Replacing physical buttons and controls with touchscreens also means removing accessibility features. Physical buttons can be textured or have Braille and can be located by touch and don't need to be pressed with a bare finger. Touchscreens usually require precise taps and hand-eye coordination for the same task.

Many point-of-sale machines now are essentially just a smartphone with a card reader attached and the interface. The control layout can change at a moment's notice and there are no physical boundaries between buttons. With a keypad-style machine, the buttons are always in the same place and can be located by touch, especially since the middle button has a raised ridge on it.

Buttons can also be located by touch without activating them, which enables a "locate then press" style of interaction which is not possible on touchscreens, where even light touches will register as presses and the buttons must be located visually rather than by touch.

When elevator or door controls are replaced by touch screens, will existing accessibility features be preserved, or will some people no longer be able to use those controls?

Tablet woven rainbow shoelaces. Because why not?

Here's the pattern, made it myself, because just lines are boring. Made it size 8 pearl yarn and deliberately tight, but it still came out slightly too wide. Also when I looked up how long laces for hightops are, and bing told me it's 54 inches, that might be a lie. Or the topmost pair of holes is not suppost to be laced? Anyway, don't repeat my mistake. a lot of the Choices that wacom has made the past couple of years have been strange to me but the new intuos pro honestly takes the cake. like WHOSE idea was it to take the tried and true express keys on the side and put them at the center top. in what way is your hand covering a third of the tablet or having to bend your arm around it more ergonomic than the side buttons. i know the basic intuos has the express keys at the top as well but at least theyre in the corners, and its a "cheap" beginner tablet anyway. but a pro level, 400€ tablet with buttons that are mostly useless is insane.... also most people use a keyboard anyway and wont care but Why change it to be worse. like its not innovating its not reinventing or whatever the reason they had the older design since like 2010 its because its good!!!! dont change it

Things happened when I was trying to get a new tablet bc my old one had shitty RAM so until I can actually get a new one, I have to break out my old school tablet I use for work which is a completely different feel in terms of stylus/screen and I couldn't find any screen protectors that give a good paper feel. I just hope I can get the refund ASAP and get a better replacement.
