I loved Shadow Generations a ton for a lot of different reasons, but more than anything I was so happy to see the return of deeply emotionally repressed Team Dark throuple subtext

I wish she remembered the erased timeline where Omega waited for literally 200 years in the same spot to go save Shadow in the future. at her request even

^love the excessive overuse of hint-hint ellipses, all of them express emotional vulnerability like they're trying to pass a kidney stone

it's not quite reaching the heights of "I'm doomed to someday betray you, but the person I am today doesn't want that, so I'll warn you and you do what you need to do" or "even when everyone else turns against you, I'll still be there for as long as I'm alive", but we're getting there again a little bit

That Modern(ish) Tauverse AU where we have Nightmare and his four adoptive sons now has this lil collection of Bad Reference Doodles lol!

#tauverse #Heads up the sizing for the brothers is... inaccurate?#i mean. Horror does outgrow the rest of them but like. Dust + Killer look miniscule becayse they were my warm-ups haha!#Night still gets the halo in this one but only for Aesthetic Purposes (still just a manifestation of his magic)#Killer. the eldest + official heir to Night's Company? yeahhh he's punk/grunge. his best friend is the thrift store #and he wears a bunch of leather and spikes + belts + old shirts lol #Dust meanwhile lives in his hoodie + wears headphones all the time + tries to hide himself as much as possible #Dust has the Big Backpack full of a bunch of random supplies but also both his and Killer's school stuff.#Horror adopted the 'soft boy' aesthetic with light sweaters + earth tones + the shoulder bag w/ pins pretty early on #as he got bigger and broader he just... couldn't abandon the style.#and Cross is still just a lil guy. he wears a lot of comfy clothes + carries around his favorite stuffy on his #belt loop thanks to a carabiner #Night lets the boys choose their own outfits and behaviors so long as they don't get caught committing crimes. and so long as #they dress up a little for his Work Events #these are pretty much their continued aesthetics into adulthood. except Killer sometimes ditches the jackets and Dust adopts zipper hoodies #(also Dust's headphones are painted red. a gift from his deceased brother from when they were both very very little)#side note!!!#in the future? Killer *does* take on a bigger role in Night's company. but on the side he's a really passionate #chemical engineer. it's what he went to uni for.#Dust goes into building high-tech prosthetics after Killer's accident. though he always wanted to be a mechanical engineer so it's great!#Horror I think would find his passion in physics still. but it'd be used to work in a museum or interactive lab #he's like the guy they pull out to explain things to kids on fieldtrips or give talks to the community when stuff is going on!#then Cross? well. i think he still goes into literature. he's a damn-good author and seems like Night's least-successful kid intitally...#well. private investigator is his side gig. he researches into cases others won't take due to risks!#he's good at it lol.#OKAY. i'm done. i have to get back to work. i just had to post these lol

Useless Veilguard fact of the day: Day 13

You can use both the left and right stick of your controller to pick options on the dialogue wheel (and not just the left stick like it was in DAI).

Bonus fact: there is a limit on how many dialogue options can be on screen at the same time before the controller will stop responding. In the example below, which is achievable with my Multiple Factions for Rook Mod, you would be able to select dialogue options only using your mouse and/or keyboard.

I'm not even 15 minutes into rewatching Interstellar and I think there is a chance my imagination is running wild again . . .

I have at least half a loose fic plot already hELP.

#okay brace yourself these tags are gonna be long. sorry in advance. now picture this:#carlando are on earth. carlos goes on the mission to find a new home for humanity. lando stays behind and is upset about carlos leaving #the mission also includes oscar. martin is on earth and one of lando's friends who supports him while he's missing carlos #osc and carlos start on the wrong foot but get along more along the way. idk who else is on the mission use your imagination for now #yadda yadda space shenanigans . . . relativity . . . fun stuff #black hole time. carlos sacrifices himself to save osc so that he has a chance to find a new home for humanity #osc is devastated. carcar crumbs. they were all they had left for a while. and now osc is alone #carlos gets a message back to lando thanks to black hole magic. lando realizes that carlos never abandoned him at all.#lando leads the project to save humanity from earth w/ carlos' intel. once successful he goes on to live a long full life.#as much as he still loves carlos he knows that he might not come back until the very end of lando's life. if at all.#he knows carlos wouldn't want him to be alone and unhappy if he couldn't be there. norrix becomes canon and they have a happy life together #carlos is found many many years later virtually unaged thanks to relativity. he has a chance to say goodbye to lando who's very very old #he's happy that he helped save earth and that lando was able to have a good life. he missed so much time but at least it was worth it #there's just one more thing he feels the need to do. osc is still out there. on the planet that will be humanity's new home. all alone #he commandeers a ship and goes to find him. he has lost so much already . . . but he has a chance to hold onto at least one thing #he loved lando with his whole heart. and even though lando is gone . . . maybe he can still have a happy life of his own #*and scene*#yeah i think that's like half the plot right there . . .#i'm committing. it's going on the list #interstellar au #which at various times will feature:#carlando #norrix #carcar #this is one of my top 10 fave movies this project will definitely receive a lot of care

can't stop thinking about lila and nino's time in the shoe shop for no particular reason (lie), but she brought books to that shop... the whole affair started by the sea... the books, the shoes, the sea... all symbols of lila's childhood that have been morphed into something else, something eerie and adult, and she attached their original shape and meaning to nino, just like she has always done with elena, because he was supposed to be her way back to these things, if only indirectly, if only the small way she could possess them again existed in watching him have them. and i've mentioned this to mal the other day, but the heart of this relationship is based on a cruel contradiction: on one hand it is an attempt to reestablish childhood innocence (the books, the shoes, the sea in their original fairytale, dream-like form), but on the other hand it's overwhelmingly defined by adult themes like adultery and sex (melina and donato's relationship) it's a warped perspective on both childhood and adulthood ultimately. it's got the spirit of each right, but the motifs are all wrong, like they've crossed to the wrong side of the timeline. so, in many ways, nino, to lila, exists as both the essence of elena and rino, the gods of her childhood, and as the essence of marcello and stefano, figures tied to her brutal push into adulthood. and lila is already an extreme example of adult motifs crossing into childhood's territory so when nino appears, her understanding of sex and adultery hasn't been sugarcoated, but is rather present in, not the only possible form sex and adultery can exist in, but certainly in one of their truest forms, vulgar and dangerous in their banality. (thanks to stefano and melina and donato respectively) thanks to that, lila's relationship with nino can't be a new beginning because it's only a response to preexisting experiences and everything good about it is only good because it's better than something that happened before, but ultimately it stays within the circle it appears to be rebelling against.

#i think with elena and lila they do create a separate metaphysical space for their relationship #and lila and enzo are as elena puts it built on something good that comes from the neighbourhood #so in my mind they aren't breaking any cycles not in a widely understood way od the term anyways #but are rather nurturing something deeply rooted in both of them hoping it evolves into something beautiful instead #like lila lovessss what enzo accomplishes with his studies PRECISELY because of his background #essentially she loves nino for the same thing but the crucial difference is that nino can only be halfway successful in this #because he committed the crime of moving away as a child and because he refuses to accept anything associated with a part of that child tha #stayed in the ugliest parts of naples. the child that was there before he was born really #idk it's so big... the fact that nino ALMOST dies as he's leaving the neighbourhood #metaphor for his whole character. he almost isn't who he is he is almost born as someone else someone rich and privileged #and it's important how MELINA almost kills him. it manifests in his feelings for lila. the main reason #why he can't stand her is because she reminds him of where he comes from #l'amica geniale #dylanlila.mp3 #ferranteposting #lila cerullo 🫀
