My reference for energon eaters based on their appearance in Rescuebots. These are really fascinating to me as cybertronian predators, how they hunt for their prey, feed etc. In one of eps. an Eater even manipulates a demaged ship computer to lure in the bots. aaaaaaaa I just love those space leeches so much!
Then recently there was the Dweller in EarthSpark, another creature that hunts cybetronians for their energon. I was so happy to see more!

Cybertronians vs kudzu
Who would win. Aliens or very invasive plants?
Cybertronians will win the battle, but they'll lose the war.
It's one thing to comprehend that plants grow fast, it's another thing to witness it.
If Cybertron ever establishes a sister city or university on Earth, then many Cybertronians will flock over to study applied agricultural sciences because someone at some point had managed to successfully crossbreed a potato with a Cybertronian one that feeds on their planet's radiation.
Someone needs to save Cybertron's soul if a well-meaning idiot takes something like kudzu or mint and manages to get viable crossbreeds on the metal planet.

Yesterday, I was thinking about my Warlord Soundwave theory, and I had a thought:
Kaonian Warhorses
I like to imagine they developed physical and temperamental characteristics that made them hardier than horses in other parts of Cybertron. Perhaps they seemed more “predatory” in nature because surviving in a place like Dark Ages Kaon was no walk in the park.

Hi everybody, remember the Cybertronian Fauna series? There’s a new animal now. Robot trilobites, but not extinct and you can keep them as pets.
Enjoy!

More I think about it, the more I think Megatron liking organic life would be a fun change of pace
*Megatron looking at a whale breaching*
Megatron: “ Such majestic power...have the scientists look into the feasability of grafting missile launchers to them,”
What? He’d still be evil. He’d love organic life for all the wrong reasons, and it would not extend to humans who he would consider too soft.
Admittedly this would work best for a continuity where Cybertron does not have as many metal munching predators (at least that aren’t intentionally manufactured) and is instead a slower paced ecosystem with mostly energy vampires similar to some robotic simulations of ecosystems where predators drained the energy of solar-pannelled robots but left them unharmed so they could feed again later. But such metal munchers could lurk in hibernation deep beneath cybertron and lost worlds.

Cybertron has fauna, that’s established in pretty much every continuity.
How does cybertronian fauna actually come into being though? Does it also come out of the allspark/hotspots?
Side note, did Cybertronian fauna also do the “everything eventually becomes crabs” thing that Earth fauna did?
Like imagine being a newly forged spark... and the guy next to you, is just a crab. Not even a sentient robot crab. Just a crab.

Yall got animals, right? Whats the biggest animal you could beat in a fight? I
Tumblr media
If I fight them from a distance, or preferably in the air, I can take out a large Insecticon with my missiles. I could shoot down one of the smaller Predacons, but sadly that wouldn't kill it. Up close.... I don't know, probably one of the smaller non-sapient Insecticons. In real life, you seldom get to fight just one Insecticon though, so I avoid them at all costs. All of our other animals are quite a bit smaller and it wouldn't even count as a fight.

Praxian metro raptor
The Praxian metro raptor is a mechanimal domesticated for law enforcement. They are social and intelligent but difficult to keep, demanding a lot of space, enrichment, and fuel.
Metro raptors are some of the few beasts that have vehicle alt modes, able to transform into an odd sort of motorcycle. Their altmodes make it easier for them to keep up with their handlers while on the road, and chase down fleeing suspects. Once they are tasked in tackling a suspect, metro raptors will pin mechs down and try to restrain them with their weight, arms and teeth.
In relation to their long extinct ancestors, metro raptors have soft mouths and blunt teeth that are better suited for gripping. While it their bite can still hurt and require medical repairs, it’s rare for them to be lethal.
Prowl had no intentions on working with Praxian metro raptors during his career as a detective, however when Red and Blue (pictured above) were specifically programmed/ trained for investigative work and imprinted to his spark signature, he was stuck with the two. Red and Blue were adept at sniffing out chemicals, spark signatures, spilled energon and so on, and were able to send the information directly to Prowl in real time.
When not working, both of Prowl’s raptors tended to be nuisances, laying in inconvenient places and sticking their noses in things they shouldn’t be touching. Green at least kept them a bit more in line as she made it very clear to them that she was in charge.

a heem heem worldbuilding concepts... ft the Dires (dire wolves) beastformers <:]
if people are interested i may show more lore and concepts
Dires (known as dire wolves) are one of the bigger units of canis beastformers. Weighing 1.5x more than their cousins the Greys (known as grey wolves for their colourations), these beastformers rely on their weight in battle, bulldozing anything their size or bigger. Dires have been documented to ally with Grey packs, offering protection and strength in return for the Greys' superior tracking and running speed during energon retrievals. Dire strength generally focused on their upper body, with large shoulders and heavyset paws, useful in wrestling down bigger opponents. While a little weak in the jaw, their bites were more used to hook and hold onto opponents to keep a hold on it when it fought back.
Typical Dire colouration were desaturated colours, although outliers have been documented to have more vibrant colours as markings.
CANIMUS was one of the biggest recorded packs, averaging 100 members at its peak. This pack was a mix of Dires and Greys, numbers split unevenly. Their territory spaned most of the Praxus outlands. Canimus fell to near extinction during the war; with some members having disappeared from all trace, and only one survivor currently documented. At the time of extinction, Tar was the leader of the pack.

Cityspeaker sketches - finally settled on a name for her, Tympani! (thanks for the encouragement @ezra-iolite)
She's a short and friendly beetleformer with a high softspoken voice. She's always had a heart for alchemy and gardening, but upholding her role as cityspeaker and tending to her Titan get in the way.

More thoughts about I will not speak of your sins AU 'cause why not?
Pharma is into forms of painplay. He really enjoys sinking his teeth into a partner: a neck, a shoulder, a form of kibble, a thigh, it doesn't matter as long as he can bruise protoform and scrape to the bare metal.
It surprises the hell out of a lot of mechs since Pharma doesn't have a preference for being a driver or a rider, nor does he care for damage, only that his occupied mouth leaves tall-telling marks.
He leaves bleeding scrapes on Revelation's neck and bite marks on their wingspan. And enjoys it when they do the same to him.
Pharma won't admit it, but he does get a little thrill down his spinal strut when Revelation uses their strength to pin him to place.
Of course, he fixes all the damage. The dents popped and buffed, the grooves filled and sanded, and the paint is retouched because medics have an image to maintain.
To say things are awkward in the medbay is the understatement of the millennia. Not only there’s heavy tension between Ratchet and Pharma (understandable) but with Ratchet and Revelation as well.
Ratchet doesn’t trust Pharma in the medbay, but he definitely doesn’t trust the mech anywhere else and away from his purview. Because he’s the CMO, he can assign shifts and duties and has Pharma on more of the grunt work and mixing more needed compounds and solutions. Time-consuming tasks where he can keep watch and immediately know if anything goes missing or recorded wrong. He knows his own medbay down to the last gram and thinnest roll.
Revelation doesn't want to switch providers. They are quite content with Pharma's care and will definitely wait for the flyer, waving off the other medics, and will directly hail his comms if the spark palpations get too much or other complications arise.
The first time that happened when Revelation finally commed after waiting through two shifts, Pharma and Ratchet had a Scene in the office.
Tyrest may have controlled all the information Revelation had access, but he ensured that his Conjunx did have a solid education, including in legalities. It would have been a shame if his darling couldn’t follow along with him.
Revelation will shove every bit of case and code to remain with Pharma, who’s been with them through everything. They even moved into Pharma’s room with little care to anyone else’s thoughts on the matter.
Pharma and Revelation will have their own issues to sort out, especially when Rev starts to get an inkling just how much Tyrest stole away from them…
Menace/Mercy is having the time of its life on the ship. Outside the medbay, there's a growing belief that there's a ghost haunting the Lost Light.
Fast and nimble on their little paws, Menace ensures that it isn’t seen by others outside of the med bay and Pharma’s habsuite.
The medics think that the rest of the crew is freaking out over nothing, and it’s just the thing of the week. The crew is being extra paranoid on where they sit since Mercy isn’t afraid to sink claws on that expose seam of thigh when mechs aren’t paying attention.
Menace is a Tarnian Mine minx. That particular breed are well-known for their thick armor and thicker floof. That dense silicon fur helps convert the thermal energy of their native mineshaft environment and protects them from extreme temperature damage. More energy means more fluffiness.
Revelation and Remedy become a fixed sight in the medbay. Where Revelation goes, Remedy is in their arms, and with the second carriage taking a faster toll on them, especially when it’s found that they have two sparklets in their belly, they need the extra help.
Pharma is already on top of it, synthesizing more supplemental infusions. He and Ratchet constantly argue over the ratios. Ratchet doesn’t have the full history, but he knows something isn’t right. He monitors passively because he doesn’t want Revelation to crash from stressed, overwhelmed systems or get compound toxicity.
Pharma’s also on top of Revelation. Medics have a duty to perform for health safety, including ‘facing. They have particular buffers and programs that not only allow them to exude a calm, neutral EM field that won’t clash with others, they hook into other frames without triggering certain reproductive-related quirks and coding. They can sense but won’t be overwhelmed.
Medics typically stay in the med bay or hospitals, so no surprise there’s already rooms or at least cots for them, so-
Cue Rev sleeping in a nearby cot as he works. Just like old times.
Eventually, the medbay absorbs Revelation into their crew since they start handling their servo maintenance and recalibration. They did it for Pharma in the Atrium, so they start doing it for the other medics due to the high volume of work they oversee.
