Guarding The Base
Craig paused the game and opened the inventory. He had just finished a mission and wanted to organize all the new gear he had gained. He changed his weapon for a more powerful one and threw out the basic gun he had with him since the very beginning of this campaign. He then changed his gear for one with better stats, giving him more HP and allowing his character to withstand more damage from certain weapons.
After he was done with that, Craig used some of the experience points he'd gathered to customize these items, choosing different colors and adding two more badges to his profile. He took a moment to look at the avatar standing proudly with his gun in the middle of the screen after all these changes. Damn, he looked badass, Craig thought. He didn't expect to become this invested in this game, but just as his friend said, he was hooked form the start.
He clicked the escape button to exit the inventory view and continue the campaign, but the game didn't react. Craig didn't panic though, his gaming rig didn't have the newest or the most powerful components, so he was used to his computer needing a bit more time to process certain commands.
Then he noticed his helmet turned dark green. Craig leaned in to look closer at what happened, expecting this to be a momentary visual glitch. But it wasn't. And this wasn't even his helmet in a different color, it was a compleletly different one. That annoyed him a little bit, the game just glitched and robbed him of one of his items! He clicked on it to try and get back to his custom helmet but the game didn't react. Of course, it was still processing the command to exit the inventory. Craig groaned loudly. He needed to invest in a better PC - this helmet had such good stats! And it looked cool!
He breathed in, then breathed out. This was just a helmet, noting major that would hinder his progress-- his tactical vest glitched and turned into a different item. What the hell? Craig looked at his compter screen with disbelief. Another part of his character's gear just changed into somethign completely different. He clicked on his avatar to try to revert that change but again, the game did not react.
And it only got worse. One by one, elements of his character's equipment changed from his custom ones into a set of dark green tactical gear he did not recognize, which was weird as he spent a lot of time in the game's item shop. He was absolutely horrified by this sight. After just a minute or two his character was unrecognizable. Gone was his badass soldier, and in his place Craig saw a heavily armed police officer. And it seemed like his avatar was now a bit more muscular?
His screen flashed suddenly and Craig was surrounded by white light. He could not see anything beyond this blank void. He tried blinking quickly but this apparent visual phenomenon did not subside. His eyes were betraying him.
He blinked once more and the bright light disappeared, replaced with a view of a different location form the game than the one where he finished his last mission. Then something dawned on him. He wasn't looking at a screen, he was inside the game! He turned his head and instead of his room he saw the game world turn around him. What was happening? It seemed his mind was playing with him.
Just as Craig began to comprehend what had just happened to him, his body started moving involountarily. He turned towards a path leading to where he was standing and he could now see that he stood next to an entrance to some sort of hidden base. Hidden base? Oh, right, he was transported to Part II of the campaign, he remembered walking alongside this road. Entering the base tiggered a cutscene that led to the player unlocking a few important side quests. Why did the game put him here and why did it seem like he was transported into the game itself?
When Craig tried to turn his head he realized he couldn't. His body was now locked in his current position, holding his gun in both hands in front of him, ready to point it at any opponent in the blink of an eye. He was stuck in some sort of loop, first leaning to the side, then straightning out and checking his gun, then leaning slightly to the side again, and so on.
Suddenly, he saw movement. He couldn't react physically in any way so he just watched as a dark dot appeared on the horizon, then got closer and turned into a soldier running towards the entrance of the base. When he saw the entire figure he realized, based on the look of the soldier's gear, that he was looking at a player. He tried to say something to him but he couldn't. And then the player got really close and Craig felt a weird sting inside his head.
The player came even closer and #GRD0933F automatically moved to block him in his way, initiating a preplanned conversation.
"Stop or I'll shoot" the NPC barked in his low, growling voice. The player stood silent for a moment, giving himself a moment to choose one of a few possible responses.
"I have orders from Agent Dark Wolf" the player said, his avatar standing idly as #GRD0933F replayed his cutscene amination in a loop, his gun pointed at the player.
"Why should I believe you?" was the NPC's response. The player didn't choose to continue the conversation. Instead he clicked on an option to show the NPC an item from an earlier part of the game. The guard switched to another animation, putting down his gun and stepping aside to his previous position.
"Enter now, soldier" #GRD0933F showed the player to move along with his gun and both caracters left coversation mode. The player walked into the base and the NPC was back in his idling loop. Leaning to the side, then straightning out and checking his gun, then leaning slightly to the side again. As a very minor character his programming was very bare bones. He did not have many speaking lines, other than the short conversation with the player and a few grunts. He had only a few animaton loops avaliable to him, the most he could do was to flex his arm if the player chose the most friendly dialog options. No congitive capacity was left for the guard, and thus no real thought crossed his mind as he stood like a statue, making sure the secret base was secure.
Another player came up to the guard NPC, triggering the cutscene.
"Stop or I'll shoot" the NPC barked in his low, growling voice. The player stood silent for a moment, giving himself a moment to choose one of a few possible responses.

[SSO Conversion] TS4 Dressage Saddle
At last! It is nigh! Includes 3 different saddles in 2 different polycounts (~13 swatches), with 1 saddlepad overlay (~14 swatches) that is universal to them all. Full LODs & maps.
If you post anything involving this saddle to tumblr & tag me in it, I'll be reblogging!
Important info, additional previews, TOU and download below the cut!
By myself & Schrodcat @ DA 🖤
Choosing a Version
First things first; in the download folder there are two different .rar files to choose from. One is labelled Highpoly and the other is labelled Maxispoly. YOU MUST CHOOSE ONE. THEY WILL OVERRIDE EACHOTHER IF YOU INSTALL BOTH HIGHPOLY AND MAXISPOLY TOGETHER.
The Highpoly version of the saddles is the original mesh resolution from Star Stable Online (which is surprisingly high-quality). However, taking into account the 3D pad and whether there are stirrups or not, it pushes the saddle very far out of EA's expected polycount range (the LOD0 on the Highpoly w/ stirrups clocks in at ~6,044 polys) which is why we have labelled this version as Highpoly. We offer it primarily for simmers who plan to be taking screenshots vs actually playing the game for extended periods of time, or for those with stronger PCs.
The Maxispoly version of the saddle is a decimated version of the mesh intended to be more in-line with Maxis polycounts, and therefore be more performance-friendly. It's about 50% less dense in polys than the Highpoly counterpart (LOD0 on the Maxis w/ stirrups clocks in at ~3,021 polys), however it is still higher-poly than the EA saddles, but again this is because it includes additional mesh details like a 3D saddlepad and/or stirrups, just bear that in mind. This version is for simmers who might have weaker PCs or intend to primarily play the game with the saddles.
Once you've chosen between Highpoly and Maxispoly for your saddle, you'll want to grab the saddlepad overlay .package. This saddlepad (it is found in blankets in CAS) acts like an accessory overlay you'd see for Human content, where it will replace the saddlepad texture on your saddle. You can use the saddlepad overlay without the saddle, but it's not exactly designed for that, as it's designed to match the UVs of the 3D saddlepad. It's unlikely it would fit the EA saddle or any other saddles as just as a flat 2D texture.
All the parts included have custom thumbnails, with the EA fit version having a special identifier.
That concludes all the required reading. Please note that the Realistic Fit of the saddles is not going to line up with EA riding animations and may stretch horribly on them, too. This is because it was rigged and weighted specifically for pose makers. It should look fine when posing. If you want a saddle to fit the EA animations, then the EA Fit version is precisely that, and is meant for gameplay exclusively. The saddlepad overlays are cross-compatible between the Realistic Fit and EA Fit saddles, & any custom saddlepads made by other creators, provided they're intended to fit the UVs, will also be cross-compatible!
Custom Saddlepad Resources (CC Creators Only)
Disclaimer: If you're not a CC Creator you can skip this section and move on to the TOU & download!
If you're interested in making your own saddlepad overlays, I highly recommend cloning the saddlepad overlay included in this download as a starting point. This saddlepad/blanket actually has a "mesh" attached to it (it's just the part of the horse GEOM where the saddlepad texture is) to allow for full normal maps, allowing for better-detail in your saddlepads. Otherwise, you can clone the EA saddlepads and just replace the diffuses with ones you make to fit this saddle, it just won't have that extra jazz.
Anyways, included the folder is a .psd file which is meant to help streamline making saddlepads to fit this mesh (and any future Dressage Saddle meshes/swatches) - There's a guide in the .psd but in general, just keep your textures within the mask/provided guide UVs in the .psd and you'll be golden!
Terms of Use
Credit/link to me AND Schrodcat AND note it is a conversion from SSO if you intend to edit, replicate or otherwise use this .package, meshes & textures as a base for your own derivative work. Additionally, at this time, we both ask you do not backport this model or its' textures to TS3.
Do not sell or post behind a paywall, even a timed one. This tumblr is anti-paywall to the extreme. This includes any content that might be created under Rule One. Do not do this. I will think you are an asshole. I have had issues with this in the past and my tolerance for it is absolutely zero. Additionally this asset is exported from a copyrighted game with the intention of it being used transformatively for derivative fanworks; it may be actually illegal to profit from it!
Do not reupload. If you let me know if there's an issue with SFS, I'll reupload it myself. Please link to this post or to the .package on SFS when sharing.
Credits: SSO for the base mesh & textures; Schrodcat with fitting the meshes & testing/screenshots, me for putting it all together into one diabolical package.

A new blog post from BioWare in which they talk about the PC experience for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The blog covers display features, graphics settings and controls. "We're PC players ourselves and have a dedicated team focused on PC."
"Journal #4 PC Features for Dragon Age: The Veilguard A look into the PC Experience in Dragon Age: The Veilguard Hello everyone, Today, we want to specifically touch on the PC experience for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The Dragon Age franchise started out on PC, and we wanted to make sure PC is a great place to play our game. Many of us at BioWare are PC players ourselves, and when testing, PCs made up 40% of our platform testing effort, with over 200,000 hours of performance and compatibility testing. Getting the PC experience just right was crucial to us and we created a dedicated team to focus on PC. We can’t wait for you to experience it for yourselves! Let’s talk about inputs first. We wanted to ensure the controls and UI are a good experience for both KBM and controllers; so we did close to 10,000 hours of user research testing to make sure of it. Dragon Age: The Veilguard will feature native support for PS5 DualSense controllers with haptics support in addition to the standard of Xbox controllers & keyboard + mouse. Additionally, you can seamlessly transition between controllers or keyboard + mouse while playing or in menus. There are many different ways to play our game; so, in order to allow you to find the most comfortable set-up, we’ve added the ability to customize class-specific keybinds that you can easily switch between. This means that your Rogue Rook can use a different set of keybinds than your Warrior Rook, if you’d like! Along with the standard resolution options, we also have full support for 21:9 Ultrawide monitors. Don’t worry; we didn’t forget the cinematics, either - just disable the option titled “Cinematic Aspect Ratio.” This will remove the enforced black bars; so you can watch the cinematics in full ultra widescreen glory. No matter what size monitor you’re rocking, you can adjust your FOV with an FOV slider in the Settings. There will be an option for uncapped framerate, as well. We’re also launching with full HDR support. Most changes to Graphics and Display Settings are reflected in real time, and you can see the impacts of those changes through the cutout in the UI. This will help you make informed decisions as you tweak your game to look exactly how you want. For a full list of Settings, check the rest of the blog below! We know a lot of you play on Steam, and we wanted to meet you where you are. We’re happy to be completely Steam Native for Dragon Age: The Veilguard! We’re already Steam Deck Verified; and with Cloud Save on Steam supported, you can seamlessly switch back and forth between your PC and your Steam Deck as much as you want, with no interruption to your progress. We also have Remote Play enabled if you’d rather play on your TV! If you’d like to utilize it, there will be a completely optional linking process to your EA Account."
"If you want to hear about a few advanced settings and options for the PC community, let’s go over that now. We support a suite of Ray Tracing features, as well as an “Ultra RT” mode for extremely high end rigs. We have several types of upscaling available: NVIDIA DLSS 3, FSR 2.2 which has been heavily modified, specifically for the game, and XeSS. We also support DLSS 3 with frame generation and NVIDIA Reflex. As we have more PC features to share, we’ll circle back on those before launch. We’re inching closer to our release date of October 31, 2024! We still have more information coming on Combat, the Companions, Exploration, and more; so keep your eyes peeled on our socials. We are eager to see your battle stations running Dragon Age: The Veilguard and the resulting screenshots. Chat soon! — The Dragon Age Community Team"
"To summarize the above, check out an overview of the PC specs and features we’re ready to unveil now: DISPLAY FEATURES - Full Support for 21:9 Ultra Wide Resolutions - Ability to Uncap Frame Rate - VSync, including fractional rate VSync - HDR Support - Optional Upscaling (DLSS 3, FSR 2.2, XeSS) - NVIDIA Reflex - DLSS 3 Frame Generation - Optional Dynamic Resolution Scaling - Cinematic Aspect Ratio (Disable this option for cinematic 21:9 ratio) GRAPHICS SETTINGS - Presets Available (Low, Medium, High, Ultra) Texture settings: - Texture Quality, Texture Filtering Light & Shadow Settings: - Lighting Quality, Contact Shadow, Ambient Occlusion, Screen Space Reflections, Volumetric Lighting, Sky Quality Ray Traced Settings*: - Ray-Traced Reflections, Ray-Traced Ambient Occlusion, Ultra Ray Tracing Geometry Settings: - Level of Detail, Strand Hair, Terrain Quality, Terrain Decoration Quality, Visual Effects Quality Camera Effects: - Depth of Filed, Vignette, Motion Blur, Post Processing Quality, Field of View Controls: - Class-specific Keybinds, Keyboard + Controller Bindings * Ray Tracing can be “ON” or turned to “Selective”. SHE'S HERE! INSTALLED AND READY FOR PHANTOM LIBERTY! Actually arrived earlier than I expected? Also just as I was finishing doing a test render of something I'm working on, running a little test with this card to see how it compares (I'm watching it progress as I write this, it's stupidly fast haha).
It also means I can now try out OptiX for rendering in blender which is cool! AND looking forward to playing BG3 again WITHOUT bottlenecks happening cause new CPU and GPU are in perfect sync!
Ngl I'm gonna miss my 2060, she had a funky little light strip in bi colours on the side. :c
That said I'm going to go from 3 factory case fans to 6 RGB supported ones so I proooobably have enough lights in there as it is. Anyway I'm proud of myself! This has been a big undertaking, both the saving and the harrowing installation of parts - this is the first time I've ever really done PC building stuff on my own.
Anyways fans delayed a few weeks but hopefully I'll be okay, I'm gonna be watching system temps closely because I am aware I am running some very souped up parts now. Definitely want them in before Australian summer. .__.
Also have a WIP I guess
I think I need to upgrade my pc case fans as well (I figured out what the stock fan specs where - which were laughably bad) because I THINK I accidentally overheated my CPU because BLENDER decided to switch back to CPU render instead of GPU render when I was fucking with some 3D model stuff in render mode. (needless to say my CPU fan is now set a lot higher than the auto mode now)
Had an order of 6 Corsair fans because I initially thought it was ok, then it wasn't, then cancelled because my mobo only has two fanheaders and uagh my brain hurts trying to understand all this shit and my adhd meds have worn offffffffff 🫠
#kery builds a pc#kerytalk#I spent all day rigging this is all I got#I am pedantic#yeah I need to fix her lipstick it needs upscaling#blender render#wip#yeah it's p obvious where I'm going with this with the lighting lmao#custom eyes have paid off tho#Venatrix

How would tech nerd gojo react if i started using his pc to do my own stuff like its mine 🤭 watching vlogs or shows using his huge ahh monitor, playing sims or stardew valley or valorant, doing my own work there 😭 would he get pissed
LMFAOOOOO OKAY NO BECAUSE…
tech nerd gojo would act like he’s mad but he’s actually just obsessed with the fact that you’re treating his setup like it’s home 😭😭 like he walks in and you’re playing stardew on his custom-built rgb water-cooled rig with your feet on his gaming chair and he’s like: “oh so you just think you can use MY 3070 to romance villagers and farm turnips???”
but he’s already taking pics of you doing it. he’s watching from the doorway with the dumbest smile.
if it’s valorant tho… good luck. he’s coaching mid-round.

Something that’s haunted me ever since I realized it: the naddpod crew didn’t start consistently using help actions until Brennan lee mulligan showed up with his custom-rigged undead gunslinger pc, and proceeded to fully min max his way through the rest of the arc, imparting new and even more devious ways to make murph bang his head against the table in frustration.
So anyways, thank you Brennan for your disservice.

Trying out Rigify custom rigs with this cute mf.
After hours correcting stuff and fixing textures I think I've earned this little IK dance.
This is the first model I've ripped from the Master Collection like ever, up until now, I've only used the old Substance PC port and the PS2 versions of the games.
The neat thing about working with the newly available CTXR files is that I get way easier access to auxiliary textures such as specular masks and other FX textures. And they're not corrupted!

Pixel Yinglets v0.95 for VRChat! Now available!
Hiya, folks! I've been hard at work the last few weeks making my own yinglet base for VRChat from scratch. Details after the jump!
You can buy it if you like, BUT bear these things in mind first!
1. My yinglets' arms are close to the limb proportions you find in the yinglets of Out-of-Placers, meaning forearms are 2x as long as biceps; it was very important to me that I not compromise on this. For rigging this uncommon setup on PC, controller position is mapped to a point halfway down the forearm instead of on the model's hand, and because of that the model's hands are further out than your own. However, there's a tradeoff: grabbed items snap to the forearm controller position instead of to the hand, and hands/fingers do not move on Quest (this is why I do not recommend Quest-only users buy it for themselves). I have not found a way around this that keeps the proportions and improved elbow IK intact, but I've personally used this solution on my main model for over a year and have grown used to it. A public try-out base will be made available in the next few weeks so you can make a more informed decision; if you're on the fence, my advice is to wait until then rather than risk disappointment.
2. I haven't tried this with full-body tracking, so I wouldn't be surprised if this broke under those circumstances, but I aim to use the revenues from this to get a set of trackers and tweak the rig in this into something that works. This is going to be my main avatar as I continue to use VRChat on a weekly basis, any improvements I make to my own base will roll into the paid version.
3. This is my first paid base, and so some things are rough around the edges. I've made it entirely from scratch with free software (aside from a little bit of time in Aseprite), point-to-point modeling in Blender and painting in Krita; I bring all this up to say, if you'd like to support me beyond purchasing the base, five-starring it afterward and sharing this around to any interested parties would mean a lot. -v-
The yinglet species was created and developed in detail by Valsalia; it's fair to say at this point I owe a lot to the concept. Thanks, everyone. <3
I think that's it for now! I want to add a bunch of stuff to it, and enable all sorts of yinglet bases in VR (among other species), but for now, I'm breaking for a week, after which I'll polish what's here beyond "shippable" status before adding new features. With that out of the way, here's the purchase link:

video game shit, probably not of interest to anyone except possibly @apisashla
thoughts a week after returning to Elite
The french philosopher you bring up in the Angelburger post, that's Baudrillard, right? I like that guy. That's a fun piece of writing. I really enjoyed it.
Elite is a nice looking game! i have a pc now that's better than the budget rig i was playing it on, 7-8 years ago, so it looks substantially better than i remember it, but also it looks pretty good for a ten year old game, period.
spent a while relearning the controls and a LOT of time customizing the hud colors, that was fun
made my way over to Boonta space and did missions for a while, which was nice, but it seemed like a very slow grind. So i started using third-party-tool-based credit grinding schemes for exploration and trading, made like 30mil credits which is a lot more than i've ever had, traded in my old diamondback for a Type 7 so now I can move stuff around, and became an ally of Boonta. easy peasy.
i have a new goal, which is to get a Krait that's kitted out for combat because the combat is fun and i think that's the coolest looking ship, which is the most important thing to me. a Krait plus all the relevant upgrades costs like, what, around 80mil credits? i could get it through grinding in a few weeks but i'd also be sick of the game by then. the tool-assisted grinding is 10x faster than anything else i know how to do but it's getting boring fast. i'm not built for an mmo grind.
(i would just put on some junk tv while i'm cruising around, but watching any kind of streaming video while i'm in game puts enough strain on my internet connection that it takes like 10x longer to jump between systems T_T)
the questions i'm thinking about now:
i need some other way to use a Type 7 to make real money, preferably something that gets into the political/economic sim elements of the game because i haven't messed with those yet and they seem interesting. smuggling? salvage? that loss trading strategy you mentioned? i don't have much startup capital left, though.
also i have basically been a law abiding citizen of the galaxy this whole time, and that's getting old. i mean. they put a bunch of horrible governments in the game, so clearly i need to stop fucking around and become an outlaw already. at least in Imperial space. but maybe this has to wait until i get another ship that's not a dump truck?
should i be prioritizing the engineering grind? i haven't touched any of those systems yet. seems important. but also complicated.
anyway. it was a fun thing to do for a week! it was a nice surprise to learn that this game is still good!

someone liked one of my TOH headcanon posts from earlier this year and it reminded me about the specific headcanons i have for exactly what types of games the hexsquad plays and how they play them.
luz is obv an RPG fantasy fan. anything with a juicy story and a character creator and complex lore she’ll love. she definitely plays series like elder scrolls and baldur’s gate and final fantasy. she also plays final fantasy 14 and has her character as the good witch luzura and she isnt good at playing it like an mmo is supposed to be played but she loves the story. when endwalker came out luz couldnt stop sobbing to the point that camila was actually worried about her. also enjoys roguelikes such as hades or binding of isaac even if she can only play for so long before getting too frustrated. she also 100% plays genshin impact and gets into arguments online with other genshin fans.
amity is a fighting game girl. she is highly competitive and practices combos with her eyes shut. she prefers the tekken series but when luz wants to play with her they play guilty gear bcus luz likes it’s art style the most. she also likes fantasy RPGs but is way more picky about which ones she plays. she likes fire emblem. she also plays ff14 with luz and is actually good at the game (she carries luz sometimes) but isnt a huge fan of MMOs. she also is the one in the friend group with the NASA ass PC rig with a custom case and the most organized wiring you’ve ever seen with the lcd screen on the liquid cooled cpu and the azura figurine inside the case. she also does custom wraps for all her consoles.
hunter likes games that are very much like, micromanagement sims. like civ5 or cities skylines or factorio (i dont know anything about it but ive been assured by my sister that hunter plays modded factorio) but he’s also a fan of like, old school FPS games like doom and half life. i can see him doing speedruns of those games. (also he 100% once got addicted to some game like fuckin. galactic pinball or something to the point where he was staying up all night and not sleeping so he could play more pinball. in order to get him to stop playing so much and actually get some sleep, gus used illusions to make hunter think he was hallucinating about pinball and scared him into not looking at a single screen or monitor for like three weeks.)
gus is a very chill gamer but he likes games that he can sink hours and hours into. instead of playing a wide variety of games he has a select few that he dedicates his time into learning every last mechanic, but there’s also some games he just plays casually. like with pokemon games he’ll put hundreds of hours into them and carefully curate his team and does like nuzlocke runs but when he plays on his and willow’s shared-custody new horizons island he’ll just walk around and catch bugs and shit and not really worry about upgrading his house and make matching fits with his favorite villager.
willow prefers cozy games, like slime rancher or stardew valley or the aforementioned shared new horizons island, but she’s also a fucking menace about them. like she goes HARD on the min-maxing and automation and shit. while gus is wandering around their island catching fish, willow’s busy rearranging her fully upgraded mansion up in the hills and harassing any villagers she doesnt like with nets and deciding what hybrids to plant in front of her bell trees (she only has bell trees for the aesthetic. gus isnt allowed to harvest them) she would also be running the most high profit slime ranch ever but the way she treats her slimes makes hunter upset whenever he sees her just fuckin throwing them off a cliff the second they arent useful to her anymore. (meanwhile hunter names each one of his slimes and always feeds them their favorite foods and cried over casey & beatrix)
vee enjoys survival/strategic horror games, like DBD, resident evil, deadspace, or even FNAF. she’s the type of person to see the goriest most violent death in a video game ever and just go “ew yucky” then carry on. masha and her are often playing DBD together while in a call and are the most annoying pair of suvivors ever. she also likes games such as original katamari and pikmin 1 and chulip. she's also the undefeated DDR champion of the friend group.
and of COURSE they all play video games together. they all have a terraria world they play on together where they all are focused on their own little projects while still working together and are slowly building up their own village/mansion/castle/fort but luz keeps rushing ahead of everyone just bcus she's so excited and she definitely somehow ends up summoning the wall of flesh accidentally
they DID have a modded minecraft world for a few months with both tech mods and magic mods but while hunter, amity, and vee all focused on their factories and computers and technology, gus, willow, and luz fucked around with all the crazy magic and accidentally found out by blowing up a factory. this is where heightened tension between the the warlocks & the scientists began. this spark eventually turned into a full fledged war that lasted two months before it ended in mutually assured destruction to the point where no one could actually load into the server without their game crashing.
bonus: camila isnt much of a gamer with one exception-- when she was in college manny introduced her to WoW and got her hooked. it was Their Game that they played together all the time. they made cosplays of their characters together. they had several dates in game. they optimized their characters to perfect compliment one another when they ran dungeons with their guild. even since manny passed camila still plays every so often and keeps in touch with their guild members. for the longest time luz has 0 idea that camila plays WoW at all and only finds out after the whole secret nerd confession.
#krav talks#the owl house#toh#luz noceda#amity blight#hunter noceda#willow park#gus porter#camila noceda#vee noceda#lumity#toh headcanons#headcanons#eda plays candy crush. also she and lilith have a 1800 day words with friends streak going

Its a weird feeling. I'm so close to having a custom pc, and all the research and bookmarking and learning about the fundamentals of this task being done on my ancient, life support necessitating laptop. My two core laptop. My laptop that can't no more hold a charge, nor a wifi connection. The laptop I spent hours at the library deciding on, that I told everyone to give me best buy gift cards for Xmas and birthdays for to buy it. I wasted so much time playing minecraft on this thing. And in her twilight moments she slowly but surely loads the pages I need to see to replace her.
Heres to another ten years wasting time instead of sleeping but this time on a rig with an entire terabyte of memory let's go
#Pire.txt#Her name will be Ambrosia and I'm finalizing parts purchases tonight#On my way to building a moderately expensive lego set#Also 'twilight moments' more like half a year but you know what I mean#Also also 12 year old me is having a blast#You know that John Mullaney quote about pizza in a limo being the height of luxury for a kid?#A whole Terabyte!!#And more!!!#I got a 1T ssd (fast but expensive memory) and originally going to do a 2T disk drive because that's good for long term storage#But the 2T drive had lots of bad reviews on a different site with older reviews so I found a 4T drive#Priced less than double so it's actually cheaper per gb and more and better reviews#5 Terabytes total. That's not a real thing they can't do that#I'm never going to need to worry about disk space ever again#Maybe the disk will shut up every once and awhile#And she's going to be running Linux so there's going to be far less bloat and system to take up space on the fast drive#Idk if I'm even ever going to need that second drive but a girl's gotta be prepared#Future proofing ig

PC broke
Can't use my gear for a while. It freezes the moment I try to do anything meaningful.
So... there's drawing ongoing, but no update for a while. I'll make up and post like crazy once I've solved this issue or bought my new rig.
Meanwhile...
[rant incoming, feel free to ignore]
Anyone knows about this nouveau graphic driver error ?
kernel: nouveau 0000:02:00.0: Xorg[1635]: nv50cal_space: -16
I'm on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon, with twin GeForce GTX 970 with SLI on an Asus z87pro and I'm stuck between the nouveau driver that freezes randomly with this error above or the pita-to-config nvidia driver that can't do properly base mosaic of my three displays on a single Xscreen or even update the xconf file.
I guess that's the deal going free from Redmond and using old stuff. I mean... Yiynova connected on custom DVI coupled with usb2? SLI? Linux's a harsh teacher, and I can't find the answer to this one.
Any insight appreciated.
Anyway, thanks for reading, and sorry for ranting like that.

Bad News Regarding VRChat Models.
I have some bad news on VRChat Models. My best buddy ReCat, who has helped rig & texture these models, lives in Russia. Russia has Blocked PayPal, Twitter, & Discord. We can no longer easily talk, much less transfer files for Models. She is the Unity Expert & Texture Queen. Without her, I can't finish these models. With Russia blocking everything, she can no longer accept Payments for custom models, can no longer advertise Model Adopts, and can no longer send files. I have models sitting on my PC, but without her here, I just don't have the energy to work on them. As of now, future models can't be completed. I am sorry. Thank you for all the love and support that you gave to us while we could still work on these models.
