when do you know it's over for you?
for me, it's when i want to make them something— cookies, something crocheted, a poem;
excessive daydreaming means nothing to me, for i've spent all my life half here, half somewhere else,
nor is it the thought of sweaty skin and heavy heaving, for i've dreamt of my own since i was a misaligned kid;
for me, the end is in my mundanity— in the things i don't think twice to do,
in the things i do that feel just like breathing;
if you happen to be on the receiving end, just know i'm handing you the knife to end me, right then and there.

i don't know why people are so afraid of being mediocre at things and even discouraging to those who aren't. hobbies don't have to be lifetime commitments. the act of creating and the desire to learn are such primal needs, sometimes your mind and soul just have to be fed. you don't have to prove anything to anyone. as long as it makes you feel good that's all that matters

My most recent batch of handspun. It’s a bit hard to see, but the darker pink and gold yarns have glitter (Angelina) added to them. These are currently being worked into a sparkly and joyful little sweater for myself.

if you can't afford a packing jockstrap or can't buy one for whatever other reason btw you can buy regular jockstraps for cheap (sometimes they even come in 3-packs) and sew a piece of scrap fabric to the inner front to keep your packer in. mine look like shit so i'm not gonna do like a tutorial or example pics but it's super simple. also if you can't afford a packer you can crochet one (link leads to ravelry pattern) and fill it either with fiberfill or potentially something heavier. pure cotton won't give you the sense of heaviness a regular packer would give you but for the visual alone it absolutely works and the best part is the size is fully customizable. i made a stupidly huge one just so i can still have a bulge in my big dumb cargo pants. go forth be trans mwah i love you

I was going to read, but the yarn for this stacking toy pattern just got delivered. I promised my cousin I'd make it for her son's first birthday this month 🦖

Brain so rotted by modern technology that everytime I crochet something in my head I call it 3d printing by hand.

So it's mother's day and instead of making my mum a "normal" card, I decided that I would make her a card congratulating her for *finally* finishing the quilt she started 18 years ago (life got in the way lol). Not gonna lie, I'm kinda proud of how it turned out
^^ the card vs the quilt
I love making silly little cards. I even included a joke about giving her a "paper pieced quilt" because I'm pretty sure that's a real thing (I realise I'm not as funny as I think I am)
