Honestly, the whole inspiration came from @91qwn on Twitter. They created a bunch of dabiten fanart from back in the day but I checked them out and it seems like their account is non-existent now, which is a shame. Hopefully, we'll see more of this ship's content.

Warning: Possible spoilers on the identity of Shigaraki Tomura and Dabi.

Still thinking of a TouTen AU where Tenko and Touya are childhood friends and Tenko ends up losing control of his quirk anyway, but instead of AFO coming into his life after, it was the Hero Public Safety Commission, and they take Tenko away so they can help Tenko control his quirk.

But, they never really. Tenko was kept inside the Hero Public Safety Commission HQ for so many years. He was kept there so researchers can examine his quirk and run some tests with him. They even took samples of his skin and blood to try and weaponize his quirk (just like Eri). They kept him under wraps with some kind of special glove that seals and unseals his quirk; sedatives to keep him calm, etc. etc.

Basically, Tenko’s life was miserable in the HQ. Though he was allowed games and such to feel normal. He was allowed to see a few visitors -- Gran Torino and All Might, who learn of his situation and his relation to Nana; Touya, his best friend -- but only for a limited amount of time. All Might promised Tenko that he’ll free the latter one day, but despite all might’s powers and influence, Tenko was kept under wraps. Day by day, Tenko grows bitter about heroes and how they fail to keep their promises.

Meanwhile, Touya has a new goal -- become a hero, save Tenko. If he climbs up the ranks to be the best hero in Japan, he’ll surely be able to free Tenko, right? I can see the HPSC taking advantage of this, telling Touya that sure we will let you see Tenko but in return you have to do stuff for us. Touya grows more and more jaded about heroes after realizing that heroes are just like his father -- they do things for their own gain, even if they hurt other people.

So, when the League of Villains, headed by this mysterious boy named Deku, tells Touya that he’ll help Tenko, Touya was skeptical, but he was curious. Maybe after knowing that Tenko was experimented in the HQ, or knowing even All Might the no. 1 hero couldn’t do anything about the HPSC, Touya accepts Deku’s offer.

In the end, the HPSC building burns down and most staff members are ki//ed. But now Tenko can breathe the outdoor fresh air and walk on his own two feet anyone else watching his movements. He’s free; they’re both free.

And to Touya, that’s all that matters.

Majority of heroes/cops/etc are a give away for likely to misgender him. Looking mostly at Gran Torino since he legit deadnamed Big Sis Mag in canon. That wrinkly old geezer.

Endeavor would say he's supportive (mostly bc Touya started transitioning young and Enji wanted a boy anyway) but he'd misgender him "on accident" or when he's mad. Or when he's projecting Rei onto him. Good ol' "you look just like your mother" "You remind me so much of her" etc etc

Rei straight up calls him a girl when she's having an episode. Pry Bad Mom Rei hcs from my cold dead hands. I have mommy issues.

Hawks maybe wouldn't straight up misgender him (depending on hcs/ship concepts) but he'd femininize him for sure. Those dead dove toxic dabihawks concepts though? Yeah, for sure.

Tomura 50/50. A chill Tomura protrayal that's closer to fanon Tomura, no, never and he'd kill somebody if they did. But the fucky nasty Tomura that i like in toxic shigadabi concepts? 100% would misgender him and probably do some forced feminization shit, threaten to out him, blame it on All For One's influence, etc. I've been real, real into fucked up Shigaraki.

All For One and Ujiko, yeah, also would misgender him from time to time, but they also gave him top surgery.

A while ago on a writing server with some homies we talked about Dabiten with Trans Dabi and Geten outting him through posting a sex tape and then Spinner fucking up Geten bc he was quirkist to him so he already hated him on top of being a dick to Dabi, and for spinnerdabi in general. <33 but yeah. Geten. I could see him misgendering him.

I wanna say the majority of the todosibs would respect pronouns and all but some might forget/accidently misgender him, mostly like Fuyumi and Natsuo since Shouto probably didn't know him before he came out.
