#cooper would not like creek in this au.

Note
Haaayy can you tell us more about your au where branch finds cooper's egg?
Hiiii!! Thanks for asking! And of course :)
lol turns out I had a lot more thought out. Fair warning, none of this is concrete, this was thought up a while ago and uhhhhh… writing is not my strong suit lol
In this au I had debated whether to make copper a little bit younger, I already hc him as the youngest of the snack pack so idk if its needed lol.
While in the beginning of making his bunker, branch (who’s maybe 7??) would travel farther out into the forest and gather supplies to build when he stumbles on what looks like an egg? Just in time too, ‘cause Coops pops out like in twt, does his little groove, & then proceeds to flop over to nap (being baby is tiring work).
Branch is just ??? cause like what?? Baby? Way out here in the woods?? Why does the baby have 4 legs??? Why is said baby all alone? And that last part makes b pause for a sec bc where’s his family? Did he lose them? Or is it even worse…was he left behind? (He might be projecting a lil).
Cooper and Branch proceed to live where other kids w/o families go. Caretakers try to care for cooper & he is not having it. After all, branch is the first person he’d ever seen, was the first person who’d carried him. He’s imprinted on branch and whole heartedly believes and he is his family. So if C needs to be taken care of B has to be there. It goes on long enough that the caretaker decides it'll just easier if branch helped take care of him; and who knows maybe he'll regain his color being around such a happy little goober.
At first, branch doesn’t realize how much he means to C and assumes his attachment will fade. After all why wouldn’t it when he’s being doted on by warm and cheerful trolls. But nope! Whenever the caretakers aren't taking cooper around the village, Cooper is always following Branch. Around the pod, and through the woods. Branch looks out for him, talks to him, teaches him what he can, and even plays games! I think the fact that branch has been a part of Coopers whole life gives him a sense of obligation perhaps like a big brother?. It's easy to be open to him.
All attempts to foster Cooper are unsuccessful. It's not that Cooper doesn't match the family, it's that he just doesn't want to live with them. Imagine a foster family having the time of their lives singing & playing around & when the time comes Cooper's like 'I had a lot of fun today! Time to go! what?? Stay here? be a part of your family? ...Nope :D
When the time comes that the bunker can feasibly house him, (preteen?) Branch packs up what little he owns, and prepares to leave that night. It's not like the anyone at the orphanage would chase after him. Well, except for one trolling.
It's been years, long enough that their bond is strong, they're brothers in all but name. At least unnamed on branch's side, he kind of refuses to acknowledge it.
Anyway- Branch waits until everyone falls asleep and sneaks out. He doesn't even make it out of the room lol. One foot out the door and a sleepy voice is asking him where he's going. Branch just says he's going to the bunker, that he'll see him soon, it won't be forever you see what im trying to parallel? and it's true. It's not like he's leaving to who knows where. Cooper just nods & yawns out a "bye, see you later". Love me a parallel
Branch lasts an hour or two in the bunker. He's on edge the whole time, racked w/ guilt. Has a little mental spiral until there is just one loud thought of 'what am i doing? there's someone waiting for me' and runs back.
In the joined room, Cooper fell asleep on branch's bed waiting for him. So making sure not to wake him, Branch rests coopers head on his lap. Leaning against the headboard Branch just stares at his vest left at the end of the bed & has a moment of clarity. Like oh, that's why i felt terrible, i left my little brother behind. (Keep in mind that no, he didn’t really do that, but he’s a kid and that whole ‘see you later’ really shook him so he’s making some jumps in logic)(there some projecting happening as well)
So yeah, gained a brother!! yay!!! Cooper beat you to that revelation yeeaarrrss ago lol.
One thing I like about branch being a big bro is this idea that the more he learns about what it means to be one, the less he can understand his brothers. And are they his brothers?? Over the years it’s not looking like it.
#asks#wow didn't think i had that much to say lol#i bet this premise had been thought about before#but it’s still nice to think about :)#make no mistake branch still pretty much lives in the bunker. He only stays in the pod when it’s relatively quiet enough.#there are a lot of bunker sleepovers whenever there’s an overnight party#he officially move out when he’s considered old enough to be coopers carer. Until then he studies up & prepares the bunker#branch has a blue hue to him. it happens gradually so no one really notices#imagine when branch carried bby coops back to the villlage C reaches up and puts his face in hair cause y’know he’s baby#and this baby has a long enough neck to reach#thinking Cooper is 17/18 during first trolls events??#branch is the tiniest bit more integrated into the village#he stays around the outskirts for cooper some days#coopers hangs out in the village if his friends are there. he also likes to join in on some singing and dancing as long it isn’t too loud#he's still part of the snack pack i think?#cooper would not like creek in this au.#lol cooper just straight up tells creek something like ‘wow you sure are full of yourself huh'#lol coopers blunt honesty would probs be more prevalent.#also important point that this all happens while B is a kid#he’s more receptive than if he was older; he hasn’t built thst high of walls around him#rn he’s more sad and scared rather than being at odds w/ the village#first time writing out a… plot summary?? au synopsis??#Thanks for asking!!! uh hopefully you guys liked the ramble :)#any of this can change tbh :) its all been brainstorms for now#idk what i would call this au if i did make it.#i am cringe but i am free#b&c au ??

Trolls - Amnesia-Rock-Prince!Branch in An Arranged Marriage Au - Role Reversal Au (part 1)
SO, so earlier I read a fic where Poppy didn't go to branch for help in the first movie and the village was left abandoned with Branch as the only survivor after the revival of Trollstice. Meaning he was alone when Barb invaded...And it has inspired a different route on to how Char and Poppy would meet.
Char = Branch as it would.
We start with the events of the first movie. Poppy would run off to save her friends and she would succeed, however, when they arrived back to the village there wasn't anyone there. Or at least that's what the snackpack thinks. They find little Keith crawling out of some of the fresh rubble, he has a small frown but it was Shocking to Poppy as the boy was usually expressionless. From Keith they learn that the bergens came back while they were trying to leave, and his dad hid him in a bush. The attack was days ago...
Some members of the SnackPack want to go back to get the rest of the village, but Poppy knows that she barely got her friends out of there, an entire village was a completely different challenge, and Trollistice had already passed...They would need help. There had to be people out there who would help them.
Staying in the village is out of the question, so they gather what they can from the destruction, and move on. They walk for days, and living in the woods is harder then expected. It really opens Poppy's eyes to the true nature of the wilderness, especially since she's taking care of Keith (the Blank child clings to her since she found him). They try singing to keep their spirits up, but singing attracts predators. Large spiders and snakes, come at them from all directions. Creek (no he didn't betray them...yet) can't talk them down. Food is scarce, they don't know which berries are safe. And eventually they all get caught in a storm, getting washed away.
By some miracle they all wake up the next morning by the edge of the forest. Before them stretches vast plains, some patches of the ground darkened in ways they are un-familiar. Here they are faced with a choice go back into the forest with all it's dangers or face the unknown ones just beyond the threshold. Creek tries to argue that they should stay with what they know, convincing Biggie, Guy Diamond (who has been feeling sick), and the twins that they shouldn't take a chance. However, Poppy, Cooper, DJ, smidge and Fuzzbert think that the unknown is worth the risk. Cooper saying he was technically from the unknown, and maybe they could find where he was born. In the end Creek is out-voted.
The plains are different. There aren't as many spiders or birds, but snakes are still an issue as well as a lack of natural shelter for the sun. its hot, and it only grows hotter. the land slowly becomes more and more burnt, more and more black. The ground is turning their feet red as they walked. Then they heard a screech, and were swarmed with Leather Vipers (leather Vipers are the main predators in my version of Rock Troll territory, basically picture a mix of snake/ Dragon made of polished leather and glowing warped metal teeth, claws and horns). It looks like the end, until they hear a second screm from above.
And Anglerbus is over head, and jumping from it, are...other trolls. Coming to the SnackPack's rescue. A few power cords and the vipers are scared off. Poppy feels great relief at seening them. They weren't the last trolls, these guys were here, and even better they had ways to defend themselves. In her eyes they were saved. Creek while thankful to not be dead, isn't as welcoming of these strangers. These dully color strangers covering in scares and scowling at them. At least on the surface, he's still "polite" to get the aid their group desperately needed.
Val Thundershock is part of the group that was on the Anglerbus, she's a little surprised to find a group of Pop trolls (and one funk) out in the Rock Wastes. No one knew where the Pop trolls had gone since the split and frankly no one cared, however she did want to know why they would suddenly invade the territory.
Val: Well, Well, Well, we got us some little pop trolls, now what exactly are you doing in Rock territory?
Poppy: Hi, first off thank you so much, we would've been if it wasn't for you.
Val: yeah I know, now what are you doing here? I hope you realize that Pop trolls aren't exactly welcome here.
Creek (rudely cuts in): Pop trolls?
Val: That's what you are right? Peppy, over excited, happy music lovers?
Poppy: Well kinda...
Val: Then you might as well turn around. Your kind isn't welcome here.
Poppy: Wait please!
Val: Go home, there's nothing for you here
Poppy: We don't have a home! Our home was destroyed by the bergens! We're all that's left!
Val dismissal is finally the thing that gets Poppy to shout. Finally accepting that yes her home is gone and that they were the only survivors. They all had been ignoring the subject while the woods. It's a hard truth to swallow, but one she chokes down to get Val to listen. And listen Val does. When Poppy confirms that they were indeed the last pop trolls. Val immediately shifts gears, as even if the tribes didn't get along, Genres needed each other to remain in balance. Not since the dancing plague of the disco tribe did one go completely extinct. Still it isn't her call, to preserve the genre. Thankfully she was on the same ride, as a very close friend to her. She tells one of the Rockers to contact Prince Char.
Creek, pulls Poppy aside, and expresses his concerns over these new trolls. Saying they shouldn't trust them. Poppy asks why, and Creek starts explaining that he was warned about trolls who were dulled. Saying that when he was a child there had been a grey trolling who lived near by and that grey one had killed his own grandmother. Poppy, says that she understands that Creek is scared, but they don't really have a choice. AT that moment Guy would throw up adding to Poppy's argument, saying that at the least they need food, shelter and a doctor for Guy. Creek can't really argue, especially since one of the Rock trolls came over to help the twins ease Guy too the ground.
The Anglerbus would land, and Char would walk out. The Rockers salute him as their prince, and that kind of intimidates Poppy, as while she is a Princess, she never actually interacted with another member of Royalty beyond her Dad. And Char is by far the dullest of all the strange trolls. Creeks words getting to her. Speaking of the idiot, he steps in to be the first to speak to the Prince.
Creek: Prince Char, it is lovely to meet you, I hope to extend an arm in friendship yes?
Char (not shaking Creek's hand): You speak for this group?
Creek: Well in a way. I-I wouldn't go that far. Second in command or spiritual leader might be a better fit. I do hope we can-
Char: cut to the chase, what is your business here?
Creek (taken aback): We come for aid, please it was horrible our village is destroyed. As fellow trolls we need to stick together.
Char (laughing dryly): You come here preaching unity after your kind split us apart. it's so ironic its funny.
Creek: I believe I don't understand.
Char: Centuries ago, the six tribes lived in harmony, until the Pop trolls, you kind tried to wipe out the rest of us. Destorying out music and culture triggering the great split and forcing us from our homes. Seem's the universe has come back to bit you.
Creek: I'm not sure where you've heard that but I assure you these rumors are not true in the slightest.
Char: they're aren't rumors their history. My people wouldn't be living out in these wastelands if it weren't for the split.
Creek: Then your history is incorrect. We'd never do such a thing, all trolls are supposed to be friends.
Char: *hum*, Treat there wounds, but start the bus, you'll receive no aid from us.
Creek: What?
Char: Don't act shocked, you gave everything I need to know. That "greater then thou" act won't fly here. You're intentions are not ones I can put trust or faith in, because they are not genuine. Go back to your king or and queen and tell them if they were trying an invasion, we the people of Rock will not hesitate to rain down hell fire on your home land.
Poppy: Wait! Please! *runs towards Char, with Keith in her arms only to be blocked by the Rockers* We're telling the truth! We don't have a home to go back too! We're all that's left Please help us!
Char: And who are you?
Poppy: I'm Princess Poppy, and I'm begging you. Help us.
Char: Take them up, get them settle, doctors food water. Then bring the princess to my quarters. We need to talk privately.
______
And I'll cut this off here. There's going to be a part 2.

Amnesia! Branch AU Chapter 2
AO3: Link Part 1: Here
Summary: Branch wakes up in a world that he doesn't fully understand, and finds that everything has changed.
Chapter 2:
The hospital is so bright and loud. The fluorescent lighting that illuminates the ICU hurts his eyes. And these machines won’t stop beeping. Each beep is like a knife into his brain.  A far cry from Branch’s dark and quiet bunker. He can feel the IV digging into his skin, shifting every time he so much as breathes.
But even with this sensory hell, all he can think about is Poppy. Dr. Moonbloom referred to her as queen, a title that Branch dreaded Poppy getting for years. And the way that she acted. Hugging him, holding his hand, being there by his side.  It’s a way that Branch had dreamed of her acting for a long time. Did they start dating? No. That’s impossible. There’s no way Poppy would ever be with someone like him. Besides she likes Creek. Not him. Never him.
Then his mind wanders over to his brothers. Are they really beyond those white doors waiting for him? Have they really cared enough to reconnect with him? And what of Spruce? Poppy mentioned John Dory, Floyd, and Clay, but didn’t mention Spruce. Maybe he really died like he always assumed his brothers did. Damn. He hopes not. Even if he’s been angry at them for almost his entire life, he never wished for death on any of them.
Dr. Moonbloom checks up on him. “How have you been feeling?”
“Confused, mostly.” Branch says. “I don’t understand what’s going on.”
She writes that down in her clipboard. “Well, that stands to reason. You’ve lost the last four years of your memory. Now, I would catch you up on what you have missed, but I have a feeling that Queen Poppy would prefer to do that herself.”
It’s so strange to her Poppy referred to as Queen Poppy. He guesses that it’s just something that he is going to have to get used to. But he still doesn’t fully understand why Poppy is so insistent on helping him. As much as he wants to spend all his time with Poppy, he isn’t sure if could handle it. He looks up at Dr. Moonbloom who stands there with her trademark indifferent expression. “When am I going to be able to go home?”
Dr. Moonbloom looks back down at her clipboard. “Well, given the injuries you sustained we want to keep you here for a few days for observation. After that, you’ll be able to go back to your bunker.”
His bunker! If he’s not there who’s going to maintain it! He’s never been away from his bunker for more than a few hours. Being here in the open, injured, and surrounded by strangers, makes him want to get up and hide in his bunker. But these damn IV lines in his arm won’t let him. “I’ll be here for a couple more days?” He asks. The thought of being in this overstimulating hospital ward for another few days makes him wish he’d have died out there.
“Yes and no. Given your stable condition you’ll be moved to your own personal hospital room at the request of Queen Poppy. Now, I have other patients to attend to. A nurse will be here to move you shortly.” Dr. Moonbloom leaves Branch lying alone in the hospital bed.
There it is again. Poppy is referred to as queen. It was something he knew would happen someday, since she’s King Peppy’s only child. But he never expected it to happen so soon. Does that mean King Peppy is dead? He hopes that Peppy simply stepped down. He’d hate for Poppy to have to feel the pain of losing someone close to her.
It isn’t long until Dr. Moonbloom’s words come true. A couple of nurses come and help Branch into a wheelchair. Apparently, they don’t trust him enough to walk. There’s something strange about one of the nurses helping. She looks just like Cooper except different.  In fact, as they wheel him to the room where he’s staying, he notices a lot of different trolls. Some are like Cooper and the nurse, others are small and gold, a few are fish-like, some are half-horse, and there are multiple trolls that have more muted colors like him but have much sharper features. He wonders if he doesn’t have memory loss but was rather knocked into some sort of warped nonsense dimension.
The hospital room he was moved to is incredibly nice. It’s so spacious, even though Branch isn’t going to be moving around much. A nightstand next to the bed with a lamp on it. There’s a small couch and an armchair meant for visitors.
Normally, Branch would assume that he won’t have any, But with Poppy and his brothers, he might actually have someone come visit him. That’s such a foreign thought to him. Frankly, he isn’t sure he welcomes it. He’s gotten so used to going through everything alone that the mere thought of someone being there for him when he’s at his weakest makes him anxious.
What really catches his eye in the hotel room is the window. It’s large and lets sunlight stream into the room. And it has an amazing view of Troll Village. Looking through it he can see all the different pods hung up on the branches. There’s all sorts of trolls going about their daily lives. It’s a world that Branch feels like he can never truly be a part of.
It isn’t long before there’s a knock at his hospital door. The door opens to reveal Poppy standing in the doorway. She’s holding a tote that’s so heavy; it’s causing her to lean. “Hey Branch!” She says. Her voice is excited and perky as it always is. She’s smiling so wide. If it weren’t for her eyes Branch would assume that she was happy.  They are red and puffy. The mascara and eyeliner around them is smudged.
“Have you been crying?” Branch asks. Never in the entire time of Branch knowing her has he ever seen her cry. She’s always been so happy and upbeat. The thought of her being sad enough to cry is unnerving.
“What? No. I’m fine,” Poppy says. Her smile falters a little.
“Okay…” Branch doesn’t believe her. But he doesn’t want to push the issue. He knows how much it sucks for people to try and get you to tell you what’s wrong when you do not want to. He glances down at the tote. “What’s with the bag?”
Poppy perks up again. “I brought scrapbooks of everything that’s happened!” She pulls the armchair to Branch’s bedside. It makes a low groan as it scrapes against the floor.
He looks at the tote again. It’s almost ripping at the seams from the weight of all the scrapbooks. “Looks like there’s a lot,” Branch remarks.
“There is!” Poppy sits down in the chair next to Branch. “We’ve done so much over the last four years.” She pulls out a couple of scrapbooks and shows them to Branch. “These are the three really big ones where our lives changed the most.” The scrapbooks are labeled “Befriending the Bergens”, “Troll Tribe Togetherness”, and “BroZone: Here we Bro-again”.
“Befriending the Bergens?” Branch repeats the title of the first scrapbook. He looks up at Poppy with a skeptical expression. “There’s no way we befriended the Bergens. Did you forget that they used to eat us every year?”
“No, I didn’t. Besides they all agreed to stop eating us two years ago! And ever since then we’ve all been friends!”
“There’s no way that I would ever be friends with a Bergen.” He crosses his arms.
“Well…” Poppy chuckles. “You did.” She opens up the third scrapbook. On the first page is Branch in a suit standing next to a Bergen. Poppy points to the picture. “That’s you and King Gristle at his wedding! You were his best man!”
Branch cannot look away from the image. There he is. Next to the Bergen king. Someone he swore would always be his enemy. “There is no way that’s real.”
“It is.” Poppy puts down the scrapbook. “I know that us befriending the Bergens is going to be hard for you to understand without your memories, because I know that what happened with your grandma deeply affected you.”
Branch’s blood runs cold. Poppy knows his most deeply held traumas. All the years and all the effort of hiding himself from her were undone in just four years.  “I told you about my grandma?”
“Yeah, in a pretty dramatic way actually.” She grabs the first scrapbook. “I detailed it in here. If you read it, you’ll see that it happened in the past. Things have changed. You’ve changed.” Her voice is soft.
For a second, Branch doesn’t respond. He doesn’t know how. His gaze goes to the wall across from him. A flurry of thoughts fly through his head. He’s felt more emotions in the couple of hours since waking up than he has in years. Was that good? Was that bad? He isn’t sure. What he does know is that he doesn’t like it.
Poppy gently takes Branch’s hand. “Hey, we don’t have to go through this all right now. That’s why I brought the scrapbooks. So, you can read through them at your own pace.” Branch looks up at Poppy. She has a soft smile on her face. “Though if you want, I can go through them with you. Fill you in on all the little details the scrapbooks miss.”
“I… I.. guess I do have some questions,” Branch says.
“Ask away!” Poppy says.
Branch takes a second to think. There’s a million questions buzzing about in his brain. There is one that keeps showing up in his mind. One that he’s been having trouble getting used to. “When did you become queen?” he asks.
“A couple of years ago. Right after we befriended the Bergens, my dad abdicated and gave the crown to me!” Poppy says. She opens up the first scrap book to an image of her and Branch holding hands and standing on top of a toadstool. “You were actually right there beside me at my coronation.”
Poppy smiles gently as she brushes the picture. “Actually, you’ve been by my side for pretty much my entire reign as queen,” she says. A lone tear falls down her face.
There’s a bit of pain in Branch’s heart. He’s happy that Poppy didn’t have to lose her dad. But she lost him. Or at least she lost the troll that he was before he lost his memory. It’s strange to the see the woman you love mourn you while you’re still alive “I wish I could remember it.” Branch says.
“I wish you could too.” Poppy wipes away the tear. “But we’ll work on getting those memories back!”
There’s that typical Poppy optimism that has pestered Branch for years. The optimism that made Branch fall for her in the first place. Though Branch doesn’t feel as optimistic about him getting his memories back. “Something else that’s been on my mind.”
“Yeah?” Poppy asks.
“What were we? Before I lost my memory, I mean.” Branch takes a deep breath. “Because it seems like we were more than friends.” Though Branch doesn’t really hold hope that she ever returned his feelings.
Poppy pauses at that question. Her eyes start to well up with tears. “We are… well…” She takes a deep breath in and blinks away the tears in her eyes. “We were dating.”
Branch’s heart almost stops at Poppy saying that. They were together. And he doesn’t remember a damn thing about it. This feels like another joke that the universe has played on him. “We were dating?” he repeats lightly. “How? And since when?”
Poppy picks up the “Troll Tribe Togetherness” scrapbook. She turns to the very end. On that page there’s Poppy, Branch, and a bunch of other trolls that Branch doesn’t know standing in a coliseum. The little Branch and Poppy scrapbook characters are holding hands. “It was right after Barb tried to steal all the strings. After I smashed her guitar and temporarily destroyed all music, we sang a song that brought music back to the world. And there on that stage is when you said, ‘I love you’ for the very first time and that’s when I said it back to you. After that we were always together.”
Branch is quiet. He wants to say something, but what? What could he possibly say to that? That sounds like such an amazing moment, like something out of Branch’s wildest dreams. And he doesn’t remember it.
Rage wells up inside him. He’s had so much stolen from him over his life. His parents, his brothers, his grandma. And now he’s had four years of memories stolen from him. Memories where he lived a happy life. A life that he thought would never be possible. He wants to rage against everything. He wants to tear everything apart. He wants to scream and scream and scream. But he can’t. He doesn’t want to say anything to hurt Poppy.
“Do you want to see my favorite scrapbook?” Poppy says.
This snaps Branch out of his own mind. He looks at her. She has a soft smile on her face, though her eyes are still misty. “Sure,” Branch says.
Poppy pulls out a brown scrapbook. It’s unlike all the other scrapbooks Branch has seen. The construction is shoddy. On the front there’s a poorly drawn image of Branch and Poppy inside a heart and written in abysmal handwriting is “Branch and Poppy’s Great Adventure”.
He stares at it for a second. “This is your favorite scrapbook? Why?” Branch asks.
“Because it’s the one you made for me,” Poppy says softly. She caresses the cover with a smile on her face.
“I made that for you?” Branch asks. Truthfully, he should have figured that out. He might know how to make traps that can catch anything and build a functional survival bunker, but crafts have never been his strong suit. It’s hard to focus on gluing paper together when you feel like any moment a Bergen is going to pick you up and eat you.
“Yeah, you did.” She hands the scrapbook to Branch. “I think maybe it’s best if you see what happened from your own perspective. Maybe that’ll wake up your memories!”
Branch opens the scrapbook. The construction of it is not any better on the inside. There’s so many little drawings of them, going on adventures, being with each other. The page that strikes Branch the most is near the beginning of the scrapbook. Him and Poppy are standing on top of a mushroom and holding hands. Written above them “You make me happy.”
Such as simple statement. But it feels like a stab in the heart. It’s a sentiment that he’s never expressed out loud, at least not that he can remember. Poppy makes him about as happy as he can be, which usually isn’t very much. But it seems like Poppy managed to break through every barrier he had set up over his life.
But without his memories, all those barriers are back-up. It feels like Poppy teleported behind them, and Branch doesn’t like that. As much as he loves her, as much as he wants to be close with her, having her be behind all his walls makes him feel panicked.
Branch looks over at Poppy. Her face has such a soft smile, one that Branch would hate to see go away. But they have to face reality. The one she’s smiling thinking about isn’t him. He looks away from her. “I know you want me to say that I remember everything now, but I don’t. Nothing in this scrapbook is familiar.”
For a millisecond, the smile on Poppy’s face fades. But she forces it back up. “Well, that’s okay! No one expects you to remember everything right away!” She takes Branch’s hand. “And while you get your memories back, your brothers and I will be here every step of the way.”
Oh, that’s right. He’d been so distracted by his forgotten past with Poppy; he forgot that his brother’s came back. “I can’t believe it. I thought I’d never see any of my brothers again.” Branch looks at Poppy. “It’s not some prank right? They’re really here?”
Pranks have been pulled on him in the past. A lot of them were cruel and meant to stir up his paranoia about the Bergens returning. But Poppy never pulled them on him. Usually, she would get on the case of whoever was pranking Branch.  “It’s not a prank. They are really back. If you want to, you can see them. They’re actually in the waiting room right now.” Poppy says.
Truthfully, he still doesn’t know if he wants to see his brothers again. It seems like past him did. But from what he’s seen past him had a whole better life. All the anger at his brothers is still so fresh. He glances down away from Poppy. “I don’t want to see them.” His voice is angrier than he expected it to be.
“That’s alright. You can see them when you’re ready.” Poppy says. She gently smiles at him. “Meanwhile, I’ll be here for you.”
Branch looks at her. Even though she’s smiling, he can tell that she’s struggling to keep up this façade. “Is anyone going to be there for you?”
Immediately after asking Branch feels a little dumb. Of course, there are going to be people there for her. She’s the most beloved troll in all of Troll Village. If she so much as sneezes, the entire village loses their minds.
Poppy puts her hand on Branch’s. “Don’t worry about me. Viva hasn’t really left my side, since you were hospitalized.”
“Who’s Viva?” Branch asks.
“Oh? Yeah!” Poppy perks up. “I forgot to tell you! She’s my long-lost big sister!”
“Wow.” Branch really cannot think of anything to say to that. “You have an older sister?”
“Yeah, I know. And my dad never mentioned her...” Poppy starts to go into a speedy talk about her sister. Branch is barely catching any of it. He’s hearing Clay’s name mentioned a couple times. But he isn’t sure in what context it’s being mentioned.
A sharp pain shoots through Branch’s head. “Augh!” he exclaims.
Poppy stops mid-sentence. “Oh my goodness? Are you alright?”
“Yeah, yeah.” Branch presses his hand against his head. “My head just hurts.” It could solely be from his head injury, but the insane amount of information and emotions that he’s had to process in the last hour definitely have not helped.
“I should probably let you rest.” She gets up to leave, but leaves the tote bag filled with scrapbooks behind. Before she turns the door handle, she looks back towards Branch and smiles. “Don’t worry, I’ll be back tomorrow!”
With that statement, she leaves Branch alone in the hospital room. While Branch is sad to see Poppy go, he’s also relieved. Now, he can sit and process every thing without worrying if what he says is going to hurt Poppy.
____
Closing the door, Poppy feels a wave of exhaustion wash over her. She knows that she should have expected Branch to figure some things out. Nothing prepared her for the conversation about what the two of them were. Reminiscing on her and Branch’s relationship with Branch was one of the most painful things she’s ever experienced.
Right now, she just wants to go home and collapse. Well, what she really wants to do is collapse in Branch’s arms, tell him all about the day she’s had, and let her exhaustion melt away. But that’s not possible. She needs to be strong for Branch. Just as long as it takes for him to get back to how he used to be. Hopefully, that won’t be too long.
Helping Branch catch up isn’t the only tough job Poppy has to do. Now, she has to be the one to tell Branch’s brothers that he doesn’t want to see them. It’ll break their hearts, but it needs to be done.
Poppy takes a deep breathe to compose herself, and heads towards the waiting room.

(I got the idea from a comment that I thought was funny)
In the nomad au Cooper was at the bonfire that was Creeks death (not the Cooper from the what if post just normal Cooper) and he was just there no one questioned it (I would, because he doesn’t live there or even close to the village) to make matters worse he was the one to light the fire (fun parallel to the first movie) I thought it was funny because Cooper who has like no realatio to the village and has barely been there just POPS up out of nowhere!?!!?! to set a random fire and just LEAVES!?!?!?

I finally have my own Trolls AU! :D
I'm basically reversing the movie order, so Branch has to go deal with family matters first by saving Floyd, then deal with the Rockpocalypse and foreign matters, and finally cement himself as Poppy's right hand man by saving everyone from the bergens.
I can't decide if I want to get rid of the vacaytioners or not, I didn't really care for them, but this is what I have up til then!
Also I made a poll asking for thoughts about the vacaytioners.
-1
About 15 years after the pop trolls fled the Troll Tree, Branch (now 20) has decided his bunker is basically finished, it just needs to be stocked up, and accidentally lets this slip to Poppy. She decides this is a perfect opportunity to throw Branch a party and maybe get him to invest in the rest of the community now that his own place is set up and he can feel safe. We follow Poppy as she tries to get everyone excited for Branch’s accomplishment but no one seems terribly interested; we get flashbacks of some less-than-pleasant interactions the village has had with Branch over the years to explain their indifference.
Poppy’s group of friends (Creek 17, Guy Diamond 17, Biggie 16, Poppy 15, Satin and Chanille 15, DJ Suki 15, Cooper 14, and Smidge 13) are equally unsure, recognizing that Branch doesn’t like surprises, loud noises, sugary sweets, glitter… basically everything they associate with parties, but especially music. They try to convince Poppy to drop it but she refuses, deciding to throw him a party of two; she has gotten him to have some more-or-less friendly interactions when it’s just the two of them, so maybe this was for the best.
-2
Poppy manages to track Branch down while he’s doing chores that require him to be out of the bunker; she would often just follow him around while he does these, and even help him sometimes, or at least listen while he explains what he’s doing and why. This time she convinces him to join her for a lunch picnic and we get to see that Branch isn’t quite how the villagers described him, at least not with Poppy.
Then her friends decide to show up, feeling bad for abandoning Poppy’s idea earlier, and all hell breaks loose as they try to throw a party the only way they know how; big, loud, and crazy. Branch chews them out and is about to storm off when a large critter bursts into the clearing, causing everyone but Branch to panic. Branch jumps in front of the group protectively before he leads the critter to a nearby trap he'd set (the one he’d been working on while Poppy was convincing him to have lunch) and everyone is super impressed.
Then, out of the critter pops another troll!
-3
John Dory comes in like a wrecking ball, introducing himself as Branch’s big brother, which surprises everyone; they had no idea Branch had a brother! “Uh, yeah, Branch has four brothers; you never told your friends about us?” “We’re not exactly friends. And we’re not exactly family after you all abandoned me. How did you even find me?” JD says he’s been basically wandering around to different troll villages since he got Floyd’s note and was drawn by the sounds of a party (“I knew it would attract predators.”). Which reminds him, Floyd is trapped and needs their help! John Dory shows Branch the note and tells the group how he went to Mount Rageous to scope the place out on his own and confirmed (among other things) that Floyd was indeed being held against his will, in a diamond container… And they both know there’s only one thing strong enough to shatter diamond.
The Perfect Family Harmony.
There are mixed feelings in the group as Branch frees Rhonda the Armadillo Bus (cousins of the caterbuses the pop trolls already use). If there was a brother Branch would be willing to go save, it was Floyd; as much as he hated the idea of leaving the relative safety of Troll Village, he was going. Creek thought that leaving Troll Village was a terrible idea; they have no proof beyond this strange troll’s word, and being related to Branch isn’t exactly a good selling point. Poppy was absolutely going, and may have even if Branch wasn’t. The rest of the group hemmed and hawed, mostly agreeing with Creek that this seemed like something to leave to the adults, or some other kind of authority. The group of would-be adventurers is at least convinced to talk to King Peppy about it first, and rest overnight before getting back on the road.
Everyone piles into Rhonda and JD shows off while endearing himself to Poppy’s friends. Among other things, he reveals the brothers were in a band called BroZone, which only serves to annoy Branch further. Several of the friends recognize the name but are confused; Branch doesn’t sing so he must not have been in the band. Nope, Bitty B had the voice of an angel and a falsetto made of gold; an absolute natural on stage! “And yet it still wasn’t enough to keep you all around, so what does that say about the rest of me?” JD cringes hard at this, saved by another friend asking who wrote a few of their favorite songs. Creek decides that, if he annoys Branch this much, JD must be an ok troll, despite his earlier misgivings. This annoys Branch even more.
-4
They eventually get to Peppy’s pod and Branch manages to keep Poppy’s friends out, leaving only him, JD, Princess Poppy, and King Peppy to talk. Once brought up to speed, Peppy offers whatever supplies Branch and John Dory think they might need to save their brother, but recognizes he couldn't risk the safety of any of his other subjects to help them more than that. He also forbids Poppy from going but she argues that she’s old enough to choose how to help her soon-to-be subjects, which still includes Branch, and eventually storms out.
JD happily stocks up on supplies, showing off Rhonda to everyone who would give him the time of day but also wouldn’t let Branch leave his side. The pair get some mixed responses, due to Branch’s reputation as well as mistrust for the large critter herself, but John Dory is nothing if not charismatic and with Peppy’s stamp of approval as well as hearing about Floyd, the villagers give the pair whatever they ask for.
There’s probably a musical number in here somewhere, maybe Poppy and friends trying to help get JD supplies.
-5
Getting close to evening now, JD asks which pod is Branch’s, only to be told Branch doesn’t live in a pod; he lives in a bunker, away from the village. This concerns JD slightly but he hides it behind enthusiasm, wanting to see Branch’s bunker; it sounds impressive. Branch hesitates, at first telling JD he can just spend the night in Rhonda like he’s used to, but caves with some not-so-subtle praise; he really does want to show off what he’s made. He’s very proud of his bunker.
“Once it’s fully stocked, it’ll hold enough supplies to last me 10 years; 11 if I’m willing to store and drink my own sweat. Which I am! They all said I was crazy, huh? Well, when they find us, who’s going to be crazy? Me! Crazy prepared.” Branch starts going overboard, explaining the complex inventory system he’ll be using, what goes where and why, and John Dory is impressed, overwhelmed, and somewhat scared of how well thought out this plan is. “I’ll admit, I didn’t retain most of that, but it is damn impressive. You’ve obviously put a lot of thought into this.” Maybe a little too much thought…
JD tries to ask about Branch’s colors but chickens out when Branch bristles, instead saying he would actually like to sleep with Rhonda and he’ll see Branch in the morning. Branch doesn’t sleep well that night. (Visions of foreshadowing? Family flashback? Sneak peak of Floyd?)
-6
Morning comes and Branch is up bright and early, ready to brainstorm where their brothers might be. He knocks on the door of the sleeping armadillo bus, which opens to show a John Dory that hadn’t slept a wink, instead making a clue board with purple and yellow strings connecting various objects and scrawled notes. Appreciating the effort, Branch attentively listens as JD starts to explain his thought process but Branch quickly realizes the board is just as much of a mess as it looked. Branch takes over, going through things, asking what they were/meant, when/where he found them, and eventually Branch finds a postcard among the mess; there’s no name, no return address, no note, just a picture of an island with “Wish you were here" written in neon lettering in the sky. JD is convinced it's from Spruce, living on an island somewhere. Branch is dubious but with nothing better to go on, they head for the coastline to find the pictured island while they think of other options.
JD tries to bring up Branch’s color again but gives up pretty quickly; it’s obviously a sore subject. Instead, he starts telling tales about his travels just to fill the dead air and Poppy makes a comment. Suddenly realizing she’s there, both brothers freak out; it turns out she snuck into Rhonda while Branch was showing JD the bunker, hiding until she was sure they were well on their way (all three are now in the back living space while Rhonda is on a sort of auto pilot heading to the east coastline). They are both upset, Branch more than JD, but she begs them to not turn back; they’d lose a whole day of travel if they did and she really, really wants to go with them! JD is won over pretty easily but Branch is still salty. He goes up to the front just in time to see an island with the words “Wish you were here” floating in the sky above it. Exasperated, he tells the others.
Rhonda dives off a cliff into the water, swimming towards the island.

Ooo yes, okay! @1-random-ideas555g Here you go :)
My Pop World Tour draws inspiration from some of the Evil Pop aus that popped up after the second movie, but I tried to make it my own as much as possible
During the first movie things are more tense. The Bergens are not actually redeemable, and after the Snack Pack tries to leave Bridget, she nearly betrays them, before “actually” doing so later (she doesn’t do anything to save them, but she doesn’t actually betray them). Creek still is a traitor (and dies lol, I don’t like him), and during the Trollstice meal many are lost. The Trolls not eaten are placed back in the Troll Tree, the Bergens not thinking about the tunnels in their happy and carefree state. Poppy, Branch, and the Snack Pack survives, leading the survivors out.
It takes time for them to exit that shocked state, and the Pop Trolls are not good with grief. Poppy and Branch have already have a sort of situationship going on, and as they became the de facto leaders, they decided to become official. Despite the horrid situation and how their minds have become a little twisted, they’re genuinely really good with each other and loves the other a lot. Once they feel a bit more stable, and after Putt Putt, they get engaged, going through this adventure as fiancés, planning to get married when all Trolls are united
Poppy finds the Pop String in the rubble of her dad’s pod, alongside history books and journals. While the history books say what they do in the movie, the couple piece together Pop might have had a bigger, worse part of the schism by the fact they have the original harp/lyre. Poppy also discover her dad’s journals from when he was a young king and the tunnels were starting to be built, she learns about Viva, and the loss of more Trolls than she had learned. She becomes desperate to find them, refusing the thought they died twenty years ago. She wants to reunite them all, in a safe place where no one will find them, but she also has to ensure no one will betray them like Creek did. She learns about the Ultimate Power Chord, which can hypnotize a Troll into another genre, but there’s also a weaker version where you can use the String to hypnotize Trolls of the same genre of the String.
With the help of the String, they find Putt Putt Village, and while Viva is excited to see her sister, she is also scared by the younger. Viva and Clay built the community so it would be safe from danger. Why is every instinct in her body telling her that her baby sister is dangerous? She doesn’t want to hear her sister out on the World Tour, why can’t the survivors not just stay in Putt Putt where it’s safe? That frustrates Poppy, who uses the Pop String to hypnotize her and the other Trolls in the small village.
Meanwhile, Branch is speaking with his older brother. They’re both happy to see each other, they were close as kids, Branch having many moments where Clay was the favorite. However, the older just doesn’t see the vision. He doesn’t see why this will help and protect Trollkind. Branch isn’t listening to reason either, and he’s angry too with his older sibling. While he isn’t as deep in the obsession as Poppy, he truly believes in their plan and in his girlfriend. Still, he loves his brother and when Clay manages to escape from being hypnotized, he turns a blind eye to it. Poppy lets him, and promises he will get to reunite with his brothers soon and everything will be fine.
Clay figures something as powerful as the Music Strings won’t go down on its own. He hates it, but the Perfect Family Harmony might be what he needs. It was rumored to be able to break Diamond, after all, maybe it would snap his people out of their hypnotized state. He just hopes Branch will see reason when they attempt to hit it again
After that I don’t have much planned yet, as this is a fairly recent au project. I’m imagining that after they figure out Cooper is from Funk, they agree to let everyone keep their music, they just need to hypnotize them under it. I’m thinking Poppy and Cooper have a family bond in this au, possibly adopted siblings, so she really wanna do right by him! She wants Trolls to be happy and feel safe, and if that means not everyone is Pop, she can live with that

I remember you mentioned in one of your poppy posts for your replacment au that some of poppy friends where gone. So, that begs the question i have ever since i saw your recent post with poppy and barb, did copper make it out and if not, how the funk family took his death. seeing as poppy or anyone should mention him when they see prince d. Hell, when they first meet him in the movie, they thought he was copper for a sec. So, there is no way poppy, branch or creek should not see prince d and not get mini heart attack or be in shock to see him.
This was a very good and serious question. Let's go from the beginning.
Cooper is most likely dead. After all, Branch and Creek were only able to find Poppy. And they learned the likes of it from her... Returning to the topic - how the family reacted to the death of their son... If they found out, it would not be in all the details, so as not to traumatize them. But I can still hear the Queen’s heart cracking as I imagine the scene of the meeting with Cooper’s brother. (I delayed answering because I couldn’t reach my hands, sorry( )

Clone-centric Star Wars Fic Recs
Includes both Clone Wars and Bad Batch.
Stories marked with * include the clones using Mando'a and/or the clones having adopted Mando culture.
and the Force is with me by sauntering_down | 7.9k | oneshot
Rex, Cut Lawquane, Suu Lawquane
Summary:
When he opens his eyes, Cut is watching him steadily, fingers still locked around Rex’s wrist. “Interesting mantra,” he says. “Where’d you pick that up?”
Warnings: Graphic description of corpses, panic attacks, PTSD
(Rex deserves to be able to let himself process the fallout of Order 66 and this story lets him have that.)
Twilight on Owl Creek Bridge by yellow_caballero | 33k | oneshot
Fox, Leia Organa, Sheev Palpatine
Summary:
SUBJECT: Regarding Senate Guard Objectives For Today
This is a polite reminder to all guardsmen that patrol schedules for the Senate vote ratifying dictatorships are posted in the breakroom. I am also issuing a warning to linear time that days should follow sequentially and are not intended to repeat. Please cease repeating. I am getting a headache.
Additionally, I'd like to remind all guardsmen that it is illegal to harbor invisible women in the Senate. If you see a ghost claiming to be Leia Organa, please remove her from the premises. She will be making a scene.
Thank you for your cooperation in preserving the peace of the Republic, and all hail the Empire.
FOX
(Kind of time travel, kind of unstuck in time, both Fox and Leia are in for a not-so-great time)
An Hourglass in Hand by ecarian | 77.5k | multichapter | completed
Cody/Obi-Wan, Anakin, Rex, Ahsoka
Summary:
“I thought daemons didn’t eat,” Rex noted once, during a celebration feast, as he and Cody watched Boga devour her meal with some fascination. Varactyl she may be, but she was a tiny one. There wasn't much interior space for the truly momentous amount of meat she was ripping into.
Boga daintily rubbed her beak against a folded serviette that looked kind of like a bird, and said, prim, “I can do anything a human can do.”
“Oh?” Obi-Wan said mildly, from where he’d been tapping at a datapad. “Shall I save you a portion of these reports then?”
Warnings: Temporary character death
(The daemon-AU of my dreams. Cody is wonderfully snarky and there's just something so fun and satisfying about the writing style. I started reading this and couldn't stop.)
The Barking of Birds by Trixree | 1.2k | oneshot
Hound, Fox, Hound the bird
Summary:
When they finally catch up to this latest branch of the illegal exotic animal trade, they do so in a dingy warehouse nestled deep within the Lowers. It’s the cliche of all cliches.
What Hound couldn’t have predicted is the bird.
(Fox gets a foul-mouth parrot. Hound suffers for it.)
the keyring crown by littlekaracan | 39.5k | multichapter
Cody/Obi-Wan, Rex, Fox
Summary:
“You forget I’m not a Jedi.” Cody smiled to him, but even he heard the note of bitterness in his own voice. He was not like Obi-Wan – perhaps his brothers learned these things, but Cody hardly knew where even to begin. Hardly believed the plant, however determined, would last long in his care. “I don’t have the same…” He gestured, a little vaguely, somewhere in Obi-Wan’s direction. “…Growing tricks that you do.”
“There are no Jedi tricks involved in that sort of thing,” Obi-Wan said, voice well and truly soft now as his gaze rose from his mug to Cody. “It is not the cosmos which cultivates, at least for the most part.” He reached, gently, to close his fingers over Cody’s which were still wrapped around his mug. “It’s just your hands and your dedication.” He leaned in just a little bit, watching him - close and quiet. “And I know, darling, just how dedicated you can be.”
Warning: Panic attacks, aftermath of mind control
(The war is over and Cody is learning to live in the aftermath.)
*Art of War by Moxibustion (RyuuzaKochou) | 72.8k | multichapter
Echo, Hunter, Wrecker, Tech, Crosshair, Rex, Fox (Fives in absentia)
Summary:
Echo had never had any particular talents. He'd never sought to be special, never tried to break the mould. He'd never aspired to be anything more than a clockwork soldier, watching his far more brilliant brothers rise up above him. He'd never expected to wake up one day and find out that he was, in fact, the last of them.
Funny old galaxy, really.
Now he was in the Bad Batch and one thing he was rapidly beginning to understand is this: in a galaxy filled with combat engineers, the Bad Batch are artists. Echo had never really known much about art. At least... that's what he'd always thought. New body, new squad - maybe it was time to look at things in a whole new way.
A story about art, war, coping, hanging on, letting go, restoration, reforging, plotting in a brig, military intelligence isn't, Wrecker's diplomacy doesn't, cooking, the thin line between genius and madness, starting over, struggling with loss, team bonding, art therapy, guerilla knitting therapy, big boom therapy, shaking down shinies for fun and profit, guilt, rage, forgiveness, waging war by fitting in…
... and making your peace with standing out.
Warnings: Injury recovery, grief and mourning, PTSD
(Echo finds his place in the Bad Batch and comes to terms with never being able to go back to who he used to be.)
*their days are darker by always_a_slut_for_hc | 23.4k | multichapter
Wolffe, Fox, Cody, Bly
Summary:
After the death of ARC Trooper Fives, an altercation at 79's leads Wolffe to spend his leave snooping around the Coruscant Guard. Fox assumes he'll drop it and leave the Corries to their fate; it's what everyone else has done.
He is very, very wrong.
Warnings: Dehumanization, gaslighting
(The other Commanders finally learn what the Corries have been going through and it's not pretty.)
Dielectric Breakdown by Jessepinwheel | 65.4k | multichapter
Cody, Rex, Fox, Echo, Obi-Wan
Summary:
Cody had always believed the best of his General--strong, steadfast, and loyal. That is, until Obi-Wan suddenly assassinated the Supreme Chancellor and vanished without a trace, leaving the Republic scrambling in the fallout.
Five years later, Cody is still trying to pick up the pieces and understand why Obi-Wan betrayed them all.
(Cody doesn't know why the war ended the way it did and he can't let it go, despite the objections of his brothers.)
*Love Each Other With Abandon by Elthadriel | 25k | oneshot
Cody, Rex, Fox, Wolffe, Obi-Wan
Summary:
Cody tries to navigate his way through what might be the most awkward crush he could possibly have developed. Fortunately, his brothers are there to provide emotional support
Or, at the very least, provide amused commentary.
(The sibling dynamics in this story are perfect.)
*The Legend of Liob by Killbothtwins | 19k | oneshot
Cody, Waxer, Boil, Obi-Wan
Summary:
The Republic sends a combat photographer to be attached to the 212th until further notice, citing the need for a morale boost. The clones make up a fake clone, citing the absolute fact that it is very funny.
Somehow, these two things save the galaxy.
(Or show a fake clone brings down a Sith Lord.)
*sunshine and the shade of poetry by Petrichor (Mythmaker) | 33.2k | multichapter
Cody, Rex, Wolffe, Bly, Obi-Wan
Summary:
"Sorry sir, but I don't think we've met," Cody said, turning up the friendly customer service representative levels by two points.
To his delight, there wasn't really any visible change in his general's expression. "Have I neglected to leave an impression on you over the last several years?"
"I'm not sure you want an honest answer to that question, sir."
=====
The war comes to an abrupt end, and everyone around him begins the long road to recovery and discovery. Cody, on the other hand, just needs to find a new job.
Unfortunately, he has no idea what to do next.
(Cody's just trying to get by, convinced that he doesn't need or want a higher calling. He's disabused of this notion.)

Another opera moment!
Featuring the man who carries around his own opera glasses in the Klondike, one of the three greatest living legends of the West, and my actual great-great-great uncle...Sheriff Bat Masterson! Starring here as Jack Rance from La Fanciulla del West, because they’re both sheriffs and comics!Bat looks a lot like the particular performer I based this on (see the original screencap below the cut). And, y’know, I wanted to draw my uncle. :)
(Ignore the fact that I didn’t draw his hands. I just didn’t want to draw them. But pretend he’s shuffling cards. And I like how the brush strokes worked out here.)

The opera’s saloon is called the Polka, but it could just as easily be the Blackjack if you want. ;)

10, 11, and 12 off the Trolls ask list, please??
Sorry for the wait, this took way longer than I thought it would, but here are my answers!
10. Who’s your OTP from the franchise?
That's a tough question, there's so many good ones. If I really had to pick though, it'd be Brickoppy. . . and Breek don't judge me.
11. And, on the other side of the coin, who’s your NOTP in the franchise?
Like I said, there's a lot of good ships in the Trolls franchise. The only one I'm not a fan of is the heteronormative interpretation of Broppy.
12. Got any fic recs? Share ’em! Talk up your favorite authors! Spread the love around!
Ooh, here's a fun one! Prepare yourself, I'm 'boutta dump my entire collection of bookmarks on you guys. Fair warning, some haven't been updated in years, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll be completed one day!
Also, some of these do have sexual content, or potentially triggering subject matter, so I highly advise you read the tags before you start reading.
A Healthy Balance by Toxicthecat4836 is also a really good one. It's essentially a more fleshed out rewrite of the first movie. I find it really interesting because it doesn't feel like you're just reading the movie, it's an engaging story in it's own right.
Edit: Do not, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, harass or guilt the authors into updating. I do not care if they haven't updated in 4 days or 4 years. They will write at their own pace and it's our responsibility as readers to respect and support them. They are human beings, and they should be treated as such.
A Calming Bothersome Trip by WeirdNCrazy is a great one, to start off. It's set in AU where Branch is sent by King Peppy to act as an ambassador to the other 5 kingdoms. And there's found family! It's completed and 30 chapters long.
Come Hell or High Waters, I'll Stay by Your Side by FictionalDragonMother (@thicctails). This one is really interesting because it explores an AU where the trolls have more animalistic qualities like claws, fur patterns, and tails, with Branch and Cooper making contact with the other tribes several years before the first movie. Branch also struggles with his sense of belonging due to his parentage that’s being kept a secret from him.
When the Falls Turn Amethyst by Lawlly. This one is a Soulmate AU, as well as an AU where Branch doesn't regain his color and Creek doesn't turn traitor. Poppy makes Branch and Creek roommates after Creek’s pod gets destroyed, and they’re forced to confront their conflicting feelings about each other.
Bluetiful by PhoenixDiamond (@queentitan). Branch x Hefty is a ship I never thought I'd be into, but here I am. Their dynamic is so exciting to read as they figure each other out and fall in love on the way, and the dynamics between the Smurfs and the Trolls in general are very interesting, but I don’t want to spoil anything on that end.
Lean On Me by PriestessOfNox (@priestessofnox). This one was actually inspired by Bluetiful and diverges from the original fanfic after the fourth chapter. It is 78 chapters long people! And it's not even done! I can't deal, I can't even put to words how much I love this fanfic. You just gotta read it to get it. There are discussions of sexual assault and one flashback in chapter 52, but it doesn’t get very graphic.
It Hits You Like A Train by QueenEchidna. Another Breek fanfic. The pining is immaculate in this one, and their dynamic super fluffy without sacrificing their individual personalities. However, I will warn you, there is a flashback at the end of chapter 7 containing domestic violence and explicit sexual assault that isn't between the main pairing. If either of those are triggers for you, I would not recommend reading this one, or the end of that specific chapter at the very least.
Destiny's Bloom by PhoenixDiamond. This one is kind of a Soulmate AU but they don't use the word. Creek and Branch find out they're partners and try to have their partnership nullified, which ends up backfiring, and now they have to learn to live together, while learning more about each other beyond their perceptions of the other and tentatively rekindling their childhood friendship. (I am just now realizing that most of the Breek fanfics I read make them share a space before it gets to the romance bits and I don’t know if I should laugh at that or not)
All Trolls Used to Go to Heaven by PriestessOfNox. Crossovers are amazing, especially this one. It's loosely inspired by All Dogs Go to Heaven, where Creek resurrects himself with the watch of his life after getting eaten by the hill monster to save Poppy from an afterlife in purgatory. What really drew me in though is the mystery. You can't glean anything about where the plot will go from the tags because there's only 3. It's rated Teen though so I wouldn't worry about it going into 18+ territory.
Automatic by AllCatsUnite. Poppy strikes a deal with Branch that, in exchange for a month of no over the top parties or musical numbers, Creek will teach him about meditation for a month. They end up accidently bonding, and start hanging out together of their own volition.
The Rock Creek AU by @captainunderkrupp. This one is technically not up yet but I’m going to promote it anyway because I’m that excited about it. This fic will be great for angst-lovers and people who like a good redemption arc. While there will be some dark themes, the author is working to make it as accessible as possible for people who want to read it.

Summer 1993
Maxwell tucked his daughter into bed and switched on the nightlight. "What book would you like me to read to you tonight?" Maxwell asked, pushing the reading glasses that were perched on his nose into a more comfortable place. He kneeled down, his back aching slightly with age, and flicked through the many children's book your child had the privilege of owning.
"Daddy?" your daughter asked, shuffling around slightly under her pink silk bedding. She reached over and grabbed her favourite teddy bear, nursing it in her arms.
"Yes princess?" Maxwell replied, pausing momentarily from looking through his daughters books and turning to face the little girl. Her eyes were big and sparkling, and they reminded Maxwell of your own eyes.
"What's a soulmate?" her voice was sweet like honey, innocence dripping from her tongue as she blinked her pretty eyes with curiosity.
Maxwell pondered for a moment, hesitation filling his gut. Maybe this would be a better conversation for you to have with her; he thought. Maxwell was never really good at explaining such topics, or talking about feelings. But, this was his daughter— and she was as pure as could be. He wanted her to know. He wished that his parents had told him of the concept long before he found out about it.
Maxwell straightened himself up and shuffled closer to his daughter. He wrapped an arm around her and pulled her into his chest. She shuffled her head slightly trying to get comfortable, but in the process, her hair got caught in the little clip of his suspenders. Maxwell carefully removed her hair and brushed it out of her face. He had never prepared himself for this conversation; so he was just going to do what you always encouraged him to do. Speak from his heart.
"It's uh... Well, it's like a best friend but more. It's the one person in the world that knows you better than anyone else. It's someone who makes you a better person. Actually, they don't make you a better person, you do that yourself - because they inspire you. A soulmate is someone who you carry with you forever. It's the one person who knew you and accepted you and believed in you before anyone else did, or when no one else would. And no matter what happens, you will always love them. Nothing can ever change that."
"So… mommy is your soulmate?" your daughter asked her father. Maxwell nodded, a small blush creeping on his cheeks. "Who is my soulmate?"
"I don't know princess, that's something you'll learn for yourself one day." Maxwell said, planting a gentle kiss into his daughter’s forehead. "Why did you ask such a question?"
Your daughter's mouth twisted into a proud smile that could only be comparable to one of Maxwell Lord. "Today, at school, Augustus held my hand during recess. And my friend, Katherina, told me that little Gussy might be my soulmate."
Maxwell furrowed his eyebrows. "Who's Augustus?" he frowned, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Augustus Emmeline the third!" Your daughter beamed.
"The third, huh?" Maxwell raised his eyebrow. "My little treasure, you tell daddy if he ever hurts you, okay?"
"Gussy would never hurt me." your daughter rolled her eyes, a small giggle escaping her lips.
Maxwell figured tonight wasn't the best time to explain the woes of heartbreak to his eight year old daughter, so he let her comment slide. He kissed her nose again and turned out her night light. "Get some sleep sweetheart, you have ballet and piano recitals tomorrow."
"Okay daddy, I love you." she shuffled to her side and clutched onto her teddy bear even harder, closing her eyes.
"I love you too." Maxwell smiled before leaving her bedroom.
You were in the kitchen, changing the cat litter, when your husband snuck up from behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing your neck. He rocked his hips into yours, swaying side to side like he was dancing with no music. "What you doing?" Maxwell sing-song’ed in your ear. You laughed, tearing yourself out of his grip.
"Sorting out Lady's litter," you grimaced, nodding your head towards the long haired white cat who was sitting by the back door, innocently staring at you and Max.
"Thought I could smell something." Maxwell pinched the bridge of your nose and you gave him a roll of your eyes.
"Did she go to sleep okay?" You asked Maxwell, setting the cats litter tray back in place. Lady Lord, your white kitty, mewled a 'thank you' before scurrying off into the living room.
"Yes," Maxwell nodded. "She did, however, ask a strange question," you looked at your husband, prompting a further explanation. "She asked me what a soulmate was."
"She did?" you raised an eyebrow in inquiry, washing your hands in the sink and drying them with a soft towel. "What did you tell her?"
"You know," Maxwell shrugged. "Just spoke from my heart. Like you always tell me too."
You smiled, approaching your husband and tugging on the straps of his suspenders. "Good."
"It reminded me of when we found out we were soulmates." Maxwell smirked and you let out a sigh. "Do you remember?"
"Oh my goodness Max, how could I forget?"
Winter 1984
"I refuse to believe that this monster is my soulmate." you growled, eyeing up Maxwell Lord up and down feeling nothing but disdain for the smarmy businessman.
"Well baby, you better believe it." Maxwell rolled his dark brown eyes, a devilish smirk sprawled across his lips.
It irked you- it angered you. Every little thing he done annoyed you; and now this revelation? You were beginning to believe he was playing a sick prank on you— and he had Diana and Steve in on it as well. You couldn't understand why they'd share Maxwell's malicious intentions against you (or so you presumed they were malicious… everything that man did was suspect), but you wouldn't put it past Maxwell to manipulate them.
"It's true," Diana sighed, shrugging her shoulders casually. "Eros told me himself."
"Eros." you deadpanned, placing your hands on your hips and knotting your eyebrows together in unamusement. In the corner of your eye, you spotted Maxwell's smirk grow as your annoyance festered inside of you.
"Or more commonly known as Cupid," Captain Steve Trevor beamed, innocently spewing out his unwanted explanation.  "Eros is the winged God of Love. He shoots two people with his arrow and they become soulmates. They find each other and they fall in love." You studied Classics at university; of course you knew who Eros was.
"I know who he is!" You spat furiously and Steve raised his hands in defense. You felt your cheeks burn up with anger as the concept of Maxwell Lord being your soulmate dwelled upon you. You turned back to Diana, in hope that there had been some sort of misunderstanding. "Eros’ father is Ares, the God of War. Can we really trust him?"
"His mother is Aphrodite," Diana replied non-chalantely, failing to understand your point. "Besides, Eros is neither Ares nor Aphrodite. We need not to compare the winged God of Love to his parents."
"So, Eros just came and visited you, and told you that myself and the CEO of freaking Black Gold Cooperative are soulmates? There's no way." Before Diana could reply, Maxwell cleared his throat. Your head snapped to face him. "I don't want to hear a peep out of you." You pointed your finger, digging it hard into his chest. He swatted your hand away and straightened his posture under your glare.
"Actually, I found out from this." he brought out a peculiar, amber gem from the pocket of his suit jacket. "Eros just confirmed it."
"You found out from a pretty rock?" You folded your arms across your chest.
"It's a dreamstone-," Maxwell began to explain but you cut him off.
"I don't care." you scoffed, grinding your teeth together in white rage. You turned back to Diana.
"Listen," Diana said, her voice as sweet as honey. She raised her hand and placed it gently on your shoulder, meaning nothing but comfort. "Eros told me that every soulmate shares the same soulmark. Do you… do you have any marks on your body that could be—"
You processed her words, thinking long and hard. "I do, I have a mark on the inside of my thigh." You shuffled around uncomfortable.
"Can I see it?" Maxwell beamed, his chocolate eyes sparkling.
"Not unless you want a fucking lawsuit." You snapped back at him and you watched as his charming but smug smirk fell from his face. He rolled his eyes and took a step back from you. "Diana, is there another way we can make sure that we are soulmates?"
"We could kiss and see what happens?" Maxwell suggested and you clenched your fingers into a fist. Would this man ever learn to shut up.
"It's true, you could kiss and see if you feel anything." Diana pointed out and you pinched the bridge of your nose in annoyance. Maxwell howled with laughter while Steve just stood there, as confused as ever.
You sighed, holding your face in your hands before turning back to Maxwell. "Show me your soulmark."
"Show me yours." Maxwell charmed and you wanted to scream.
"No."
"Yes."
"With all due respect," Steve cleared his throat. "You two argue like an old married couple." He raised an eyebrow and nudged Diana. "Are they always like that?"
"Yes." Diana smirked.
"No we are not!" You and Maxwell yelled in unison.
Your head snapped towards Maxwell and he couldn't help but smile at the angry scowl playing on your lips and the crinkle in between your eyebrows.
"Diana and I are going to head out and get some coffee, do you two want anything?"
You and Maxwell were too busy bickering to hear Steve's polite offer. Pointing your fingers at each other, both of you demonstrating your power struggle as your voices slowly became more raised. Steve and Diana exchanged a look before realising they best be on their merry way.
"My office, now." Maxwell growled in frustration, grabbing your wrist and tugging you into his extravagant office. Usually his micro-agression would have earned him a punch in the arm and string of insults from you, but despite his firm grip on you, his hand slipped down your wrist and his finger interlocked with yours.
You would've pulled away from him. Gritting your teeth together, you could think of a thousand curses to scream at the slimy CEO but instead you were left feeling slightly dazed. There was a spark when his fingers graced the back of your hand. Like genuine electricity. And it had lit a fire in the pit of your stomach. He sat you down on the loveseat by his desk and ran his fingers through his hair.
"Did you feel that?" he asked and you frowned.
"Feel what?" you grumbled.
"That… that spark." Maxwell's hand fell to his hip as he stared at you, perplexed.
Yes, you had, and there was no denying it. Instead, you opted to avoid eye contact. He had his way with people— his charming business strategy. His charisma could make the whole world fall for him. But not you. You wouldn't fall for him.
"So stubborn," Maxwell huffed, as if he was reading your mind. He slipped into the loveseat and sat next to you, his dark eyes gleaming. "You think I wanted this? Of course I didn't. I don't have time for relationships." You scoffed, about to interrupt him but he raised a finger and continued. "I'm too busy. I'm better alone anyway. But we have something special. I hate to admit it, but you can't keep running away from the truth."
He was right. Fuck, he was right and you hated it. All this time you had been shutting out the truth. It was like destiny had brought you two together. You were the complete opposite of Maxwell Lord, but maybe Eros was right for shooting his arrow into you both. Maybe he done it for good reason. Maybe you and Maxwell completed each other.
"You're disgusting," your voice was merely just a croak. You couldn't give up. You had to keep fighting. "You built the foundations of your business on lies. You're a fraudster, a scammer, and you should be in jail." Your own words made your heart shatter.
Maxwell looked away from you, his eyes glossy. Your words stung. "You can hate me all you want, but we were chosen for each other. I don't understand it. I don't think I'll ever understand it. But this happened for a reason."
"How can you be sure?" you whispered.
Maxwell cleared his throat. "The dreamstone… and Eros and… everything Diana has told me. I hate to believe it, but I trust her. She knows better than anyone else." Maxwell shrugged. "And I've felt it. And I know you have too."
"We are literally rivals." Your voice was but a mere whisper.
Maxwell took a step closer to your breaking any distance. You swore you could feel his warm breath tickle against your neck as his words sent shivers down your spine. "Kiss me."
You looked up at his once chocolate brown eyes, now practically ebony and completely lust blown. He gently raised his hand to cup your cheek and swiped his thumb across your jaw. What had happened to you? You were succumbing to him. Because you knew, deep down, it was true. But you remembered Diana's words. A kiss would confirm it.
"I hate you Maxwell Lord." you shook your head before standing on your tippee-toes, matching his height. You tilted your head, the curve of his nose brushing against yours as you pressed your lips against his.
There it was. That same spark. The kiss was hypnotising. At first, you tried to escape the fact you were kissing Maxwell Lord, but as he slung his arm around your waist and pulled your hips into his, you figured you could maybe embrace it.
You found your hands tugging amongst his dark blonde locks of hair. You always imagined his hair to be greasy, layered in many unnecessary products to keep it perfectly styled throughout the day. But it was soft and well conditioned. As you pulled gently on it he bit on your lower lip and caused a sweet moan to escape your lips. That only spurred him on more, as he dropped his hand and cupped the roundness of your ass.
Both of your hands were settled on his broad shoulders, and he grumbled a little when you pulled on the lapels of his suit jacket, encouraging him to deepen the kiss. The little noise he made sent vibrations straight through your core and on instinct, you pressed your body further into him.
Maxwell glided his tongue over the plumpless of your lower lip, begging for entry, which of course you granted. You had kissed many people before but it had never felt as intoxicating as this. You couldn't stop. He was your poison, and you were addicted.
But why him. Why would Eros match you with a man like Maxwell Lord? He was cunning… manipulative…an amazing kisser. You pulled your away from him, detaching your lips from his with a pop sound and looked up into his nervous eyes.
"Did you feel anything?" his voice was hoarse and rasp, as if the kiss had took everything out of him.
You couldn't lie anymore. You couldn't kid yourself. You took a deep breath.
"Maxwell, I've felt something for you since the moment I started working here. All my life I've hated you. Your father and your shitty business stole from my family. But when I scored the job at the museum, and when I saw your speech in the main hall, I felt something inexplicably unique. Something I've never felt before. Seeing you stand there and witnessing your charm with my own two eyes ignited something primal within me. I needed you— more than I've ever needed anything before, and I cursed myself for it. You didn't know me, but I knew you. I knew of all the hurt you caused me, and my family, and many other families around the world. I knew of your greed and ruthless nature. And I tried so hard to hate you so bad."
"Everybody thinks they know me, but they don't. Everyone thinks they have me all figured out from my infomercials… or they judge me based on my parents. Let me tell you, I'm not my parents." Maxwell assured you and you offered him a small comforting smile. "I'm sorry Black Gold Cooperative hurt your family. I know it might not seem like it, but I'd never want to hurt anyone."
And for some reason, you believed him. You saw the kindness in his eyes. You knew he was genuine. You had gathered up so much hate for him over the years. So much anguish. You never thought you'd ever be able to forgive him.
"Eros put us together for a reason." you whispered and Maxwell tucked a piece of hair behind your ear.
"I think we can make this work." he told you, his voice quiet and of a deeply pleasant nature.
"Yeah, me too." you replied, your heart fluttering.
"So…. about that soulmark on the inside of your thigh."
"My lawyer is one of the best in the country Lord, don't try me." You winked before flicking your hair and leaving his office, the door slamming behind you.
This was going to be the start of something amazing.

An Overdue Wedding - The Recruitment (2)
a short russian spy blacklist au one-shot for @cesar-hoe and @falle-ness
part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | part 4
The first thing Liz noticed as Red — for a lack of a better word — swaggered into the Post Office that morning was the glint in his eyes.
After three years of knowing him (seven, if she counted the first four years of her life), she could tell whether her godfather had something up his sleeve. It was the way he looked at her with a twinkle in his eyes and the manner in which he clapped Cooper on the shoulder as though they were old friends that Liz knew something was up.
“Wonder what’s got him so excited,” sneered Ressler from next to her. They were standing next to the door of their shared office, waiting for Cooper to come down and assign them tasks. Ressler was standing upright, looking as stiff as a statue. Liz, on the other hand, had her arms crossed with one ankle thrown over the other, leaning against the wall casually. Her expression was analytical and her focus was trained on the suit-adorned, fedora-wearing man who had climbed up the stairs to Cooper’s office.
“Yeah,” Liz replied. “No Blacklister in the past has gotten Red so excited.”
“You never know,” Samar chimed in from her right. Liz jumped, not noticing the Iranian agent until that moment.
“God, Samar, don’t scare me like that,” breathed Liz, beginning to make her way to the war room. Samar just chuckled softly and followed with Ressler not too far behind her.
“I noticed that Mr. Reddington looks pretty excited today,” commented Aram from his workstation.
“We’ve noticed,” said Ressler. Liz couldn’t help her giggle as her partner rested his hands on his hips in a Captain America-esque fashion. Thankfully, he didn’t notice Liz’s amusement.
“Hey, guys!” boomed Red, and the four FBI agents turned to see him with his arms swept wide in greeting. “Lizzy, I need to talk to you in private.”
“No Blacklister?” quipped Ressler confidently. “What a surprise. Really.”
“Now, now, Donald,” Red replied, holding his hands up placatingly. “Don’t worry. What I’m about to tell her will be far more important than whatever Blacklisters you so dearly anticipate catching.”
“We’ve been working together for three years,” said Cooper, looking at Red with a frown. “And you’re not about to give us a Blacklister. You can tell us.”
“This is personal, Harold. I’m entitled to keeping some portions of my life private. Come, Lizzy.”
Smiling partly to diffuse the tension and partly because she was curious, Liz followed her godfather to the elevator.
By the time they were riding in the back of Red’s Mercedes, the criminal still hadn’t told Liz anything. They were comfortably silent for the entire ride until they reached Rock Creek Park. Liz and Red got out of the car, and they started walking together.
“I still remember when you used to call me Uncle Ray,” said Red reminiscently, putting an arm around Liz’s shoulder. “It gave me the greatest feeling. Your cute, innocent voice, asking me to tell you a story or telling me you wanted to be picked up.... It never failed to make my heart soar.”
Liz fought tears at the reminder she’d never remember those things because of the man next to her. Although she knew he had meant well, she would always hold resentment towards him for taking those precious memories away. An even darker part of herself felt that he was being selfish — even though that was far from the case.
She was still getting used to the fact that she could refer to someone as her mother and another person as her father. She was still addressing Katarina as “Mother” and Ilya as “Father,” but she knew she’d be able to call them Mom and Dad with time. It felt like it was only yesterday that Red had revealed who he was to her. Liz remembered nearly dropping the phone in her hand as he had told her that he was her godfather, and after a week, he had returned, visited her at her townhouse, and sat down to tell her everything about her past and parentage.
Liz felt a pit of embarrassment well in her stomach as she recalled shouting at Red by the time he was done. She had been overjoyed and furious at him at the same time. On one hand, she had finally gotten answers about her past. On the other, she had gotten those answers from the very reason she had needed to ask for them. The most surprising thing of all was that Red hadn’t argued with her. He had just...taken her abuse.
After she had finished shouting at him, he had simply stood up and said, “I will always regret taking away those memories, but if I hadn’t, you would’ve suffered. Maybe one day, I’ll take you back to the specialist who operated on you, but for now, would a meeting with your mother and father suffice?”
Those words had made Liz tear up with joy. “Of course, Red,” she had said, pulling him into an embrace. “I can’t wait to meet my mom and dad.”
What followed that had been a series of discoveries about her past and a meeting with her parents that Liz would never forget. It had been a short while later that the FBI agent had been framed as a traitor. While she and Red had been on the run, her mother, Katarina Koslova, had joined them. Her husband and Liz’s father, Ilya Koslov, had stayed behind to communicate with them from the Post Office.
“The thing I wanted to talk to you about,” rumbled Red, pulling Liz back to the present, “has something to do with your parents. Specifically, their marriage.”
The pair sat down at a nearby bench, and Red took Liz’s hand into his own. Liz turned her head to face her godfather.
“But didn’t they marry already?”
“Yes,” replied Red with a sharp nod. “In a courthouse. It was my name that prevented them from having the wedding they wanted. The only thing we could have was a ring bearer, so that task, along with the task of being a witness, was relegated to myself.”
“Your point being...?”
“My point being, I want you to help me plan their wedding ceremony.” With that, there was a pregnant pause. Liz couldn’t believe it. Red wanted to plan a wedding ceremony for her parents?
“Can you do that, Lizzy?” Red asked, looking very hopeful.
Liz was still processing what her godfather had just told her. As she thought about it, she realized that she’d finally be able to spend quality time with her parents, she’d finally have the chance to create a memory untainted by her FBI work —
Before she knew it, she was hugging Red, not caring that she was no longer a little kid. She certainly had the joy of a little kid right then.
“Of course I’ll help, Red. You don’t need to ask twice.”
Liz closed her eyes contently as he felt Red put his arms around her, smiling into her hair.
“You don’t know how much that means to me,” he replied softly. “Thank you.”
•••
Liz practically ran to the elevator as soon as she got out of the black Mercedes.
“I’ll see you tonight, I hope?” asked Red from inside, poking his head out of the window. “I was thinking of having you start by helping me choose the theme and browsing wedding venues. Besides, Dembe’s making dinner. That should be reason enough to come.”
“Yeah, of course!” Liz replied as she pressed the elevator button. “Wouldn’t miss that for the world.”
“Excellent! Your father will come pick you up at the end of the day.” With that, Liz watched as Red rolled up the window, and the black Mercedes drove away.
Entering the elevator, Liz could barely contain her excitement. Red didn’t tell her that she couldn’t tell the task force, so she assumed that she’d be able to. Besides, she figured that her parents would really like it if she invited her colleagues to the wedding. From what she could gather, it seemed that Ilya and Katarina had formed a solid relationship with Cooper, Ressler, Aram, and Samar. Therefore, she hoped that the people she had come to consider as her family would accept the unofficial invitation.
"Hey, Liz!" Aram greeted upon Liz's entry into the war room. "What did Mr. Reddington tell you?"
"Let's wait for everyone else," said Liz, turning her head to see Cooper walking in, his head held high. "I'd like to tell you all at the same time."
Aram smiled angelically and began typing furiously on his computer. Once Ressler and Samar arrived, Liz got everyone's attention. She started talking once everyone was facing her.
"Did Reddington tell you anything that has to do with our work?" asked Ressler.
"No, not exactly," Liz replied, beginning to feel bouncy. "It's actually much better than that. You remember my father, Ilya Koslov?"
"Yes. Of course," said Cooper, allowing himself a small smile. "He was very helpful in our quest to bring you home."
"Yeah, I remember Mr. Koslov," said Aram excitedly. "We talked for hours on end about the computer programs I use, since, you know, he was a techie like me back in the day. Uh, we kinda bonded over how good we were at keeping our computers secure, and he also showed me this really cool feature —"
"Aram," Samar cut in gently with a smirk.
"Right. Sorry," Aram mumbled, grinning bashfully.
Liz wanted very badly to pat her friend's back to relieve some of his embarrassment, but her announcement couldn't wait any longer. She had to tell the task force before the moment passed.
“When my father married my mother, they had to get married in a courthouse. Reddington was a witness. Because of this, my parents never had a proper wedding ceremony nor reception.” With a pause, Liz looked around at her colleagues. “This is why I’d like to invite all of you to my parents’ wedding. They have no one else left, and I think they’ll really appreciate it if you come. I know I will.”
A few moments passed in which the task force didn’t say anything. Liz grew increasingly anxious as the lack of response dragged on, but thankfully, Cooper was the first to smile warmly at the FBI agent as he gave her his answer.
“We’d love to, Agent Keen. It would be an honor.”
Not a second too soon, Samar added, “We’ll be happy to come.”
“I third that,” Ressler pitched in with a genuine smile.
“And that makes four,” concluded Aram, his expression proud. “Thanks for inviting us, Liz.”
Liz’s resulting grin was as wide as the Cheshire Cat’s.
“Thank you so much!” she said, her pearly white teeth shining as she beamed at her colleagues. “You don’t know how much this will mean to my parents. They will be so happy.”
“I can imagine,” Cooper replied fondly. “Now, let’s get to work. We have a full day ahead of us. Aram, do a check on our security systems and see if we have any unfinished tasks. Keen, Navabi, Ressler, come with me. I have some paperwork for you to fill out.”
Not thinking about the dullness of the coming day, Liz followed Ressler and Samar to the back room with a noticeable spring in her step. No matter how uneventful work would be, Liz knew that Red’s offer already made up all of that. It was because of him that Liz would now have a chance to make a real memory with her parents.
She found that she liked that very, very much.

Creek Week Day 2, AU.
My favorite one some else has written: RockCreek. I don't know why, there's just something about it I like.
My favorite I have written: my Thunderbirds AU.
In this AU, Creek along with Poppy, Cooper, Holly, Synth, Dante, Riff, Wani, Tresillo, Hickory, Val, Archer, and Bridget are a part of the Thunderbirds. A group of Trolls and a lone Bergen who protect the planet from threats. Bridget discovers that Chef is closing in on a cache of Magical artifacts that could bring their world to it's knees. The only way to get her to ignore it was to direct her towards the Pop Trolls. Which made Poppy realize that either she, Cooper, or Creek would have to branded a traitor to their Tribe.
As Poppy and Cooper are the only ones who know what Creek is doing, he is legitimately thought a traitor. After the events of the Bergen fiasco, Poppy brings Creek his stuff from the Village as he now lives on their Island base full time. Flash forward to World Tour. Hickory waits until after Branch leaves to apologize for what he did. Poppy brushed him off saying he was playing his part and she hoped Holly got the coded message in the Pop Mashup. Then, just before Barb can make anyone a Rock Zombie, Creek drops in with Archer and Val taking the guitar and retrieving the Strings. Afterwards, Poppy reveals that Creek "betrayed" the Pop Trolls on the notion he had to keep the Bergen Chef from finding where Magical artifacts were hidden that would have caused more problems than they needed. Giving new meaning to his words, "I'm doing this for you." And he was. He did it for all of the Trolls.

I know I rarely post anything on Tumblr except reblogs, but hear me out.
So I came up with a Trolls au a little while ago, and my friend (who doesn’t use Tumblr) helped me flesh it out. I am better at writing than drawing, so this is gonna be a lot of text.
Experimented on au:
⁃ The Bergens wanted more taste from the pop trolls, so they experimented with them. A lot of different results happened, but it all resulted in pop trolls not really looking like trolls that much anymore.
⁃ Poppy has gas inside her body, like laughing gas. She has these flaps behind her ears that she normally leaves uncovered because every pop troll was immune to the gas. When the flaps are covered for too long it starts seeping out of other holes in her face. If every hole is covered for too long she explodes.
⁃ Branch has possession powers but because of the grey, he can’t remember his power outbursts. He gets possessed by spirits trying to make him happy and colorful, and doesn’t remember it. When he gets his colors again he starts to remember and starts being able to possess others. Possessing others is tiresome and he passes out after a while.
⁃ Cooper gets affected by the powers of pop during his entire life, especially the gas from Poppy. He goes his entire life thinking he is also an experiment, so when he actually meets trolls like him he is kinda shocked.
⁃ The first movie is pop escaping, and getting the time to actually practice their powers. When Chef attacks they actually manage to escape without anyone being taken. (Creek gets fuckin stepped on)
⁃ So the movie would be about Branch having more outbursts of his powers and the snack pack helping him to control it. When he regains his colors he starts being able to possess others. He practices with the snack pack who is happy to help.
⁃ When the world tour happens, everyone is excited to see other trolls.
⁃ Cooper is actually helped by the snack pack to get him ready to find trolls like him. So when he goes off sooner or later the gas effect wears off, and when he meets those weird birds he thinks the gas is back, and when he’s with funk he is very surprised he is not an experiment at all.
⁃ Meanwhile Poppy, Branch, and Biggie sets off to find and help other trolls.
⁃ Poppy keeps her hair down to not release any gas.
⁃ In Symphonyville Pennywhistle is kinda scared but doesn’t say too much about it.
⁃ In Lonesome Flats country is scared, and during the pop medley, they are more scared than annoyed. They throw them in jail for basically being a treat.
⁃ Hickory is kinda scared but learns a little about them.
⁃ Pop is more happy and honest, so he notices that they are fascinated by him.
The pop trolls also sorta catch on that Hickory is not really country, but they sorta think it’s because of that he is an experiment.
⁃ Biggie leaves before they meet funk.
⁃ When they meet funk, Cooper has been thinking he fantasized everything but seeing Poppy and Branch reminds him it’s very real.
⁃ Funk shows that they are scared of the pop trolls more than the country trolls, but they remain rational since Cooper is fine even if he lived with them for so long.
⁃ When they learn the true story they are more indifferent to it and don’t mention uniting the tribes against rock.
⁃ When rock attack they get separated, and Poppy and Branch has a fight.
⁃ They separate and Branch gets found by k-pop and reggaeton. He kinda freaks for a moment but then k-pop and reggaeton start fighting and he uses his powers to take control of everyone except Wani and Tresillo. When he speaks he also speaks through the others’ mouths, scaring Wani and Tresillo. He actually resolves it tho, mainly because it’s tiresome to control 6 people and he doesn’t see a reason as to why he should control them when that’s what he tries to stop Barb from doing.
⁃ Meanwhile Poppy is worried about Branch and the fact her gas is building up.
⁃ When the yodelers reveal themselves she feels sad and betrayed there’s really no one like them.
⁃ When rock arrives she has so much built-up gas she has to start shutting her mouth, so Barb kinda just takes it as compliance.
⁃ “This is who I have been afraid of? This little freak?”
⁃ Poppy can’t respond or she will send gas at Barb and Poppy realized that it was her only weapon.
⁃ So at the rock concert, everyone is more scared of pop and not rock, except rock who is focusing on themselves.
⁃ When the concert starts Branch arrives, but no pop troll is really scared of being turned into a zombie. (They are actually immune in a way because of the experiments, but no one knows that.)
⁃ And then the pink smoke starts seeping out of Poppy’s cell. She performs “Hallucinate” by Dua Lipa and the sequence is like a 2010 music video but with the leaders too.
⁃ Everyone is having a laughing fit because of the gas, it’s like they’re trapped inside the laughter.
⁃ Then when all the pent up gas is gone and the song is over she offers to actually talk leader to leaders.
I don’t know what all of the pop experiment things are gonna be, so feel free to make your own and tag me. Also this was long

Till Death Do Us Part! AU Part 2
Part 1
Well, guys. I think it's finally time I officially expanded on my little AU where Branch and Poppy's souls were separated after a vicious pirate attack; Branch became a ghost and Poppy reincarnated. If you need more details, the link to the post is right there! Where it says "Part 1".
Before I start, extra special thanks to my dear friends @foxlanaeshrek and @tipolover22 for helping me with the ideas. I love you, darlings!
And without further ado...
Well, as I mentioned last time, the Snack Pack were all members of Branch’s crew in  their past lives, but after the pirate attack that ended their lives, their souls were separated as well.
Biggie, Smidge, and Chenille became ghosts just like Branch and still live in their old ship, while DJ Suki, Cooper, Satin, and Guy Diamond reincarnated alongside Poppy’s soul.
Just like Poppy, all reincarnated members always felt like something was missing in their lives, but there are two special cases: Suki and Satin.
Unbeknownst to Satin, she used to have a twin sister, she used to be somebody’s other half. So she always felt like she was lonelier than most kids who’re an only child, but she never understood why.
Chenille, being a ghost, does remember her sister. And the moment she realised Satin’s soul wasn’t beside her when they all gained consciousness, she couldn’t even pretend she was better off without her sister; she was devastated.
So, as Branch kept searching for Poppy, Chenille did the same with Satin.
Now that I think about it, they probably bonded over the loss of those dearest to them over the centuries. Besides, according to TTBGO, Chenille is also the most assertive of the two, so she probably can keep up with Branch better anyway.
Given all this, when Poppy brings her friends along to get to know her new--former?--old friends, the twins feel the connection they used to have once again. And they’re overjoyed.
Though, they totally bicker with each other all the time.
Suki’s case is the most special.
She’s the only one who remembers her previous life.
Let’s say she used to be the crewmember that was closest to both Poppy and Branch.
She was Branch’s second-in-command and, when Poppy entered their lives and became co-captain of the ship, the two girls bonded right away!
Therefore, when she saw Poppy being taken away by the pirates and Branch about to die, she promised to herself and Branch that she would find her and protect her.
A promise she did well to keep ever since she met Poppy in the present day.
When they’re all finally (re)introduced, she sneaks over to Branch to tell him: “Don’t worry, Captain; I’m still protecting her.”
Meaning Branch will be the only one to know about her situation for a while.
Another character that we must talk about is Creek.
His is a complete different story: he is neither a ghost, or a reincarnation.
He is a descendant.
Whose descendant, you might be asking yourselves?
Simple, he is the descendant of the man who betrayed Branch and sold the crew out to the pirates.
He is the descendant of the man at fault for our lovers’ suffering.
Who… he happens to be a carbon copy of. Except for his… interesting fashion sense and dyed hair.
But because he really has nothing to do with what happened, he’s a bit perplexed when his childhood friend introduces him to her friends and beau from another lifetime (because that’s not perplexing enough…) and they all give him the stink-eye (read: murderous glare), especially Branch who, in addition, has this murderous aura around him whenever Creek’s near him, his friends, or especially, Poppy.
Not to mention, not only does Branch glare daggers at a, for once, completely innocent Creek, but they also have exchanges such as this:
“Do us both a favour and shut the Hell up, you hippy!”
“...How does a ghost from the 17th-18th Century even know what a hippy is?”
Of course, such animosity appears to be way too personal to not be due to something serious. So he asks Poppy about their situation, and when she tells him their troubles are all because of a traitor who sold them out to pirates in exchange for a small fortune, he decides to investigate.
He makes that decision because he vaguely remembers old rumours about an old relative of his making it to the island with enough money to live comfortably, money he was said to have earned by working for pirates.
When  he finds what he’s been looking for, he freezes.
 It’s true.
His ancestor used to be a part of Branch’s crew! He had it all written down in a journal, even the betrayal!
Even worse, he now understands why the spirits hate him; he looks just like him.
Understanding it’s high time his family rectified from their mistakes, Creek swears he’ll find a way to help the ghosts and his friends.
As for Poppy and Branch…
As I said in the first part, Branch would do his best to be with Poppy without forcing her to give up her current life.
So he tries to avoid talking to her about her previous one as much as possible (unless she wishes to), that way her decision shouldn’t be biased by him.
But… he can’t help being sickeningly romantic from time to time. That girl is his weakness, after all, and he always loved pampering her back when they were both breathing.
I mean, old habits die hard (even if the one with the habits is indeed dead…).
And Poppy… Oh, poor Poppy.
She’s such a mess! The most she gets to know Branch the Snack Pack, the more she wants to know about her previous self! And the more she gets to know about her previous self, the more confused she becomes!
A part of her tells her she should just move on before it all becomes too much, but another part of her just can’t get enough!
And Branch… Oh, boy, when she’s with Branch!
He’s so different from anything or anyone she’s ever met before, and, at the same time, so familiar… It’s like meeting your soulmate.
He’s just so wonderful she can’t help but ask about what they used to be, even if it hurts. Because when he talks about what he shared with her previous life his eyes light up in such a way, and his voice holds such candor, and his ghostly form radiates nothing but pure, unadulterated love…; he’s suddenly more alive than any other person she’s ever met.
But what really moves her is not the caring way in which he still has her old self in his memory, but how all that adoration only seems to multiply when he talks to her. Her current self!
The day he invites her over to show her the way the cave and the ship illuminate under a full moon, the day when he sings to her a ballad he wrote the day they eloped, the way in which he sings how much he loves her, with nothing but warmth and love in his gaze as he looks at her and serenades her with his velvety voice… That’s the day Poppy knows she’s fallen for Branch. All over again, in a different lifetime.
