So: further bad news, gang

Laptop I bought shit a brick and would no longer boot (had several blue screens even during before and after attempting to factory reset it and multiple windows recovery errors) so no more writing for a bit.

Instead of buying a new laptop, I'm going to take my original borked desktop to Best Buy to see if Geeksquad can't fix her because god almighty if I trust another local shop and they forget her again, I will actually commit murder.

So if you would like to assist me in paying for repairs as I attempt to save every last penny I have for rent, food, and travel, you can do so here:

I don't know how much it will be but I fully anticipate having to get another new motherboard or a brand new psu since it won't boot up at all since the local shop incident— so any amount helps.

It's always so hard for me to do this, but after deep consideration, I've decided to change my url on here. I've had jdmorganz for five years and while Jeffrey Dean Morgan is still probably my favorite person that I've met, I just feel like I want to test out this new username for a while. And of course, if things don't work out I can always change it back, but right now I'm smitten with Pedro Pascal and I just love his energy. So I was itching to try something new. I also changed my headers for both mobile & desktop, just to fit things better.

I've decided to start using #userdm if people would like to tag me in things, but I will still check the #jdmorganz tag still just in case.

Mutual aid post!

(sorry for the amateurish nature of this post, this is my first time making a post like this)

This is a call to help my dear friend, Foog (on here as @ieatmilipedes) and his family's fundraiser campaign! (I have asked permission to make this post on here for hopefully more eyes/help)

From the GoFundMe description:

"We are asking for your assistance! We are currently homeless after issues that occurred with hurricane Milton, our area was one of the hardest to be hit there was no gas or power for literal weeks, and we had to use all of the money we had for bills and rent to buy supplies so our family could attempt to recover from the hurricane, afterwards we couldn’t pay rent so now our family is currently homeless, we’re staying at a campsite in a tent, all four of us. It’s unclear when we’ll have the funds to get a new place and campsites only allow limited stays, so we are currently asking for 4’000$, this amount would give us a head start and have us set and ready for relocation after this post-hurricane crisis, this would cover moving cost and be the down payment for a new place, we’re not demanding assistance but we are asking in the nicest way possible for help, every dollar counts."

As of right now, thankfully the fundraiser has raised around $305 (USD) out of $4,000 so far!!! But it would be nice if it was able to reach more of its goal.

Foog has been a friend of mine for almost 3-4 years now, it would really mean a lot in general if people could share and donate if able to. (In fact, if you decide to donate and show me proof of your donation, I will draw you something).

Here's a kind of experimental lineless A.B.A from memory to keep up the good habits of this blog. Then I got carried away and did some creative writing that you can read under the cut if you'd like. It can be interpreted as the picture's context, or as an unrelated scenario.

Warning for a homunculus with shitty bad mental health:

"A.B.A stood there, in the middle of the cold night, seen by... who cares? as she stared at the broken window of that room, which had once been her prison, her flask, so to speak.

Even though it had now been years since her great escape, the location could nowadays elicit the same strong feelings as it did on day one, though that wasn't shown in her outward expression: seemingly fully blank, aside from a flicker in her eyes.

That room was still invisibly asphyxiating, still like if its walls murmured to her again that, were anything to happen to her... No one would care. And that statement had something that broke her, and it wasn't just due to its cruel face-value.

Think about it; being the way she was created, her biggest virtue was being able to excel human limitations: she could come out unscathed from almost any wound if blood was abundant, and was effectively able to give senescence the middle finger.

But here she was, hurting from the sight of an empty room, that, logically speaking, posed no more chagrin or danger. So, she mentally wasn't able to completely excel humans, as from what she knew, even they must have surely thought of this behaviour as weak and deranged. If we were so kind, a mistake-a shortcoming of the mind.

If these sorts of shortcomings kept piling up... Then what was even that she excelled at?

Writing About The Codeblr Community

I am making an article about us! Well, about the coding community on here (#codeblr)!

I got advice from a frequent writer on Medium that I should write about something I am passionate about and to find out what exactly, she said "What topic would you talk about for hours in front of an audience?" and honestly it would be Tumblr, but more especially about the Codeblr community!

I've made some notes on what I want to talk about. It's still not complete as I made the notes around midnight last night so I was a bit tired whilst I was typing but I will take time to talk to people, plan the various topics I want to cover properly and get enough information!

🤔 What's my aim with writing the article?

To shed light to the community and the hard work everyone has put into their codeblr/studyblr blogs. From people sharing resources, to those who share their programming progresses. Someone asked me time ago about sharing their codeblr blogs on their resume/CV and on other social media platforms - if people can share their YouTube, Twitter, Instagram account on coding, why not their Codeblr blog? Your Tumblr blog is just as worthy as someone sharing on Twitter. Plus it's nicer and more welcoming here~!

Anyhoo, if you see your name in the list, I will ask permission to mention you! I won't force it or anything.

🔍 Questions for those who want to be involved!

I don’t know why I’ve been so determined to have more mod folders than I really need. I have narrowed the current ones down but I’m realizing this is going to be a bigger project than I originally thought.

I know I want to keep my challenge saves with separate mod folders but everything else it comes down to whether I want all the cc or minimal cc and keeping it as simple as that.
