I, like so many of us, have Theories about why Ed kept Jim of all people on his ship. My three personal frontrunners are:
Jim is the only other crewmember we know can canonically read and write. With Lucius gone, someone needs to write Blackbeard's epic "I'm very into murder now" manifesto.
So far as we know, Jim is the only trained assassin among the crew. Considering his overall emotional state, Blackbeard may be loading the dice and planning his own suicide by cop justifiably angry NB with zero fucks to give.
Stede abandoned Ed -- Ed killed Lucius -- and all together that meant there was only one couple left on the Revenge. Edward "I Will Destroy All Love" Teach decided to... correct that.

I thought you were always supposed to call the police on a suicidal person? Cause they are a danger to themselves? That’s what the hotlines do. They take you to clinics? Right? What else do I do if my friend calls me saying she has a gun?? Do i call her parents?? That’s a large mental strain for every party. But you just saying “never call the cops” sounds very biased
"Don't call the fugitive-slave catchers on a suicidal person" seems to be pretty straightforward, right? "Don't call the strikebreakers on someone in a mental health crisis", "don't call the Stasi on someone who is a danger to themselves."
Because you're not calling someone whose job it is to help anyone going through a traumatic experience but to control the social order for the benefit of the owner class and status quo.
Someone who is upsetting the status quo and creating disorder — by, for example, screaming that they are Jesus Christ returned and need to die again — is someone police see as needing removed from society one way or another.
If your friend calls you telling you she has a gun, you keep her on the phone as long as you can and try to get people near her to help her. If you can, you go over yourself.
"That’s a large mental strain for every party." — right, and the fact that the easy thing is to call a government-approved gang to go over there and handle the situation for you is exactly the opposite of an endorsement of that response.
From the post you're ultimately responding to:
The Revolution™ is fun to imagine and involves no pain. But the real world does involve pain, and it’s necessary to exercise the muscles needed for future work and opportunities.
Life is not easy and neither are our responsibilities to our fellow people. That doesn't mean it's not worth doing. It is. It's just also very hard.

The number of weebs on social media who have read/watched "My Hero Academia" but not "Hunter x Hunter" troubles me. Imagine learning that 33% of food bloggers describe themselves "Heinz EZ-Squirt ketchup fans" and have never tasted salsa.

A Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable on escort duty fired 12 rounds from his automatic service rifle, first killing his senior and then three passengers on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express early Monday, officials said.
While two of the dead passengers were identified as Asgar Abbas Ali (48) and Abdul Kadar Mohamed Hussain Bhanpurwala (64), the identity of the third passenger was being ascertained
A purported video of Chetan Singh speaking to passengers while standing over Asghar’s bloodied body was went viral on social media in which the RPF constable says:
“Pakistan se operate hue hain, tumhari media, yahi media coverage dikha rahi hai hai, pata chal raha hai unko, sab pata chal raha hai, inke aaqa hai wahan… Agar vote dena hai, agar Hindustan me rehna hai, toh mai kehta hoon, Modi aur Yogi, ye do hain, aur aapke Thackeray”
(‘They operate from Pakistan, this is what the media of the country is showing, they have found out, they know everything, their leaders are there… If you want to vote, if you want to live in India, then I say, Modi and Yogi, these are the two, and your Thackeray’)

Do you guys really believe that killing is the singular bad thing that cops do?
Or even that killing is the most frequent bad thing that cops do?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Are you saying that if cops didn't kill, then they'd be the same as Batman? Because then you're suggesting that effectively Batman already is a cop, with the exception that he hasn't killed (just like the majority of U.S. cops, who have never once shot or killed anybody).
I'm a bit worried to see opinions suggesting that only killing is wrong—and that violence, stalking, and humiliation are okay. In real-life, police commit countless acts of those "little" abuses, terrorizing entire communities, before they murder anybody.
Invading people's privacy is wrong. Hurting people to the point of hospitalization is wrong. Forcibly drugging people is wrong. Putting people in cages is wrong. Torture and "enhanced interrogation" are wrong. Ambushing people in their homes and safe places is wrong. Keeping inexhaustible wealth is wrong.
Superhero comics are power fantasies. Not all fantasies need to reflect our ideology in reality. But once you apply your real-life values to fiction, once you decide that fiction showcases exemplary real-life ideology—then your praise for Batman's ideology does become a worrying reflection of your real-life understanding of social issues.

I do understand that the Knights are meant to represent cops in Nimona but I feel like within the context of that society there HAD to have been other cops, like lesser beat cops going around. The Knights are celebrities I feel like they can't be going around giving out traffic tickets
Like imagine you accidentally parked in a fire lane and you return to find,, idk Dwayne the Rock Johnson or some shit writing you a fucking parking citation. How would you even handle that situation???

pebble, swiss and alpha? Do you think they'd share him? (Him being alpha)🥺
Anon I’m going to dox you on Twitter how dare you make me think about that
I have awful brain rot about all of them can you tell is it that obvious anon feel free to let me know if you’re stalking me
But.. yeah no I do yeah yeah yeAH YEAH.
Pebble teaching swiss that alpha is all bark and no bite. Really just humiliates him for Swiss since pebble knows so much about him, and oh Swiss is more than happy to exploit that.
Coos at him, calls him easy, tells Swiss that alpha is just a brain dead slut that only ever thinks with his dick. Just get a hand on him and he will do whatever you want.
And I’m sure alpha puts up a fight, tries to argue with pebble and list all the nasty things alphas done to him, but Swiss is having none of it.
“Oh pebble, your dildos got quite the mouth on it”
That goes straight to alphas dick, immediately chubbing up a bit and stammering out some protest but pebble and Swiss are fucking laughing at him.
“Think it may be broken. Wondering if you could help me fix it”
Would just be a shame if they got alpha tied up on a chair. Hands behind the back of it, legs securely attached to the wooden legs of the chair. Maybe they make him watch as they work each other up, put on a show for him.
Has to sit there and watch as Swiss makes pebble melt in his hands, immediately sweet and pliant. Sloppily making out while Swiss reaches behind him to open him up, honestly it’s all fucking obscene.
God and I’m sure once pebbles nice and loose for him they just take turns completely using him. Pebble bouncing on his cock as he talks to swiss like alphas not even in the room. Probably has to gag him at some point because he keeps protesting and growling. Toy must still be broken.
If alpha calms down enough Swiss will give him the reward of letting him have his cock in his mouth, may even cum down his throat if he stays real still.
Probably just completely cover him, get him real messy like a good toy should be
