One fun thing about The Dark Crystal is that it’s not exactly the evil skeksis and the good mystics. It’s the cruel skeksis and the gentle mystics. It’s the mystics, who study and ponder and chant and don’t really do any harm, but don’t do any good, either, because all the drive to do anything got ripped out of them; and then the skeksis, who are all drive and hunger and probably can’t stop themselves because all their impulse control is off meditating on the other side of the planet.

I love this cutscene so much. Why did Adeleine start throwing rocks at the ocean. She wasn’t trying to skip them. She just threw rocks at the ocean for no reason. Dedede’s face in this frame is just… perfect. He is so confused about what she’s doing. And then everyone just joins in throwing rocks. They must hate the ocean

Or maybe Adeleine was throwing rocks at it because she’s never seen a huge body of water that wasn’t frozen before so she didn’t know what to do. That’s also a possibility

HISTORY MADE: Bruce Wayne Says "I Love You" to Jason Todd for the first time EVER

It is an historic occasion! In Batman (2016) #138 by writer Chip Zdarsky, Bruce Wayne says "I love you" to his son Jason Todd for the first time in forty (40) years of comics publication. In fact, Bruce says it not just once, but two (2) whole times!

This is also the first time that any of Jason's oddly long series of parents has been depicted saying "I love you" to him.

We do so love an involved parent who openly communicates his feelings about his child. Truly, nobody can shatter expectations like BATMAN!

Now every time someone says "I love you" to Jason, we all can look back at this milestone moment. A first only happens once, and this is now and forever Bruce's first "I love you" to Jason in comics history.
