Does a heart motivated by passions and the desire to help others make it weak? Is it wrong and evil to be weak? friendly reminder, the way Sauron deceived Boromir was not by promising him wealth, nor power, nor his own safety- he thought he would be strong enough to defend a whole city and defeat Sauron. Boromir had a heart that was neither weak nor strong, but both at the same time- his heart was full.

The scene where Drax pets Rocket in order to comfort him after losing Groot in the first Guardians movie hits so different now after watching Vol. 3. When Drax first puts his hand on Rocket’s head, you can see him tense up, probably because most of the physical contact he has had up until that point has been followed by the infliction of pain. It also broke my heart when I realised that this was also probably the first time that Rocket had ever been patted or stroked in an affectionate way by anyone in his life 🥹

Has anyone else mentioned the fact that we never see Husk smile until Loser, Baby? He's always frowning and just standing in the back like he doesn't want to be there (he doesn't). Perpetually pissed off. He's been miserable and drunk ever since he made that deal with Alastor. But right before the song we see him smile for the first time and once the chorus hits that smile barely leaves him for the whole song. And after that, we finally start seeing him smile more regularly. At the hotel, at the bar, wherever. Loser, Baby was the song Husk sang to help Angel stop hating himself for his mistakes and be able to enjoy his own life. Except he wasn't just telling that to Angel, he was also telling himself

Look, I know it's supposed to end badly. But I need to admit that in my head, they declared a mutual "fuck this shit" to the world and society. Packed all the stuff they could one late night and escaped to a remote open plain in the middle of some thick woods where they spent the rest of their lives healing and living freely in nature.

I've been having a lot of intense feelings about them as well. The tragical elements are so baked in to their story and setting, it's hard to imagine a happy ending for them. But every now and then I find myself thinking of scenarios and AUs where they both live and grow old together. For coping purposes, I suppose.

I just finished reading your post about König's past and when I got to the part where he talked about how he hated that he knew so much about his mother's sex life I got a sinking feeling in my stomach. For a second, I was worried that he also suffered from some emotional inc*st.

That boy has been through too much! I need to tell him how much I love him, how none of his childhood was his fault, how I'm never gonna leave him and tell him how much of a good boy he is!!! König needs his cuddles and kisses STAT!

Oh yeah the core reason why (my version of) König is hypersexual is that there had to be a traumatic event in his early years and/or a prolonged exposure to things that left his budding sexuality a lil crooked & confused... So his high sexual drive is not entirely “voluntary”; it’s compulsory. Like a mixture of complex PTSD and childhood neglect that makes him seek love, pleasure and comfort wherever he can find it?

Throw in a toxic masculine environment (bullying, the army) and piked adrenaline, testosterone & cortisol levels (loads of gym, constant survival situations in training and on missions) and you get a man who’s kinda obsessive about women and sex =)

So yeah he def needs to be told what a good boy he is!! Big big hugs and *lots* of cuddles! ❤️🧸

sometimes I'm minding my own business then I suddenly remember venka. venka betrayed and left arlong, nezha, her family, and everything she knew since she was a child to fight alongside rin. and rin throws that sacrifice in her face and accuses her of betraying her to nezha. but her first instinct when she saw danger? protect rin. venka put herself in the line of fire to save rin, the girl she used to think was beneath her. the venka rin met in sinegard would have ducked. the venka rin was accusing her to be would have protected herself. but venka, the girl who used to be the spoiled, selfish, self-centered princess, died in one of the most selfless ways possible—by protecting someone else. I remember venka, and everything she went through and how she changed and how she was brave and selfless, and suddenly I'm in tears.
