after my post yesterday about not sharing viral videos of "dancing dogs" because they're just videos of animals dying slowly of agonizing neurological disease I tried typing "canine distemper" into tumblr search and discovered another one of those weird little heatsinks of tumblr spam. 99% of the posts in the tag/search category (the latter actually, the tag itself doesn't seem to work/is blocked) were spam, mostly 0-note chatGPT rambling with unclear goals either for SEO or for sales. a lot of Indian spam in particular is on Tumblr, as well as either fake or real veterinary clinics posting filler articles about pet topics. none of this stuff gets any engagement and most of it seems to be referral dead ends, eg, it doesn't have any links out that are being clicked by either humans or crawlers, but I find it everywhere.
porn spam is very straightforward by comparison, porn bots are trying to farm leads in the form of live men who reply to them and can be added to databases of live leads, or they want conversions into account signups or sales off-site. sometimes actual adult content creators are doing their own marketing here and again the goals of their advertising is normal, and other times porn ads are malware or social account hijacking bait etc. but the generic marketing slop spam that comes up for terms like "canine distemper" is a little more puzzling.
I think some of these blogs are probably being used inside web templates off Tumblr to just host content elsewhere on the web, but as far as I'm aware thats not really a standard website building technique, most people just use a blog template or WordPress or something. if you go on the Black Hat World forum you'll find plenty of buying and selling of established accounts in good standing on various socials, either through hacked accounts or accounts that have been deliberately created and then farmed over months or years to look as real as possible, but Tumblr accounts aren't really in demand as far as I'm aware
I don't think it's particularly interesting and definitely not sinister, it's likely a case of lost automated processes or some sort of testing of marketing generators that's just using Tumblr as the planting bed.

Ra-on woke up with a headache that threatened to burst their head from the inside, a queasy stomach, and a spine that would shatter if it twisted any tighter. Their knees ached from kneeling on them all night with only Minhyeok as a buffer between them and the ground.
They shrugged their shoulder to jostle Minhyeok – who had seemingly chosen to use it as his pillow in return – awake.
“What time is it?” They asked with their groggy voice.
“I'm not sure,” Minhyeok replied just as tired, mumbling into their shoulder. “I left my phone in the room when I decided to check on you.”
Ra-on groaned. “We need to get back to Seo-jūn. He'll be scared if he wakes up alone in an unfamiliar place.” Not to mention how careless it was to leave such a young child alone in general.
Ra-on tried to move their sore, tired legs to stand up, but doubled over instead. They didn't know it when they thought to stand, but they were still connected to Minheyok.
“I wouldn’t let you pull out, would I?”
They could vaguely recall what they did during their heat. It wasn't the same as being blackout drunk where everything the previous night was a surprise, but more similar to watching a perfect clone of yourself lose their inhibitions then being forced to watch them live in your place.
His cheeks turned flush. “You were afraid that you would leak…”
They vaguely recalled saying that.
“So… no condoms?”
Minhyeok looked away in humiliation.
“Yeah. That's about what I expected.” They took a deep breath, held it, then exhaled so strongly that it almost sounded like they wanted to yell. “Quick shower then we sneak into bed before Seo-jūn wakes up? Maybe some PG cuddling under the covers while we catch a nap?”
Ra-on looked up at him with a twinkle in their eye and he knew he couldn’t deny them.
He leaned down slightly to kiss their forehead. “We can stay here tomorrow – er, today – if you need to nest.”
“I don't feel like nesting, actually.” It was strange. It was as if the only heat symptom they had was a (in comparison) brief stint of extreme horniness. Otherwise, it was a rather uneventful phenomenon. “I'd rather show you and Seo-jūn around and introduce you to some of the people you haven't met yet. Maybe Tartaros or Niflheim. The devils there are friendly enough… mostly.”
Minhyeok smiled. “Wherever you want.”
Ra-on gave him a pout back. “No. I've done this all before. This is your and Seo-jūn's first time. If there's something you want to do, we should do that first.”
“I want to meet the people who took care of you while you were away.” He paused. “Again, apparently.”
Ra-on stopped to think.
“We should see Lucifer in Paradise Lost then. He can check on you and Seo-jūn to make sure you're both holding up okay. Plus, I don't think you two officially met before so maybe it'll feel less awkward for you.”
“If you think that's for the best.”
He smiled at them but they did not feel assured. They wanted Minhyeok to feel comfortable in Hell and to be accepted as readily – actually, even more so – as they were.
“Have an opinion,” they said as they rolled their eyes and gently smacked his chest.
“Ow,” he exaggerated as he grabbed the spot they had hit. “I didn't think you would ever abuse me like this. You know that it's a crime to abuse your spouse, right?”
They puff their cheeks out in a small pout. “In Hell, I'm allowed to do whatever I want. No one will protest.”
“So the entirety of Hell would be against me?”
Their puffed cheeks deflated and were replaced by a wide grin. “Ppyong may show you mercy, but don't count on it.”
“Then it seems my only option is to bride you so you don't have a reason to turn Hell against me.” He wrapped his arms around their waist and kissed the side of their face. “Will you show me mercy if I help you wash up?”
“I'll consider it.”
“My spouse is very generous.”
But enough banter was enough. They were both aware that they had to both wash themselves off and return to Seo-jūn before he realized they were gone. It was difficult for Ra-on to be so close to a naked Minhyeok and not be allowed to go at least one more round. Now that they were more sober, it felt unfair that they had to look at their handsome husband without being allowed to feel him inside of them at least once more. But they didn't stray.
Once the two were finished, they had Minhyeok help them replace their collar, dressed themselves, and snuck their way through the corridors of the palace to return to their shared room. Minhyeok only opened the door a crack to see if Seo-jūn was still asleep in his bed. He was, so the two of them crept in on tip-toe and crawled into bed as quietly as they could. Seo-jūn never stirred.
