i will say the one thing about my New Year's Resolutions post going viral is that lots of people have done my own resolutions so much better than me now lmao. blogger who made a whole website with ratings for their Fruit Adventures i love you. i barely remembered to take photos of all my fruits which are now just randomly scattered through my camera roll. tumblr user who managed THIRTY FOUR different pasta shapes in a year where did you find them it took me all year just to hit 20 and then i ran out of shapes available in the 2 cities i checked. showing up to your home with a bowl so i can get a little of each

Going to college as a nontraditional student with an office job is kinda funny bc now when a professor messes things up in a way that fucks me over instead of being like "omg this authority figure is so unfair 😭" I'm approaching it more with the vibe of like "if Karen from Accounting doesn't fix this mistake that's hindering my work after my third passive aggressive email I'm going to CC her boss"
#my professor has multiple things messed up on her online course that are actively preventing me from preparing for the midterm exam#1. the notes she uploaded for last weeks lesson are in an unviewable format (its a .bin file? she converted an image to binary code??)#2. she hasnt uploaded the content for this weeks lesson yet. and that content is going to be tested on the midterm#3. both her syllabus and the review guide she uploaded mention a pre-midterm test thats worth 2% of our grade#and i think is supposed to help us prepare. but she hasnt uploaded that or even mentioned it at all?#4. the exam itself isnt in blackboard yet. which wouldnt really be a cause for alarm if it was any other professor#i would just assume they were probably waiting to upload it until the day of the exam#but given everything else shes messed up so far im worried she messed something up with that too and it wont get uploaded at all#so. she said in the syllabus that we should message her directly in blackboard with any questions and she'll respond within 48 hours#but my first message was sent on friday. it is now tuesday#she said to send a follow up if she doesnt respond within 48 hours. i sent a follow up yesterday morning and she still hasnt responded#and im not going to wait another 48 hours when the exam is in 3 days and she still hasnt even uploaded the final lesson that will be on it#so. shes getting a text from me at the phone number she listed now like#if she doesnt respond to that within a few hours then i might call#and if she doesnt respond to THAT then im going to put it in an email and CC the head of her department or smth#bc we NEED to be able to prepare for the midterm. its THIS WEEK. some people are actually scheduled only TWO days from now#its already bullshit that shes including this lesson on the midterm when the due date for it is AFTER the exam#but then shes also THREE DAYS LATE (so far) uploading it??#AND she hasnt uploaded the pre-test or even mentioned it at all???#rambling#this professor is gonna get a BAD review from me man#its already bad enough that her online course is structured so poorly that its hard to even tell what we should be doing each week#and now this shit

crazy how my worst scars from when i was cutting as a teenager are just. so gone now. like yeah you can still see them but only if you look close, otherwise like i just dont notice them anymore like. theyre just a part of my body i forget about.
yeah the trauma that caused them still sticks around, but they really are a reminder that i survived. i got to a safe place and it took a few years to shake the habit but ive been clean for 8 years now and i have no reason to go back. crazy.
#i actually hated doing it#the only reason i did it was so i could send a picture to my (mostly online) abuser#and show him “this is what your words have done” essentially#it was an act of spite. just to make him stop berrating me for. whatever it was that day#of course after his pitiful spiel hed just go back to treating me like shit#but it was my only retaliation at the time and once i finally got away from him i was able to recognize why i did it#yeahhhh ill be honest i'd do it whenever my ex wife would make me upset about something. that was shitty. i recognize that.#but after a few years i was able to fully stop that shit. it was the only defense i knew at the time tho#okay thats enough tags lmaoooooooo

Why did the Quebec government send me their little invitation to use their Simplified Income Tax Return service, only for me to go and try to use it to find that I do not actually have access to this service that this invite is supposed to give me access to!?
#and of course the office is closed right now#so I'm gonna have to wait until Monday to lose my shit at someone over this#it literally says in no uncertain terms that if I have the invitation I am supposed to have access to the service#but when I go and try to use the service it tells me I don't have access to the online service and to call the government#why the fuck did you send me the fucking invitation then!?!?!?!#and it's not like it was an accident#because I got it on paper in the mail#and it's available as a PDF through my Revenue Quebec account#so obviously it was supposed to come to me#I just don't actually have the access they're claiming I'm supposed to have

#helping distantly support this person is so difficult sometimes#because she’ll send me stuff she finds online about people being totally ok with their friends having chronic issues that need to be#accommodated and their friends saying things about that being totally fine and easy and they still want to hang out#and that not making them a burden#basically asking me if it’s true cause she’s got self-worth issues and has a hard time believing it#BUT I AM THE WORST PERSON FOR HER TO ASK ABOUT IT#of COURSE needing accommodation is fine and of COURSE good friends won’t mind and of COURSE you’re not evil for aging for it#but I am not close enough to her or fond enough of her company to be the person who can genuinely say I WANT to just ‘hang out’ with her#and I don’t want to give her the false impression that I am!#I’m a long-distance support ‘friend’#when I’m around her I obviously don’t MIND giving her accommodation and comfort#because I know she needs it and I’m in a unique position to help#but I’m not actually I’m her presence more than a couple times a year and I’m glad#and she needs therapy and counseling and once she gets it and properly forms her own closer/in-person support system I don’t really want to#be involved anymore honestly!#but she is not mentally capable of understanding that right now! there is no way I could say it that she quotient take wrong!#BECAUSE SHE HAS CHRONIC ILLNESSES AND NEEDS FLIPPING CHRISTIAN COUNSELING TO DEAL WITH HER MESSED UP BRAIN STUFF!#it’s not an unbearable situation or anything I don’t let it be a stumbling block to me#but it is irritating and difficult and she is not in a place where she can understand that without beating herself over the head with that#information#and that is just#not what I call friendship#friendship is honesty and reciprocity and liking one another’s company#she’s just a care relationship#(which I know a lot of people would call a friendship but I don’t because I use the concept of friend in a much more limited way than most#people because I think solving out to everyone you are vaguely acquainted with robs it of meaning)#I have it in hand and I keep tabs on it and I don’t let it become a problem or a resentment thing#but just keep it in prayers if you will#That she get her darn act together and get the actual help she needs#and I continue to know hope to properly handle it without letting out torn into a problem

I'm trying to monitor the speed with which things sell out in pop-up stores, right, so I looked up "barcelona sold out" on twt, annnnd apparently there was a lucky draw event going on there -- buy a set number of albums, get a set number of bonus ~exclusive~ photocards -- and apparently there was someone who was doing a group order, so they bought a whole suitcase of albums (the limit was like... 30 sets of 8 albums, or 240 albums, per person, so the sellers let them do that) and they ran out of bonus stuff in like 4 and a half hours. Now people on twitter are saying it's okay to film the person who bought all those albums because they're doing "heinous shit in public" (and so they deserve it).
I really like being into kpop ! it's great fun
#shrimp thoughts#lbr... of course the fair thing would be to make the purchase limit of 16 albums per person but that way they wouldn't get max profits#hashtag capitalism. and in a way the more people get upset and talk about it online the more ferocious people are next time such an#opportunity arrives. I was a bit puzzled when I learned they're only doing two location in all of europe but I was like well I guess it's#Super Exclusive! but companies/vendors are trying to push the ooh exclusive limited fancy schmancy angle WHILE selling as many#units as possible. and this is how you get 400 ult vip ticket holders. and people going to send-offs to see their biases up close#have a little interaction and get something signed and end up in 4th row barely able to see the top of their head because there's just#too many people. and in a way they're shooting themselves in the foot (the organisers I mean) because if that's what it looks like then#even if I was rich and could afford the ult vip I still wouldn't buy it because I don't think I could fight my way to the front

Me panicking because i have 9 missed calls and 5 emails talking about my absence and how "a colleague could take over for me" vs. Me knowing it's really not that important no matter how pushy a client is and that on top of it I'm underpaid and have way to much overtime so i shouldn't even care
#i have 14 hours overtime#collected within 2 weeks lol#you know how it's apparently mandatory for companies in germany to have a way track employees working time? yeah we're#the only company in the whole fucking country who doesn't do that (obviously that's not true there's probably plenty more but it's#still not right.) so we don't get paid overtime nor does it get acknowledged in any way#so technically we're not allowed to even it out (which most people try to do anyway because tf do they think they are asking us to work for#free) but I'm dedicated to not collect any more unpaid working hours so i take the liberty to leave work early this week#so today i left at 12pm (and then got home 4 hours later because another person decided to kill themselves by train. they should call me#first. or anyone else taking the train. I'm sure there'd be plenty of volunteers to do the killing if it means not another miserable day#stuck in a disgusting train). and i logged in again at 6pm today to see if i have anything important messages (stupid i know)#and i saw the missed calls and that there had been an email exchange with me in the cc talking about the 'changes' made in one of the#articles and that someone else could do that for me since i couldn't be reached and at first i felt ashamed and scared#but now it's honestly just pissing me off. that asshole can't write emails and communicate requests like normal people can he#he already called me last week about something completely stupid and acts like his matters are the most important shit in the world#fuck you if you can't wait one day you should have sent this a month earlier because i won't stay online everyday#just to see if there might be an 'important' change you want me to make Immediately. bitch.#also missed two calls from my colleague but she didn't send any messages about what she wanted so i asked her because i felt bad for not#being online and turns out she wanted Nothing. just hear how i was.
