Here’s Bubba and Allister Gator! Efficiency vs Inefficiency or something like that

Allister is currently my favorite design and Bubba stands as one of my favorite characters… I really just cant stand drawing these bald headed freaks (stares at icky, maggie, and picky)

Character summaries for Critterra AU under the cut!

Bubba Bubbaphant is the brain of the Smiling Critters. He’s analytical, bookish, awkward in that endearing way. He’s got a big heart, and helpful hand, despite his serious demeanor.

Bubba has a genuine desire in learning and understanding the world around him, and then sharing it with his friends. He’s practically got a book on just about everything, and tends to use a lot of big words the other Critters don’t really understand. Sometimes, he doesn’t fully understand them either.

Bubba’s pendant manifested from his Intelligence! His brain is always working towards the correct solutions, always trying to find that missing puzzle piece. Bubba doesn’t like unknown, and when an answer isn’t clear, he’ll stall and overthink about all the little “what ifs”.

Allister Gator is slow in every way. Slow to move, slow to speak, slow to care. He find no purpose in wasting the energy to do anything, and thats just how he likes it. Doing anything he can to do nothing at all.

Although, there is one thing Allister’s real good at, and it’s watching. Waiting, listening to people. You’d be impressed by all the things he hears, and more by what he remembers. Even Rabie Baby is jealous of his natural ability to just be in the know.

Allister could care less what his Pendant means, and believes when others tell him its from his Laziness. However in truth, it’s tied to his Pertinence. Some would go as far to say he’s too patient. Maybe it’s easier for him to be so patient, or maybe he’s all too familiar with that awful feeling of being rushed, and the things you miss out on when you let impatience get the best of you…

What astounds me about the whole "you need a pure human SOUL to perfect the serum" thing is that so many people take Chujin's conclusion at face value. Chujin Ketsukane? Chujin "Winner of the 'You Tried In Engineering' Award" Ketsukane? Chujin "Fumbled Inventing Robots So Hard He Earned The Ire Of The Usually Pretty Chill King" Ketsukane? Chujin "I Accidentally Killed A Human Child By Overshooting The Parameters On My Guard Robot" Ketsukane? That Chujin Ketsukane?

#undertale yellow #get reaaaaal.#get so reaaaaaaaal.#i know that people make his conclusion correct because they wanna bring Kanako back (even though she's not actually dead)#or something along those lines to make Ceroba's whole tunnel visioned scheme all feel worth it in the end #(even though her whole arc is about not being so caught up in the past and reaching out to the people around her)#but it doesn't feel right to me that the serum would work. it feels more like the point is that this whole affair was a harebrained #scheme cooked up by a paranoid and desperate man.#believe what you wanna believe but personally i don't think being pure of heart would've been the answer. i don't think #there's any way for a miracle serum to be conjured up like that.#also SOUL stuff has been shown to be more complicated than most people think. alphys thought that injecting determination #into Fallen Down monsters would make their SOULs persist after death and they ended up waking up then fusing into Amalgamates #tldr: i *personally* think that even if Ceroba got Clover's SOUL the serum still wouldn't have worked.#(edit: I'm not vagueing anyone btw. Speaking of dating sims, i had an idea of an x-men dating sim too. An au where the brotherhood is just a club with all the baddie mutants. Magneto would be the hardest teacher to date bc he would require so much shit to do for him. (Meanwhile Xavier would be a secret joke ending where he friend zones you bc he assumes your relationship is platonic and maybe if you do something special you can get his actual romantic ending. saw my life branching out before me like the green fig tree in the story. From the tip of every branch, like a fat purple fig, a wonderful future beckoned and winked. ok yk what. now that i’ve had some time to process nghy canon, considering the current pacing of gen retcon, i think their next step is as ✨clear as day✨

i really like seeing them happy together, but i truly do think that they should divorce and either live the rest of their lives as single besties; partners in hero/heroine-isms, but better off as just friends, or go their separate ways for a bit and get back together when they’re a little older and wiser, staying together for good this time around, as each other’s first and last boyfriend/girlfriend
