One morning, when Gregor Samsa woke from troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections. The bedding was hardly able to cover it and seemed ready to slide off any moment. His many legs, pitifully thin compared with the size of the rest of him, waved about helplessly as he looked.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

WARNING: The following novel contains explicit descriptions of rape. Reader's discretion is advised.
The Story
The story is about Rentaro finding out why one of the monoliths is failing.
The story in the first half is so good. It does a fantastic job at dissecting and analysing discrimination without sounding too preachy. It has a lot going for it and I don't want to spoil it for you.
The second half, does what the first episode of Attack on Titan did, but done right. The build up from the first half is so well done... But the rest of the second half isn't that great.
Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad, but the themes that were focused on in the first half were basically forgotten about by the time book 4 came along.
But the second half did the 'Justice doesn't exist' angle right! (Take THAT Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest!), without going into spoiler territory, they did the angle of the inexistent justice so well in a realistic and understandable way, it just shows how greedy some people can be and how the victims can easily become just like the evil guys, if not worse.
One scene that baffles me is the amount of detail on of the characters describes his raping of women. It baffles me because this novel (and the rest of Black Bullet) is rated 13+! I would never want to see a 13 year old read this. It should of been rated 16+. I think 18+ would be a little to high, but I can see why some people would think 18+ was a better rating.
The Characters
The characters are a mixed bag. The new character and in the kimono I could not the life of me remember who she was. She was so bland and forgetful that it makes me wonder why she was in this in the first place.
The rest of the characters are okay, some are good, some are not so great. It's not the worst cast of characters I've seen, it just not that great.
But the best character in this is the main protagonist in the first half and his female boss in the second half. I won't say why, but when you get there, it is well worth it!
The Illustrations
The illustrations in the first half are plentiful and amazing. The second half however is a different story...
There are very little illustrations in book 4 and the illustrations look rushed and lazy to the point where they look well below average. What happened? Did the artist get bored or something?
Final Thoughts
Overall, the story in these novels are really good in the first half, but the second half drops the ball at some bits. If you enjoyed the other two books, you'll definitely like this, just don't expect anything as good as book 2
The Story 4/5
The Characters 3.5/5
The Illustrations 2.5/5
Overall 3/5

I think what I want to get into with the "Anyone can do harm." thing that I keep beating yall over the head with is that literally anyone, anyone at all can do harm it's not "in your DNA" to be an abuser or written in the stars that you'll be a predator.
Whatever image you have of an abuser in your head, drop it and replace it with your favorite person in the world and you'll probably be closer to the truth than you realize.
It's easy to address harm when it's coming from someone you already hate.
I see it happen all the time. Someone you couldn't stand for no real reason does something heinous then all of a sudden here comes the avalanche of "I always knew they were a fucked up individual."
No, you didn't.
There is no possible way you could have known, you just already didn't fuck with them before they started doing something you could use to justify your hatred of them. I'm guilty of it too! I'm petty, mean, vindictive, and yes! I'm way quicker to believe something bad about someone I hate versus someone I love because I'm human. Still, y all gotta learn to move past that initial "Well, they were always nice to me!" gut feeling and understand that nobody truly knows anyone and anyone can be capable of anything. Even victims. Even you.

I went through some comics to find this panel and I simply miss Damian's extreme audacity.
Like this kid met Batman, his father, and said "I thought you would be taller", forced him to do a suprise a scavanger hunt at one point, hacked Justice Leage files simply out of boredom and once broke into a one of Bruce's safes to repair a device that let him teleport to the JL watchtower in space to spent time with and annoy Bruce.
I truly don't get why people say Damian and Bruce are not fun to read, I still love Bruce suffering because he's confronted with someone just as stubborn, annoying and socially incompetent as he is. And now he has to act like the responsible one.
