enshittification isn't just worse UI changes. it's the fact that when i google a random word, the first result is usually some company. possibly multiple results about different companies. before anything useful.

There are two configurations available: one with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $599 and another with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $679. The storage of both models can be expanded via microSD, and the phone features a modular design that can be easily disassembled using a standard Phillips #00 screwdriver to replace broken components. It also has an IP54 rating, meaning the device is protected against dust and water sprays.
The Murena Fairphone 4 will ship to US customers with 5G and dual SIM support, a removable 3905mAh battery, a 48-megapixel main camera, a 48-megapixel ultrawide, and a 25-megapixel selfie camera. The phones will be available to order exclusively from Murena’s webstore starting today.

you can all stop tagging me in the "amazon is leaking government documents 😱😱😱" post,
i am aware, google dorking like that (that's what the technique is called, it's fun, go learn more about it beyond a spongebob meme) is literally how most of my career started
amazon isn't leaking anything, that's incredibly misleading, these documents are leaking the way they are because a lot of customers don't properly configure their aws set up, this is not amazons fault or liability
most of the documents you will find that way are meant to be publicly available, for example everything on "imlive.s3.amazonaws.com" is for display on the government's contract bidding site, 99.9% of what's there is knowingly made public (a few years ago i downloaded over 2 terrabytes of that data and found like two documents of interest, neither were indexed by google), lots of other documents are public due to foia requests or other processes
please please please go have fun with google dorking (including that amazon dork) but i hate that sensationalist misleading meme, especially since it makes it out to be some sort of new discovery or bug, people have been doing this for decades and you can properly learn how to have even more fun with it when given the knowledge i now gave you and then slowly learn how to build your own interesting queries

ISACA Introduces New Google Cloud Platform Audit Program
Tumblr media
ISACA, a global authority in digital trust, has introduced the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Audit Program to aid auditors in assessing risk within cloud environments. The program includes a comprehensive spreadsheet guide for testing GCP services, covering crucial aspects like governance, network management, data security, and more. Misconfigurations and misunderstandings about shared cloud responsibilities are identified as significant risk factors, underscoring the need for auditors to understand GCP concepts related to identity and access management, the Organization/Project/Folder structure, and logging options enablement/disablement. The program equips auditors with the necessary tools to effectively evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of GCP services, which have grown to become the third-largest cloud provider. ISACA members can access the audit program at no cost, while non-members can acquire it for a nominal fee.

do you have any recommended apps for playing hunger pangs audiobooks/reading the epub with?
On Android and iOS devices the native e-readers like Google play and Books can read the ebook file just fine.
It can also in theory be opened with the kindle app though that needs to be configured manually.
If you are on a desktop device then Calibrr works really well. https://calibre-ebook.com/
For the audiobook the files should work with anything that supports mp3s. I use vlc media player on my phone.
If you’re on desktop you can also load it into the windows player, or something again like vlc media player which is free and open source.
Hope that helps!

"versioning" your files
i have an extremely dull tutorial i want to share with you. i never think to share this advice and i think its because it's really user-unfriendly and dry. but today i can teach you how to make automated back-ups of your art files.
download freefilesync.org, a program for automating backups. its freeware and very useful if you have a lot of art to back up. everyone say "thank you freefilesync".
make a new "configuration". this is a settings file that will remember your back-up specifications.
Tumblr media
3. make back-ups! select your files you want backed-up on the left and instruct where to put the generated back-ups on the right. save to an external drive or a google drive folder or something. just back it up! i do both just to be safest.
Tumblr media
4. click the green gear on the top right. these are your synchronization settings. specify the type of back-ups you want. i do "mirror" because i just want them copied. you can hover over the icons for more info on what they mean to further customize your copy settings. these are mine to make basic copies.
Tumblr media
you can also fuck around with the blue gear (where you can specify what changes should prompt the computer to make a copy) and the filter if you need to exclude something from being backed-up.
5. select "versioning" and browse/create a new folder anywhere (external drive or primary, your choice). call the new folder something that indicates the files are outdated. select "time stamp [file]" for clarity's sake.
Tumblr media
you will now have automatic back-ups every time you make a change to your file and save it.
Tumblr media
save your configuration settings.
6. set freefilesync to run 1x a day at a time most convenient to you using windows task scheduler. instructions here
sometimes you really fuck up a file. maybe it gets corrupted or you save it at the wrong resolution. well now you have a parachute. previous versions of your file will be saved here. every time you make a change to the file and save it, a new back-up is generated.
hopefully you will never need this.
but you might

Ok so another quirk of YouTube I just noticed
I logged into my old junk mail account I used to browse with, but realized I haven't been on YouTube with it for several years. Haven't configured adblock as well. So Google is thinking that account as belongs to a man.
I'm getting exactly three kinds of ads:
Mobile shovelware games. Also get those on other accounts.
Border patrol recruitments
Matt Walsh's new anti-DEI movie
Absolutely fucking wild. I was just as much of a commie by that point as I am now, and a lot of my actual recommended videos are pretty much what I would expect out of 2-3 years ago me: leftist video essays, a couple of gaming and popsci channels, that kind of thing. The major difference is that most of my other Google browsing history linked to things like women's clothing and directly related to transgender and women's issues is on my newer account. So it's picking up that I'm a "man" on my other account, and trying to force me down a conservative rabbit hole. Interesting.
