stus though, please (I had a bad experience in this regard ^^;).
Crossover-friendly: Your muse belongs to a different fandom? That’s perfectly fine! It might take a little longer to follow back if I’m not familiar with the fandom in question, but if there’s interest in interacting just go with it and follow! See rule #18 for series I know pretty/decently well.
3. Mun is 21+ and open to roleplay NSFW themes, which will be tagged as Hormones Racing At The Speed Of Light [NSFW] and put under ‘read more’ if necessary. Such things will only be possible with my muse as an adult though.
4. No godmodding (controlling my muse yourself) unless we both discussed the plot of the thread via IM beforehand and you know how my muse would act in that specific situation.
5. No metagaming (using knowledge of someone’s muse that a character has no way of knowing) outside of dash commentaries (tagged Watching From A Distance [Dash Commentary]).
6. Like mentioned above, IM and inbox are open for anyone, be it for plotting, asking random questions or just chatting and getting to know each other. I’m open to RP via IM and Discord if we’re mutuals and already familiar with each other.
7. I don’t care about reply length, just write whatever you feel like. I’m perfectly okay with one-liners, para, multi-para and drabble-length replies, whichever floats your boat.
10. Don’t reblog OOC posts (tagged Friends On The Other Side [OOC]), Rules (tagged The Name Of The Game [Rules]), Headcanons (tagged Of All The Things I Am [Headcanons]) written by myself, or threads you’re not taking part to. Seriously, it’s annoying as hell so. Please. Don’t. Do. It!
8. I’m more than happy to turn asks into threads. I don’t mind if you reblog the ask too, but if it bothers you just let me know.
9. Please let me know if you want to drop a thread we’re doing, and at the same time I will let you know if I want to drop a thread we’re doing as well.
10. I don’t really like to RP angst that much, although I don’t mind it once in a while. Hurt/comfort is okay, though, and my go-to type of thread. Other things I prefer avoiding are dub/non-con, gore and vore.
11. Triggers might be present and will be tagged accordingly as TW: (ex. TW: Blood). Trigger warnings will be tagged even if mentioned, just to be safe. If you want me to tag a specific trigger, just let me know.
12. No hounding / pressuring for replies / answers. I won’t do the same with my RP partners and ask the same courtesy from them. If I haven’t replied for a while, you’re welcome to ask me (gently) via IM. Chances are I’m busy with real life (I’m an university student on my last year), my computer/phone don’t work or I need more time to come up with a proper reply.
13. While I don’t mind M!A (Magic Anons), I don’t do them all that often and will only accept them when and if I request to be sent them, either by posting something or reblogging a M!A meme. Don’t count on it too much though.
14. Please keep drama and anon hate away from me. I’m here to have fun. Much appreciated ^^
15. Regarding ships,  I’m okay with age difference, as long as the youngest muse involved is of age (at least 18) and the age difference is no higher than 10 years.
16. Spoilers will be tagged as My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark [Spoilers] and with the AA game they’re spoiling, for example AA1 Spoilers. Usually I tag spoilers from AA4 onward, including the Investigations games and Dai Gyakuten Saiban 1 & 2, but if you want me to tag earlier games too, feel free to ask me.
17. If I follow your RP sideblog and you follow me back from your main blog, please let me know you’re the mun behind that RP sideblog, either via IM or ask. I’ll generally do the same if we don’t know each other.
18. Regarding crossovers, here’s some of the series I’m into and know very/decently well:
Persona Series (Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Persona 3 FES, P3P, Persona 4, Persona 5, Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona 4 Dancing All Night)
Yuri!!! On Ice
Pokémon games
Harry Potter
Artemis Fowl
Danganronpa
Ouran High School Host Club
Villainous / Villanos
Saint Seiya (Classic Series, Lost Canvas, Hades, Soul of Gold)
Bones
CSI (Las Vegas, Miami, New York)
Leverage
Castle
Criminal Minds

Rules
See rule #19 for fandoms I know pretty/decently well.
3. Mun is 21+ and open to roleplay NSFW themes, which will be tagged as Hormones Racing At The Speed Of Light[NSFW] and put under ‘read more’ if necessary.

Like 5 years of rent Phoenix. He will probably pay that much and more. ehehehe. Not because of the charge but Miles will overpay Phoenix times 20.
Tumblr media
I don't remember how Larry was involved but it's obvious this was Gourdy.
Tumblr media
Larry as a witness had always been a disaster but somewhat saves them. lmaoo. They're, just at a point, ready to have heart attacks multiple times before they are saved.
Tumblr media
This is our favorite line in this testimony! and what literally saved Miles life.
Tumblr media
At the same time, Miles is realizing or thinking the worst. Probably the biggest anxiety he had at the time.

Miles always looking so gooood. Love him in crisp, sharper and unpixilated view.
Tumblr media
My favorite line because all witness never cooperate with these lawyers. ahahah.
Tumblr media
See? He's already annoyed. Lmaoooo. Tho he doesn't say anything this time to get the witness to speak properly. Lmaooo. Hook. Liner. Sink.
Tumblr media
Mia summoned. We miss her don't we. SS drives me crazy for this game. Harder compared to AA5.
Tumblr media
Smugg Edgeworth has come to the house. I love this look of his. Miss it even.
He is plottting!
Tumblr media
Annnnd the second witness who will not state his name properly. lammmmoooo. Cody only answers to Mia and not to the prosecutor or defense. ahahaha.
Tumblr media
Pooor Edgeworth. His own words ate him. Be gentle he says as the defense may be horrible. ahahah.
