Boa tarde, pessoal! Como vocês estão? Espero que tudo em ordem por dentro,  por fora e por aí. 

Essa semana quero começar falando sobre a importância de entender o tempo. Não o tempo curto, que está entre hoje e amanhã, ou entre uma aula e outra. Mas o tempo longo, dos anos, décadas (sei que pra maioria de vocês, falar em décadas parece super exagerado, mas um dia elasse acumulam). O tempo é absolutamente necessário para nossa evolução, em todos os sentidos. As coisas na vida levam tempo.  E, apesar de podermos em certos casos acelerar esse tempo com truques, hacks ou atalhos, nem tudo se acelera. Uma planta germina e cresce no tempo que tem que levar. Um filhote se torna adulto em seu tempo, também. Um artista se forma ao longo da vida, de acordo com seu tempo e o tempo do mundo.

Estive imerso essa semana, mais uma vez, no projeto de republicar minhas primeiras HQs, lá do meu começo de carreira. Entre 2019 e 2020, comemoro 15 anos da criação do meu projeto de HQs, chamadas Pieces, e 10 anos da publicação das revistas independentes que traziam algumas dessas histórias. Esse lance de voltar a pensar nas coisas antigas, rever todo meu desenvolvimento ao longo dos anos, como artista e tbm como ser humano, mostra o quanto o tempo é crucial. Não adiantava eu querer ser melhor do que eu era na época, porque só o tempo me faria ser melhor. Muitas vezes, a gente fica incomodado com os resultados, querendo estar no nível 100 e tendo resultado de nível 10. É assim mesmo. Temos que entender que nem tudo é rápido, especialmente se não damos foco integral. Quem desenha s[o um pouco, só às vezes e não está imerso no assunto por bastante tempo, não evolui tão rápido.  E sabemos, também, que não dá pra ficar a vida inteira só pensando em desenho e desenhando. Tem mais vida acontecendo, muita coisa que demanda nossa atenção.

O foco é um fator importante nessa alquimia que faz o tempo gerar evolução. Se você quer fazer 20 coias, vai dividir seu foco e energia em 20 coisas. Se fizer só uma, tudo vai praquela uma coisa. Nem tanto lá, nem tanto cá: equilíbrio. Se você pode dedicar muito tempo a algo que ama, é natural que vc tenha uma experiência intensa e ganhe resultados bacanas em menos tempo. É um privilégio, uma honra! Use-os com carinho e gratidão. Sem foco de verdade, só o tempo não dá conta. Aí, tempo é só tempo.

Mas uma coisa que precisa estar associada ao tempo e ao foco, para que tal evolução aconteça, é o movimento. Movimento no sentido de fazer alguma coisa, qualquer coisa que seja um deslocamento físico ou mental em direção ao que você ama e quer fazer e desenvolver. Tempo nos ajuda a evoluir? sim. Foco nos ajuda a evoluir? Sim. Mas só isso não dá conta. Algo  precisa ser feito, e produzir é a resposta. Não precisa, claro, ser tudo sempre obra-prima ou estudo. Mas se você quer desenhar, ser artista, evoluir em tudo que se liga a essa experiência, precisa estar em constante movimento. Só com resultados podemos processar as informações, as experiências, os erros e acertos. Não tem como aprender e melhorar sem fazer as coisas.

Entendam essa relação como algo inevitável. Ninguém que é excelente no que faz chegou lá em pouco tempo sem foco e produção. Tem que ter combustível, paixão mesmo, pra continuar em frente apesar dos resultados insatisfatórios que podem aparecer no caminho. É assim mesmo. Tem gente no mundo que é prodígio, que parece ser excelente desde cedo? Uai, tem. O que nos diferencia delas? Se pudermos entender esses contextos e relações, as coisas ficam um pouco mais claras, e a frustração e tvz até culpa que sentimos por não sermos tão bons quanto queremos possam diminuir - ou até sumir. Pense em exemplos como o Slash, guitarrista incrível dos Guns n Roses. Ele é bom? Muito. E diz a lenda que ele ficava 12 horas por dia estudando e tocando guitarra quando era jovem. Mas acusto do quê? Vida social, experiências reais, estudo na escola...? E você, estaria disposto a abrir mão de tanta coisa pra mergulhar de verdade em algo?

Temos que abrir mão de algumas coisas para poder ocupar nossa vida com essas coisas que amamos (aqui eu falo basicamente de desenho, mas pode ser qualquer outra coisa, esporte, gastronomia, dança,música, poesia, etc). Prodígios como Mozart,que compunha e tocava em público com 5 anos de idade? Sim, existem. Mas qual a condição? Não é justo se comparar com situações absolutamente diferentes: época, recursos, incentivos, exemplos, método, disciplina, etc...Bom, não quero dizer com isso que vocês precisam largar de tudo e só desenhar. Eu sei que a vida é complexa e muita coisa não depende só da gente. Mas dá pra tentar refletir sobre as coisas, seja pra ver onde e como podemos agir mais ativamente pra nossa evolução como artistas, seja pra entender e estar em paz com as coisas como são, em vez de ficar mal porque tem X pessoas que são melhores que vc lá fora...Cada coisa no seu tempo.Mas com ação ativa para ir em frente. Sem inércia.Vim pensando muito nisso porque o livro meio que me convida a fazê-lo, não tem como fugir: são anos e anos, páginas e páginas, sentimentos demais. Esse livro vai ter HQs antigas,que quase ninguém viu (e são ruins, pros meus padrões atuais, mas eram boas pra época, hehe), coisas do meio do caminho e coisas novas. O que isso evidencia é que os mais de 15 anos pensando, fazendo, estudando, ensinando, consumindo e amando quadrinhos  me levaram ao artista que sou hoje. E toda a vida "real" em torno disso colaborou. É bom saber, a vida importa muito pra um artista, faz parte do caminho. Tudo é uma coisa só, uma simbiose muito doida. Demora pra completar o quebra-abeça, porque as peças não vêm todas prontas e disponíveis. Algumas peças aparecem só depois de muito tempo, e talvez você nem consiga encaixá-la ainda. Algumas peças se perdem no caminho, pra serem encontradas tempos depois, meio baqueadas, ama que ainda servem pra completar quem nós somos.

Esse livro novo deve entrar em financiamento coletivo no Catarse em breve. Eu aviso vocês! Vai ser muito massa e é muito importante pra mim como autor porque completa um ciclo muito especial no meu trabalho.

(Além dessa jornada toda, eu também fiquei pensando em tempo porque meu monitor está praticamente morrendo aqui, e fui perceber que o tenho desde 2009. Estava organizando alguns action figures, tirei uns pra vender, e vi que tenho itens de mais de 20 anos. O liquidificador quebrou, era presente de casamento, de quase 5 anos. O bule da cafeteira também, estava comigo desde que me mudei pra esse apê, 10 anos atrás. O tempo passa para as coisas também. Renovar, por motivos diversos, faz bem. Revisitar, relembrar e re-sentir, mas não ressentir.

E vida que segue, porque o tempo passa rápido demais, já é quinta de novo e eu estou escrevendo faz 20 minutos para vocês.

But mainly our issue is always thinking in the Big Picture, that one comes with Perfect Project, Perfect Teammates, Perfect Environment, and also we want to eat the entire cake just in one bite. Step one, find a notebook @moleskine and start writing your ideas and if you do it with a fountain pen like @montblanc success is guaranteed. Step two, take one or two of those ideas that could be achieved with your current budget. If you will require help from others, come on don't hesitate for asking for help. Everybody wants to be part of making something special. Step three, already got your product, got teammates, so it's time to build MVP - Minimum Valuable Project; hell yeah, but what is that. Well, my dear Watson is writing the minimum assets, functionalities, and requirements that your project may need for start to bring profits. Everybody wants to be a Digital Nomad, indeed, is freaking amazing; but when you have so many years working as a Developer, Designer, Software Engineer; Remote Position Jobs, and sometimes, be in control of your time; yeah mates; is incredible, and knowing how awesome you're is like living in a Champagne Supernova @oasis @themightyi . But everything has colors, shapes, and textures; quoting my preferred character on a colossal theatre masterpiece @teatronuevaera @castor.indigo . Tired, but basically because you cannot have those wonderful moments with your peers; having some coffee or beer, teammates birthdays, is just about having more human interaction and be part of a crew . Also, when you become a Digital Nomad, usually companies treat you like a machine, and if you want to be successful you must get out and be creative and think outside the box . You know what, I am just exhausted, wanna, no no no, more precise, I wish to be part of something bigger, better, and greater; I dream to be sitting on the giants shoulders . Is all about the challenge and having the opportunity and possibilities of working on Research and Development Environments, and why not, getting my PhD . A long time in a Galaxy far away @starwars @disney I've been busy, also trying to understand what happened last week; isn't easy, is just human behavior, I'm not ill, by the way, just freaking awesome . Received an email from a huge Asian company who wanted to hire me as a Mobile Software Engineer for their Research and Development Department . Everyone who knows me, mainly, ma copine et fiancée @idaniamvalero, know that I got hands-on experience in R&D environments, mainly, don't allow to managers treat developers and designers as they were machines @mldcmu @shelovesdata @becreatives . I believe into the creative and innovative potential that is present into each one of us, I don't want @people @peoplewhocode craps instant solutions like awful @nescafe . Summarizing, amazing proposal, great location, drop dead gorgeous offices, and working in R&D, hell yeah mate, where I sign @montblanc @parkerpen @lamy_official Waterman @theinkscribe . Interviewed by Human Resources, R&D Senior and Manager, coding test @codinglife.tv was so beautiful that I felt like Chopin playing the piano; final count down, future teammates, everything was great, but one question was really uncomfortable, wasn't about Mobile Development, even to R&D, simply, they pretend that I memorized all @android @google SDK and NDK . Finally, I was rejected. Thanks mate for the opportunity, I am glad for your great attention and honesty, but regarding the last interview, if you're seeking innovative and creative solutions, you will fail if you pretend doing it with machines . Finally, I encourage you to try the latest version of the @ionicframework, but remember, a great @android developer only use and build Native Applications . By the way, I want to share a couple of thoughts.
