My favorite part about having an up-to-date pc is finding how absolutely dogshit new games are these days. Like...I shouldn't be having Infinity Nikki blue screening or Oblivion in constant load states when reloading a quicksave for the 3rd time....

Sort of interesting that my CPU predates Minecraft 1.0.0 but still runs the game flawlessly. Unlike my GPU, which is like twelve years newer and stutters like hell trying to render a hardware accelerated scene on two monitors (1440p-class and 900p-class) at once.

Here I am streaming the exact same movie with my methods 8x may have been an underestimation (especially since this will probably taper off as the streaming CPU starts predicting bits that need to be accessed next). With these numbers it was actually a 25x increase in hardware load. So, maybe consider avoiding transcoding unless you're willing to really spend on the hardware.

watching anyone do modern things on old hardware and like yes sometimes that hardware is slow bc it was a bad product even at the time, but damn you're just showing how shit modern software is. like not being funny but i should be able to load the videos website on a single core cpu and i should be able to watch 480p, maybe even 720p flawless w/ some graphics acceleration. heck even 1080p if the OS is light enough

I can imagine them starting laying down, but as they sleep their bodies are just like "no >:(" and they end up slowly migrating across whatever bed or surface they're on until they hit a wall, at which point they just shove themselves against it until they're upside down, all without ever waking up. (In the absence of a wall they tip sideways and pretzel themselves, balancing on their shoulders with their hips up and legs chilling in the air.)
