Been playing Potionomics and I have decided Quinn and Corsac know each other but not in a friend way more like...”Oh, THAT guy.” way.

Corsac spends three weeks tracking a rare breed of pegasus through the woods with a master game plan on how to befriend it and slowly win its trust until it’s at ease enough to allow him to harvest a few strands of its hair.

Then, moment of truth, he peeks out through the bushes and just...finds Quinn sprawled on the pegasus’ back, chilling, picking fleas off of it and tossing them into their mimic.

Quinn knows Corsac because he yelled at them once for napping in a patch of endangered flowers.

This man does not know how to deal with the feelings that he gets whenever he is around his obsession and does not know that those feelings are not normal to have. He will slowly spend more time with his obsession, telling them facts about nature and the fauna that resides in it.  Giving them tips and tricks in order to survive in the wild and convince them to make birdhouses and the like so that they can give back to nature. He will also look at how animals and creatures behave in the wild and the moment he can recognize one of the creatures or animals in his obsession, he makes that animal/creature name their pet name.  It's his way of showing that he cares about his obsession because it also means that whenever he sees the creature/animal he thinks of his obsession. He doesn’t know how to confess or how to try and make his obsession see that he cares a lot about them, but he will follow them whenever he can, trailing behind them like a lost puppy. He will also threaten and glare at anyone who tries to talk to his obsession or want to hang around his obsession while he is at his obsessions side but makes sure that his obsession cannot see his expression while he does so, not wanting to scare them off with his behaviour after he realized that his feelings were more powerful than just being in love.

Chrom propaganda:

“He eats oranges with the peel still on, he's an absolute himbo. Also the writers accidentally made his daughter canonically trans so he definitely supports trans rights. And technically you can only marry him if you play as female Robin but their dynamic is still just as romantic if you play as male Robin (they literally call each other their other half and m!Robin and Chrom have a valentine's day duo unit in the gatcha, and in the anthology manga m!Robin asks Chrom to make polygamy legal so he can also marry Chrom's wife and they can be a family) so most people play the game with the gay mod so they can still marry him as a guy. He's incredibly stupid ("yeah, let's set all our ships on fire then walk through a volcano, you're so smart, Robin" "I know you've had prophetic visions about killing me and our daughter came from the future to warn us it would happen but I'm sure THIS TIME it won't because of the power of our bonds") but also really sweet. In the summer DLC they're fighting on a beach and when he sees Robin get excited over a weird creature they found he immediately forgets about the battle and starts trying to make a bunch of crafts (and failing) and cooking food (and failing again) and writing "Chrom and Robin were here" in the sand so that Robin could have some nice beach memories. I'm obsessed with this man”

Started playing Potionomics💕

The music is SO GOOD and the characters all have really fun designs~ You can also romance people in it so, Corsac, get ready to get your butt touched first ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Mint & Quinn, you're up next. Kinda bummed big asshole shark guy can't be smooched but oh well.

I fucking love the little slimes you can buy, they're so baby 😭💕 They even make little "ahhh" sounds when they open their mouths for feeding time, I'm aksbskajshjas ;_;

That being said, I'm so bad at this game😂 I kept losing and losing in the beginning until something just clicked in my brain, I don't know. I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to win the last competition in game but at least I'm having fun :'D

Usually Spotify Wrapped doesn't feel like it's calling me out specifically, except this year Greg Nicolett included a message thanking the listeners of the Potionomics soundtrack, and he noted that it's been very popular with people playing the Flamecraft Boardgame.

Intellectually, I know that I am just one of many people doing exactly that. Reptile brain wants me to rip up the floorboards and look for cameras in my apartment.

It is absolutely killing me that there is not enough fan art of this game. Potionomics is so cute and charming. I love the art, the characters, the story, the mechanics, it's just a great game over all and I highly recommend it. Anyways, here's Corsac, my main squeeze.

So Potionomics was really fun!!! It was over too soon (and by that I mostly mean I played it nonstop and got to the end too quickly) but a blast on the way to the finish line. I do feel that alongside the competition it's difficult to make very much progress with much else besides making potions for it, and the fact that there's no post credits game play makes me sad I won't get to explore more avenues with the relationships and income I've already built up.

I hope for some DLC/post game content because while it was fun I don't think I want to restart just to explore things I didn't get a chance to the first time around. The stress of the competition is good for the novelty and storyline but made me excited to see what I could do after I was free of that weight only for the game to end once I'd beaten my last opponent. Even more disappointing is that while there is a satisfying end to the most primary conflict of the story, there's nothing to let you know where things continue for Sylvia and, if you got that far with any character, her significant other. I suppose it's a 'happily ever after' type of ending but there does feel like a lot of buildup in many avenues that just fizzles out once the competition and main storyline is over, and I can't deny my upset over that.

All in all this is a good game with a lot to explore but not enough time to do it all. Still, if there is more to come I'll be very excited to look into it
