Synopsis: Az watches you get ready for an event. He's never seen the process before and is extremely taken by it. It feels so personal to him and he can’t explain it.

He’d never known an intimacy so sweet. It’d likely become an injury he’d carry afterwards when it came to an end.

A taste of domesticity he didn’t even realize he’d been missing out on.

Hours left for the gala they’d be attending, and you were getting ready. The sweetness of watching it unfold was meditative. A window to your most private hours, so glaringly personal that it felt like a sampling of commitment.

He looked forward to this—it quickly became Azriel’s favourite part of the day. All his to savour.

He’d known yearning, he’d known the sex. Had pined over Mor for centuries, pictured a life with her, ached for the void he felt. Coveted pretty females, kept lovers to satiate himself. He was well versed in admiration from afar, but never been privy to the process where a female sat in front of a vanity and readied herself.

And somehow, this felt more intimate than all the rest.

You’d been hesitant about attending the long-haul mission when you learned it would just be you and the guys, but Azriel and his brothers consciously accommodated you right from the start. Before the various dinners and galas, Cassian would train until the very last moment to avoid making you feel rushed. He’d come in 15 minutes before the time to leave, throw on a suit and make some snippy joke about his exhaustive beautifying process. Rhys would be in and out of the room, ensuring all arrangements were taken care of, then savour his time getting ready which actually was exhaustive.

Azriel? He always had reports to go over that kept him strictly in the room. Kept him where he could sink into the luxury of watching your routine unfold.

Fools envied those who found mates for the companionship, the physical intimacy, the assurance of partnership. That’d been what Azriel ruminated on when he watched Rhys love Feyre, Cassian love Nesta. A fool indeed, because he’d never even considered this side of things.

It put entire fantasies in his head. How it would feel to have this routine with you—where you were his. He’d be watching it all happen from his bed. You’d be this comfortable in his room. Take up space in his life. A life where this was his to claim.

Even Mor—all his years of aching for her—any overlapping missions, and she’d kept him from seeing this side of her. There was truly no instance where he’d been let in this way. No relationship or lover where he got to see and learn it.

He’d been memorizing it. It was always a bath first that you’d come out of smelling intoxicating. Gleaming skin beneath a thin dressing robe that ended above your knees. It took a while for you to feel comfortable sitting in the shared room in just your robe, but it took Azriel even longer to be normal about it. To rid himself of thoughts about what stayed on underneath it, or what wasn’t on at all. He didn’t miss the blush that coloured your cheeks when you’d come out, from the heat of the bath or the awareness of your undress. A blush that Azriel matched when he’d look elsewhere, trying to avoid discomforting you, to avoid letting Cassian or Rhys notice his attentiveness.

Next was the dressing table component, where you were currently seated. Your robe sinfully inched up your legs when you lifted your arms to fuss over your hair. Arranging pins into various places. The focus in your eyes he’d catch in the mirror made the thoughts eddy out of Azriel’s brain.

So, so pretty.

A pinch between your brows as it slowly fell into place right. It took a week before you began comfortably playing your symphonia during the routine. Quietly, even though Rhys insisted it didn’t bother anyone. Azriel shuffled his papers, listening to the music that you faintly hummed along to. A breath of feminine exasperation left you that drew his eyes up—you were done with the hair. Tired from the effort.

Azriel bit back a smile at the labour of it all.

His favourite part was next—the cosmetics. Face creams first. A little perfume oil roller down the length of your pretty throat. Intention behind every brushstroke on your skin. Precision in shading beneath cheekbones. He shamelessly looked up to catch the part where you smiled at your reflection to set the rouge on the apples of your cheeks. Looked away again.

Kohl smudged into your lash line. Smaller brushes to sweep pigment on your eyelids. You didn’t notice his glimpses, too focused on the accuracy. A miniature comb you applied to your lashes, brushing upward and coating them black.

Your most beautiful feature, those hypnotic eyes.

He listened carefully for the click when you opened your lip rouge. He glutinously watched you apply colour to your sensuous mouth.

What he’d give to feel that motion he witnessed, the drag forward and back across your lips beneath the pressure of the rouge. The plush he could see—could practically feel. Colour he could envision smudging prettily with his thumb.

He cast his gaze down again. A composing deep breath, nearly shuddering.

Rhys cleared his throat, making Azriel’s head snap to him where he was sitting at the desk. He’d been getting dressed. Azriel didn’t even notice he’d sat down. A hateful smirk pulled the corners of Rhys’s mouth up. Azriel glared, returning his focus to his reports.

You admired your completed work, checking the presentation from various angles. Azriel would stare at the angel in the vanity too if it weren’t for his bastard brother making silent insinuations to his side.

He was spared when Cassian entered the room, looking at you, and releasing an inflated sigh of relief. “Thank God. We can let you out into the public again.”

You laughed mirthfully. “I’d say the same about you, Cass, but you could use a little work.”

He only approached you, crowding your space. “Can I get some of that?” he nodded to your products.

You laughed again, scooting for him to unceremoniously squish at your side on the tiny bench. You dolloped something onto your fingers, twisting to smear it onto his face, grinning.

“Azriel wants some too,” Rhys chimed in.

His heart faltered.

You glanced back, meeting Azriel’s gaze, brows high. He had to clench his jaw to keep down any reaction. Your beauty stunned him, and whatever Rhys was playing at, whatever you were going to do—

He was too startled by the suggestion to think to deny it. Too late, he realized, his silence implied agreement.

Somewhat bashfully, you rose in answer, product in hand.

Azriel remained frozen as you approached him. Both his brothers watched, but all he could care about was the homecoming he felt when you sat next to him on the bed.

Did you have any idea how profoundly personal it felt?

That feeling of Déjà vu befell him again—whatever version of this domesticity existed in another life where this was his. You were indeed on his bed, more bare than not. About to touch him like he was all yours.

That part bore the most truth, in this life and whatever other lives he was getting visions of.

You sat close enough that the skin of your knee tested his focus. It was just moisturizer that you’d squeezed onto your fingertips, but God did it feel like something precious, or maybe it was the sense of reverence you put into anything you touched. He held his breath as you raised your hand and gently smudged the cream across his cheekbones.  

Azriel felt like a teenager all over again, heart soaring at the tenderness.

Eyes focused, you leaned closer. Your other hand came up to gently cradle his face, thumbs stroking the product more intently into his skin. He hoped you couldn’t hear his heart as you stroked across his cheek a third time. Warm and soft. Azriel savoured the proximity. How even more devastating you looked up close.

“There,” he felt your breath softly puff onto his cheek. You retracted your hands, bracing yourself on his bed.

“Thank you,” he muttered lowly. The two of you remained for a beat. This time, Azriel didn’t try to hide his stare.

You finally broke it, seeming to recall the intrusive observation of your viewers. You rose, heading to the bathroom.

He couldn’t care less about his brothers’ prying eyes. Not with your warmth still sinking into his skin.

So, so familiar.

When the bathroom door finally opened, he snapped out of his thoughts. You’d changed into your gown. Your eyes found his immediately, chin marginally dipping under his gaze. He noted your slight shiver, and he allowed himself to wonder if you too felt the strange air. Charged with false nostalgia.

You only shook it off, smiling at him.

He felt it prickling again as he drank in the sight of you. Like flashbacks from another future. Something in his chest tightened. Likely the injury of tasting this domesticity already setting in, it seemed.

He only smiled back.

He’d figure it out later.

Like the Cold War, There would not be a direct fight between 2 parties (I doubt they would be actually a physical fight since Vox, Valentino and Velvette aren't fighter or tanks-they're mages).They will use information as their bullet and Media as their gun.

With what happened in season 1 they might use the footage from the fight to provoke or encourage sinners to fight back against Heaven. They could use Lilith’s resistance campaign, with Charlie leading her friends in a fight against Adam and Lucifer come to the rescue at the end, proving that Hell’s royalty is on their side.

Not only that they can show that there are 3 Overlord support this idea by given their help to Charlie

There has been a hint about this agenda since Season 1, Episode 3. Velvette didn't care who killed an angel she wanted to provoke all the Overlords in that meeting to fight. Why? Because if they win, the Vees can claim it was their idea. But if they lose, the Vees will be the last ones standing since they didn’t actually want to participate (as seen in Season 1, Episode 8). This way, they can take power from those who were defeated.

In the worst-case scenario, With Hotel incident and Exorcist army has been defeat. Heaven might hold Lucifer responsible, since he is the King and he supposed to keep his people in check. Meanwhile, the Vees won’t lose anything. They are smart and can manipulate their way out of trouble, ensuring the future of Hell belongs to them.

About Velvette unhealthy obsession with Vaggie in season 2 from your previous posts.

My thought in Velvette obsession in Vaggie is She want Vaggie for herself as an exotic pet for her content (like a spoiled influencer) . Since Vaggie being an angel is no longer a secret, and angels are not a common beings in Hell, this mean Vaggie is like a rare-expensive-exotic animal from different habitat. Velvette could make a lot of content from her and possibly draw attention from creepy-rich demos who like collecting rare things-similar to how Americans and Europeans in the 19th century displayed their cabinets of curiosities.

From Helluva Boss Season 1 Episode 5 ; A genuine Carmine-Crafted Blessing-Tipped Rifle; The Bold word is the part that use angelic steel. In this episode, The antagonist of this episode use this rifle to kill Stolas which is a high class demon ; A prince from a Goetia which can't be killed by normal weapon.

but because if she decide to act out not only she showing to Vaggie that she think Vaggie is not strong enough to protect herself and also show that she have a close relationship with an angel and It will put her in a tough spot.

Velvette can use this as an opportunity to attack Charlie and ruin Charlie's reputation.

Charlie is the Princess of Hell, yet she wouldn't even able to protect her girlfriend from harm and media, while Velvette swoops in as the "hero."(The Vees are two faced; they act differently depending on who they're dealing with.) Vaggie, being sensible, would immediately suspect Velvette has an agenda behind her kindness, but with all cameras on her, she wouldn't be able to react too strongly.

Since the truth about Vaggie being an exorcist angel is now public, she has to act non-threatening as possible-otherwise, people might start seeing her as a danger because it's not good for hotel business which it a service-minded.

As the hotel manager, she is the face of the hotel, meaning she has to maintain a calm and collected image.(In the animatic from Season 2 that was official released, we see her trying to handle the reporters in civilized way.) She has to stay composed to prevent any damage to the hotel's reputation.

Charlie, on the other hand, has anger issues. Velvet would use it to provoking her like how Vaggie was the main one handling the training, and if they discuss how they got all the weapons , Charlie could be seen as a bad and controlling partner-someone who sent her girlfriend into a tiger's den to get weapons to fight against her own kind, former comrades included (Every one seen it from Vox's spy drone footages)

She might badmounth Charlie while praising Vaggie infront of both of them, playing on her self-hatred. Velvette could tell Vaggie how brave and dedicatied she is, How Charlie take Vaggie for granted and Charlie is just using her for convenience as a sacrificial lamb-only to abandon her once she becomes useless.

Vaggie obviously wouldn't buy it and try to separate Charlie from Velvette or tell her to keep a cool head , but like what happened in "You didn't know" Charlie would ignore and try to argue. However, Velvette would twist her words and use them against her, causing Charlie to start doubting herself. As her frustration grows, it would eventually lead to an outburst. Possibly, Velvette would use Charlie's ex-boyfriend to add fuel to the fire via social media.

I am thinking too much . Maybe Velvette has her obsession with Vaggie because she don't want to left alone when Vox and Valentino have their obsession with Alastor and Angel and she have none. Since both of them have a similar height, looks perfect as a Goth ,possibly the youngest of the gang and the sensible one. She just want to drag Vaggie everywhere for shopping sprees and makeovers, similar to the Regina and Cady dynamic in Mean Girls.

Also I really like your fic; Unholy. When I read to a part Angel told Charlie about Velvette and Odette something come to my mind. I really want to draw short comic about it but sadly I have school work to do.

I like the ideas you're throwing out there! The Vees using politics and manipulation tactics to get the upper hand against the Hotel falls in line with what I expect too. I'm not sure about the lack of fighting though. The Vees are still overlords, and according to the show's lore owning souls makes a demon more powerful right? I don't think they lack raw power at all. Valentino said Alastor and Vox fought each other before he disappeared, and it looks like Alastor had a hard time in that fight. The fact that Alastor's victory against Vox was inconclusive must say a lot about Vox's strength at least.

The angel thing when it comes to Vaggie and Velvette is an angle I totally agree with. Something that i want -- though not necessarily something I'm sure is possible -- is for Vaggie and Velvette's encounters to happen because of Charlie's need to advertise her Hotel. Getting the Overlord of social media to help out would be a great advantage, and Vaggie could be the one talking to Velvette the most about it since she's the Hotel Manager. So while Charlie is busy with plot things, Vaggie would be left with a lot of alone time with Velvette, who will notice Charlie's neglect and use this to swoop in.

(Also. Super small thing. But if Charlie being 200+ and Vaggie having died in her twenties in the 2010's is still canon, that would mean she's around Velvette's age biologically AND chronologically and won't it be funny to see Velvette say Charlie's too old for Vaggie lol Don't tell me she wouldn't reach and stoop that low bcuz she totally would)

Now that I've been thinking about Kusuke more, I think I can better articulate what makes Kusuke different from Makoto.

My latest understanding is that while Makoto doesn't think he's doing anything wrong and wants to escalate his involvement with his sister, there's a lot of evidence that Kusuke is actually trying to END his weird fascination with his brother and shift to a normal sibling relationship.

To support this theory, I'm gonna roughly describe Kusuke's appearances / timeline and what I think his motivations were.

Obviously this all starts when Kusuo is born. Pretty normal sibling rivalry for a while, though it escalates as they both get older and stronger and their parents don't stop them.

Kusuke creates the limiters. One limiter was supposed to stop Saiki's powers while inserted, and the other one was to keep Kusuo hostage for their games. I believe Kusuke thought that by suppressing Kusuo's powers, he could establish the "proper" hierarchy of older brother beating younger brother. But it wouldn't be a complete win for him without beating Saiki at full power, so the second limiter ensures Saiki will still compete with him. Kusuke's trying to get better at games and fighting, so he's thinking that if he can beat Kusuo with the limiter in, then he just has to train until he can beat Kusuo with the limiter out.

Up till this point, there's no evidence that there was any sexual component going on. And conveniently, right as he would be hitting puberty, Kusuke high-tailed it to Cambridge. At this time he still thought that by working with other scientists, they could figure out how to completely remove Kusuo's powers.

After that, Kusuke doesn't make an appearance until Kusuo goes to him about the broken limiter. He's left cameras all over the Saiki house which is bizarre and wrong, but to be slightly fair to him, he grew up without any privacy due to Telepathy, so it kinda makes sense. And technically if something went wrong with Kusuo, Kusuke is the only person who could help, so it would make sense that he should keep an eye on things. Still fucked, but he's not exactly an ethical guy overall.

Once Kusuo needs his help, Kusuke tests to see if he can finally beat Kusuo conclusively. He hasn't done this since he left Japan, and it's actually entirely possible that this is the first time that he ever reacted like that to a loss. Still, despite apparently having the best time of his life, he's annoyed enough by the next morning to bully Nendo and Kaido for no reason. Perhaps he realized that his excitement was messed up??

After this, Kusuke doesn't show up again for a while, except to warn Kusuo and their parents that there was a defective part in the limiter. The fact that Kusuo accidentally screwed up the past and met the WWIII AU Dr. Kusuke isn't technically Kusuke's fault and was definitely not his intention.

Almost every single Kusuke appearance after this point is directly related to The Final Game, in which Kusuke will defeat Kusuo in a super epic battle and then cement his dominance forever (and destroy the rivalry / humiliation kink potential) by slam-dunking the power deleter into Kusuo's brain.

Kusuke's next appearance is scamming his grandpa. Not very nice, but I think he was actually testing how much his grandpa loves him before moving in with his grandparents and launching his "elderly robot gang" plan of attack on Kusuo. Notice that his grandmother, who Kusuke likes better and brings gifts for, doesn't get put in a robot suit later on, she gets eternal youth like she wanted (well, at least Kusuke's best shot at it). But Grandpa was definitely going to be used against Kusuo as a hostage and to Kusuke it's justified because his Grandpa doesn't love him.

The elderly robot gang plan is revealed and fails, so Kusuke has to think of some other way to defeat Kusuo in a super cool matter.

In the next new year's chapter, both Kusuke and Teruhashi show up at the Saiki household. It's not clear why Kusuke showed up (perhaps he just wanted to hang out with his family and mess with Kuniharu), but he does seem to test whether Teruhashi could be good hostage material - the grandpa plan failed and we know he later recruits Toritsuka. Luckily for Teruhashi, she's able to prove that she is NOT to be messed with, so that's another angle that's been shut down.

Next Kusuke sends the birthday bomb trials. This is explicitly to measure Kusuo's strength as Kusuke comes up with the perfect counter weapons. He's not trying to kill Kusuo after all, and later he actually gets nervous that the cat tank blast might be too powerful.

Then there's the KochiKame parody chapter, where Kusuke has a little fun getting Kuniharu his job back. No attempts to mess with Kusuo in this one and they interact super normally.

Then Warp the robot cat debuts. Since roboticizing humans didn't work for him, it seems Kusuke is going all-in on developing robots with as much functionality stuffed into them as possible. While Warp also serves as a gift for Kurumi, I think its also a step towards developing Kusuomega.

Ok there's also a chapter where Kusuke tries to get his grandma to divorce his grandpa. Just Kusuke being an asshole lol.

Kusuomega appears!! Since Kusuke's original plan was to throw a bunch of robot old people at Kusuo, it makes sense to test whether throwing a bunch of normal robots at Kusuo would work. Yeah, making Kusuomega lick his shoes is fucking bizarre and making him "fully featured" is also messed up. But Kusuke does also have to prove that he's willing and able to make Kusuomega do freaky shit at Kusuo's school to "properly motivate" Kusuo to fight back at full power. Kusuke puts a lot of effort into ensuring Kusuo doesn't half-ass their games and fights, going all the way back to the installation of the limiters.

Kusuomega was easily defeated, but instead of making more robots, Kusuke realizes he can use Toritsuka as both a weapon and a hostage. He immediately gets to work on that.

Then the cat tank arc, The Final Game. Kusuke was going to win Once And For All.

Except he didn't. Still, he gives Kusuo the option of whether to use the power deleter or not, without the leverage of publicizing his powers. Kusuke has accepted that he can't beat Kusuo, and that he's never going to get another chance to beat him full strength, because he knows Kusuo is going to use that power deleter. This is the ultimate sacrifice for Kusuke, since Kusuo's powers are his one interest and passion in life.

From then on, Kusuke is completely cooperative, helping Kusuo with the volcano problem and giving him genuine advice in trying to prevent his powers from returning. Naturally he gets a little excited at the prospect that Kusuo's powers might be back, but he does respect Kusuo's attempts to deny them back out of existence, setting up Kuniharu to fight the meteor instead of insisting Kusuo do it, even if this might mean they all die.

So in summary, it seems like:

Normal sibling rivalry -> limiters to try to end sibling rivalry -> escape to England -> Kusuo shows up so Kusuke tries to beat him for the first time in years and gets off on the loss -> Kusuke works towards a final conclusive game where he can win and then delete Kusuo's powers

While Kusuke justifies it as older siblings should always be superior to younger siblings, he clearly senses there's something wrong about their dynamic and he works hard to "fix" it in the only way he knows how: with an overwhelming win. And when even his biggest efforts fail, he accepts that he'll never win this way and lets go of their rivalry, shifting into a more normal sibling relationship. And Kusuo recognizes that and even seeks his help with the volcano for the first time.

So while their situation is definitely fucked for most of the series and Kusuke definitely did pretty much everything wrong... Things aren't QUITE as bad as they seem and it looks like the "bro-con" issue is gone by the end of canon.

Which sets Kusuke pretty far from Makoto, imo, who never recognizes for a second that his attraction is problematic and that even if that wasn't his sister, he should never treat another person that way.

Anyways, I figured it might be helpful to explain my thinking on Kusuke in more detail like this, so hopefully this was interesting and makes sense!

This is the psychotic brainchild of me and a uni mate so please don’t take it too seriously. Also I don’t know very much about hairdressing (all the knowledge I have is based on my personal experience as someone with colored hair) so please forgive any glaring mistakes. This is also a really long post so 🤷‍♀️

Buuut we were discussing the trains’ “hair” 😅 (I know they are just wigs but I need this out of my brain) and we decided that once a month they have a designated “hair day” because literally all of them have colored/bleached hair that would require consistent upkeep.

I should also probably say this is based on the 2024 production and the wigs for that show because it’s the one I’m most familiar with. I’m also working with the principal casts wigs cause I know they change if swings are involved. (Please don’t ask me how long I spent looking at photos of the components trying to discern if they have streaks in their hair)

It always takes please in someone’s front yard so people can come by whenever their available and so that whoever’s shed is hosting doesn’t get a rainbow of hair dye trodden through their house. The host shed rotates for fairness. They have a proper portable shampoo basin but otherwise it’s just some deck chairs, the garden hose and whatever shampoos, conditioners and dyes the trains themselves supply.

Momma is there all day as supervisor because she definitely lived through the wack hair faze of the 80s and without her nothing would get done. The day would consist of insults and bleach tragedies. I feel like she would also be around to help those trains with tighter curls/coily hair.

Coaches: usually get theirs done relatively early in the morning since it gets chaotic later on. Always have a camera on hand to document the day because it gets sillier the more the day drags on and that is perfect blackmail material. Hair day gossip is the best gossip.

Pearl: her hair is naturally purple so she does multiple low volume bleachs and then toner to get her hair the right shade so getting started as soon as possible is key. She’s growing out her hair so in terms of cutting it, it’s just the split ends off the bottom.

Dinah: just tends to refresh the blue in her hair, which she doesn’t have much of but making pink hair blue is a MISSION. By the time hair day comes around, she usually needs to touch up her bangs as well and every few months if it starts to get to long, she’ll cut it back to her desired length.

Belle: in true sleepy girl fashion has a minimal and low maintenance routine. Just the split ends off the bottom and maybe some magenta hair tinsel if she’s feeling fancy. (I swear I’ve seen this somewhere but I cannot figure out where, I also might just be delusional)

Tassita: because of his hair style has a very specific routine. He takes his cut very seriously and will not let anyone else do it. Making his blue hair orange isn’t necessarily hard but there has to be special care taken to ensure that the orange bits are made orange and his natural blue stays blue.

Engines: they usually come in around lunch time in between their shifts. The amount of gel they put in their hair to make their silly shark fins means that clean hair is the first thing they focus on when it’s their turn. They have worked out a circuit so that everyone gets the same thing done. Like one will wash, one will cut, one will color, one will remove color/wash #2 and one will dry. It’s like a rotating chores chart, down to a science.

Silver Bullet: is vaguely impatient and spends most of their time tapping their skate obnoxiously. Is subsequently usually on the dry stage to keep them relatively occupied. Really enjoys the post cut and wash hair and is a little sad the next day when the gel comes out.

Orange Flash: steals Tassita’s orange dye when they’re out of their own. This has lead to them leaving with the wrong colour hair on more than one occasion cause Tassita switched the dye in the bottle in an effort to get them to stop. Doesn’t like the shampoo bowl cause it always kinks their neck but suffers though the wash anyway.

Golden Eagle: will fall asleep in the chair but only after the color is in because he is pedantic about it being the right shade. Apart from the top which has to be left reasonably long for the fin, he likes the rest of his head to be a short as possible. Claims it’s for aerodynamics.

Blue Lightning: is part of the reason why hair day is not in anyone’s shed anymore because their dye gets everywhere and it stains everything. They are the chattiest and will complain about anything and everything. The water is too cold, the hair dryer is too cool, Green Arrow keeps shaking their head and getting green water all over them etc.

Green Arrow: speaking of, GA is usually in charge of grabbing the trains food between shifts so they all behave. As such, is usually last to get their hair done but they get first pick of whatever lunch is so they are fine with it. Shakes like a dog after their last wash is done just to piss off BL.

Greaseball: has to be literally dragged by her ear from the tracks by Dinah. Is like a cat in my brain and hates having her hair wet. But she has committed to having her hair matching her fit so she sucks it up, that and her stupid mullet needs maintenance cause trying to make black hair yellow is just as much a mission as making pink hair blue. It’s also good bonding experience for her and Dinah, who is the only person she trusts to do her hair without purposefully messing it up (GE cut the mullet too short once and he didn’t race that year). She just likes that she gets to spend uninterrupted semi intimate time together.

Freight: if you thought the engines were bad the freight are worse. They work long hours and by the time they get home their hair is the last thing they want to worry about. They appear sporadically throughout the day unless they are tracked down by engines during work hours and reminded that hair day is mandatory. (I don’t mean for the freight to come across as gross, it’s just that, in my brain at least they are fuel trucks therefore they are energy, and sitting still especially for a long periods of time, like cutting and especially coloring hair, I don’t think would gel with them. They are busy bees)

Slick: thoroughly enjoys the head massage that comes with momma washing her hair. There are so many colors in the water that washes away thanks to all the oil and her yellow becomes like 3 shades lighter after it’s clean. High vis looking ass. Will only show up if it’s quiet. You’ll never see her there when the engines or electrics are there. Will sometimes help Momma wash Mommas hair if she’s the last one done. Has been know to start hair dye fights if the other freight are present and is the other part the reason hair day now happens in the yard.

Porter: dusty dusty man. Similar to Slick in the sense that the water is actually filthy and his hair goes from black to brown when it’s clean. The red goes from maroon to rose red. Loves hair products that smell nice, like will jump sporadically between products depending on what scent he’s feeling. Loves helping people with the hair washing process if they’re feeling antsy. Also very much enjoys the feeling of clean hair. Is a hairspray kinda guy though, as opposed to the engines who are gel all the way. There’s no other way for his hair to be that tall.

Lumber: will bring a speaker with him when it’s his turn although the music will vary wildly depending on who has control of the playlist. Is the chillest of the freight and has his routine down to a science. Him and Rusty will take turns doing each other’s hair. Cannot be relied upon to purchase the same shade of blue hair dye every time. Spends ages brushing saw dust and splinters out of his hair.

Hydra: spends the least amount of time initially cleaning his hair although his siblings have been known the chuck oil/sawdust/coal dust at him when he brags to much about it. Hogs the hair dryer. Is the reason Slick starts hair dye fights. Also hogs the hair straightener. Does not like doing hair day alone and will actively seek out a companion. Has to use a highly moisturizing conditioner so the constant cold of his tank doesn’t dry his hair out. Does the neatest dye job and will jump at the chance to help his siblings if they ask.

Steamers: Momma knows things about train hair that she shouldn’t and it never ceases to amaze Rusty. He hopes to one day have that kind of knowledge. Are unfortunately usually relegated to supervisors since behaving respectfully aroid each other seems to be a trait the entirety of Troubadour lacks. The most luscious locks you have ever seen. The glorious hair runs in the family.

Momma: uses products that the rest of the yard are sure were discontinued decades ago but seems to always have more than enough on hand. Wields hair tools like a knight. She will bless thee with beautiful locks. Is usually the last person of the day to do her hair but enjoys knowing everyone is clean for another month. Love letting her kids do her hair even tho they are “adults”. She just love them so much. It’s how her and Slick bond. Her favorite part of the day is watching the sunset while she lets the conditioner sit.

Rusty: has the tightest curls of any train and thus spends the most amount of time detangling and it always ends with him needing some WD40 on his elbow joints afterward. Regularly steals Mommas hair brushes. Use’s an entire bottle of conditioner to himself. Used only the tiniest bit of bleach and toner for the parts of his hair that are lighter. Momma has threatened to scrap him if he does anymore. Depending on who he’s staying with he will do his hair either with the freight or the coaches.

Electrics: the highest of high maintenance. They refuse to use the communal space that gets setup but will still have their hair day on the same day as the rest of the yard and will set up outside their shed so the option for interaction is there. There are so many sneaky Polaroids in the coaches shed of most of the components wandering around with shower caps on while they let their hair develop. None of them are naturally that blonde. Electra does all the components hair and then they work together to do theirs. Have thus far refused to host hair day but still participate in their own way.

Killawatt: makes sure that his hair is done indoors before they set up outside where he can keep an eye on everyone. He doesn’t have any grey streaks in his hair so he usually just needs his roots touched up. Loves the feeling of Electra’s hands going through his hair. When they move outside he is constantly either walking the perimeter or standing with Electra while they do another components hair. Is the only component the coaches don’t have a Polaroid of and it has become a mission of theirs to catch him with a shower cap on.

Volt: low-key a bit of an iPad kid while his hair is being done. Electra gives him a tablet to keep him occupied otherwise he would legit just sit there and stare at people, which freaks everyone out. It helps direct the restless energy. Always has new inspo pics but literally doesn’t care what Electra does to his hair - like as long as they all fit together he could not care less. Is in charge of making sure they are stocked up on all their hair day stuff. Has a favourite comb.

Joule: much to Electra’s annoyance, she will not sit still. Is the last component to get their hair done so she has the day to burn off some energy. Is the only component who will actually strike up a conversation with anyone who comes by their shed. Has everyone’s bleach and toner volumes memorized. Is the reason the coaches are on the look out for components in shower caps. Most frequently has the grey pattern in her chair changed (with Electra’s blessing)

Wrench: the model child of the group. Literally gets the same cut and color every time. The only thing she is pedantic about is her hair length because she needs to make sure it’s short enough that it doesn’t fall in her eyes while she’s working. Any new products need to go through her so she can check ingredients. Joule tried to use her trauma shears for haircuts once and she blew a fuse.

Electra: literally enrolled them all in a hairdressing course so they could all learn how to do hair properly. Has mastered the arts of speed and precision. No one gets a faster haircut than the components. Will literally whip out a ruler if they have to make sure the lines are straight. The shampoo is their favorite part of the process when they are getting their hair done. Loves products that smell good. Has and will refuse to use a product if it doesn’t, not matter how much Wrench insists it’s good for their hair. Strikes me as having thick hair that would be L’orel commercial worthy if they grew it out. Has the world’s worst helmet hair, especially during racing season, and thus always has a comb and anti-frizz dry shampoo on hand. Trusts the components implicitly to do their hair to their standard. Loves the pampering.

Like okay, I was in a really terrible mood last night. I have to look on the bright side once in a while, right? And on that note, guess who heads up the Noble Arts syllabus, and who yours truly gets to study under?

It's only Lord Castor-Eyros, Second Herald of the House of Smoke - one of my favourite authors! I have read every single one of his books cover-to-cover at least twice, and it got me through some really dark periods in my life.

They say a lot of things, like "authors don't necessarily make good teachers," and "don't meet your heroes" but I feel like neither apply to him. He's just effortlessly charming, and while he never talks down to you, I feel like he always explains even the most complex concepts in language you can just immediately grasp.

I thought Noble Arts would be the easiest for me, but I was mistaken. I'm really understanding what people mean when they say Kavaliers aren't just "good pilots," they're an ideal. A Kavalier is meant to be able to dominate the field of battle in any chassis they choose, then compose a six-stanza poem about it to ensure that when the history books are written, future generations will smile upon the necessity of the battle and the nobility of the cause.

And the College does not consider the Noble Arts a "soft subject." I'm expected to be just as conversant in Low Passacaglian history and transgenic flower hybridisation as I am in field-stripping my mech's leg assembly or the correct procedure for flanking an entrenched enemy. It's a good thing that Lord Castor is such an excellent teacher, because they are not fucking around.

Stablemaster Imani Rudilis heads up the Technical Syllabus, and I gotta hand it to the College, they really do choose only the best tutors. Mx. Rudilis is clear, concise, and you can tell that this is a subject they have genuine passion for. I understood the inner workings of a mech on a theoretical level before - now I feel like I'm starting to understand them in practice.

I'm actually finding Technical the easiest right now. Everything kind of fits together, and even really diverse topics have some relationship to what we've already learned. Like the Stablemaster says, a mech is holistic - there's no such thing as a non-essential component. Designers are constantly trying to shave down tonnages, remove points of failure, streamline the fuselage; Imani is a designer themself, and you can tell they prefer functional silhouettes over ornate frippery. I respect that.

Underbaron Iphianassa... surprised me. I mean, I've heard about her - I don't think there's a single child on Khayradin who hasn't. She's been fighting in wars for almost as long as military mechs have existed. She recognised me, too. As a member of the House of Stone, I expected she'd have the same contempt for me as the rest do - but she doesn't treat me any different to any other student. She knows my Republican leanings, and probably my opinion on her title "Hero of the Ludran Fields," but that doesn't seem to matter.

That's not to say she's going easy on me - I don't think this woman has ever been easy on anyone. Classes are... brisk. We're not just expected to pick things up quickly, we're expected to master them by the end of the day. I think Tactical is gonna be the most challenging syllabus for me. Actual combat scenarios are way different to anything I was trained on before - that was just one-on-one duels in a fast, close-quarters skirmishing frame.

I have also... met some fellow students? And by "met," I mean I've accidentally gotten them dragged into my shitty personal issues. I probably shouldn't talk about them on a public journal. They don't deserve the kind of negative attention I'd bring down on them. But they're a team with me now, whether they like it or not, Passions help all four of them.

Tonight is race night!

This is a project for the entire community of Starlight Express role play blogs of Tumblr! Every character is welcome to participates, including doubles, any production, and OCs!

Here is how this will work:

Please read carefully before joining the community!

A community will be made for this tournament, joining is necessary to sign up.

Pairing is necessary- specially between an engine character and a carriage character (a carriage can be freight, coach, component, etc.)

When you join the community, there will be a post in which you submit your pairing- one engine and one coach stating the character’s names, their @‘s, which production they are from or whether they are an oc, as well as if they are an engine or a coach.

In this community, there will be a post meant for finding a racing partner- but it is very much encouraged to roleplay these interactions out outside of the community beforehand! Please ensure that both parties are agreeing to partner up before one of them submits a pairing.

Depending on how many sign up, the first round of races will consist of groups of 3 or 4 pairs. There will be one winner of each race, and those winners will be split into groups of 3 or 4 pairs for the next round of races. So on and so forth, until a winner is declared.

A community post will be made offering different dates for each race in the first round, which pairs can determine which would work best for their schedules and sign up for the best date. It is not necessary to be attentive all day during the race, as long as you respond at least every 3 hours. If you fail to respond to a turn notification within an hour, your turn will be skipped. When the groups for each race in the first round of races are declared, the participants will be @‘d in a post on the Control account both inside and outside of the community.

When a race begins, all participants will be @‘d in a post in the community and a separate post on the Control account. Do not reblog with an action until what the action is, who does it, and the order is sorted out inside the community. Under the post inside the community, details including whose turn is first will be added to the post under which actions will be sorted. The engine of the first pairing will describe what it is they want to do in a reply under that post- ex. “Greaseball pushes Golden Eagle aside to get in front of him.” Control will roll a dice to determine if the action succeeds, fails, or if nothing happens. This will be determined with the roll of a 20-sided die. 1-7 means a fail, meaning the action somehow backfires and sets the racer back a place. Ex: In response, Control would reply with the action, “Fail! Greaseball trips while trying to push Golden Eagle.” 8-12 means nothing happens. Control would reply with, “Nothing happens! Greaseball misses.” In this case, the racer would maintain their previous order. 13-20 means a success, in which Control would reply with, “Success! Greaseball pushes Golden Eagle to the ground.” A successful action against another participant can knock a competitor down a place, but would not push the racer taking the action up a place. If the action is not taken against another racer (ex: “Greaseball takes a shortcut”) can boost the racer up a place if successful. Offensive actions can only be taken against other racers either directly in front of or behind the train taking the action (during the first round of turns, this doesn’t apply). Yes you can start fights! A fight will lower the places of both parties, but the loser (determined by a coin flip) will be knocked out of the race.

The carriages take an action too, and can either support their engine (ex: Dinah knocks into Golden Eagle) or to sabotage their engine (ex: Dinah brakes to slow Greaseball down). These work the same as engine turns, but are taken after the other partner.

Be creative with your actions! Inspiration points can be awarded if your action is particularly interesting, giving the racer advantage on the next turn (an extra dice roll). Yes, powers or skills specific to a character can be utilized. If you are unsure about whether you can take an action, don’t be afraid to ask.

When the outcome of an action is determined in the community post, the racer playing the action will move to reblog the race announcement post on the Control account describing what happened. The train taking the first action will reblog the original post, then their carriage will reblog from the first engine’s action when their own action is determined, the next engine will repost from the last carriage’s repost, so on and so forth.

There will be a total of 4 rounds of turns from each pair, and the final placement will determine the winner of that race. The winner of each race in the first round of races will move on to the next round.

She joins Redbull-Renault as one of their engineer designers and easily fits into the team, forming friendships easily. Most of all, she captures the attention of three time world champion, Sebastian Vettel. Part 1- just an introduction to the OC and situation, please excuse my inaccuracies about the 2013 GP and design engineering im not a pro and was like 11 back then 😭😭 here’s the LINK to part 2.

“And here… right through here is… our youngest, and my personal favourite design engineer. This is where all the magic happens.” The sound of Sebastian’s German accent caused my lips to lift as I took my head set off, spinning around in my chair. Sebastian was walking alongside a camera man, touring around the garages. It was pre practice day, only two more days and the 2013 GP would begin. Although I’d been hired for Red Bull back in October of last year, it had taken 5 months to get to this point of merciless training and shadowing to ensure I was good at what I was doing. The Red Bull driver made his way over, resting on the back of my large chair with an amused smile. “Hi.” I nervously giggled, pushing my hair behind my ear as my headset fell around my neck. “This is Jennifer, do you want to tell them what you’re doing today, Jennifer?” The use of my full, formal name was sending me slightly giggly as I gazed up to the blonde man. Maybe it was just him making me feel that way…

“Um… so, to put it in simple terms so it’s not so boring, we’re just checking all the components of the RB9’s- what Sebastian and Mark will be driving- to make sure we don’t need to make any last minute changes.” “And what’s your name again?” The camera man asked. “Jen, I never go by Jennifer.” I laughed, glancing back up to Sebastian again. Whenever our eyes met I found myself struggling to keep composure on camera. “Tell then a bit about yourself.” He then nudged me on, grinning down. He could tell I was getting flustered, but continued purposefully. “Nobody wants to know about me!” I laughed, attempting to spin my chair back around in embarrassment. Hiding behind my computer for the first two weeks was my safe haven, that’s what I’d reverted back to. “They do!! Tell us, how did you get into your position?!” Seb spun the chair back, sliding a hand down onto my very ticklish shoulder, squeezing as both my shoulders jumped up with a giggle.

“Sorry.” Seb breathlessly laughed. “Um- well I started here in October, I just finished my masters last year at Manchester in Motorsport Engineering- um… Im 22- I don’t really have anything else very interesting to say! Uh- I suppose I had- just had experience from working part time with my brother who’s an engineer when I was like… 15.” I explained.

“Clever girl.” Seb responded as I automatically gulped in response, looking up to him and awkwardly glimpsing back to the camera. I didn’t know how to act with that in my face. “And what’s this?” The camera zoomed closer in on my second screen, it was just information about F1’s plan to go electric next year and use Hybrid engines, but it contained private information. My hand flew up blocking the screen dramatically, “oh! Sorry, that’s a secret!” Seb burst out laughing. “Oh no!” I laughed, “don’t worry I’ll cut that.” Luckily the camera man turned away as I sunk back into my chair. I really hoped I didn’t leak some super, confidential information about Red Bull or I’d be facing the sack a mere half year into employment.

Sebastian flashed me another smile and squeeze on the shoulder before following the camera man and showing him around some more. When they left I let out an internal sigh. I’d known Seb for the same amount as everybody else here, but I just felt this immediate warmth to him. Once the intimidation had worn off (even now I still felt it) I could tell there was an instant attraction. At points it felt mutual, Seb would openly flirt with me, tease me, I know he was a charmer, but I couldn’t tell if I was being delusional or not. He was cuddly, funny, he always looked so deeply into my eyes whenever I explained something to him. I wasn’t sure how I’d deal with the feelings that would keep me on edge for a full season. The worst thing about it??? I had a boyfriend.

Joel sucked in a breath. Supplies scattered on the floor around him. The industrial fan blew the hot Texas air into his hotter garage. Sarah rode her bike around the driveway, purple fairy wings strapped to her back. She chatted on and on, no doubt caught up in a make believe land. He needed to take the training wheels off her bike. Maybe tomorrow he would have time.

Joel’s gaze drifted back over the supplies he’d bought at the hardware store this morning. Sarah had asked what he was making as her little legs struggled to keep up with his long strides. She’d noticed the unusual components he gathered. These weren’t for a job or the back porch he’d been working on all summer.

“Secret project” he’d winked at her and thankfully, she’d accepted it.

He hadn’t been able to sleep last night. He’d handled the whole situation badly. It was 2 am before Joel gave up the tireless pursuit of sleep and drawn up the plans. He currently wondered if he’d bitten off more than he could chew. He was a contractor. He did big projects like framing houses and decks. His fine carpentry skills left a lot to be desired.

Joel pushed those thoughts from his head. He could do this. He wanted to do this.

One lunch break, two first aid breaks, (a splinter in his thumb and a skinned knee for Sarah) and a nap (Sarah’s) later, Joel had all the pieces shaped and sanded. He couldn’t help but admire his handy work. Sure it was a simple design and yeah, it wasn’t assembled yet, but he’d made this. He just prayed it all fit.

Sarah colored at his workbench. She’d woken up not long ago and was still quiet from her nap. “Daddy, what are you making?”

“Top secret, baby girl.” He winked at her, pulling the wood glue and clamps from the cabinet.

She sighed in exasperation turning back to her coloring book. Joel hummed along to the classic rock station. His tshirt clung to his body wet with sweat. At 5:30, the temperature was just beginning its slow descent. He started to assemble to the first side, praying he’d made all the slots the correct size. That had been the most tedious part, ensuring it would all lock together properly.

“Daddy, I’m hungry. Are we going to have dinner soon?”

“Soon, I want to get this first side put together first.”

Sarah sighed, her hair floating up and then falling back over her eyes. Joel chuckled, kissing her forehead. “Why don’t you go grab a cheese stick to tide you over?”

“Okay.” She slid off the stool, running inside.

It slid together with relative ease. Only a few profanities dropped from his mouth when he dropped something or spilled the glue everywhere.

He was jerryrigging the clamps when Sarah squealed, darting out of the garage. He glanced up, just able to make out the blue sedan that pulled in behind his pickup. Your blue sedan.

Nerves coursed through him. He reached for his beer. It was warm and flat now, barely touched. Sharp power tools and alcohol don’t mix well. He ignored the taste, taking another gulp. After last night, fear and shame filled him.

Sarah held your hand, talking a mile a minute as if you didn’t kiss her Goodnight last night. You laughed at something she said, but he heard the way it doesn’t quite reach. The first thing he noticed were the dark bags under your eyes and the red rings around them. Guilt flooded him. You need sleep more than ever right now. He felt the exhaustion radiating off of you.

You attempted to make yourself more presentable before gathering the courage to come over. The shower helped, your hair still damp and curling. The mascara kept running so you left it.

 You round the corner with Sarah. Joel can hardly look at you. To be fair, you don’t really want to look at him either. You don’t want a repeat of last night but you can’t ignore the situation at hand either.

You finally call up the courage to look at him. You’d grown proud of yourself for learning the ins and outs of Joel Miller in the two years you’d known him. You could read him like the bedtime stories you read to Sarah, silly voices and all, but right now the pages of him blurred. Maybe that was just the tears you fought back.

“Sarah, do you want to grab your fairy wings to show-“

“Yes!” Sarah didn’t allow her father to finish. She was gone through the door in a flash of dark curls.

“She’s been excited to show you. Can’t believe she wasn’t wearin’ ‘em.” His Texas drawl popped out sending shivers down your spine. He forced a smile.

You wanted to return it, but other things pressed your mind. You weren’t good at diversion.

“Joel.” Your lip quivered and you hated yourself for it. You felt out of control right now.

He sighed. “Come here.” He cocked his head back stepping further into the garage.

The fan pushed air through your hair and skirt granting mellow relief to the heat.

 “I’ve been working on this.” He swallowed presenting his scattered workspace. He read all nerves but there was the briefest sense of pride too.

Pieces of carefully shaped and sanded wood laid about in piles. You caught sight of what he’d put together. “Porch railing?”

You failed to see the connection. Not to mention it looked too tall and narrow to be for the back deck. And what was with the arch? Was he trying to build a trellis? He’d been talking about putting in some raised beds for you and Sarah.

Was this some kind of joke? An “I’m sorry?” It hardly accounted for one.

“No, it’s a-“ he sighed, running a hand through his curls. He needed a haircut. You had planned to take the clippers to it last night until things went awry.

He picked his notebook up off the work bench. The leather bound one you got him for Christmas. You were convinced he didn’t use it. It sat on his nightstand and you were sure if you’d picked it up, you would see a dust outline. He handed it to you.

You could tell he hadn’t used it much but that didn’t really matter. Your breath caught, all else forgotten the moment your eyes landed on the page. It was rough, dotted with measurements and notes, but it was clear as day all the same.

Tears built up for a whole new reason.

“I stayed up all night working through the design. It's nothing extravagant, but it’ll be sturdy… and safe.” He stuttered.

You traced the design with your finger. All the doubts from the past 24 hours, gone just like that. “You designed a crib?”

“It’s cherry wood. I know that’s your favorite.”

“You designed a crib for our baby?” You stepped into his bubble. You couldn’t believe it. Of everything you anticipated tonight, this was not on the list.

“Baby, I’m so sorry for last night. I was a jackass-“

“Joel Miller, Shut up! You’re building this?”

You looked at him like he hung the fucking galaxy, and his heart settled. He knew the two of you would be okay.

 “Yes.”

 You kissed him, arms thrown over his shoulders, tears streaming down your face as the nightmare turned  into a dream.

You would hear his apology out in full later, lord knows you deserved it after last night, but right now, you just wanted to celebrate. Celebrate him, your love, and the little bundle of joy to join the three of you in 7 short months.

U.S. Approves Foreign Military Sale for South Korean F-15K Upgrade

The State Department has approved the possible sale of components that will allow South Korea to upgrade its F-15K Slam Eagle fleet to a configuration similar to the F-15EX Eagle II.

The U.S. State Department has approved on Nov.19, 2024, a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Republic of Korea of components that will allow the upgrade of the country’s F-15K Slam Eagle fleet. The package, which has an estimated cost of $6.2 billion, follows the decision in 2022 to launch an upgrade program for the aircraft.

The Slam Eagles are the mainstay of the Republic of Korea Air Force’s (ROKAF) multirole missions, with a particular ‘heavy hitting’ long-range strike role. According to the available data, the country operates 59 F-15Ks out of 61 which were initially fielded in 2005. In 2022, the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) approved the launch of an upgrade program planned to run from 2024 to 2034.

In particular, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency’s (DSCA) FMS notice says a number of components were requested for the upgrade, including 96 Advanced Display Core Processor II (ADCP II) mission system computers, 70 AN/APG-82(v)1 Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA) radars, seventy 70 AN/ALQ-250 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) electronic warfare (EW) suites and 70 AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning Systems (CMWS).

In addition to these, South Korea will also get modifications and maintenance support, aircraft components and spares, consumables, training aids and the entire support package commonly associated with FMS. It is interesting to note that the notice also includes aerial refueling support and aircraft ferry support, so it is possible that at least the initial aircraft will be ferried to the United States for the modifications before the rest are modified in country.

The components included in the possible sale will allow the ROKAF to upgrade its entire fleet of F-15Ks to a configuration similar to the new F-15EX Eagle II currently being delivered to the U.S. Air Force. Interestingly, the Korean configuration will also include the CMWS, currently not installed on the EX, so the F-15K will also require some structural modifications to add the blisters on each side of the canopy rail where the sensors are installed.

“This proposed sale will improve the Republic of Korea’s capability to meet current and future threats by increasing its critical air defence capability to deter aggression in the region and to ensure interoperability with US forces,” says the DSCA in the official notice.

The upgrade of the F-15K is part of a broader modernization of the ROKAF’s fighter fleet. In fact, the service is also upgrading its KF-16s Block 52 to the V configuration, integrating a new AESA radar, mission computer, self-protection suite, with works expected to be completed by 2025. These programs complement the acquisition of the F-35 Lightning II and the KF-21 Boramae.

The F-15K

The F-15K is a variant of the F-15E Strike Eagle built for the Republic of Korea Air Force’s (ROKAF) with almost half of the components manufactured locally. The aircraft emerged as the winner of the F-X fighter program against the Rafale, Typhoon and Su-35 in 2002, resulting in an order for 40 F-15s equipped with General Electric F110-129 engines. In 2005, a second order for 21 aircraft equipped with Pratt & Whitney F100-PW-229 engines was signed.

The Slam Eagle name is derived from the F-15K’s capability to employ the AGM-84H SLAM-ER standoff cruise missiles, with the Taurus KEPD 350K being another weapon exclusive to the ROKAF jet. The F-15K is employed as a fully multi-role aircraft and is considered ad one of the key assets of the Korean armed forces.

With the aircraft averaging an age of 16 years and expected to be in service until 2060, the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) launched in 2022 an upgrade program for the F-15Ks. The upgrade, expected to run from 2024 to 2034, is committed to strengthening the mission capabilities and survivability of the jet.

The F-15K currently equips three squadrons at Daegu Air Base, in the southeast of the country. Although based far from the demilitarized zone (DMZ), the F-15K with its SLAM-ER and KEPD 350 missiles can still hit strategic targets deep behind North Korean borders.

The new capabilities

It is not yet clear if the F-15K will receive a new cockpit, since its configuration will be similar to the Eagle II. In fact, the F-15EX has a full glass cockpit equipped with a 10×19-inch touch-screen multifunction color display and JHMCS II both in the front and rear cockpit, Low Profile HUD in the front, stand-by display and dedicated engine, fuel and hydraulics display, in addition to the standard caution/warning lights, switches and Hands On Throttle-And-Stick (HOTAS) control.

Either way, the systems will be powered by the Advanced Display Core Processor II, reportedly the fastest mission computer ever installed on a fighter jet, and the Operational Flight Program Suite 9.1X, a customized variant of the Suite 9 used on the F-15C and F-15E, designed to ensure full interoperability of the new aircraft with the “legacy Eagles”.

The F-15K will be equipped with the new AN/APG-82(V)1 Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar. The radar, which has been developed from the APG-63(V)3 AESA radar of the F-15C and the APG-79 AESA radar of the F/A-18E/F, allows to simultaneously detect, identify and track multiple air and surface targets at longer ranges compared to mechanical radars, facilitating persistent target observation and information sharing for a better decision-making process.

The AN/ALQ-250 EPAWSS will provide full-spectrum EW capabilities, including radar warning, geolocation, situational awareness, and self-protection to the F-15. Chaff and flares capacity will be increased by 50%, with four more dispensers added in the EPAWSS fairings behind the tail fins (two for each fairing), for a total of 12 dispenser housing 360 cartridges.

EPAWSS is fully integrated with radar warning, geo-location and increased chaff and flare capability to detect and defeat surface and airborne threats in signal-dense and highly contested environments. Because of this, the system enables freedom of maneuver and deeper penetration into battlespaces protected by modern integrated air defense systems.

The AN/AAR-57 CMWS is an ultra-violet based missile warning system, part of an integrated IR countermeasures suite utilizing five sensors to display accurate threat location and dispense decoys/countermeasures. Although CMWS was initially fielded in 2005, BAE Systems continuously customized the algorithms to adapt to new threats and CMWS has now reached Generation 3.

i was feeling nostalgic about my old tabletop group and couldn't sleep last night, so I made pathfinder versions of some premades. ADHD is giving me some trouble today and i forgot to take my meds until it was too late, so i got a little carried away while i was supposed to be doing other stuff >.>

This isn't really a workable party - aside from Maria they are all extremely squishy - but my partner is willing to DMan adventure with them, or at least a few encounters. tabletop groups are fun, but we do really enjoy just having him DM while I play multiple characters.

seriously this party definitely needs stronker friends tho just oh dear. A psychic, an oracle, a sorcerer, a wizard and a druid??? Tess, Flora, and Ethren are untrained in all armor, Keisha is only trained in light armor, and Maria is a good and loyal friend who would never abandon her party even though her medium armor and larger health pool might otherwise save her. They're all super dead, is my point.

idea here being that Tess was badly injured in a potion making accident, and received an experimental healing procedure to save her life. hence the lack of eyebrows and vampire skin.

you can play psychics as either an int- or charisma-based class. i went with int for Tess to represent her genius trait. i don't like dealing with spell slots, so I tend to favor cantrip-focused casters like psychics or dnd warlocks rather than idk wizards.

conscious mind: the oscillating wave

Your powers let you shift energy - either concentrating it in a single point to explosive end or freezing objects by plundering it away - in an endless oscillation of temperature.

Intentional focus is the key to unleashing your abilities, whether that's because your power naturally tends to precise, discrete effects, or because you've adopted strict discipline to ensure your mind can change the world only when you intend it to. Your thought components are calculations you make to determine the forces you need to call upon. Perhaps you mentally weigh the mass of an object against the force of gravity to levitate it or you might determine exactly how much energy is needed for an object to combust. Calculation components tend to impart ordered visual and auditory effects to your spell manifestation, such as regular tessellations of light, mathematical spirals, or harmonic tones.

this is meant to capture her perfectionist trait. i also gave her the "natural ambition" feat just for good measure.

some spells associated with the oscillating wave go from powerful to devastating if you can cast them at melee range, replacing d4s with d6s and d10s with d12s. Psychics are squishy as fuck and there's only so much I can do to mitigate that, but I'm working on a build or strategy that will make at least occasional melee attacks feasible bc tess deserves to burn the world to the ground if that's what her heart wants :D

the idea of Keisha as a grifter-truned-oracle is very appealing to me. while she does have powers now, they have nothing to do with contacting the dead - she's more fortune teller than medium. doubt that will stop her running séances to earn a quick buck tho.

I gave Flora the self-assured, genius, and mean traits in-game, so for this I put her in a charisma-focused class and boosted her int score, as well as giving her some mean spells. I played a smart warlock focused around intimidation in my last dnd campaign and think that sort of playstyle would work really well for her.

the civic wizardry thing comes from some specific headcanons I have about ethren - namely, that he was involved with the building of the tunnels under Forgotten Hollow/Glimmerbrook/Moonwood.

i'm strongly considering rebuilding him as a druid - i really like the association of mischief/charisma, untamed/intelligence, and practical/wisdom, so I don't love having him in an int-based class. i can have him kinda multiclass to let him keep some of the civic wizardry stuff. that would also let me rebuild Maria as a witch, since he could take over healing duty.

characters can become werewolves starting at level 2, but I think Maria would spend a little more time as just a spellcaster before taking that step - I thought about making her the oracle rather than Keisha because of the lunar aspects of Keisha's mystery, but decided against it because I don't want maria in a charisma-centric class. if i decide to redo Ethren as a druid, i will probably make Maria a witch instead - it's an intelligence-based class that focuses on the use of a familiar, so it seems kinda perfect for her as a familiar-owning untamed spellcaster. I'm not unhappy with her as a druid, though, and she can get a familiar like that too. and i like seeing her in scale mail!

the astrology thing ties in with her mooncaster stuff. dnd druids have the option of the circle of the moon subclass, which I do like better than the untamed order she joined here, but ya know - this is pathfinder, she gets pathfinder powers.

Hi, Here is an overview of base programming/programmes. Most other internal programmes will fall under one of these. Base programming is different from Greek programming.

ALPHA-Alpha programming is also called ‘the base personality control.’ Symbolism is used to reinforce programming. The symbols can be found outside the body, such as; hourglasses, white rabbits, monarch butterflies, as well as found in the programming of that individual. The programming for alpha teaches the person triggers, assists in fragmenting the personality, protection programming, logic programming, map of the system, base commands for contacting/calling up of other parts, and the foundation for future programming. BETA-Sexual programming spanning from rigid gender stereotypes on one end of the spectrum (Princess Programming) to hyper-sexualised conduct at the opposite end. Particular programs (and thus commands) are for pornography, acting, oral sex, etc.(porn/sex/BDSM Programming). Beta Programming requires absolute submission from women/men in order for them to perform their tasks. Early sexual torture will be used to anchor programming. These parts will develop sexual abilities that are for the pleasure of others. These parts are programmed to have charm, seductive skills, charisma, and creativity. This Programming ensures the part is lacking sexual inhibitions. (Base program)

GAMMA-Can be system-protection and deception programming which will provide misinformation to outsiders and try to misdirect people by telling half-truths, protecting different internal programming. Gamma parts are trained to sow doubt and confusion about the existence of programmers. This is done by creating a number of misinformation parts, some of which are involved in exposing the group, but they will mix truth with wildly speculative and obviously ridiculous assertions. DELTA-Is assassin programming and was originally developed for training special agents or elite soldiers (i.e. Delta Force, First Earth Battalion, Mossad, etc.) in covert operations. Optimal adrenal output and controlled aggression is evident. Subjects are devoid of fear and very systematic in carrying out their assignment. Self-destruct or suicide instructions are layered in at this level.

EPSILON-Is the programming of animal parts into the child, which is thought to be the key to paranormal or superhuman abilities. (Spiritual programming) Type 3 Epsilon Programming-A base-level obedience programme the individual is programmed to their primal components of food, shelter, and water. Epsilon Programming elements are often added to other forms of programming.

THETA-Psychic programming correlates with the development and use of extrasensory powers and extra physical abilities, including long-distance mind connection with other remote viewing where part’s could see what an individual is doing in another location. It also implies the use of thought energy to kill someone at a distance. Paranormal ability known as "remote scanning", the ability of some humans to locate objects or envision events in remote geographical areas of which they have no prior knowledge. Cortical theta waves are frequent in children. In older children and adults, theta waves appear during meditative, drowsy, hypnotic or sleeping states. (Base Programming)

OMEGA-Self-destruct programming. The corresponding behaviours include suicidal tendencies and/or self-mutilation. This program is generally activated when the victim/survivor begins therapy or interrogation and too much memory is being recovered.
