The one habit i picked up from the old meaner blog helped me detach from the cs community... just right click and save the images of designs i felt fomo for. I saved so many designs that i felt strongly for in the moment. It scratched the itch in my brain enough that i stopped feeling like i wanted my name on all those masterlist entries.

I just like looking at them, sorting them in my file folders like an isolated simulation of toyhouse. And when i stop getting dopamine from them i just delete them, no trade/sell hassle, no worrying about getting what i paid back bc lol i paid nothing to save a png.

I just sent a similar ask to the Terralien vent blog, but I would highly recommend against spreading this document. OP just posted a bunch of screenshots of a very heavy private conversation between them and Gin/Shark that has a bunch of serious topics that Gin/Shark told them in confidence. It also exposes a lot of private stuff regarding their relationship with Coy that really should not be publicized.

There is nothing here that indicates that OP was uncomfortable or telling Gin/Shark to stop or that they should be telling all of this to a professional instead of a 16-year-old on the internet. Not to mention that Gin/Shark is only 19, so it’s not like they’re far apart in age. The “erm I’m a minor” card doesn’t quite work here in regards to what just looks like a conversation between friends.

None of it is even CS related so OP is just going around and spreading this out of malice, it seems.

Wanted to issue a warning to new and old furs especially thos who are gettin into closed species

there isnt anything wrong with CS owners having friends and being public about it but its a different issue when said friends "win" raffles more than seems plausible and anyone who isnt a friend gets treated like shit

sure, play roblox in vc if you want, who cares, but if youre going to be in the PUBLIC vc, dont kick people out, just go to the private vc? fenokey just always gets away with treating normal members like her piggybank and when theyre not giving her money, she couldnt give two shits less about them

This puts it far more eloquently than I could and is a complaint echoed often. That said I do notice they seem nicer in question answering and suggestions as of late. Possibly they have realised their own action. I like to believe that at least.

I'm surprised the species is even still active. I was hoping as they lost popularity, that the mode would be better for staff with less stress.

I've seen people share their success stories about leaving CS/OC communities.

I thought I'd share mine.

I'll put it like this. I put $30k approximately into OCs and CS. Yep.

Out of all the stuff I bought?

I only kept approximately....$6k worth.

Let that sink in.

The rest of that money? I barely made anything back. I'm still selling a lot right now.

One thing that helped me was coming to terms with this:

"Just because I like the look of it doesn't mean I NEED to own it."

I can appreciate it by itself.

Another one that seems really fucking obvious.

You CANNOT buy yourself into a community where you feel included and appreciated. You CANNOT buy friendship.

After mainly leaving CS/OC, I saved enough money to get a new fucking car. That's right. I GOT A NEW CAR!!!!

I took out a car loan of $13k and I've already paid $1700 of it within the first month. I have another $4k locked into an account that's accumulating interest. I have $2k approximately in savings.

Just earlier tonight, I was feeling that same temptation, wanting that dopamine hit while looking at a $250 succubun that looks pretty. My friend helped take the edge off by reminding me how much I saved by not buying expensive pixels anymore. And I really did.

For those that are struggling and want to get out, feel free to DM. I'm NOT a therapist, but I can offer some advice or give you the little push if you need it. Again, I'm not your therapist, so like...don't expect me to act like one and everything please.

“the brain stops developing at 25” is a pseudoscientific myth and current data shows that the brain probably never stops developing in a person’s lifetime. the study the 25 figure comes from pretty much just stopped checking after 25.

BS on the trans stuff. The people who do that are 99% porn artists who exclusively draw trans masc characters that way, I will never believe it isn’t fetishistic. I’ve only met a slim few people with a character as described by original anon who draw porn, or if they do it’s extremely private and not shared outside of friend circles. Maybe you just happen to know people who mostly draw porn? And even if they do, who gives a shit? You’re not allowed to draw porn of bodies that are outside of “the norm” now? Especially when nearly EVERY “feminine trans masc” character I’ve encountered is created by someone who is trans masc and reflecting themselves through the character, sometimes as a way to see a body they might struggle with loving in new light?

No, we’re not gonna do body type shaming here. I’m not “minimizing” anything. How do you think trans men who make their — typically sona — characters look like them feel to have this stupid ass debate come up again and again every few months? How do you think they feel to have their body type that they just so happen to have be called a fetish body type over and over again?
