Ballad of the tank-men (Restless Rains) by Edmund Fetting

This is one of my first ideas that popped up in my had after watching The Bad Batch. It’s a very specific crossover that... might be the best understood by Polish people as well as other former Soviet Union nations/Eastern Bloc countries where that TV series has a status of a cult classic.

The series I crossedover TBB with is called Four Tank-men and a dog and is a Polish black and white TV series (1966 - 1970), set during WWII and follows the adventures of a tank crew of the 1st Polish Army

The crew consisted of:

Olgierd Jarosz - The first commander, a meteorologist (who often was able to forecast the weather).

Janek Kos - the youngest of the crew, a marksman, and owner of a well-trained dog Szarik (the titular “...and the dog”).

Gustaw Jeleń/ "Gustlik“ - a loader who was known for his extraordinary strength.

Grigorij Saakaszwili - a tank driver.

Tomasz Czereśniak/ “Tomek” - second gunner who appeared later in the story. He played the accordion. 

To see the skillset of the crew (Grigorij’s driving, Gustlik’s strength, Olgierd’s weather prediction, Janek’s sharpshooting skills) watch the 45:45 - 51:10 mark (the video is a first episode of the TV series - that’s why it’s so long). There is a bit of talking (don’t worry I found the subbed version!).

So yeah... you all compare TBB to TMNT and other teams like that... but for me Clone Force 99 is Four tank-men and a dog in space (minus the dog! :( )!

I based the drawing on a promotional photo/still from the TV series as well as I used grayscale as a nod towards first season of the series which was black and white!

Crosshair holds a Wz.35 anti-tank rifle instead of a sniper rifle, because it’s length is more similar to Firepuncher than sniper rifles of that time.

Weird crossover thoughts (DC)

If you’re old enough, everything contemporary gets crossedover with Quantum Leap. If you’re younger (or older), then you can cross anything over with Doctor Who.  But I’ve been watching 1950s episodes of Perry Mason on Amazon Prime lately, and had the wild thought of crossing that over with comics published in the 1950s and 1960s. 

Elongated Man - Ralph would regret not being able to investigate himself.

Flash, Batman, Green Arrow - just more clients lying to Perry. Or at least keeping information from him.
