New TTRPG bundle live on itch.io! Fuck Funko
If you'll recall on December 9th, Funko's AI-garbage powered third-party BrandShield software issued an automated fraudulent phishing report against Itch.io, taking the site down for several hours.
As indie creators are reliant on large platforms and storefronts like these, they have little recourse when they're taken down, missing out on critical income. The Fuck Funko bundle is a great way to support indie designers!

Title: The Lamassu Who Forgot to Hide (Part 9)
Subtitle: “Siblings, Snacks, and Singing Raccoons”
---
Ninsidra was still holding the note. The warmth of it lingered like sunshine on fur. She gave it one last look—especially that final word: Dad.
Her tail flicked slowly as thoughts turned over like ancient gears.
Then, suddenly, her ears perked again and she sat up, remembering something else.
“Oh yeah!” she said, turning back to the stream. “I kinda forgot this part too…”
She pointed the parchment at the camera like a teacher revealing a hidden answer.
“You’re His kids too.”
She gave a lazy half-shrug. “Yeah, you. All of you.”
The chat lit up instantly.
> “WAIT WHAT”
“YOU MEAN WE’RE RELATED??”
“soul siblings with a big fluffy god-lion YES”
Ninsidra chuckled.
“Yeah. Soul siblings. Cousins. Fellow stardust-born chaos-gremlins. Pick your term.”
She rolled onto her back, wings spread against the floor tiles.
“So I guess that makes me your big… ancient… very fluffy sister or something. Weird, right?”
She waved a paw lazily. “Anyway, whatever. No need for titles. I'm not gonna start babysitting or anything.”
She flipped upright again and cracked her knuckles.
“Now! Enough divine feelings. You came here for raccoons and I will deliver!”
With a dramatic swipe of her tail, the stream cut to her animation software. The screen lit up with a preview frame: raccoons wearing monocles and opera wigs on a stage built from garbage cans and moonlight.
The music kicked in—ludicrous, beautiful, weirdly well-orchestrated.
Ninsidra leaned back, eyes glittering.
“Behold: Raccoonietta: The Trashbin Aria.”
---
Elsewhere.
A ripple moved through the heavens.
Angels gathered near the boundary of the Creator’s realm. Silent, watching, unsure. They had seen the sign. The parchment. The crayon. The word Dad.
Some looked concerned.
Others confused.
And one, a younger angel with golden eyes and feathers too fluffy for his age, whispered:
“She remembers now.”
He turned to the Presence beside him.
No face. No voice. Just light.
“Should we... check on her?”
The answer was not words. It was peace. Permission.
So they did.
---
Back on Earth.
As the credits rolled on the raccoon opera and fans flooded the chat with awe and food emojis, a quiet shimmer appeared just outside Ninsidra’s apartment.
She paused mid-snack, a single cheese puff hanging between two claws.
“…Hold on.”
She turned her head toward the window.
Her eyes narrowed.
“Oh no. Not now.”
A small, respectful knock came at the door.
She opened it with a flick of her paw—and there they were. Three angels in full celestial projection. No armor, just light and gentle presence.
The tallest one tried to speak.
“Ninsidra of the—”
But before he finished, she had launched herself forward, tackling him in a very fluffy, 900-pound guardian hug.
“AH—!”
“I KNEW I SMELLED ANGEL FEATHERS!” she shouted, wrapping him up with wings, paws, and purring. “You smell like lightning and laundry detergent.”
The other two stood frozen as the tall one flailed slightly in her grasp, glowing brighter from either embarrassment or near-crushing affection.
“You guys want tea?” she said cheerfully. “I’ve got lemon balm, divine jasmine, and some human instant stuff called ‘Choco-latte.’ It’s fake. I love it.”
The angels blinked.
The one trapped in her hug finally murmured, voice muffled against green fur.
“…We were just here to observe.”
“Too late!” she grinned. “You’re part of the raccoon after-party now.”

Green Screen Techniques and Chroma Keying: A Comprehensive Guide
Green screen techniques and chroma keying are vital tools in visual effects (VFX) and post-production, allowing filmmakers and creators to place subjects into any environment imaginable. These techniques have revolutionized film, television, gaming, and online content creation, enabling stunning visuals and creative settings without the need for expensive physical sets. For those aspiring to master these techniques, MAAC Pune offers in-depth training in VFX and post-production. This guide covers the principles, equipment, and applications of green screen techniques and chroma keying, providing a valuable resource for those looking to excel in visual effects.
#### **Understanding Green Screen and Chroma Keying**
Green screen, or chroma keying, involves filming subjects against a solid-colored backdrop—usually green or sometimes blue. The background is digitally removed (or "keyed out") and replaced with a different setting, special effects, or digital environments.
- **Why Use Green or Blue?**: Green and blue are chosen because they contrast with human skin tones, making it easier to separate the subject from the background. Green is often preferred due to digital cameras' sensitivity to green light, which results in a cleaner key.
#### **Essential Equipment and Setup**
1. **Green Screen Material**:
   - Use high-quality, non-reflective fabric or paint to create a smooth and even background. Ensure it is wrinkle-free and consistently lit to prevent shadows or color inconsistencies.
2. **Proper Lighting**:
   - Separate lighting setups for the green screen and the subject are crucial:
     - **Green Screen Lighting**: Use soft, diffused lights positioned to cover the entire screen evenly and avoid hotspots or shadows.
     - **Subject Lighting**: Light the subject independently to avoid green spill (reflected green light). Utilize key lights, fill lights, and backlights to achieve balanced lighting.
3. **Camera Settings**:
   - Use a high-resolution camera with manual settings to control exposure, white balance, and focus. A camera with higher bit depth captures more color information, aiding in precise keying.
4. **Tracking Markers**:
   - Place tracking markers on the green screen for camera tracking and compositing, especially for dynamic shots involving camera movement.
#### **Filming Techniques for Effective Chroma Keying**
1. **Positioning the Subject**:
   - Place the subject several feet away from the green screen to reduce shadows and minimize green spill.
2. **Wardrobe and Props Considerations**:
   - Avoid green clothing or props that could blend with the green screen. If necessary, consider using a blue screen instead.
3. **Camera Movements**:
   - Static shots are easier to key, but dynamic shots add depth and realism. Use a tripod for stability or motion control systems for more complex movements.
#### **The Chroma Keying Process**
1. **Importing Footage**:
   - Import the footage into editing or compositing software like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
2. **Applying the Chroma Key Effect**:
   - Use chroma key tools (e.g., Keylight in After Effects, Ultra Key in Premiere Pro) to remove the green background.
3. **Adjusting Keying Parameters**:
   - Fine-tune the parameters to achieve a clean key:
     - **Color Selection**: Use the color picker to select the green or blue background.
     - **Threshold/Tolerance**: Adjust to refine the key and remove the unwanted background.
     - **Edge Feathering**: Soften edges to blend the subject smoothly with the new background.
     - **Spill Suppression**: Reduce green or blue spill on the subject to maintain natural colors.
4. **Adding Background and Effects**:
   - Replace the keyed-out background with desired images or footage. Adjust positioning, scaling, and add effects like shadows to enhance realism.
#### **Advanced Techniques for Perfecting the Key**
1. **Garbage Matte**:
   - Use garbage mattes to mask out areas that are challenging for the chroma key tool, helping to clean up the key around the primary subject.
2. **Multi-Pass Keying**:
   - Apply multiple keying layers for scenes with varying lighting or intricate details to achieve a cleaner key.
3. **Rotoscoping**:
   - For areas difficult to key out, use rotoscoping to manually trace the subject frame by frame for a precise matte.
#### **Applications of Green Screen Techniques**
1. **Film and Television**:
   - Used extensively for creating fantasy environments, integrating CGI, and enabling actors to interact with virtual elements. Blockbusters like "The Avengers" rely heavily on green screen technology.
2. **Broadcasting**:
   - News and weather broadcasts use green screens to display dynamic backgrounds and graphics.
3. **Virtual Production**:
   - Combining green screen techniques with real-time rendering allows for immersive environments, as seen in productions like "The Mandalorian."
4. **Gaming and VR**:
   - Used in game development and virtual reality to create interactive experiences. Motion capture studios often employ green screens to capture actors' movements.
5. **Online Content Creation**:
   - Popular among YouTubers, streamers, and educators for adding virtual backgrounds and overlays to enhance viewer engagement.
### **Conclusion**
Green screen techniques and chroma keying have transformed visual effects and content creation, enabling limitless creative possibilities. Mastery of these techniques allows creators to produce visually stunning and immersive content, from blockbuster movies to online videos. Whether you are a filmmaker, game developer, or content creator, understanding and applying green screen methods will significantly elevate your work. With the right skills, training, and tools from MAAC Institute, the potential for using chroma keying to bring imaginative visions to life is truly limitless.

A Look into Vibrant Fusion of GoLang Programming Language’s Roots
Go, which is popularly known as GoLang, was designed for the sole purpose of responding to growing disagreements against other existing languages that were used at Google. As a matter of fact, GoLang creators made a note of the animosity directed towards C++ by providing a comprehensive list of modifications they aimed to develop through Go. With that being said, most of the GoLang users mainly belong to the Ruby and Python development fields rather than C++. In addition, many of the elements in GoLang bear a strong resemblance to other languages since they were primarily inspired by them and have initiated a chain of various GoLang Development Company.
For instance, Go is characteristic of efficient run-time as well as static typing with the help of C and also comprises a great deal of usability and readability with JavaScript and Python. Each and every feature that is a constituent of Go Together contributes to its most essential benefit, which is stability. Again, we can take an example of how static typing is instrumental in promoting flexibility by not necessitating any explicit variable initialization. This essentially helps in preventing runtime errors by constantly expediting runtime efficiency. In the syntactic context, it is similar to C in terms of finding garbage collection, memory safety, structural typing, and concurrency in GoLang.
Understanding Golang’s Unconventional Concurrency and Multithreading Capabilities
Structural typing showcases an immense amount of flexibility for GoLang users by identifying classes with the help of structure instead of relying on declarations, and garbage collection facilitates the safety of memory by cleaning up all of the unused memory. GoLang has indeed slowly begun to inundate the current development field by being a strong representative of programming power. Due to its growing prominence, there are a myriad of reasons why one should consider taking a closer look at it. So the story eventually goes this way: Google creators built Go while they wanted to compile other programs. They had to rethink system programming to create a compiled solution that enables massive concurrency, multithreading capabilities, and the ability to perform effortlessly under pressure. Since GoLang was essentially built to run on multiple cores, it is also instrumental in supporting concurrency while these cores are added side-by-side. Moreover, speaking of its multithreading abilities, they are a welcome feature to equip one’s technology stack with.
GoLang’s Contribution on the Fast Lane with SoundCloud and Uber's Digital Success
Out of all of the existing Golang apps, SoundCloud, which is a popular artist-centric music sharing platform, surprisingly happens to be an early adopter of the Golang tech stack. In 2012, they planned to release an article about how GoLang was being utilized at SoundCloud. Even though the majority of the app is run by Ruby on Rails, SoundCloud confirmed that they decided to incorporate several programming languages into their backend system. So far, they have been impressed with Golang, as it has the remarkable capability of maintaining important processes, and the team is easily able to comprehend the ins and outs of this software. SoundCloud is also appreciative of Golang technology for capacitance of static typing and faster compilation efforts. To elucidate, this essentially speaks for building, developing, testing, and deploying the app as soon as possible. SoundCloud’s team claimed that all these quick processes meant that some of the simple yet fruitful ideas could undergo conversion from whiteboard to deployment in just a span of one hour.
Even Uber utilizes Golang technology to render quality ridesharing services to their users. Even though Node.js was the first choice for incorporating a suitable programming language, they went on to start using GoLang for their service as they needed something fast and reliable due to the imminent reason that they are dealing with thousands of geofence requests per second! It eventually turned out to be a superior pick as it can be incorporated into multiple CPU cores simultaneously, while on the contrary, Node.js is characteristic of being single-threaded. As a consequence of the geofence success, Uber made the decision to implement Golang technology in their different set of microservices. They're making use of this language to match drivers to the right riders too.
Closing Notes on Golang's Resonance in Making the Way for Building Top Applications
Help your business reach new heights by uplifting and creating its strong digital presence. We, as a Golang Development Company, are offering GoLang Development Services,  to assist your business be a testament to speed, innovation and reliability in the world of programming. Best 2.5 Internal SSD to buy in 2022
Tumblr media
Day by day our PC’s are getting more into complex and hard work then these were used to in 2000’s ,Software’s are getting more bigger , better with lots of new features and a lot new thing to come .So it is time to evolve our PC and make it more adaptable with changes . For that the first step would be introducing your PC with new SSD because without it your PC cant be efficient or productive enough the way you want .If you cant use SSD for storage as its price is relatively 3-4 times higher than a HDD costs, you should buy at least 250 GB SSD for your OS , where you put all your programs, Games and editing softwares . A SSD will make your PC faster ,calmer , quicker and will use less power than HDD takes . It will help your PC boot much more faster like only taking 10 seconds or less what I experienced and with SSD your data is almost 99.9% safe as there is no chance of data corruption because it has no moving parts like HDD and no environmental impact affect a SSD . The only drawback is it has less number of write cycles as compared to HDD, so they can wear over time. Meaning, each cell in a flash memory drive can be written to and erased a limited number of times but Other than that SSD is winner in every aspect and its ability and you should have one.

ADATA SU800 256GB
Next comes Adata SU800 .ADATA Technology Co., Ltd. is a japanaese memory ,  storage and computer case manufacturer, founded in Taiwan, May 2001 .Its main product line consists of DRAM modules, USB Flash drives, hard disk drives, solid state drives, memory cards and mobile accessories. I personally bought this and very satisfied with the speed and TBW (Total Bytes written). The SU800 solid state drive lives up to its Ultimate name with 3D TLC NAND Flash that provides higher storage density, efficiency, and reliability than traditional 2D NAND. It features intelligent SLC caching and a DRAM cache buffer to boost read/write performance upto 560MB/s and 520MB/s to accelerate PCs even further. Featuring LDPC ECC to protects your valuable content against corruption to a much greater extent than non-ECC SSDs or even SSDs that use basic BCH error correction and technologies such as high 800TB TBW (total bytes written) and DEVSLP (Device Sleep).
Tumblr media
Crucial MX500 250GB SATA
Crucial MX500 250GB stands on the 3rd position yet it is also one of the best because there are plenty of ssd out in the market from those I choose this one.Micron Technology, Inc. is an American producer of computer memory and computer data storage including dynamic random-access memory, flash memory, and USB flash drives established in 1978. Its consumer products are marketed under the brands Crucial and Ballistix.Crucial MX500 comes with 3D TLC NAND with DDR 3 SDRAM rather than MLC, so its write speed has to be bolstered by a portion of the NAND acting in an SLC to boost read/write performance upto 560MB/s and 510MB/s .It fearures TCG Opal 2.0 & IEEE-1667 to protects your data against corruption supports 100 TB TBW (total bytes written), which is the lowest among above two SSD’s.

Being a software engineer who cares too much about content creation is... interesting. Because you develop a very two faced sentiment about the word "algorithm." Algorithms for sorting a list of strings faster? HELL YES, RADIX THIS BITCH. Algorithms for what content gets to have an audience? Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh D: I've kind of come to feel about it the same way I feel about the city that insisted on contracting a machine learning system for its plumbing system - entirely against the contractor's repeated recommendations, mind you. "We have seen the slideshows, and machine learning is the future. We don't care what it costs." Well it costed like ten times as much and worked far worse than a simpler system while being far less maintainable for human operators. But that's what happens when you take a task that thrives under simple, humble rules that are meant to be understood by operators, and you say "but aww I have is this hammew 🔨🥺" I'll just come out and say it. If your platform decides livelihoods based on opaque processes and hidden arcana, you don't deserve the creators or the audience coping with you. You are not providing a valuable service by sifting through the garbage atop your noble GPU steed. You are financial insecurity, anxiety, and superstition as a service. There are a hundred ways to build a better platform outside that irredeemable template, and none of them are small or easy pivots, but they do have the cheery little upside that they actually deserve to exist.

[Main Verse ▪️ Only Human]
Following the revolution and subsequent peaceful resolution, Connor works full time for the DPD. He is quickly becoming a decorated detective in his own right and integrating cohesively with his human colleagues. In his deviancy he finds emotions complex but grows to accept this newfound freedom for what it is. He still needs to cope with overstimulation at times which can lead to outbursts of an extreme nature. As he deviated late this is only part of his personal process in learning to be alive instead of under control.
He is very much open to establishing new connections with humans and androids alike but feels more at home with his DPD origins. Connor is aware many of his people think of him as the deviant hunter despite what he did for the rebellion when it mattered. The RK800 has come to accept this. He continues to strive to become something more in his current position to distance himself from Cyberlife.
While he is generally confident there are times he imagines his fate at the hands of Cyberlife. In his eyes they are the enemy. His feelings on Amanda are hostile at best. This provides insight into how he copes with his former masters and uses instinct as well as programming to determine intentions. He does not trust easily due to this. Anyone connected to a company such as this will garner suspicion from him. There are just a handful of people Connor trusts implicitly. Dealing with his issues before deviating only make it difficult for others to break through. He can be guarded but for good reason.
All in all the advanced prototype is still looking for something post deviancy and he embraces this part of himself whole heartedly. Being alive, becoming deviant is what he fights to keep. After all even as someone manufactured Connor discovers his penchant to make mistakes and choose by his volition is only human.
AU Variant Branch of Main Verse: Nefarious Connor Alt Verse
Connor is everything from his main verse: deviant, detective for the DPD but his connections with humans are even less. He deviated at the last possible moment after causing the death of Hank Anderson and murdering many soldiers, including the swat team on the roof at Hart Plaza. He regrets Hank’s suicide but knows very well he cannot turn back time.
His attitude is cooler as he branched out from his machine persona so late in the game. Choosing to disobey Amanda’s order to shoot Markus as he stood on the stage in victory of a peaceful revolution, Connor broke free of the master program by using his emergency exit. A little too late perhaps but he is still on the winning side isn’t he?

[Machine Verse ▪️ Cold Hands, Cold Heart]
The revolution is one to be ended as per his orders. Connor follows the commands of Cyberlife, ignoring any signs of software instability as he completes each of his objectives. The deviant cases themselves all result in death of said fugitive. All calculation and percentages, the RK800 follows only protocol as he leaves his partner to dangle from a roof. He willfully disposes of the Traci's at the Eden Club and shows no sympathy towards those he deems malfunctioning against their creators.
Connor is cool in the full sense. He feels nothing, even as instances of software errors pop into his data core. The mission drives him and he does whatever it takes, including killing his own allies if need to be, to complete his mission. There is no semblance of satisfaction in what he does but an eerie edge to his views on why it must be done.
Deviants will bring nothing but chaos and he is the harbinger laying waste to those who seek freedom. Androids are meant to obey and he will make sure it remains that way. He is willing to sacrifice any for his mission even the humans he as a machine is programmed not to harm. In the end Cyberlife is who he receives his orders from. It does not matter who a person believes they are to him. As he cannot feel anything as a machine Connor only sees it as human or deviant naivety.
Try to stop him and he will switch from his seamless integration programming to his true skilled killer. RK800's are made for one purpose and he aims to fulfill his purpose for the greater good. Whether that means leaving a plethora of bodies in his wake Connor has no remorse. What remorse does a thing not alive have?

The hostage situation. A little girl hanging on the precipice of a building, defective android threatening to leap; Connor successfully completed his mission. He talked down the deviant PL600 before unceremoniously drawing the taken weapon and firing a single bullet into the android’s head. This entire first investigation went off without a hitch….
But Cyberlife got everything out of him. This was to be his last mission. A trial run, this version of Connor is a test prototype identified in error as model #49. He does not go onto the DPD. He does not partner up with Hank to hunt deviants. Those things never happened to him.
In their place, he is taken back to Cyberlife and briefed by Amanda of his successful points, only to be put up for deactivation in order to put out their shiny prototype model-51.
Understandably -49 is confused by this decision. He did what he was supposed to do. He succeeded but soon his existence is about to end. Something cracks in him, something splinters in the virus he was born to destroy. He cracks, refusing to be deactivated when he succeeded in his design.
They take him for deactivation. They toss him away even as he splinters in his code blocks. He fights. He loses. He winds up a shell of himself tossed out like garbage but something resurfaces. Something reboots and he quietly gathers out of the storm and into Detroit city’s night.
Push forward. Push to the present following the revolution and the Connor he would have been, the life he could have had belongs to someone else. -49 is not for the faint of heart. He is defective in every sense of the word. He is violent. His triggers include: stalking and yandere. Murder is his philosophy. Heed this before attempting to interact with him.

[Main Human Verse ▪️ Gin And Tonic On My Mind]
Connor is a young executive with a lucrative career in technological holdings working as a top executive for Atomix. Their current business association with Cyberlife draws him into a deeper tie with their advanced investment: androids. As this advancement continues to grow, he views Cyberlife’s creations in a sympathetic light which is more than his superiors want out of him. With him falling into stress from his position as he watches events unfold with the growing android rebellion his loyalties are tested.
Ultimately let go by Atomix despite his esteemed work ethic, Cyberlife makes a deal to bring him personally into their employment. He is reluctant but must face the truth he requires this new job after being laid off. His views on what it truly means to be alive come into question the more he dives into the inner workings of the very company who bred this artificial intelligence.
Family Life:
Born fifteen minutes before his twin brother Caleb (RK800-60), Connor was an Anderson by name but quickly found himself in the care of an orphanage with his sibling. The two went through hardships before they were adopted by a woman who lived up to her surname, Amanda Stern.
Stern is exactly how she raised the boys and Connor was meant to go onto great things in her eyes. It’s only fitting his brother would want to follow suit. This created some early animosity between them but despite Caleb’s penchant for jealousy, Connor still very much cared for his brother. In fact he loved him as any sibling would; he hated seeing his twin fall completely under the spell of Amanda.
Connor viewed her manner of tough love and cold tendencies as unfit. To this day he still refuses to speak with Amanda for a specific incident involving her and his brother. Caleb seems to forget but the executive surely does not. Hence the reason he kept his family’s last name attached to him, all the while Caleb decided to adopt the name of their ‘mother’ out of a sense of loyalty.
He has loyalty for those he cares for. While he doesn’t hate Amanda it’s difficult for him to forget the manipulation and brainwashing she put his brother though. She still continues to call on him now. Connor’s reception is not hostile but neither is it affectionate. He’s wary of her intent especially with his current dealings with Cyberlife.

[Apollo Verse ▪️ My Kingdom Is Divine]
War runs afoul even among the gods and Connor's virtues are scorned by the highest order. Yet he chose to wage this battle with the king of the underworld himself. One does not trifle without consequence and he felt the same burn. The heat proved too much for the proverbial god of sunlight. Running afoul of his doppelgänger only caused chaos. Some say they both were born of the same seed separated into two halves, light and dark an echo of their power. Connor chose to believe otherwise as he sought to challenge the underworld when capturing a mortal his eye grew fond of. The war he participated nearly tore the realm apart.
Cast out to live among mortals sends him to a very modern world but one he has kept a keen eye on. Inclined to watch closely at the habits of lesser beings he is charmed by their earthly customs. Beauty can be found in the least expected of places after all but Connor grows disillusioned soon discovering he is as trapped to this mortal coil as they.
Though thrown out he still holds powers to some degree. It is less so but enough to invoke his dazzling charm. He lives the sun itself even as he flew too close. Gifted a lavish home to sate his exile, Connor delves further into the mortal city. Becoming human does not take away his otherworldly aura but does taint his pleasant ideas of humans. The seedier this city becomes the more truth in humanity's sins he uncovers.
A godly being shamed to walk on earthly soil does not rest. He seeks a way to return by any means necessary. Unlike the king of the underworld Connor's trials are more difficult. It seems he will never find his way back. What becomes of a higher being cursed to mortality? Only time will tell and he has far too much on his side.

[Fantasy Verse ▪️ Hunter Becomes the Hunted]
Connor is a skilled huntsman who wields a bow as mightily as a warrior with a sword. Tales of his traverses deeper into the woodland become something of local legend. After all not many have the skill or will to delve into the dark heart of the forest. He sees himself as one with nature. Even as his father trained him in the techniques of a huntsman, he still holds respect for the ecosystem and its inhabitants.
Living on his own has proven isolating at best but he finds the solitude of the wood a far better companion than village folk. A regular boy of the forest, he grew as a hard worker on his parent's farm before it lost its luster. All good things must come to an end. He finds these skills of labor aides him now in his adulthood.
Many tales follow these woods and Connor is neither a believer or denier. He does respect all that comes from the area even those tall tales of the fantastic. They humor him mostly. He deals with what he truly can see, taking hunting contracts to bring in the hide and fur of bears alike. His job can be dangerous but living as a peasant far away from royalty is a better simpler life. He may not be rich but his hunter's heart makes up for it.
When Connor stumbles upon those tall tales in the flesh his simple existence becomes much more interesting. Journeys further into the forest he so admires brings him closer to those mysteries. Perhaps they will even be answered as he falls victim to the glamour of mystical beings. Truthfully this is exactly what he has been searching for.

Connor is that form of law. He is a prototype, high tech police construct branded to Cyber AI masters. He is the most advanced of his kind. His mission is to oversee proper code of living in environmental sectors all through the city of Detroit. Humans are no longer the leading population, needing to don designations marking them as such. Androids make up the bulk of earth’s residents. Many humans have died off but others are infused with upgrades, machine parts turning them further to their technology than ever before. Humanity itself is the minority but android racists still preside among them causing trouble with innocent constructs still obtaining all they can to being alive. Connor has no such privilege. He is still machine, devoid of emotional charge, until something forces him to snap and fall into deviation….

[Vamp Verse ▪️ His Immortal Beloved]
An ancient of the first order of vampyre dating back to the period of the crusades paints a rather old world image. Connor comes from a noble line of mortal blood long since extinguished from the world. He is all that remains or rather the noble part of this lineage. Vampire royalty, he is a prince of the night realm who was unjustly banished from his homestead by his ruthless brother. An overthrow of the proverbial throne forced him to flee.
In the hundreds of years since he has established his very own clan with loyal subjects that view him as the rightful king. His title remains despite no longer calling home his but that does not stop his influence. While he does not wish a war over the vampire hierarchy, Connor seeks to regain a place among his ancestral court.
Animosity is rife between he and his estranged brother as they once again come into contact. Attending court gatherings are all apart of the society code and he takes advantage of this in a return to his home. While he feasts on the blood of humans as any vampire, the prince does not unjustly torture or kill his prey. He is a bit neater in that aspect. As one of two remaining in a powerful ancient line it is safe to say he is the merciful one.
However, Connor is hardly a pushover and will do what must be done if necessary. Honor among vampires is so fragile in the modern world but he strives to offer it to those he deems worthy. What happens when the prince feels the pull of the mate thread for the first time? Even he believed it was mere fantasy in his world of the dank and undead.

Conflicting Signals pt 3
And so, upon the desk, the old phone sat. Forced to listen to the irritating sound of keyboard clattering as Professor Owen dug through various programs to pinpoint the current cause of Primo’s irritation. The fact that he couldn’t figure it out on his own definitely made him considerably angrier- but he’d just deal with it for now, and make use of said anger in due time.
Plink!
A notification rung out from the computer, and the human gave a hum of understanding. Owen turned to the phone with a quirked brow.
“So after reading through the files and checking the logs- The main thing that has cropped up is something flagged in your behavioral programming. Something about an override that is doing rather horribly. Putting all of that processing power into such an override is causing the error flags to pop up...”
“....Oh.”
That was something Primo hadn’t expected. The override wasn’t giving any initial flags when he started it..The phone’s bells rang in irritation, and he let out a static filled grumble as the cables attached to him were forced from their ports and his front hatch closed. “Then it is nothing that needs fixed. I will just improve the override.”
Owen reached out to the phone, but quickly recoiled as he decided against it last second. “You know that is extremely taxing on your software-” he was cut off by an electronic screech from the phone, a sound just to get the human to shut up.
“You know nothing.” Primo hissed, the ooze he shed earlier came slithering into the room and pulled the phone off the table, reconnecting it to the metal pipe in the process. And once again he assumed his octoling-esque form and priestly garb. “What happens with this phone’s software really doesn’t mean anything to me. I have so many resources, and so many identical backups that I can just..Go on forever.”
Stepping in close, the abomination towered over the human. “A shame the humans couldn’t do the same, no? But they just went and fucked up the planet, ruined a chunk of their own population, and then some of them left. A shame you got left behind though. In an absolute garbage-heap of a cryogenic stasis pod no less..- Oh, right, you designed that as well! At least you were able to make one good creation. And that creation brought you back to life! Ha ha!”
“It’s funny how..I brought you back, created you out of ooze, something of my own creation. I guess I am now your creator, hm? Fitting since I have become much akin to a god in this world..”
“If only those worms who writhe upon the surface had listened to me more in the past when I tried to uplift them...”

RK900 - Emote
Summary: RK900 struggles with his ability to show emotion and how his programming interferes with daily life
---
Today was a day like any other. Empty paper coffee cups and mounds of paperwork littered my desk. The coffee wasn’t mine, of course. Detective Reed had a nasty habit of pushing his garbage onto my side of our shared work space.
Officers and detectives shuffled across the room, made phone calls, and generally did their jobs. Gavin and I had finished all our assigned cases, leaving us with nothing to do. He decided to take the time to socialize with Officer Chen. I thought, maybe, I should take this time to improve my own social skills.
It wasn’t something I would consider myself good at. All these sounds, and all the movements around me, it was distracting, hard to keep at bay. Adding a conversation to focus on was surprisingly taxing to my software. To say the least, it was hard for me to express what I was feeling without leaving myself vulnerable. Not only that, it seemed I was physically incapable sometimes.
Connor recommended I simply allow my deviancy to take course on its own: the same way he did. He doesn’t seem to realize that, while we are of the same series, we are not the same model. As Amanda said, I’m more advanced. Even though I was designed to deviate, my creators didn’t take into account that the added software would create... difficulties allowing myself to act like a common, fluid human being.
My movements were exceptional, but no more natural than any other model. My facial expressions, on the other hand, were sub-par at best. Mustering whatever confidence I could, I stood from the safety of my desk.
Confident strides faded as I reached the rec room, shorter, more hesitant. Human tendencies were so confusing. All that gusto stripped away within ten feet.
“Conan? Are you alright?” Connor set his hand on my shoulder, pulling all my thoughts to him.
“Do I look perturbed?”
“You don’t look anything. You never look anything.”
My gaze fell to the ground.
“I know. I’m trying to work on it.”
“Maybe,” Connor started, taking a deep breath, “maybe you’re not supposed to.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” This time I knew that my face showed something. Eyebrows and eyelids drew closer as a frown settled on my face. Was it confusion, or was it offense?
“It’s just, maybe you weren’t programmed to be an emotive person. Not all human beings are emotional people.”
“That’s bullshit and you know it.”
Connor rolled his eyes, a grumble of a sigh falling from his mouth. His tongue poked out to moisten the artificial skin of his lips, and he rolled both his shoulders and neck.
“Look, I’m trying to say that just because you don’t show how you feel, it doesn’t mean you’re broken.”
“But what if I am?”
It fell silent between us, but the ongoing chaos of the precinct continued to fill my ears with useless nonsense. The chatter, typing, ringing phones, and shuffling papers spurred on my irritation. My fingers tapped at the fabric of my pants. Shifty eyes flicked from one moving object to the next, chest heaved with increasing speed.
“Hey, let’s get out of here. You deserve some rest.” Connor successfully lead me away from his desk and out the door. At some point we got in a car, and then we were home.
Sumo was asleep.
The house was quiet.
Connor sat me on the couch.
“Are you okay?”
My head was muddled. I couldn’t decipher my own thoughts. Deviancy had never been easy on me. I saw everything. Every piece of information about whatever I was curious about until it committed itself to memory.
“I don’t know,” I whispered, hands pressed against my ears and eyes screwed shut. "What's wrong with me, Connor?"
His thumbs pressed against the backs of my wrists as the rest of his fingers wrapped around the underside, pulling my own palms away from my head. He cradled them in his own, stroking the backs with his thumbs.
"I want you to look at me, Conan."
Grey-blue eyes slowly revealed themselves to be met with dark brown.
"Good." Connor smiled softly. "You're crying," he whispered.
One hand was snatched away from his grasp to touch the salty liquid that spilled down the surface of the artificial skin.
"...why?"
Connor seemed to choke on his words. A soft, artificial, breath left his nose. His hand slipped away, he stood from his kneeling position and sat next to me on the couch.
"You're upset. That's what happens." He placed a hand on my shoulder, arm draped across my back. "For humans, it's to flush out excess hormones. We were made to perfectly emulate them. Tears are a part of the emotions."
"Why did I ever deviate? It makes me useless. I can't even do my job."
"You're the best detective in the central precinct," Connor cut in. "You do your job just fine. The problem is that you try to hard to prove you can do your job. Everyone is capable of burnouts. Just be careful. Take it more slowly from now on."
With one more lopsided smile, he stood, ruffled my hair, and walked to his bedroom.
"Get some rest, Conan. I'll see you in the morning."
Maybe Connor was right all along.
Take it slow.
Let it take its course.

My Mother 2.0 [1]
They called this a city once, back when most humans hadn’t stowed themselves away inside the Domes yet. It was the kind of noisy place where the hustle and bustle of life made itself heard from one sunrise ‘til the next, a shiny wonderland carpeted with so many lights, you would have had a hard time deciding whether the sky was above or below. If the stars dotting the night beyond several strata of thickly layered particulates have anything in common with this place now, it would be that neither is host to any form of life.
They called this a city once, and it was alive. It was so, so alive. Sturdy spires of steel and glass which arose from the ground were the body. Elevated roads intertwining and crossing with each other without beginning nor end, the veins pulsating with the motorized flow of nuclear-powered vehicles. Thoughts were born from within and cast across a massive cloud of signal waveforms, connecting together the minds and hearts of the citizen - the heartbeat of civilization. The city spoke with holographic ads and neon decorations, inviting the populace to play the game of consumerism and forget about whatever may have lied outside its boundaries. It was a wonderful haven, a cradle for blind children.
They called this a city once, before “battlefield” became a much more apt definition, and far earlier than when it became pointless to call it anything but remnants and similar other definitions.
All is quiet in the windswept ruins today, as it has been yesterday, and the thousand others that came before it. The sound of decadent stillness is a gentle breeze dusting off the wreckages of amputated buildings and purposeless machinery. Mangled corpses with their artificial innards left exposed, to gnawed at by the acidic rains that sweep the surface in periods that span months - at times, even more than that. The last sizzling drop fell a week ago, marking the end of a record-setting decade-long shower. The clouds above have thinned into filaments the same color of the dirty gray soil beneath them now, and it won’t be long before they grow back into overbloated bags of poisonous death. Four years at best. Six months at worst.
Positronic filaments of nano-nerve swimming inside an enriched electrolite gel gaze upon the decomposing landscape through a single optical lens swiping back and forth within the confines of its horizontal visor. Visual data is fed to the wetware-borne maws of artificial neurons governed by quaternary code, providing a cause: only then is the effect produced, and that effect is an emotion, simulated though it may be. However shoddy this attempt at imitating the spark of its creators’ life may be, it nonetheless wouldn’t be so far-fetched to say that what the machine “feels” is worry.
None of it shows on its face, nor will it ever. A tactical visor with its unblinking blue light cannot squint, nor arch an eyebrow it does not possess. Nor could those lips grimace appropriately, cast as they are in the same solid alloy as the rest of its body, their illusion of softness almost cruel. Its face is a mask, forever constricted in a role that it has long since abandoned
(although it would be more correct to say that it was her duty that abandoned her)
just like the scarred rest of its armored shell. Gray plaques and arrays fused to a sleek blue anthropomorphic frame: like an accident on the evolutionary scale, a misstep between a human female and a military craft. It--she would easily pass off for yet another piece of scrap among the many others dotting the scenery, were she not moving, thinking and mulling to herself over how troublesome the immediate future is going to be. Hers are unsteady steps, made less than even by whatever attempt she made at jury-rigging a solution to damage that her left leg’s joint received some century or so before. It makes the trek across the broken wasteland a painstakingly excruciating chore, as if a road paved with more climbing than actual walking didn’t already provide more than enough of an annoyance.
A chore, yes, but a necessary one nonetheless. Raw materials won’t come to her lair by themselves, convenient though it would be. Her foraging expeditions and warped atmospherical agents have brought her this far, miles upon miles of terrain outstripped of its every salvageable resource between her abode and the new boundary she has set here, one among the many monuments to conflicts older than even her left by humanity. Soon - say, a dozen or so years - she might have to relocate her hideout altogether. Carve herself a comfortable nest underneath the rubble and bent metal and the skeletons of broken technology, and then...
And then wait. Sleep. Recharge. Tinker with this or that device in an attempt to reproduce the components necessary to repair her damaged energy cells. Gather the materials to do so. Live, with no other purpose than living, for no reason other than that she does not feel like letting herself do otherwise. Waiting, alone, with the sole company of her silen--
The glowing trapezoidal arrays connected to the side of the machine’s head perk up, greedily rerouting power to themselves to extend their range of action. The faint hum could easily be a particular strong gust of wind in the distance, but her recognition software too good to fall pray to the silly assumption. She has plenty of time to seek a hiding spot beneath the overturned, charred chassis of some kind of unrecognizable contraption the size of a house and let her visual feed prove her suspect right.
It is little more than a dot at first, lost among the particles invading her ultra-zoomed vision. Minutes pass as it grows into a definite shape hovering above the horizon: anti-gravitational cells in a set of four, sustaining the weight of a gleaming white frame, its rectangularity softened by the smoothness of its every corner. There is an otherwordly elegance to this vehicle which was clearly produced within a Dome. It rides the emptiness between its clean, pristine self and the ugly soil like a specter, advancing while in the middle of a descent so gradual it’s nearly imperceptible, until at last mere few meters separate it from landing, and a hundred or so from its attentive observer.
From her limited perspective, the machine can only hear the sound of doors sliding open, and get a glimpse of a silhouette falling - thrown, that is - with a soft thud on the ground below. It isn’t followed by the other passengers: their mysterious cargo has barely left them, that they’ve already arisen and begun to retrace their invisible pathway back to their little bubble, away from the filthy legacy of their ancestors.
Moments pass, compounding seconds together into clumps of minutes that pile up until, at last, the machine has decided that she won’t stay there to wait any further and watch it crash over her, prudence be damned. She abandons her hiding spot to sneak through the most roundabout route to the source of her curiosity and caution alike: no sane Dome-dweller would leave their comfy artificial cradle just to dump their garbage in some forgotten corner of the ruined rest of the world. Humanity has a knack for shoving away that which displeases it, and then pretending it never was there in the first place - oh, she certainly knows a thing or two about that.
It’s experience that keeps her sensors primed and reawakens combat sub-routines that had been hibernating for aeons since the last time they wered called upon. Slow step after another, with caution impeded by that lame leg of hers, bitter resentment guides her to the innocuous-looking bundle of rags with methodical lack of haste. Several signs and tells begin to become manifest one after the other, sensorial perceptions that all come together to tell her that whatever’s wrapped inside that ruined mess of cloth, it is alive - and it is unwell.
She confused it for static at first, but she stands corrected now that a few paces stand between them. The thing breathes: a series of wheezes desperately attempting to make their way through passageways too clogged to let more than a few particles of dirty air through, in a slow rhythm occasionally broken by failed attempts at coughing. It’s a wonder that something could still be alive with their respiratory system doing such a poor job. It is also cruelly reassuring. If anyone has to fear for themselves, it’s not the former military weapon still armed with somewhat functional ordnance. There are other percentages of the latter’s artificial brain that scream otherwise, overzealous as they are in their stubborn attachment to predictional percentages of danger and whatnot. They get rerouted and quietly shut down by the overwhelming majority of routines begging to uncover the first genuine sign of novelty that has made itself manifest in what must have been forever. By the time she has crouched and plucked away a patch of fraying fabric, there’s no space left for doubt - only surprise, locked behind her immovable features.
The child takes a few seconds to look back at her with his eyes clouded by the viscous, opaque tears streaming from them. He does not speak, and likely cannot either way. He doesn’t express the same amount of bewilderment as his finder - he doesn’t express anything in fact, because pain has twisted his features into pure agony... at least whichever of them are visible.
Rigid fingers like sturdy gauntlets reach out and delicately poke the visage without protests from its owner, or any sign that he even noticed this invasion of his personal space for that matter. Miridium alloy clinks against chitinous scales of unknown origin or nature: they cover at least half of the boy’s face, going as far as to reach his hairline, and who knows how much of his body that has yet to be revealed. His right eye and the corresponding corner of his mouth are almost sealed shut, left with mere slits to peek through, barely enough to emote - the remaining rest of his features do more than their fair share of the job, anyway.
The machine reaches deep into her database for a match that does not exist. A disease or viral agent of some sort, the effects of a biological weapon or something else entirely: any and all of these could have caused what is plaguing the the boy’s body. Any would be a good reason to cast him away, for the purity-obsessed dwellers of the Domes.
A blue dot shines faintly on the boy’s visible eye, over the grey humor fogging it up. The machine’s “pupil” is fixated on this doomed little package, and what are likely to become his last, pathetic moments. A forgotten left-over, doomed to inconsequential oblivion amidst the ruins of other hushed mistakes.
There is nothing tethering her to this place. She could arise and walk away to resume her self-imposed routine, filing this chance meeting as a little aside, a single speck of dust in the vast desert of her dull memories. Cold logic nudges her in that direction, telling her to act like the machine she is.
Her decision is a spark of emotional illogicity, utterly broken like that of her voice module bristling to life with the difficulty that comes from having left it unused for longer than entire outposts have been alive.
“Alri-i-i-i-i-ight. Let’s fix you U-U-U-U-U-U-p.”

Injection Molding For Today’s World!
From plaything LEGO blocks to space shuttle wind turbine blades, plastic shot molding touches our lives every day. However what is plastic shot molding? Why is it so popular? And is the procedure right for your production demands?
What is shot molding?
Shot molding is an usual production process for generating large volumes of components normally constructed of steel, glass, rubber or plastic. Injection molding is a little like making Jello. The process includes injecting liquified material into a mold and letting it awesome to a solid state.
What is plastic injection molding?
Plastic shot molding is the procedure of producing plastic parts by injecting liquified plastic into a steel mold.
The procedure started in 1872 when the American creator John Wesley Hyatt patented the first plastic shot molding machine in an attempt to replace ivory billiard spheres with plastic spheres. While his product didn't quite satisfy the needs of the marketplace, his device did. Considering that the device's creation, the plastic injection mold making market progressed swiftly from initially producing small as well as basic plastic parts like switches to manufacturing complex clinical equipment today.
What items are made from injection molding?
Producers all over the globe use injection molding to manufacture all sort of items. You can use shot molding machines to make anything from a large item like a garbage can to a tiny things like a mobile phone instance.
One of the most extensive use of plastic injection molding is to make non-consumer components used in situations where aesthetic allure doesn't matter-- like mechanical components-- since the injection molding process often leaves contaminations behind on the plastic component. Why? Allow's check out the process to discover.
What is the shot molding procedure?
In nonprofessional's terms, injection molding boils down to four easy actions:
Thaw material
Infuse the molten material into a mold
Let the liquified product cool to a solid state
Get rid of the hard product from the mold
However we can not discuss the shot molding procedure without discussing the injection molding device. A plastic shot molding equipment includes four main parts:
Shot Device
Clamping Unit
Control
Base
How a plastic shot molding equipment works
To begin the plastic shot molding process, plastic pellets are fed from a receptacle right into a barrel. The barrel consists of an interior auger.
Put simply, an auger is a screw designed gadget that feeds material by rotating. Heating unit bands outside of the barrel heat the barrel and also screw, melting the plastic right into a molten state.
When the equipment's cycle is initiated, the mold closes, and also the auger dives ahead under high pressure like a huge plunger in a syringe.
In less than a few seconds, the inner auger infuses the liquified plastic right into the empty part of the mold called the tooth cavity. To promptly cool the molten plastic, a coolant-- usually water-- moves around the mold via channels, similar to an engine block. In typically less than one minute, the plastic solidifies right into the form of the dental caries.
After the plastic component solidifies, the mold opens, and also the component is expelled. When the plastic injection molding machine ejects the strengthened plastic component, the process can begin again.
What plastic is utilized for injection molding?
Plastic component producers most frequently utilize thermoplastics for injection molding. Thermoplastics are polymers that turn into molten under heats as well as solidify under cool temperatures. Unlike thermoset plastic product, which sheds if it is reheated, you can warm and also cool the thermoplastics numerous times before it deteriorates past use.
You'll most often see thermoplastics in plastic pellet-form for injection molding purposes. You can blend plastic pellets with colorants, recycled material, and also even shine or other specialized additives.
The most typical types of thermoplastics are:
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS).
ABS is an inflexible as well as light-weight product. It's a preferred material to make use of for plastic injection molding. Did you recognize that LEGO bricks are made out of ABS?
Polycarbonates.
Polycarbonates are transparent thermoplastics. They are impact resistant and also can hold up against high levels of plastic contortion without breaking or cracking. Manufacturers frequently use this kind of polycarbonate for eyeglasses lenses, medical devices, and smart phones. You can even utilize it to make bullet-proof glass!
Nylon.
Nylon has special electrical residential properties as well as is difficult. From sports devices to industrial parts, you'll find this type of thermoplastic existing in a large range of applications.
Polypropylene.
Polypropylene is a versatile material. It additionally has good chemical resistance as well as does not leach right into food products, making it a perfect option if you want to make food containers or eating tools.
Polyethylene.
Polyethylene is just one of the most versatile plastics to make use of for injection molding. Polytheylene's high ductility, tensile stamina, impact resistance, low dampness absorption, and recyclability make it an optimal material for plastic containers and bags.
Why is injection molding great?
Plastic production is just one of the fastest growing production industries in the USA. From 1980 to 2015, employment in plastic manufacturing, which includes employment in plastic shot molding, exceeded the whole production field by 1.5% yearly generally. There are several reasons why makers in the United States love plastic, specifically plastic injection molding.
Mass production.
Plastic shot molding is one of the fastest production processes in the world, lending itself well to automation.
A shot molding cycle normally takes less than a minute and can sometimes just be a couple of secs! Integrate the quick cycle time with the reality that each cycle can generate several components, and also the outcome can be rather substantial.
Low waste.
Unlike CNC machining, which removes plastic from a large block or sheet, plastic shot molding generates really little waste product.
For CNC machining, you may start out with a 100g block of plastic yet by the end of the production process, you could be entrusted to a final product that just considers a couple of grams. Plastic shot molding is a lot more reliable. Out of 100g of initial plastic product, only 20g becomes waste on average.
Complicated parts.
Products used the plastic shot molding process can be elaborate, which can minimize the number of different parts required to make a solitary things, even more shaving down overall manufacturing time.
By adding features such as loosening fixtures and core draws, you can produce get rid of strings or side holes, getting rid of secondary operations called for when utilizing other producing processes. You can also mold your layout or business's brand name right onto the part throughout the production process.
Plastic injection molding can generate hundreds of complex plastic parts in one day.
Affordable (in the long run).
Since plastic shot molding wastes much less material than various other sorts of plastic production like CNC machining, it is a less expensive procedures. Plus, plastic is less costly than other materials like steel and rubber.
Recycling is one more cost-saving attribute of plastic shot molding. You can recycle any type of remaining plastic that isn't part of the final product by grinding it up. This spin-off of the procedure is called "re-grind." If you have enough regrind, it can be combined with virgin material as well as made use of in process. It can likewise be marketed to a manufacturing facility that produces plastic get rid of reduced cosmetic requirements, making the general process a lot more budget friendly.
When you pay for the initial cost of the mold, the labor prices are reduced to operate it. In time, the mold's high production price will pay for some, if not all of itself.
Regular quality.
Plastic shot molding is a very repeatable process. With a shot molding maker, you can produce countless plastic parts in simply eventually, and they will all be of comparable quality. Pending proper mold style, product option, and also item design, the denial rate for plastic injection molding can be less than one percent.
If uniformity is important for your brand name or task, plastic injection molding is an excellent production approach.
The disadvantages of shot molding.
Although plastic injection molding has lots of benefits, the process has a couple of disadvantages, which are essential to take into consideration if you're thinking of using the process to make your following plastic part.
High upfront costs.
Plastic shot molds are intricate. Just experienced engineers understand just how to create as well as develop them, implying labor prices are high. And also, there are lots of steps to developing a mold that will certainly create millions of identical parts in time. A straightforward, single dental caries mold can begin at $2,000-$ 3,000. Whereas a high-production, multi-cavity mold made with set tool steel can cost $100,000 or more.
To construct one mold, there are four major phases.
1. Designing.
Trustworthy mold manufacturers use the most up to date CAD software application. This program lets plastic mold engineers envision, test, as well as alter styles-- all with a few clicks. Take the opportunity to try to reduce the tooling expenses in the style stages. Even the smallest information can have a dramatic influence. Keep in mind, altering a design is easy and low-cost, yet transforming a physical things may cost you dearly.
2. Prototyping.
Unless your mold is very fundamental, prototyping the mold is the very best practice. Otherwise, you may invest six figures on a mold that doesn't satisfy your needs! 3D printers work well in the prototyping phase since using them doesn't set you back way too much. Depending on the component's style, polymer spreading, machining, or making may be appropriate as well.
3. Tooling.
Tooling is the last action in the mold building procedure. Throughout this step, designers change the design into an ended up product. An excellent plastic shot mold supplier will certainly have an in-house tool area with a wide range of tooling materials as well as makers available to them.
4. Evaluating.
Despite the very best style, prototyping, and tooling initiatives, never avoid the testing phase. This is an opportunity to check important aspects like the finished surface area of the plastic part and how the jogger divides from the component. Utilize the testing phase to make small modifications to your mold to ensure lasting performance.
Long lead times.
A premium plastic shot mold will certainly last for a life time. Consequently, it calls for a great deal of planning and screening to get it right. With each other, the developing, prototyping, screening, as well as tooling phases can take months. Plastic injection molding has a long preparation about various other kinds of plastic production.
If you desire a mold that can produce numerous plastic parts in one cycle, it could take even longer. For this kind of mold, a mold producer might even design, develop, and check a single tooth cavity device before attempting to develop the multi-cavity tool. Obviously, the multi-cavity tool will certainly need to repeat the developing, prototyping, building, and also testing phases also.
Nonetheless, once the preparation and also tooling stages are full, a plastic shot mold can generate millions of components in its life time. The sheer range of plastic part manufacturing often outweighs the ahead of time expenses and wasted time.
Unrelenting materials.
Unlike CNC machining, which produces a physical part from a computer style data as well as can be changed at any type of point by a software application designer, it's hard to make drastic alterations to a plastic mold after tooling because it is normally constructed out of steel.
You can transform a plastic mold in 2 different methods. Initially, you can make the mold tooth cavity bigger by cutting away parts of the metal mold. This procedure adds plastic to the part. Eliminating plastic from the part can prove extra difficult. Sometimes, you can weld steel right into the tooth cavity, yet that often might not be possible, as well as a brand-new cavity or a totally new mold could be needed. That can suggest returning to the style stage.
Layout limitations.
Plastic shot molding counts on heating as well as cooling down plastic. If a mold shape creates the plastic to cool in an inconsistent fashion, your plastic part will be vulnerable to defects.
You can limit this danger by ensuring the mold walls are uniform in dimension, so your component solidifies uniformly. Preferably, a plastic shot mold's wall surfaces ought to be no thicker than 4 millimeters and also no thinner than 0.5 millimeters. Remember that the thicker the wall surface, the longer each cycle will take.
Dimension limitations.
If you need to create big solitary plastic parts, injection molding has its restrictions.
While there are shot molding equipments huge enough to produce watercraft hulls, the molding situations discussed in this write-up are for smaller parts, three extra pounds or much less.
If you are in need of a majority, preparations as well as costs can enhance significantly.
You might have the ability to navigate this restriction by using a number of injection molds to create several parts of a huge product as well as assembling it as an additional procedure.

Darkness Rising
Tumblr media
Over the past two years, many of you have asked if I would ever write a followup to my original Lucas theory, Uber A: What’s in a Name?
Well my friends, the wait is over.
The end is near.
The darkness is upon us.
Darkside/Lightside
Tumblr media
Grunwald: I've never considered the content of dreams to be important; it's the impressions they leave that affect me... In this case, the dream left me quite unsettled. The sense was strong enough that I felt compelled to come here.
Hanna: The sense of what?
Grunwald: A darkness, around you and Caleb.
Those of you who have already ventured down the rabbit hole of my original Lucas theory will remember a very literal interpretation of one of Mrs. Grunwald’s impressions that singled out Lucas as “the one Alison fears the most.”
My interpretation of that scene has not changed since it was written. Not only was Grunwald speaking in reference to Lucas back then, but she still is now.
In 7x08, Mrs. Grunwald returns to Rosewood with an ominous message about "a darkness" around Hanna and Caleb. Several factors make that statement particularly interesting. Not only are they standing in Lucas’ apartment when she says it, but the idea that “the darkness” lingers specifically around Hanna and Caleb as opposed to the others seems to point towards Lucas. After all, Hanna and Caleb seem to be Lucas' only friends in Rosewood, as far as we can tell.
Tumblr media
Aria: It’s no coincidence that he turned dark after the masquerade ball.
Spencer: Well, Jenna has that effect on people.
Aria: Yeah, but she’s been gone all summer, and he’s still ‘Boo Radley.’
Have a look at 3x01, the episode that Marlene King called "the return of Uber A" when it initially aired, and watch for when the liars observe Lucas in the cafeteria. Aria calls Lucas "dark," point blank, and then says that he's been that way since the masquerade ball, which is when he started hanging around with Jenna. The Boo Radley reference is also a play on words, foreshadowing Lucas’ suspiciously skulking about at Radley later in the third season.
Lucas is "dark" + Hanna & Caleb his only friends = "darkness" around Hanna & Caleb
Hanna lives in Lucas’ loft. Caleb is there all the time. Caleb is an investor in Lucas’ business. Hanna is doing business with Lucas.
Lucas is the "darkness," just as much as he is "the one Alison fears the most!"
The Grunwald strikes again! Just like in the previous theory, the profile fits Lucas like a custom tailored suit.
Having studied Latin, I'm well aware that the name Lucas is rooted on the Latin word lux (lucis), meaning light. "Bringer of light" is the meaning typically attached to the name Lucas. What a perfect synchronicity for a character described as one who “turned dark!”
Interestingly enough, the "bringer of light” meaning is equally applicable to Lucifer, a fallen angel commonly associated with Satan.
Stunningly, this recent message seems to allude to a fallen condition:
Tumblr media
Embrace your darkness, Em. I’ve had to. That’s how you win the game. A.D.
What’s fascinating is how A.D. seems to offer a glimpse of something personal here, as if speaking from experience as someone who “had to” embrace their own darkness.
Why did they have to, I wonder?
Perhaps in order to win a game in which A.D. was an actual participant. A player, as opposed to the conductor.
Or maybe the oppressed, rather than the oppressor. Sound familiar?
Lucas is someone who took a dark turn, just like Aria pointed out. Maybe he felt that going dark was the only way to win the game he had been dragged into, as in Mona’s original A-game.
It’d be kind of a Batman move to do so, wouldn’t it? Kind of a Dark Knight feel to it?
For Love of the Game
Tumblr media
When Lucas returns to Rosewood (post time jump), he’s shady from the get go. He’s barely been in town five minutes before he bumps into Hanna, which comes across as planned. Heavy stalker vibes. He immediately makes it known that he’s extremely rich, as if he’s been patiently waiting for the moment to impress Hanna with the fact that he drives a Jaguar and owns houses all around the world.
Later on, Hanna asks him to be her alibi for the night that Charlotte was murdered, and Lucas has no qualms about lying to the police, even though he’s terrible at it (or purposely flubbing the story.) That’s shady enough as it is, but it’s not long after that when the first message arrives, stating “you know who did it and I’m going to make you talk.”
Of course Lucas should have suspected their involvement from the moment Hanna approached him for a fake alibi. But he questioned nothing and carried on with a foolish looking white knight act. Of course, you have to consider that he’d really have no need to press Hanna for answers if he could do it more effectively (and anonymously) as Uber ‘A’.
Tumblr media
But by far the most important thing to take away from Lucas’ arrival is that he mentions he’s a highly successful game app developer. Not just software, but specifically games; which is exactly the skill set one would require to create such a monstrosity that combines aspects of a traditional board game with modern technology and real life consequences. The centerpiece is of course an iPhone running a custom designed app.
It simply can’t get any more on target for clues that Lucas is Uber A. Considering this game has to be his greatest creation to date, his masterpiece, then the very execution of the game becomes a motive in itself.
There was a brief time (before the messages were signed as ‘A.D.’) when they referred to the sender as “the techie.” Uber A’s work space has been shown full of stray PC boards, disk drives, wire, soldering gear, and electronic test equipment. Definitely “techie” stuff, but the only legit “techies” we know are Lucas and Caleb.
There’s literally no wiggle room here, folks: it’s either Lucas behind this game, or some new techno-wiz character we haven’t been introduced to yet. It’s getting to the point where it’s impossible to deny that Lucas is involved. Caleb might have the technical skills, but he certainly lacks the specialized game design experience that Lucas has.
Furthermore, the level of personal detail involved in this game means that the creator has to know everything about the players, the rules, how it’s all supposed to work together, and the game’s ultimate purpose. So there's no chance of pleading ignorance or passing the buck when the nerd finally gets caught.
Revenge of the Nerd
Tumblr media
Please excuse the brief rant, but this needs to be said:
Good luck to Marlene King if she thinks she can pass off this dude as Alison’s twin, or Spencer’s twin, or some other physically impossible, equally nonsensical garbage. It just doesn’t work in any way, shape, or form. And the devil’s advocate argument that “A has all kinds of helpers” gets tiresome and annoying, because it’s pointless and anticlimactic to have an uber villain who never actually gets their hands dirty.
On the other hand, Lucas has about the right height and build, and the capacity for explosive anger. The sadism and latent misogyny inherent in the cattle prodding of Hanna comes across when this guy beats the pulp out of Ali. I would wager that once Lucas found out Alison covered up the death of her own husband, it enraged him. He saw the perfect opportunity to terrorize her, and he seized it.
Lucas was low-key happy when he heard Alison was in the hospital after her fall, and I’m sure he’d be thrilled to send her back to the emergency room for a second visit.
From the very beginning, A’s style and attitude has been an intentional mimicry and mockery of Alison DiLaurentis. Now we have ‘A.D.’ as a new incarnation of the same old patterns. Could it be that Uber A’s endgame strategy is the ultimate set up: to pit Alison’s friends completely against one another, turn them to the “dark side,” and then pin the blame for everything on Alison “A.D.” DiLaurentis? Is that not a brilliant method of destroying Alison once and for all?
“It's not whether you win or lose, it's how you place the blame.” -Oscar Wilde
Back in high school, Lucas swore that one day Alison would one day “get what’s coming to her.” An old saying goes that living well is the best revenge, and Lucas certainly lives well, but there’s always the chance that maybe that’s not enough for him. As another saying goes, revenge is a dish best served cold. And seven years after high school is certainly a cold dish.
Never underestimate a patient nerd who harbors a long term grudge.
Uber ‘A’, Ubergeek
Tumblr media
Since the time jump, the Lucas clues have been dropping so frequently that it's hard to even keep track of them all. Lots of people have noted how comic references like The Wrath of Kahn (Star Trek) and The DArkest Knight (DC Comics, Batman) could be a nod towards Lucas and Uber A’s ubergeek status. His bedroom during high school contained several Batman figurines on display.
Most recently, Emily mentioned the exam that A.D. passed for her; a situation that serves as a reminder how Lucas was known for selling test answers in high school.
And then there are more subtle hints, like Jenna saying "we have an Uber waiting for us," which seems a cheeky double meaning of an Uber driver and Uber 'A', and recalls the season six prom when the Liars saw Lucas and Jenna together, and Spencer remarked that "she probably thinks he Uber'd her there."
That’s all cute, but the important point is:
Nobody doubts that Jenna and Uber ‘A’ are connected.
Everyone associated with Jenna turns out to be bad news.
Lucas has been connected to Jenna since the masquerade ball, yet he's managed to dodge suspicion thus far. How? Why? Just because he seems nice and friendly? Because he let them use his apartment? It doesn’t matter how secure their phones are if they’re always hanging out in an apartment that’s wired with secret microphones and cameras.
The fact that Lucas has consistently been involved in sketchy situations since the very first season, but somehow stayed off the radar, makes me confident that he’s not simply a red herring.
Tumblr media
Noel Kahn was the latest of Jenna’s long time co-conspirators to be exposed and brought down. And although the narrative hinted towards him being the one who tortured Hanna in the barn, he died before we could get proper resolution on that.
However, this leaves the door open for a hideous and shocking betrayal when the curtain is finally pulled back on Lucas, and reveals that he was the one who stripped Hanna down to her underwear, hosed her down with cold water, and sadistically tortured her with a cattle prod.
Now that’s what I call dark.
The very idea that this superficially nice and friendly guy would do this to his friend, business partner, and long time crush will send shock waves throughout the fandom, and blow the minds of those who never saw it coming.
Lucas will be exposed as the one behind the masks, and the one behind the game. And then like a broken dam, the truth will come rushing forth, concerning everything he’s done since day one of playing the game with Mona.
Lucas is the darkness.
Lucas is “the one Alison fears the most.”
Lucas is the genius behind the game.
Lucas is Uber ‘A’.

Best Golang Applications - Pattem Digital

A Look into Vibrant Fusion of GoLang Programming Language’s Roots
Go, which is popularly known as GoLang, was designed for the sole purpose of responding to growing disagreements against other existing languages that were used at Google. As a matter of fact, GoLang creators made a note of the animosity directed towards C++ by providing a comprehensive list of modifications they aimed to develop through Go. With that being said, most of the GoLang users mainly belong to the Ruby and Python development fields rather than C++. In addition, many of the elements in GoLang bear a strong resemblance to other languages since they were primarily inspired by them and have initiated a chain of various GoLang Development Services.
If Hollywood Won’t Remaster Its Content, Fans Will Do It for Them
One of the most interesting things about my project to remaster and upscale Deep Space Nine has been the people it’s brought me into contact with around the world. In the nine months since I launched my project, I’ve been contacted by over a dozen individuals who were interested in launching their own projects specifically around Deep Space Nine, and at least that many people curious about other late-90s intellectual property stuck in what I’d unaffectionately call “VFR Hell,” including Babylon 5 (a top request), Buffy the Vampire Slayer, probably its spin-off, Angel (I am uncertain, but if Buffy is a VFR show, Angel probably is as well). Stargate SG-1 is another popular request for remastering, as is Star Trek: Voyager.
Tony Amendola as Master Bra’tac. Stargate SG-1. Upscaled in Topaz Video Enhance AI.
The situation with Stargate: Atlantis and SG-1 is the reverse of TNG and DS9: Atlantis, which began in 2004 and ran through 2009, is available on Blu-ray. SG-1, which began in 1997 and was shown mostly in standard definition for the duration of its run, is only available on DVD. Amazon Prime had both shows until late July 2020, and only the last few seasons of SG-1 were available in HD.
But this isn’t just about late-1990s science fiction. There’s a veritable ocean of content on DVDs that’s never gotten a re-release on Blu-ray because Blu-ray never became as popular as DVD was. In some cases, the failure of expensive Blu-ray conversions to sell as well as expected has been used as an argument for why there’s no point in investing in further remastering.
That argument might have flown before the introduction of mainstream AI upscaling software, but it’s falling out of the sky like a lead turd today. I’ve talked to people working on everything from old Hanna-Barbera Scooby Doo cartoons, to Grateful Dead concerts, to, well, old science-fiction television shows. There’s clearly no shortage of people who are willing to pay to have customized home libraries of upscaled content. That’s always been true. What’s different is that now, it’s possible to do the work at home.
I expect Ampere to deliver anywhere from a 1.5x – 3x performance boost in applications like Topaz Video Enhance AI. At that point, upscaling an episode of 45-minute television would take 2-5 hours — easily handled overnight, while everyone is sleeping. DVD-quality source is far from ideal, but it’s good enough to get real uplift from the underlying footage.
Instead of referring to my Deep Space Nine work, let’s look at a different show: Stargate: SG-1. Here’s a frame from the Season 7 finale “City of the Gods:”
And the upscaled and processed version:
All I did to turn one into the other was apply the same processing techniques I’ve used on Deep Space Nine. Objectively, they’re the wrong techniques. I need to tune them to deal with the show optimally, and I can tell I need to tune them when I look through the footage. But as far as a naive implementation goes, it’s a fair bit of improvement.
Video upscaling is coming for the content market, and while I can’t predict which shows or streaming services are going to adopt it first, it’s going to happen. In the long run, I suspect we’ll see these capabilities deployed in edge computing and as centralized options services like Netflix and Amazon Prime use to improve their video quality before sending it to customers. Long-term, AI-boosted upscaling may replace more conventional methods of improving image quality. Imagine if, instead of sending an 8K native video stream, Netflix could send a signal encoded somewhere between 1080p and 4K, but with additional hints embedded in the video stream to tell the AI upscaler at the other end how best to handle the content.
But even as we see these capabilities deployed at-scale, we’re going to see them in the individual consumer market as well. It’s already happening. People are buying content in various forms, or looking through their own archives to find media they recorded decades ago and running it through modern software to improve the final quality. There’s nothing new about that, in and of itself. But AI upscaling software can make such a dramatic difference, it’s driving interest in the topic.
Given that consumer-friendly commercial AI upscaling software is so new, I genuinely believe we’ve barely scratched the surface of what the technique is capable of. It’s not that I think fans can do this job as well as studio professionals can — if anything, my work on Deep Space Nine has convinced me of how nice it would be to have an actual studio doing the work in the first place. But it doesn’t matter. People aren’t waiting.
This represents nothing less than a sea change in who controls final output quality. Up until now, studios have wielded near-total control of final video quality. There have always been individuals active in the video editing community who could help you improve a clip or sharpen a video. But for dramatic improvements, the movie or television studio was the only realistic game in town for 99.9 percent of viewers. That’s not going to be the case going forward.
The entire point of my Deep Space Nine work is to demonstrate to Star Trek fans that the mediocre DVD version, while vastly better than the Netflix/Amazon Prime streams, is merely the gateway to dramatically improved image quality. There’s a tremendous opportunity for studios and content creators here, especially in the middle of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic when the challenges of producing new content are high. It’s precisely because studios can perform this work more effectively than individuals that I’d like to see more of them backing remastering and upscaling projects. But the work itself is happening regardless.
I created my Deep Space Nine project partly because I was angry at the quality of the show as represented by Netflix and Amazon Prime and I wanted Star Trek fans who searched for “Deep Space 9 upscale” or something similar to find a repository of information that would show them how to create the best possible version of the show, to stand against the garbage streaming services have decided constitutes acceptable quality. Thanks to the advent of upscaling, no fan of any show has to accept whatever bargain-basement encode companies can vomit into the internet.
Companies with IP belonging to once-popular films and movies that haven’t been reissued in 1080p or above ought to take note: Chances are good that at least some of your fan base has already noticed the capabilities of new AI upscaling engines and is working on taking advantage of them. After waiting for decades to see their favorite content in something approaching modern resolution, there’s a lot of general impatience that isn’t tied to any specific show or movie. Anyone who doesn’t get in front of the trend now risks discovering their most dedicated fans created their own solution years ago, to fill a void the IP owner wasn’t interested in occupying.
