I'm going back and editing/sneaking the new 'The Grand Galloping 20s' title into comics for that extra newspaper strip feel and it's making me unreasonably happy. I love simple graphic design elements. ❤️

Happy Earth Day!
Have you ever seen a sea otter? Why are they so stupid cute?
This design is from last year's charity campaign with @thestitcherscollective. I later updated it to have more fun options! If you slide through the images, you can see the sea otter holding a starfish, a Pride heart, a book, a baby otter, and a skull (that is not from the baby otter).
Find this design in my shop! It's quick and fun to stitch on your favorite watery colored fabric.

For those unaware, this AI stuff is a side thing...
My main blog is bugbeast - where I post (non-AI) art, the photos this blog's content is based on, and games, too.
In fact, I have a card game out right now; it's called Jewel Thief and you can check out this post to learn more about it. Though, I'll have to spoil that the game can be played for free with a deck of cards and the rules downloable from the shop page
And, just for kicks, here's a waifu, husbando, and dragon generated using the game's titular character as a base
Think that covers most of my bases...

for a long time, Liz is only tangentially aware of Link. she sort of knows non-monster people exist, mostly because of periodic Zora squads that skirt the northeastern edge of the Lanayru Wetlands. obviously having large fish people try to stab her with very pretty spears isn't the best experience she's ever had, so she tends to stay away from the roads. nearly gave her a heart attack to see a brave Hylian merchant even from a distance, thinking they were human. aside from that, the only socialization she's had in Hyrule has been her fellow Lizalfos, and they... don't exactly seem to be people
then one day, half the monsters in the Wetlands die off, surrounded by traces of violence but no evidence of Zora patrols. not long after, the constant rain to the northeast clears up, and a giant elephant statue appears atop one of the glittering blue mountains to fix its gaze on the distant castle. sometimes a humanoid figure floats over the land, tiny in the sky, buoyed by what seems to be just a scrap of cloth. these are all extremely confusing events for Liz, who can't even ask anybody for context, so she simply buries herself in her experimentation and gardening efforts
if an unusually short Lizalfos occasionally watches over her shoulder while she works, well. the attention makes her nervous. surely if she doesn't look at him directly, he'll leave her alone and she won't be singled out as not fitting in with the rest of the monster hordes
meanwhile, Link has picked up a fascinating new multistage side quest: The Lizalfos Who Learns

Princess Zara Backstory
So a while back someone asked if I had a backstory for Princess Zara from the videogame Disney Princess: Enchanted Journey
I didn't at the time but thinking it over since I think I've found a good fit within my DisneyVerse
I knew I wanted to do a take on Zelena from OUAT since I already had her parents and sister, but since Theodora from Oz the Great and Powerful is the DisneyVerse version of the Wicked Witch of the West she couldn't be that, but I think Zara fits nicely. Greek color scheme, Z name, motivated by jealousy, ect.
So in my DisneyVerse Zara is the second child of Corinne and Henri, unexpected and unplanned as they meant to have no further children who could be in danger from a vengeful Rumplestiltskin, per the terms of their last bargain
Desperate to keep her safe, they end up meeting the Enchantress through her friendship with Hélène, and she agrees to take the child under her care to hide her from Rumplestiltskin, knowing it might be her only chance
Zara is brought up ignorant of her past under the Enchantress's rather cold care--she never was very good with children-- and is a lonely, often angry, little girl, who dreams of another life, one where she feels important and wanted, often lashing out against her distant guardian in order to gain her attention
When she exhibits a talent for magic, she hopes this will bring the Enchantress to pay more attention to her, or at least bring her esteem in the eyes of others
But though the Enchantress trains her somewhat, she is still critical of how Zara's temper gets away from her ('refusing to learn those Princess Virtues')
Eventually, fed up with her life, Zara uses her magic to run away from the Enchantress's magically hidden home--which unfortunately leads her right into the clutches of Rumplestiltskin
The imp tells her a twisted version of her origin, making her believe her mother abandoned her in favor of her sister Princess Regine
Heartbroken and bitter over what she sees as her stolen life, Zara begins to learn dark magic from the imp, and soon begins her vendetta of ensuring that if she can't be a princess, no one can…
