Cyberverse Grimlock x Reader

• “Ah, there you are, my little darling.” Head lifting at the booming, cheerful voice, you can’t help but smile because he’s smiling. The big bot kneeling to offer you his hands and there’s no hesitation when you climb into his palm and hold into his servos as he lifts you closer to his face. “You know I don’t like you wandering around down there under ped.”

• You’re so small and helpless compared to a Cybertronian he can’t help but worry. Not every bot pays that much attention to where they’re going. Thinks about the possibility of you even being down there. “I’m not going to get smooshed,” you protest, little chin lifting defiantly and it twists through him. Stirring his protectiveness. Do you have any idea what he’d do if you were hurt while under his protection?

• “Humor me. I worry,” he says, venting and you stiffen when Slipstream overhears in passing, the Seeker laughing. And you hear her call you a bug under her breath, but it’s not like you haven’t been called worse by other former Decepticons. It’s nothing you’re not used to, but you hear Grimlock beginning to rumble. Oh, no. “I’m sorry. What did you just call my companion?” He’s smiling, but he’s showing a lot of denta.

• “Grimmy, let it go. Don’t,” you plead, but he’s gently setting you down on top of a wall. Helpless to do more than watch as he grabs the Seeker by an arm, still smiling. Hear him say ‘I think you owe my darling an apology,’ but you don’t catch her retort. Only Grimlock’s furious ‘you dare?’ Before he’s transforming. Groaning as Cybertronians scatter out of the war zone and Grimlock snaps his jaws on the femme’s leg and slings her with a roar. Defending your honor in a full dinobot rage that’s going to spill over to anyone in the vicinity if you don’t rein him in.

• “You run from Grimlock?!” Infuriated, he chases after the fleeing Seeker, jaws snapping. It’s a sharp whistle that makes him stagger to a stop, still snarling. Another whistle brings him around, looking. There. Grimlock friend. Tail swaying as you lower your hand, he bumps you with his snout, venting against you. Head tipping, he gently catches you in his jaws, mouth open as he carries you away from the noise and press of bodies. Rumbling warningly as bots scatter out of his path. Carrying you home safe in his jaws.

ALSO HIS DYNAMIC WITH YHE OTHER DINOBOTS? he's basically a dad to them and it's so cute AHHHHHHHHHHHHH he's literally chasing after them in that one EP because they keep wanting to show off their combiner form

spekaing of which, they basically made Volcanicus into this awkward teenage boy and it's so wjwixiiewiosoxkdjwkwkkxkd ITS SO CUTE. the episode he's trying to learn to walk.

ill be so honest with you, i love every iteration of Grimlock with all my heart but when i first saw cyberverse grim, i was so skeptical. cause i was very attached to TFA grim and the way he spoke so proper was new to me.

but then he grew on me and he's such a precious old man he's so wholesome— needs more love and appreciation.

idk why grimlock in-general is so underrated..

I'll be honest, I haven't Watched Cyberverse in a while. I like him, just not really a grimlock girl in general. Love all of OP's Theater Kids Though. Him and Arcee definitely had an enjoyable friendship to watch.

Who is your favorite character from any series?

I have a ton of favorite characters but I want to share my particular experience with cyberverse grimlock-

I hated him. the entire series up until, and I am not kidding, the second-to-last episode when they gave him children and had him cart around arcee's frozen body and talk about how much he loves his wife and it totally changed my perception. I loved him, that's probably my favorite episode of the whole series, and when I rewatched it that love carried through again. so yeah

May I ask what were the best transformers media you ever saw/read?

Well Transformers Prime, Transformers 1986 and IDW comics are having the first place that’s for sure

And then the second place is kind of shared by Fall of Cybertron, Exodus, Prime wars trilogy, Robots in disguise(2001) and Transformers One.

The third place goes to G1, Animated, Earthspark, Armada, War for Cybertron Netflix series, Aligned Robots in disguise, Bumblebee, Rise of the Beasts and Cyberverse because I only liked some little parts of them.

And then I also saw some of the Bay movies, Victory and Headmasters and didn’t like them at all.

Separate first place for J-Decker. It is not exactly Transformers but it is a show about giant robots and I loved it
