Cleaning up at my AO3 account & decided I’m gonna do sporadic fic recs from things in my AO3 History, while I enjoy rereading stuff. Peter was in over his head. Way over. He’d only had these powers for a few months, had barely started helping out around his neighborhood, and he had no idea what he was doing, but he knew he couldn’t just let these douchebags take that girl. So he had followed the gross panel van halfway across the city, far outside of the neighborhood he knew and loved, and finally they pulled to a stop in an alleyway. 

Swinging between the buildings, he landed on the roof of the van with a heavy thud, shooting out a bit of webbing at a man’s face as he piled out of the van. “Ha!” he said with a grin as the man stumbled back, only to feel something around his ankle. Looking down he saw a hand wrapped around his leg, and his eyes went wide. “Oh cr-” he started, but his words were cut off as it was yanked out from beneath him and his head quickly met with the roof of the van, causing his ears to ring before he was ripped off the vehicle and slammed into the ground.

Okay, that was bad, but he wasn’t about to slow down. He had a girl to save! Pressing his hands to the ground, he quickly jumped to his feet, and swung his fist at the man. Sadly, fist fighting was not his strong point, and he soon found himself struggling to stay on his feet as one of the man pulled out a tire iron and clipped his shoulder with it.

Maybe this was a bad idea.

Elektra’s conversations had been innocuous most of the night, excluding perhaps her interrogation of Spider-Man. Poor boy. Whether it was because she truly didn’t have some questionable intentions for the night or whether she simply acknowledged his presence and knew to proceed with caution, he couldn’t say. Regardless, he was getting little and less from her.  

Which brought him to his original purpose of attending. A read of the Avengers. This was not the first fundraiser of its kind. Yet, it was the first he was able to attend. Perhaps it would help assuage that ever simmering irritation to know that at least they were genuine in their regard for fixing the property damage they caused. If that was just a photo op, a publicity stunt, then it would only confirm the things he already believed about most of the big guys.

Sidling up beside Bruce Banner, it had to be with the combination of a steady, even heartbeat and a tense, tightly wound frame, Matt tilted his head curiously. A cautious one, or paranoid, or both. “And what do you think I’m looking for?” The corner of his mouth tilted into a crooked smile, pushing for charisma over conflict, “Perhaps a good piece of art?”

          Her heart was hammering inside her chest, her veins coursing with adrenaline. It took a moment to truly focus in on Faith but when she did she couldn’t help the small smile that tugged onto her lips. “I always knew you were a team player,” she playfully jested, her voice a bit breathy from being winded. She pushed herself to her feet and nodded. “Come on. You lead the way, I’m right behind you.” It was easier that way. She was in less than perfect shape at the moment and she didn’t want to slow Faith down even though she knew Faith would stick to her word. It was no secret that some among them had questioned Fury’s decision to have Banner recruit her in the first place. Some had never heard of her but those that had hadn’t heard the most flattering of stories. She’d never judged though, the same had been thought of her when she’d first joined up. Faith was a fighter and a survivor but above those things she was loyal. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out (maybe just a nuclear physicist).

The man -- if you could call him that, is a vampire -- his fangs and golden eyes make no secret of it. He whispers some vile threat as he tears at the woman's blouse collar. 

But fear not, True Believers, for creeping close to the wall at the other end of the alleyway, concealed in shadow, is the grim hero of our tale. As little as he cares for the petty lives of trifling humans, Prince Loki of Asgard has a special hatred for monsters and means to make an ashcan of this foul beast. 8. What’s the biggest “challenge” for you as a writer?

Figuring out what happens next. I'm not great at coming up with outlines. I usually get stuck somewhere near the beginning or halfway through. Even when I know how I want something to end, it's usually more vague like "they get together".

This means that I give up on outlining and just start writing the fic and get stuck all over again.

15. “OCs” or “Reader” inserts?

I haven't done either, but I've been really tempted to give "Reader" inserts a try! I started reading them in my current fandom and they're fun and can be just as plotty and emotional as anything else.

18. What fandoms do you write for?

My main ones: Stranger Things, Supernatural, Teen Wolf.

I've written some Glee stuff, though I only ever posted snippets/drabbles on tumblr.

Used to write for CWRPS, which I know a lot of ppl will judge me for but I mean it's right there on my ao3, so 🤷

Oh, also pretty sure I was the first person to post anything for Future Man on ao3 lol.

At the moment I'm pretty much officially Stranger Things centric, though.
