Hi!!! I hope you are still active.I really want to thank you for cyclop eyes mod, and please beg you for update for infants as well! And make it like, genetic, I'm unsure if it is already but when sims are born it switches to normal eyes for some reason. I'd love to send ya pics of my cyclops too haha, just not sure how, Im not really on social media but I made this to ask you for this update <3 and to say huge thanks! Im really grateful for your mod and hope you make more (maybe 3 eyes??) thank

It was updated for infants almost a year ago

If there's a way to fix genetics, I unfortunately am unaware of it. Unless I find out how to do that, it's not possible for me to make it genetic.

It's impossible to make a preset that adds more body parts, that's why so many of my presets remove or reduce the number, since that's all that can be done. Adding more body parts is left to the realm of stick-on cc parts. Zaneida has some good cc including extra eyes, extra arms, and stuff like that. Lots of other people have made 3rd eye cc as well, including Valhallan and Gerbithats, off the top of my head.

As for sending images: generally, on simblr, folks will make a post with their images and tag the cc creators (or other users) that they'd like, using the @ symbol followed by their username. eg @ssspringroll . That will send the tagged user a notification that they were mentioned in a post.

Have you ever seen the silky anteater (Cyclopes didactylus)? This critter, which spends most of its life in the trees, uses long claws and a prehensile tail to hang high above the ground. Fun fact: This mammal prefers to inhabit ceiba trees, and its silky fur is actually a form of camouflage. Ceiba trees just so happen to produce large fluffy seed pods that resemble this animal’s fur! This resemblance helps keep the anteater hidden from predators.

Giant-Size Wolverine retcons

Marvel, famously, loves having Wolverine as a cash cow, to the point it has its own entry on TVTropes. This manifests as a LOT of Wolverine #1s being released as well as the clawed-one showing up on deceitful covers and guest starring anywhere they think they can justify it. Less common (but still frequent enough) is Forrest Gumping him into historical events or rewriting events he was there for as a character study cynical profiteering.

This is the latter, foregrounding Logan in Giant-Size X-Men to the detriment of almost everyone else. In the original Giant-Size X-Men, Logan sits at the back and says very little. Here he takes charge and uncharacteristically identifies that the new squad lacks synergy and a sense of teamwork. He opens with 'it's your first day as new X-Men, people. I'm going to show you how this works.' Uh, isn't it yours too? Did I miss a meeting?

Poor Kurt. Eddie Munster is just mean

So he starts a fight, telling everyone there's one too many people. Colossus objects for sexist reasons (not objection to killing lol) and Storm puts him in his place. Sunfire and Thunderbird both have little patience for white people or bullshit and Logan catches a fireball...

... and an elbow to the spine. Ororo goes off with electricity and Kurt just doesn't want to die, so he BAMFs behind her and starts choking Storm from behind. Logan turns the tables on Proudstar and drops a one liner about metal conducting electricity. I'm no wizard, but I don't think it interacts well with human flesh, either, especially if they have a metal skeleton. Obviously he takes everyone down and has the biggest dick in the world.

Yeah... about Thunderbird.

Banshee bursts in and reveals Logan is acting against Chuck's wishes. I'm generally in favour of that but I'm not fond of its narrative function at all . He has an open shirt, a toothpick in his mouth, and looks oh so pleased with himself. I'm not some reactionary purist who worships the sacred texts and pushes back against retcons. Quite the opposite, in fact. Additive retcons are fantastic when done well - Magneto being a Holocaust survivor stands as one of the best in fiction.

I don't think that's what this is, or at least it's not successful. In Giant-Size X-Men #1 there's no time for this pissing contest because all the other X-Men need rescuing ASAP. Chuck rounds them up and handles the basics then defers to Cyclops, the field leader of many years. They leave immediately and nobody is getting along. Sunfire leaves then comes back. Scott is all business because he's worried about the folks on Krakoa and there just isn't time. If they respect the chain of command in the field that's good enough. Team building can come later.

What's achieved here besides sidelining everyone to centre edge lord Logan? Not a lot, in fact I'd say it minimises Logan's character arc most of all. He was a grumpy loner who eventually learnt to trust people, came to see the X-Men as family, and committed to the team. Logan knowing half this stuff already and having this degree of social confidence just undermines that, as well as Cyclops' leadership of this ragged band. Not sure what Whedon was thinking tbh.

That wasn't the end of it, though. Interestingly, this is Chris Claremont writing here. Again, I'm not a purist and I'm under no illusion about CC's later X-Men work. He'd worked with these characters for a long time but Giant-Size was Wein & Cockrum, so he's choosing to expand the origin story. Thunderbird is still alive so they're still pretty new here. Anyway, Cyke is running a danger room training session - Storm vs Thunderbird.

After some kinda bizarre ethnic posturing Ororo is pinned.

Unsurprisingly, she starts to wig out due to her claustrophobia. Logan picks it up with his advanced senses and jumps in. Scott owns the mistake and ends the training session.

I find it hard to buy Scott would feel like his authority was undermined here. Logan is being as paternalistic as ever, but Scott blames himself for failures. He doesn't externalise it and he understands he's not leading children anymore. It's Chuck who has difficulty adapting to this specific dynamic. Also, Logan had zero interest in leadership. None. It was Ororo who was a friendly rival to him and ended up succeeding him as leader. He also didn't especially trust or show respect to anyone. Everyone else has problems but the focus and Charles' confidant is Wolverine. That's silly as hell.

Okay, private insecurity and self-doubt, totally Scott's thing. I'm just going to ignore literally everything else that's happening, especially 'damaged goods.' Ugh.

The second story came out in 2005 in Giant-Size X-Men #4. Aside from the Wolverine oversaturation and other weird shit I've pointed out, I feel like there was a concerted effort to bring certain characters closer to their FOX movies counterparts. Chuck started looking like Captain Picard, Scott was Flanderised a bit but moreso deemphasized, and Logan started to look and act more like Hugh Jackman. He joined more teams, regressed in social growth yet became way more important to the X-Men. More important to the very fabric of the Marvel universe.

I get why it happened (capitalism) but I think it was executed poorly in many instances. These are particularly egregious, but Wolverine was and is fucking everywhere - under many different writers. There's always going to be a sense of asynchronicity under those circumstances. I've actually come to really dislike Logan lately. Obviously it's an issue for most long running characters, but his particular regression to the mean every new book bores the shit out of me. He's not growing at all, even when everything around him changes. On Krakoa he was mostly just gruff and stabby, monologuing about hell, beer, time, nature, poison, and being the best he is at what he does. 🙄

He'll usually find someone worse than him to point at and call out with transparency he never applies to himself. Magneto, Scott, Beast, Scott, Chuck, teenage Scott, Sabertooth, Omega Red, Beast, Chuck, and Scott again. Someone please deconstruct this guy! Send him to therapy, break him down to his base components and examine them. Fuck his moping or running naked with wolves or fighting the W-digo - give him a messy boyfriend and force him to get the fuck over Jean Grey.

He can still fight ninjas and mentor troubled teens and sulk about whatever his latest thing is - just have him grow! His books will still sell, people will still cheer when he says bub, and snikt isn't going away. Hire Al Ewing to do it like he did with Loki, Hulk, Magneto, Sunspot, etc. Some of those changes actually stuck and the characters are more popular than ever! Is that too much to hope for? Almost certainly, but one can hope.

couldn't help but think constantly about season 2, like we are getting introduced to new characters (and new cast members 💓💓), but mostly because of annabeth. i've always seen som and botl as annabeth's books, they let you understand her personality, what she wants, what she is.

so there's some of the annabeth's moments that i really exacted/hope to see in the next season cause i know leah would EAT these parts yeah

“we could use your intelligence” “because you have none on your own!”

on princesse adromeda where luke is talking to both annabeth and percy, and he tries to convince annabeth to join him, pushing on something that he knows annabeth is extremely attached to, her intelligence. annabeth tries to stay strong, to don't freak out about how, her long time friend, her brother has turned out. even with this sense of sadness she is always the sassy little queen that we have been introduced in the first book !

i love the scene at circe's. and i can't wait and i do really HOPE to see the reyna/hilla cameo. i guess this scene is important because in some ways we see annabeth give up immortality for percy. and this is just the first time.

the whole backstrory with cyclops and it will be even better if we get some flashbacks

every single memory from her childhood is important to the construction of her character, there wouldn't be annabeth if there wasn't her memories. i guess this part of her story is important to let the reader (and in future the watcher) think about how much bad things annabeth went though since the age of seven. she has been fighting monsters since she was seven.

the sirens scene

okay, this is mostly percabeth BUT i just love how determined annabeth is in that scene, yeah i know that lot of people would consider her actions pretty stupid but be honest with yourself. first of all she was 13, she was a child, second thing, because of that we are getting introduced to her fatal flaw, pride. in that moment annabeth didn't know if she would had another chance to listen to the sirens so she took the opportunity that she had.

“ Three people sat on a picnic blanket in Central Park. A feast was spread out before them. I recognized Annabeth’s dad from photos she’d shown me-an athletic-looking, sandy-haired guy in his forties. He was holding hands with a beautiful woman who looked a lot like Annabeth. She was dressed casually-in blue jeans and a denim shirt and hiking boots-but something about the woman radiated power. I knew that I was looking at the goddess Athena. Next to them sat a young man … Luke.

The whole scene glowed in a warm, buttery light. The three of them were talking and laughing, and when they saw Annabeth, their faces lit up with delight. Annabeth’s mom and dad held out their arms invitingly. Luke grinned and gestured for Annabeth to sit next to him-as if he’d never betrayed her, as if he were still her friend.

Behind the trees of Central Park, a city skyline rose. I caught my breath, because it was Manhattan, but not Manhattan. It had been totally rebuilt from dazzling white marble, bigger and grander than ever-with golden windows and rooftop gardens. It was better than New York. Better than Mount Olympus. ”

this part is just so extremely dear to me. we see what annabeth really wanted. her dad, her mom, her brother and her biggest desire to create building because she wants to be remembered through them. the things that we don't see in this scene are percy and thalia. thalia, she is gone, annabeth would neved see her again so why even think about her as someone who would come back in her life, and percy. percy, that she already consideres as her percy. she knows that she already has him in her life. this scene is so sad and full of meaning we see the cruelest desire that annabeth has. she wants her family back. she wants to be someone one day. and she wants to feel proud of herself.

Well, it's Tuesday. What will happen today? God only knows. I'd really like to know what's going to happen this week since we made crazy progress on Lore yesterday. Let's recap: The Cyclopes don't want peace, they said that without Luffy they would make the residents suffer, however, in the end they gave QPhilza 5 days to rescue Luffy. The problem is that no one knows where Luffy is, and I think maybe not even the workers know, because the last time we saw Luffy he had been taken by Dark Cucurucho without the other Federation workers knowing it, and the few who saw it happen they were killed by him and the black/dark workers. That said, we know that qBagi accepted the mission to find Luffy, the small agreement with Fred earned she a teleportation to the Federation offices, apparently. We need to see her testing it and see where it goes, especially because the Federation offices have cameras now, so I believe it won't be easy for her to get around there and obtain information. Now, the rescue mission for QCellbit and QBaghera will be carried out soon, we don't know the exact date, CC Baghera said she hopes to return to QSMP in early February, although she also said she wouldn't be in Purgatory 2 and appeared for one day. Richas, when recruiting QPhilza for the mission, said that MAYBE not this week, he did not confirm the date. My opinion is that it could be at any time, the CC's and ADM's will not give us a date confirmation, they love to let us agonize. It will happen when we least expect it. Because the fun will be in taking us by surprise. That's why I wouldn't rule out happening this week yet. Now the technical part of the rescue mission, it seems, is supposed to be something discreet, so no one would try to disrupt or prevent it. That's why Richas and Pomme went alone, but QBagi managed to convince Richarlyson to at least take the BOLAS leader, QPhilza. A great choice considering that QCellbit and QBaghera would believe in him more than other people, perhaps QPhil will be the key to making them calm down and come back. Lastly, QRoier, who remains missing. There is a theory that perhaps QCellbit needs to return to the Island first so that QRoier can continue with the other part of his Lore, since he was using recordings, video tapes. It's a possibility. Because, apparently, if he needs rescuing, at the moment the only one who goes after him 100% is the husband.

Legendary Creatures: Cyclopes

Cyclopes (Κύκλωπες, Kýklōpes, 'circle-eyes' or 'round-eyes') come from the Greek and then Roman mythology. Hesiod wrote in the Theogany (composed around 730-700 BCE as an Epic dialect [in the style of the Iliad and Odyssey] and one of the most important primary sources on ancient Greek cosmogony) that there are three brothers, Brontes, Steropes, and Arges (thunder, lightning, and bright), the sons of Uranus and Gaia and creators of Zeus' thunder bolts. In Homer's Odyssey, they're uncouth shepherds, siblings of Polyphemus, sons of Poseidon and Thoosa, a sea nymph. Alternately, they built the so-called Cyclopean walls ta Mycenae, Tiryns, and Argos.

In Hesiod's writing, the three Cyclopes are the brothers of the Titans and the Hundred-Handers. They have a single eye in the middle of their foreheads. They helped Zeus in his takeover of the Greek succession myths after their father Uranus had imprisoned them. When Zeus freed them, they agreed to help him by creating his weapon, making it so that Zeus could stand against Cronus and the Titans. Apollodorus, a mythographor of the first or second CE, they also created Poseidon's trident and Hades' cap of invisibility, which also aided in the defeat of the Titans. In the Catalogue of Women, the author, presumably Hesiod, writes that the presumably immortal Cyclopes were killed by Apollo in revenge for Apollo's son Asclepius being killed by Zeus' thunderbolts. They also became the assistants to Hephaestus, creating the weapons of Apollow and Artemis. And though they have 'very violent hearts', great size, and strength, they only served the gods dutifully.

Homer's Odyssey (about 700 BCE) has the Cyclopes being man-eating giants who live in a distant land. They are very different to Hesiod's Cyclopes, being violent and living in the world of men rather than that of the gods. They also are shepherds with no understanding of agriculture or building rather than highly skilled smiths. According to the Roman poet Virgil, Homer's Cyclopes are siblings to Hesiod's Cyclopes.

The Cyclopean masonry walls on Mycenae, Tiryns, and Argos are made of large limestone boulders that fit together roughly yet had very little clearance between the stones and without mortar. This skill with the walls leans these Cyclopes of Hesiod rather than those of Homer despite living among humans as well as being used to explain the origin of the large walls on these islands. The mythic story is used to explain how the walls were built about 1300 BCE by people of the late fifth and early fourth-century BCE.
