I'm Bianca, and I love creating things!

I'm a content creator, who's love for art goes beyond the atmosphere sometimes! Check out what I mostly do:

Blvnk (you might know me from here) Since 2017, as blvnk-art, I draw what I imagine the life of Harry Potter when he grows up. I also draw portraits of people who want to send gifts to their loved ones.

Bianca I create sci-fi landscapes, drawings and cinematic frames, when I'm outside fandoms and inside my own worlds.

Sketchsound Since 2022 I've been creating soundtrack music (mainly for my illustrations), inspired by science fiction and fantasy. Some people told me it goes well with writing, but I don't know... you decide!

if i see a very good take about solas, like good meta, good character analysis, and something i find myself nodding along to, just for it to lead into talking about why his romance is the reason for all his growth and intrigue, and how his romance falls into all of that, i immediately click away. every single one of the ops points become moot to me.

bc why can’t we ever separate this man from romance? why can we not discuss his pitfalls and his motivations and his arc within his individuality, away from a romantic relationship? he is still the same person. he still did those things.

alternatively, meta and analysis i cannot stand that horribly mischaracterizes him, that woobifies him, that villainizes his counterparts, or are all entirely based off headcanons and not actual canon all typically have their own paragraph basing his behavior on being in a romance. as if it's not so deeply conditional.

just give me takes on him as an individual. don’t bring lavellan or even rook into it. solas. as an individual. he is just as interesting out of a romantic tie as he is inside of one. begging.

IAMP Characters

A long overdue reference list for tumblr for ctcsherry's provinces and territories, around which we based the YouTube I Am Matthewian Project (2009-2013) and which subsequently inspired @project-canada (2013-2017).

Please note: not all the characters received human names while the project was active. Please see my post on human name explanations (and the notes for a couple of characters I missed), I have included the fanon names that I am aware of.)

While I did not create these characters, I was part of the cast/crew of IAMP from the fall of 2009 until the end, so I'm happy to clarify whatever I (or anyone else who was around!) can remember or dig up. I also just want everyone to keep in mind that the Hetalia fandom was a very different place in 2009, and a lot of characterizations do rely on tongue-in-cheek stereotypes. They have been interpreted a lot over the past 15+ years by different people. Take it with a grain of salt!

Rather than link to the IAMP wiki, which has been edited by non-cast/crew members and thus has dubious or non-canon information, I'll link to Sherry's (ctcsherry) original bios for each province. While the 2009 LJ post in Hetanada still exists, the images are not retrievable from there even with the WayBack machine.

Master Post: The Heart Killers

This was the series I was really enjoying when I started my blog. I loved FadelStyle throughout, but I was a particularly big fan of their dynamic in early episodes. I know a lot of people liked Kant, but I never warmed up to him. By the end, When It Rains had taken over my brain so thoroughly that I wasn't writing about much else and mainly reblogged others about this one. Style is still one of my favorite characters in a BL. Even my children know (some things) about Style. We had a lovely debate in this house about Style's MBTI type.

Solavellan | E | pre-DAI eluvian time travel feat. hot blooded and cocky young wolf and clan mage apprentice Lavellan | [read here]

Ellana Lavellan is one of two apprentices to her clan’s Keeper, and not the most skillful of the pair. She expects to be sent away after failing to earn a place as First, but when she stumbles upon an ancient shrine to Fen’Harel and inadvertently summons the Dread Wolf himself, she finds in him a wealth of powerful, forgotten magics. He’ll teach her, if she makes a suitable offering: herself. Ellana returns to the shrine again and again, summoning Fen’Harel to teach her more, but time works differently on the other side of the eluvian; centuries pass for him while only weeks go by for her. As she grows to know him as Solas, she discovers that the Creators are not the benevolent deities she believed them to be, and that the Dread Wolf is a man she can love. What comfort can a mere Dalish mage offer a rebel god? More than either of them ever expected.

The Veil undulated, bringing Ellana up short. Two more droplets spattered the altar and, as she watched, reflected a wavering light that emanated from the surface of the tall mirror. It rippled silver and blue, overpowering the fire in the brazier. Fear gripped Ellana’s throat as a shadow filled the mirror, black against its luminosity. When it stepped out of the mirror and into the chamber, the brightness cut off, leaving Ellana to face whatever had come through it with a broken bow, a stolen knife, and her meager skill with spellcraft.

The brazier’s light caught small shining points set against pale skin: a delicate golden cuff at the top of a knife-sharp ear; a round stud in one nostril of a strong nose; a delicate ring in a full lower lip. Confusion knitted a stern brow over storm sea eyes—gray irises edged with deep blue, oddly like Ellana’s own, yet without any suggestion of her timidity. No, the elf who had come through the mirror had a dauntless bearing and wore fabrics so fine he might’ve walked out of the shrine’s mosaics.

Glancing around the chamber and then back at Ellana, he advanced two steps, speaking in quick, liquid words it took her altogether too long to identify as the ancient elvhen tongue. While most Dalish spoke little more than a few phrases, Keeper Deshanna had studied what remained of their predecessors’ language extensively. She had passed that knowledge on to both her apprentices, and in a rare show of savvy, Ellana had picked it up best.

Yet, for all her lessons, she could barely keep up with the flourishes of this elf’s pronunciation and cadence. His vocabulary far exceeded hers, every syllable fluid and spoken in a deep baritone. He gesticulated for emphasis, Ellana catching every fourth or fifth word—where, expected, misled. She strained to focus, but it was all too much, too fast.

Raising her hands in what she hoped was a universal gesture of stop, she said in the ancient tongue, “Please. Please speak slowly and with, ah”—she sought the correct translation—“short words.”

He cut his tirade blessedly off, eyebrows drawing in again. Ellana despaired for a heartbeat that he hadn’t understood her, but then he said, slowly and in short words, “What is this place? It is not where I expected to be when I came through the eluvian.”

time for what might actually be a controversial opinion in my corner of the mdzs fandom but, uh

i do actually think we should stay out of the canon jiang cheng tag 😬 like yes, it’s absurd to create a tag that includes the word “canon” in it for content that is largely just very bad faith fanon takes, but forget the pedantry of that for a second and just bear with me.

if i’m understanding the fandom history of this tag correctly, the canon jiang cheng crowd specifically started using it because fans of jc (rightfully!!) got on their case about constantly dropping their character hate and bad faith commentary in the general character tags

they have by and large been consistent about tagging their bizarre hateboner content with this tag. they are self-containing in an easily avoidable quarantine zone (which is more than the jgy antis ever bother to do)

aside from how people who like jiang cheng feel about a group of antis claiming that their tag is the “canon” one, realistically people who are looking for jc content are just going to type his name into the search bar and then explore the general tags first

i’m not a jc stan, but i do like him and categorically disagree with the cjc crowd’s assessment of his character. but like. i make a very big deal on this blog about not tagging character hate, or not tagging pointless character negativity that no one actually wants to see, or making use of known character-critical tags so that people can easily sort and filter what they’re looking for on this site without forcing other people who are just minding their business in the general tags to see stuff that is just shitty and mean-spirited. it would be extremely rich of me to say those things and then turn around and not say something, or even encourage, my followers to cross that line. even for people who have been cunty at me and my friends in the past.

like honestly just… let them have their little enclosure where they can say their wrong things to each other, and leave them alone. the adults can just keep talking in the general jiang cheng tags.
