soooooo I really really really enjoyed how much effort they put into making them like sad about their circumstances, the reality of it all, being a mutant and wanting to be accepted by humans,

Splinter not being a human to begin with but just a rat and quite frankly traumatized by humans all his life so very distrustful and doesn’t want his sons going through that or getting killed, and what tops the cake is that he actually tried to go out on his own with the tots, only to be instantly turned on, which just solidified the fear! even though he wasn’t just a rat anymore he was still cast out, still shunned!

but the turtles were too young to really remember that so they had endless hope, at least Mikey, Donnie, and Raph, kinda sorta Leo especially when April came onto the scene 🤭

WHICH SPEAKING OF THAT! Idk how I feel, super cute, Leo liking April instantly reminded me so much of 2k12 Donnie maybe a less intense version, all the scenes where romance was implied wasn’t so heavy (maybe slightly cringe) but still had me smiling so I guess I’m for it????? Still need to think on it more, overall my thoughts are : cute ✨ Leo was just being so cute 💀

THE BROTHERS WERE DRAGGING HIM OUT THO, like practically the whole first half of the movie, which is typical for tmnt, but gah damn 😂 it was so apparent when just Donnie, Mikey, and Raph would group up/link up, because Leo would constantly “rat” them out to the rat! Super different vibes from rise!leo for sure, that was kinda switched where Mikey was the one who couldn’t really lie… and it wasn’t about lying per say, just Leo being a pleaser? or a good kid? or wanting to do the right thing??? maybe that’s all the same thing as not wanting to lie 😂

anyhow, my favorite part had to be the very first fight scene the bros go into! Leo springing into action, being the one to propel his brothers into danger all because he wanted to help April (again so cute) get her scooter back! Technically their fault too! Anyhow they were getting whooped but also holding their own simultaneously, and just thinking quickly on their feet and helping each other out, it was all pretty intense and very stressful like where Mikey almost got run over twice 😨 I was like oml someone do SOMETHING!!!!! Thankfully we got big bro Raph, always coming in clutch! But yeah I just really enjoyed the first fight and them coming out on top! And right after being accepted by their first human aka April O’Neil!!!!!!!!! :D

There’s so much more to say, I could quite literally write down everything that happened in words but not gonna go there 💀💀 anyone wanna just gush about the movie?!? What was your favorite part??! What do you guys think about Leo x April???

In general, Kirsty knows how to turn the usual gameplay into an exciting journey and I definitely recommend you to join. Also, I am very impressed with her playing style. He has a very formal way of texting: well structured, complete with commas, semi-colomns, dashes, and quotation marks. It's not that he doesn't feel close with you to speak more casually, it's just that it's his natural way of speaking/texting (he already thought he was using casual texting).

Apologizes a lot if you comment on his manner of texting and might try to make it a bit more 'casual,' though it felt too off when he tried it, so you asked him to just text what he's comfortable with.

Sometimes asks you the slang terms used in the newer generation. "Dear, what does sjfskflak stand for? You mentioned that yesterday and I could not find the definition for it." Or even "Dear, what is U.W.U.? Is that some organization from Sumeru? It sounds quite familiar."

He will react to the Reels/TikToks you send him, though he says he will get back to it later on his free time (he always remembers).

There are times when he completely gets drowned in his worked and hasn't said goodnight to you or view your texts the whole night (He apologizes the next day.) Though his instinct is to always greet you good morning once he sees the sun peeking through his window, it's a reminder for him, and he never missed a day to say "Good morning, my dearest. Will literally send his entire IG/Tiktok feed of memes or cool stuff to you.

Typos and wrong spellings all the time.

Itto will update you constantly, he'll send practically everything that reminds him of you "this beetle has ur vibe idk y" or anything mildly interesting that he's doing because you're also his bff got slushies but soem brat ran into me snd spillde it"

Expect constant facetiming for him to show you random stuff, tell a story that just happened, if he's bored, when he's walking through a dark alley and is secretly scared, or if he feels lonely while taking a dump for too long. Sometimes, he does this during a time when you're outside or if you're out with another guy just to make sure you're reminded that only he knows how to make you blush. Imagining your reactions also amuses him (he knows exactly what to say to make you flusterred and embarassed)

A/N: I’ve been feeling for a songfic for some time, and I finally got the inspiration I needed to do it.

It is a Danish song from a Danish Christmas calendar, but I’ve always loved the song, and it gives me more lovey vibes instead of Christmas, lol. English translations are provided🧡

There was almost something magical about having a boyfriend like Michelangelo. Well, other than the fact that he was a mutant turtle, but his personality. He was always so happy, always finding something exciting to do. Rarely you and him had any plans on date nights. You would just meet each other, either outside of your apartment building, or by the man cover closest to his sewer home. And from there the plans and ideas for the evening would be flowing, often leading to you and him running up and down the streets of New York City, before finding a secret place where you would be alone.

In the cold night air you would hold each other close, either somewhere in the park, at the top of some random building or down by the water, and talk about whatever was on your mind, with small kisses peppered in between every single topic. You would stay with each other for as long as possible, before the two would have to make the journey home. Though Mikey’s father had become more accepting of humans, he still didn’t like his sons to stay out for too long, which meant that Mikey did have a pretty strict curfew to follow. And though the two of you dreaded whenever you would have to call the end of the date, it did not stop from talking about the next.

During especially cold months, Mikey did like to put a cold hand under your shirt, feeling the warm skin of your stomach. This would make you yelp and pull away with a smile, your laughter loud, sounding beautiful in Mikey’s ears. But every time you would wrap your arms around him, pulling him closer so that you could keep each other warm for the night.

There was one evening where you and Mikey had been too caught up in each other’s company to notice the time. It was during December, where the snow was covering Central Park, and the two of you had decided on a last minute snow fight. In your thick jackets and beanies covering your heads, the two of you had been running around, threatening the loser with kisses and banter.

In the middle of your loud laughter, Mikey felt his phone vibrate in the pocket of his orange winter jacket. After throwing his snowball he pulled his phone out, just to make sure it wasn’t anything important. But when he saw the name of his father at the top of the message, along with the time of night, he was horrified.

“Dad’s freaking out!”, Mikey told you, looking at his phone. “I was supposed to be home half an hour ago!”

“Oh no!”, you exclaimed, knowing very well how Splinter could get when he was worried. “You better hurry home!”

“But I usually walk you home-”, Mikey was about to protest, but you cut him off.

“Not tonight. You have to get home”.

Mikey knew that you were right, and that it was not worth starting up a discussion about it. Instead he put his phone back into his pocket and pulled you in for a quick kiss.

“Text me when you get home”, he said, still not walking away.

“I will”, you smiled. “Now, go! Before your dad sends the whole sewer out after you”.

And with a quick second kiss, your boyfriend was running, his feet quickly carrying him to the nearest manhole.

Not all of you and Mikey’s dates have been outdoors. As time processed, you and Mikey started to expand your dates from sudden ideas on strolls, to actually make plans. One of those plans being going to the cinema together. That had been a great experience for the both of you, so you had decided to do it more and more often. Watching anything from comedy, action to horror. Anything that gave you and Mikey the excuse to hold hands while taking in your favorite form of entertainment.

But constant cinema going can become expensive, which led you to the next best thing - watching movies at home. Normally you would do that at Mikey’s place, where the two of you would take up the whole couch in the middle of the lair, and watch movies from him and his brothers’ large collection.

You would usually do it so late that Mikey’s mutant family would have gotten to bed, leaving you and your boyfriend with the living area to yourselves. However, before going to bed, Splinter would usually take the time to make both of you tea, before leaving the two of you alone for the night. So with your legs tangled together, and two cups of hot tea, you and Mikey would have all the whole night to yourselves.

But there had been times where you would have to watch movies at your place. Either because one of Mikey’s brothers or extended family members had to use the television that night, or because the two of you just needed a small break from them. Your parents had nothing against it, letting Mikey into either home with open arms. Though they did not make you tea, it wasn’t uncommon for them to leave you some sort of snacks for the movie.

First time you had Mikey over for movies, neither you nor him had thought about asking your parents for permission to let him spend the night. Not that your parents would have anything against it, but Splinter did not like sudden last minute changes like that, fearing the worst. Still a bad habit from the days he and the turtles used to hide away from the surface.

So when it began getting late, and you fell asleep against Mikey with the movie still running, he didn’t have it in him to wake you up before he left. He waited until the last minute, not wanting to leave you, before finally getting up. He turned off the television and made sure you were tugged in, before sending you a message you could read when you finally woke up. He then pressed a kiss to your forehead, before making his way home.

When you then woke up many hours later, you were confused until you found Mikey text, reading it with a bright smile;

“Good morning, Sleeping Beauty!💕🌹 Sorry I just left without saying anything. I just couldn’t bring myself to wake you up. Anyway, I love you, and I hope you’ve been sleeping well😍💕 Call me when you’re up😘”

And with a smile still plastered across your face, you called him while getting up from the couch.

When you for some reason couldn’t spend time together, you would text each other all the time with sweet words and hearts. Even during school, you would do whatever you could to eat lunch together, spend time alone during breaks, or send each other sweet glances in the library, even texting each other in class when you hoped that the teacher wasn’t looking.

Though you and Mikey may be young, you couldn’t help but dream of the future together. A future where you could spend all your time together, without worrying about curfew or annoying things alike. A time where you could hold each other close the whole night, without having to miss each other at all.

But after a year, your luck would finally turn. Splinter, seeming to understand how you and Mikey wished to spend more time together, finally relented. His sons were teenagers, teenagers accepted by the human world above. And as teenagers they wanted to be with their friends or other loved ones, for longer than a clock would allow them to. And so Splinter finally decided to get rid of the curfew during weekends, letting his sons stay out for pretty much as long as they wanted to, on the condition that they texted him, letting him know wherever they went. Unless it was a school night! Then they had to be home at the set time!

Even this was seen as an absolute win for the boys, and each of them decided to celebrate it in their own ways, going out with their own friends that evening. Mikey decided to celebrate it with you, finally spending a full night at your place. From Friday to Saturday he spends the night, with the two of you sleeping soundly in each other’s arms. And never would there come another night, where you couldn’t tell that you loved each other.

PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GIVE THEM PIGGY BACK RIDES THEY LOVE IT. Just carry them around in any position and their little heart is melting. The best is when they fall asleep on the floor or at a desk while doing their work and you pick them up and carry them to bed. OH REALLY??? GET OVER HERE AND SAY IT AGAIN, I DARE YOU.” They will not hesitate to verbally AND physically tear someone apart in your honor.

If you are feeling sad and insecure, Pidge will stop everything they are doing, which always surprises you, and take you back to their room for cuddles. They like to switch roles sometimes and pull you to lay on top of them. You worry that you’ll hurt them or make them uncomfortable but they refuse to let you move off of them. “No, please. You’re like a weighted blanket, I love this.” And they do. They love this more than anything.

One of the best parts about being plus size and dating Pidge is that they have no shame, about the way they look, the way they eat, the way they dress, the way they sit. So you feel so secure when you eat in front of them or when you wear something that maybe isn’t the most flattering on your body. • Mikey doesn't shut up on how he ships you, obviously

• And both of you have gone through phases of being extremely annoyed, pleasantly rolling with it, mind - losing pissed, brotherly proud and mildly amused, it all depends on the occasion

• But you both also appreciate the fact that from the beginning, he was most open - hearted and encouraging of the two of you, when Leo and Donnie were slightly more reserved, to say the least

• Sometimes he needs to be violently slapped on the shell when babbling about things you definitely prefer to keep between you and sometimes when he just goes on about how he loves you guys being you guys and how you're basically his elder sister and how nice it is to have one you just smile at each other and let him talk when watching from the distance

• He will obviously keep trying to find out details on the quality time you spend alone and he'll walk on you when Raph isn't around to try to dig some friendly, brotherly dirt on him which you provide to a reasonable degree. And behind his back you signal Raph to watch and listen for your mutual amusement

• He jokes about "sharing a girlfriend", but he'd never mean it for real, he really is happy for his elder bro and respects you as a couple

• He likes patrolling the lair at night to check if you haven't fallen asleep somewhere in more public space, and is always guessing in what position he'll see the two of you. And sometimes he takes photos in secret with no malicious intent, just because he wants and feels like it's his job to document the good moments between Raph & you to have in memory store just in case since you can't do that yourself much

• And sometimes he'll gently take your hands when you sleep and place them on each other cause it's really adorable to him

• He also drops by blankets and pillows if you happen to not have any

• He's had times when he was a bit (way) too obnoxious and ran to Leo and Donnie to report on what you & Raph are doing when he saw the two of you, but he's been more or less forcefully educated to not do that and he's better now

• He also needed to exclude you from his habit of cute nicknaming girls, which he adapted to faster, thankfully

• When you're all eating dinner together, he will also remember and remind Splinter, Leo and Donnie to leave sits next to each other for you

• If situation demands, he'll cover for you in front of Leo, if you and Raph are still not returning to the lair and the dawn is almost breaking up above the ground. If you're planning on doing something more risky, surprisingly enough, he's your most trusted man to let know you'll be out tonight & for what

• He's the one to pester Raph to make whatever great romantic gesture towards you he came up with this time. Giant heart - shaped lollipops for Valentines, opera roof date, designer brand gifts for your birthday which strains Raph's patience, he's never out of ideas

• But when Raph doesn't know what to get for you for birthday or something else and asks his bros, he has the best really on - point ideas

• If there is a tense situation in the lair and you're not handling it well, he'll often notice it even before Raph does (cause he is most often involved, to be honest), and immediately gives him a nudge to go be with you

• Mikey's gotten into the habit of asking you about all the stuff he's always been dying to know more about, particularly all the "girl stuff", starting with dumb things like best ways of flirting up to serious stuff like periods and so on

• At times, you and Raph vibe into acting almost like a literal parental guidance to him which is a constant source of jokes and laughs in the lair

why i like them: i have been drawn to dragon trainers ever since playing hgss so of course i love this man. also absolutely love his cocky attitude, i think he has such an alluring personality. on a real note he’s so fine he gets me blushing lol oh and his lil tooth that sticks out :33

why i don’t: epitome of every gimmick i hate in battles LOL absolutely hate double battles and hate weather affects even more.

headcanon: talked about this briefly in my tags, but a very special hc to me is that all dragon trainers come from a singular clan before splitting apart where they now live in the different regions. lance and raihan are cousins and are considered the most esteemed and powerful trainers in their clan and have had a friendly rivalry since being kids. despite bickering due their completely different attitudes and outlooks on life and what it means to be a dragon trainer, they also bring out positives in eachother. lance made raihan appreciate the culture of their clan more (which in turn helped him appreciate his vault job even more) and raihan taught lance how to loosen up and not feel so pressured by the very strict johto branch of dragon trainers. oh and he’s also great with kids and kids love him for how goofy he can be lol

wish: definitely wish we saw more of the gentle side of him that’s hinted to be there both via the game and anime.

why i like them: omg. my all time favourite gym leader and in my top 3 galar characters. love that they fed into the concept of alt people being teddy bears despite outwards appearances, reminds me of alot of people i knew growing up in the scene myself. loveee how protective he is of marnie and in general how much he loves his hometown and people around him. just an absolute sweetie 😭

why i dont: actually cant think of one reason or element i dont like, perfect character imo!!! is it basic to say the scene of him singing with no background vocals? why do him like that😭😭😭

headcanon: while always on the more reserved side, i love the idea of younger gym challengers piers being more boisterous (in his own way) and loved the party and gig scene in early spikemuth* - much to the suprise of those who only know him in his adult years. however, when the responsibility of raising marnie came into the picture, he relaxed quite a lot and now his old man tendencies tend to come out even with his fully adult friends and in his relationship. he’s the first people come to when they need advice cause despite being overly cautious and a worry-wart when it comes to marnie, he is quite grounded which comforts a lot of people. what a sweetie!
