Iza’s Yearly Big BJD Lineup 2024 :: 72 BJDs from 81cm down to 12cm (+ pets!)

About time I posted my yearly big lineup of dolls from 2024!

This year the lineup expanded to 72 different BJDs, including pet and blind box dolls. I set up and photographed 13 individual lineups on December 29th, 2024, and spent the next day sorting the multitude of images, narrowing it down to the best ones, which I then edited (correcting lighting, lens warping, colors, etc...) and manually lined up and merged in Affinity Photo 2. I think what took the longest was the labeling of the sculpts, and I know there are still a few spelling mistakes in there, but I am not up for correcting them anymore. At least I finished it still in time for 2024.

I excluded 5 resin BJDs and like 90% of the blind boxones as they were either twins, or too similar configurations. We actually have a few other types of Blind Box BJDs, but I was too tired to keep taking pictures. Also my 6 year old niece was over and she was getting restless (she wanted to go to the park next to our building). She also kept bumping into my tripods, which lead to me needing to adjust those photos more in the post-edits. Love my niece dearly, and I got some cute pics of her in the Lineup too.

Anyway... if you want certain dolls compared from this lineup, please drop me a comment and I will do it, but only with up to 6 dolls as I am low on spoons. I can also undress them for the mini comparisons, I just can't and won't for the big lineup. Some of my dolls have to be unstrung to get out of their outfits, and I am not that dedicated to this lineup process.

Head and body sculpts are listed in the images under each doll, along with the height. I will just tag a few of the companies, but not the sculpt names.

I never got to put it in any writing because then you would have to convert it to how people in warhammer would talk about an ancient dog breed but the legs of a great dane puppy too.

One day someone told me for fun that Chrysalis and Ruby looks similar as siblings. Today I suddenly remembered about it and wanted to sketch them together for comparison.

Okay, I'm not sure that they similar. Probably I would compare Ruby to Sombra. Both is evil, fangy and dark and Ruby has unicorn blood technically. But Chrysalis is bug queen and has different motives than "just pure evil" as I remember.

p.s. if Chrys is queen then Ruby is queer lol

Iza’s Yearly Big BJD Lineup 2023 :: 64 BJDs from 81cm to 12cm (+ pets!)

I finally got around to doing my yearly big BJD lineup in December 2023, für hounding my sister for over a year to give me my two doll bodies back.

This was a 3 day ordeal (2 days of shooting images, and another day of editing, combining, and labeling), but I’m glad I got it done. In total I manually merged 12 photos. 

I excluded 4 dolls, 3 have identical doubles (head and body combos) and 1 was too similar to another (only a different head, but same company head and body combo), so I didn’t feel the need to add them. I also did not add a doll I gifted my wife for Christmas as she hadn’t gotten her yet when I did the lineup. She’ll be included in next year’s lineup though!

If anybody wants specific dolls from above compared (dressed or nude), please let me know and I’ll try to do it in the next week! I can’t do the whole lineup nude as I do not have the energy nor the ambition for that. It was intensive enough to just do them dressed, because I do this without help…

Anyway, I hope this is helpful to at least one person out there!

I’m not gonna tag all the doll sculpts in the lineup, that would just take too long, but I will add a couple of companies in the tags at least.

tommy loves horses of course, and there's a lot going on there (re trauma), but he has a pretty utilitarian view on them most of the time; it's not as much of an affectionate relationship to the animals as i think fandom seems to believe. there's also rather a greater symbolic meaning in general to him than bonding himself emotionally to a single horse, the way it tends to be with most horsey narratives

Ci si sveglia come dei soldati stanchi che non hanno mai combattuto per se stessi , con il peso di armature che non proteggono , ma schiacciano.

Genitori, insegnanti, amici, società: tutti con la misura pronta, tutti con l’ago in mano.

Tutti pronti a stabilire quale sia il vero valore dell’esistenza.

Per non parlare del peso delle responsabilità, come se vivere fosse un debito da saldare.

Responsabilità verso il lavoro, verso la famiglia , verso un futuro di cui non si sente di voler far parte.

…E poi un giorno ci si rende conto che forse si può evadere da questo carcere invisibile, fatto di abitudini , giudizi e consensi .

Forse basta avere il coraggio di disubbidire al sistema, avere il coraggio di dire No, dove prima si diceva “Certo”.

Avere il coraggio di restare in silenzio , dove non c’è possibilità di ascolto e dialogo.

Smettere di correre e riscoprire la lentezza, la meraviglia delle piccole cose, la bellezza di non sapere tutto , ma di riuscire a Sentire tutto.

Sarebbe bello ritrovare la vera natura umana, smetterla di essere solamente degli automi senza sentimenti.

Sarebbe bello ricominciare a stupire , a creare , provare, cercare e perché no anche sbagliare , amare e finalmente Essere.

BEN doesn't care about appearances. The Moon Children have some preferences, but attractions are a fleeting feeling. Having those chummy feelings is an insecurity they'd rather not think about. Plus, they're too judgmental. BEN sees themselves above everybody.

BEN is never seeking anyone out romantically (aroace), so it doesn't have an ideal partner in mind. They have a few qualities they tend to lean towards. Ultimately, it depends on how much they enjoy messing with you, for how long you can last, and what they can gain from you. It has to be someone who has decent mental fortitude and has an interesting personality. There needs to be a good middle ground; can't be too meek or too hardheaded.
