the confession scene reminded me of why i enjoy slowburn romances so much, especially with older people bc despite the tropes being very much present (sparks fly, denying feelings, public confession, etc.) chi yeol ultimately falls for haeng seon's kindness. he calls her warm-hearted and the fact that she has a personality that shines so brightly that he couldn't help himself but be enchanted by her. his eventual acknowledgement of his feelings is so mature, he accepts the fact that he cannot be with her, respectfully backs off, and does all he can to protect her reputation. it's all so sweet and gentle despite how painful it is for himself

Good Morning / Yearning - FFXIV Sapphic Week

Had the idea of Ysayle helping Sylv with her hair in the morning in HW when they were all in the camping scenario. That was one of my favorite bits of the expansion, I could have wandered around with a party like that forever.

While she has no real romantic indulgences through the MSQ canon, Ysayle is one of the people who changed her perspective and help her question her own goals and sense of self. Sylvain struggles with her feelings regarding Ysayle's choice for sacrifice, and quickly buries those budding feelings she was experiencing following the loss. It was another reality check as her blessing was restored that she had a path already laid before her she could not deviate from.

I think Ysayle and Sylv would have been really good for each other, so admittedly I reflect on their evolving relationship in HW a lot.

Choice of area was actually a little comical...
