One change from the book that I really want and hope to see in the later seasons is the destiny of Jaehaera Targaryen and Aegon III Targaryen.
Jaehaera was born from a loveless marriage and was raised in an very dysfunctional family. Not only her family was divided in two and she could feel the hate, but her life was ruined by a civil war.
At the age of six she witnessed the murder of her twin brother and almost the one of her younger brother Maelor, both her and her mother were threatened of rape and death. After that they weren’t the same, her mother distanced herself and she was mainly raised by her grandmother.Years later her younger brother will be brutally murdered and her own mother will kill herself leaving her alone.
At the end of the dance of dragons,Jaehaera is what remain of her parents. She becomes a tool in the hands of the men around her to bring back peace in the realm. She spends the rest of her days playing with her toys before her destiny will be the same as her mother.
Jaehaera deserved better, what had happened during blood and cheese forever changed her and shattered her pure innocent soul. She deserved to break the cycle of abuse,to survive the dance, something that she didn’t take willingly part of,and to be a good and diligent Queen along side Aegon the Younger who also deserved better.
As much as i like Daenaera,i wanted Jaehaera on the throne,to survive her trauma and taking strength from it making the realm a better place after the war.
I also really hope that Aegon will not abdicate and also learn how to use his own trauma and his mother memory to be a good king.Aegon that was sent away from home when he was a small child,he had almost lost his life and he had lost his brother Viserys.Witnessed the brutal death of his mother before his eyes and put on throne without being asked, used as a way to save the Targaryen dynasty and forced to marry the daughter of the man that killed his mother.
I really hope that in the show Jaehaera and Aegon the third will get a second chance,a better ending. To prove that the young generations are better than the old ones, that the children are better than the parents and that they are the ones to pay for the actions.
I hope that they will rule together and have a long and fruitful reign filled with love, joy, children and peace. They deserved it after what it was done to them.

Aegon III and Viserys ii Reunion
Tumblr media
“ King Aegon began to weep, throwing himself upon this boy in a fierce embrace. Oakenfist's "tresure" was Viserys Targaryen, the kings's lost brother, the youngest son of Queen Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon.. missing for nigh unto five years”.

do you have happy headcanons about aegon iii and viserys ii? or at least not that sad cause they already suffered enough in the canon
What a fun ask, I love having an excuse to gush about Aegon III and Viserys II! I’ll admit I’m usually drawn to angst, but some headcanons on the (somewhat) happier side of things:
Being a father did a lot to lighten Aegon III’s gloom (the broader realm/histories just didn’t observe this bc he was such a private person). This was especially the case with Daena. Daeron was always preoccupied with his martial training and Baelor with his faith, but Daena would spend long hours keeping her father company. She loved to hear stories about their family, and Aegon would tell her all about Rhaenyra and Daemon and his Velaryon brothers and childhood on Dragonstone. Aegon had spent so long trying to avoid those memories bc of his grief, but found telling his daughter about them therapeutic, and this helped him make some peace with his past in the last years of his life. He felt like he was doing right by his parents and brothers in passing down their memories. Daena would go on to tell many of those stories to her little sister Elaena and her son Daemon.
Aegon III got his three headed dragon necklace from Rhaenyra, and passed it down to Daena, who passed it down to Daemon. The necklace is still in the possession of Blackfyre descendents into the GOT era, and is considered a family heirloom.
Viserys used to climb into Aegon’s bed when he had a nightmare during their boyhood on Dragonstone. After their reunion, they would continue to share a bed on occasion, as they each felt most at peace in each others company, and this would help relieve some of Aegon’s insomnia. They did this most frequently in the years between Larra’s departure and Aegon consummating his marriage with Daenaera.
Aemon became Kingsguard in the last couple years of Aegon’s reign. Originally Viserys fervently argued against this, as he didn’t want his son swearing away the possibility of marriage and kids, but eventually Aemon convinced him that this was what he truly wanted. Gifting the white cloak to his nephew was one of Aegon’s proudest moments. When Aegon fell sick, Aemon was by his side helping care for him day and night, even beyond his duty as a Kingsguard.
Viserys didn’t tell Aegon he was going to name his son after him until after the babe was born. Aegon cried when he found out (stole this from another post).
Viserys didn’t call Aegon “Egg”, but Aegon did call his brother “Vis”.
It was Viserys who gifted Elaena her dragon egg. It wasn’t a cradle egg, but given to her when she was a few years old. Viserys hadn’t been able to convince Aegon to give eggs to his previous four children, but when Vis found an egg on Dragonstone that matched Elaena’s unique silver/gold hair, he took it as a sign. After much needling, Aegon finally relented, and from then on Elaena would carry around her dragons egg everywhere she went, just as her uncle had done years ago.
This one doesn’t count as happy, but I do think that one of the reasons why Viserys ascended the throne over Daena was because he believed that he was protecting her from sharing her brothers’ fates. I also think Daena proposed to unite their claims through marriage— citing Viserys' parents Daemon and Rhaenyra— but Viserys turned her offer down.
Aegon put off consummating his marriage with Daenaera largely because of his touch aversion, but also in part because he was just plain nervous. Cue Viserys “dad of three at 16” giving advice to his awkward 21 year old virgin brother. One night Aegon had resolved to finally bed Daenaera, only to hide himself away and not show up. Viserys dragged him to her chambers, and told him that if wasn’t ready to sleep with Daenaera that night he didn’t have to, but damn him if he is going to ditch his lovely sweet Queen after promising to spend the night with her. Aegon and Daenaera did not in fact consummate their marriage that night, but it did turn into a nice evening of getting to know each other better, and did much to ease both of their nervousness. Aegon thanked his brother later.
Aegon was never one for feasts and celebrations, but he would often make much more of an effort whenever Baela or Rhaena came to court (ofc under the condition that Morning either stay in Oldtown or be chained in the Dragon Pit). As such, Viserys would invite the twins to court whenever the found an excuse to do so, and they often celebrated their name day feast in Kings Landing. One time Rhaena even convinced Aegon to dance with her (albeit briefly) much to the delighted surprise of the court.
Viserys never remarried after Larra, but he did have a paramour in his later years that he was deeply fond of (got this one from a fanfic).
Viserys knew his brother didn’t have the best reputation in the Realm, and was very defensive of him. One day during Daeron’s rule one of the lords of the small council made the mistake of referring to Aegon as “the Dragonbane” where Viserys could hear. Viserys absolutely tore into him, threatening to ban the lord and his family from court for slandering their late king. Nobody made the mistake of using Aegon’s epithet in front of his brother again.
Viserys would often smile as he donned his Hand of the King pin during Aegon’s reign. He was beyond proud and honored to be his brothers right hand man. Aegon would sometimes refer to him as “my Lord Hand” because he loved how Viserys glowed at the title.
Many of these may be more bittersweet than "happy", but it's Aegon III and Viserys II so what's a girl to do🤷‍♀️

You know, TG stans are so hypocrite.
They are the same ones who complain about how House Velaryon should not support Rhaenyra because of Vaemond - when Vaemond only wanted to be Lord of Driftmark because of Corlys' money - and the significance of him being black.
And while I agree HOTD producers have failed in portraying their opulence and pride, Corlys and Rhaenys owe nothing to the greens. That offer Alicent made would have been reversed and they would have given Driftmark to Daemion Velaryon, Vaemond's oldest son, in order to defend male claims over female claims. And Corlys and Rhaenys wanted Baela as queen and Rhaena as Lady of Driftmark, true, it's not the same, but as we see how Rhaenyra raised her sons - and also because of Corlys and Rhaenys' pressure - they would have listened to their opinion in matters of government.
And yet they are the very same ones who criticize Daenaera simply because she exists; it seems they are willing to support Vaemond but not Daenaera.
They say it's creepy how Daenaera is described as a smiling child whose eyes sparkle. As excuse me, if someone is fetishizing a child, it's them, Daenaera is described as beautiful because she is, and her description is meant to be one of a child's innocence, not describing someone in a sexual way. In anything, it's the greens who are sexualizing a black girl (as the Show! Velaryons are black) because they are pissed Daenaera's descendants were princes and princesses and Jaehaera (a white girl) didn't have descendants.
Exactly!
Alicent offering Rhaenys Driftmark for her and her granddaughters was such an idiotic move on her part. She literally usurped the throne from the rightful Queen on the basis that she is a woman, and she is offering the seat of the second greatest power in the Realm to another woman in exchange for approving and supporting this usurpation. Seriously?
Regardless of what TG stans claim, Corlys and Rhaenys would have always been Team Black. There is nothing tying them to the greens. Their biological and adoptive grandchildren are Team Black, and their interests align with theirs. As for what happened to their children - none of it was Rhaenyra or Daemon’s fault. Laena died in childbirth, as many women did during those times. Daemon’s own mother died in childbirth, as did Rhaenyra’s. The Maesters in Pentos were very good and they couldn’t do anything to save Laena. No one is to blame for her death, and even Corlys knows that.
As for Laenor - Corlys and Rhaenys are pretty much responsible for putting him in such a situation they knew perfectly well would bring him hardships. He was not suited to be the Consort of a ruling Queen and he couldn’t even perform his duty and give his wife heirs she needed to secure her claim. Rhaenyra cannot be held accountable for finally ridding herself of the dead weight in her life which could have cost her everything.
Don’t even get me started on the TG stans obsessing over their Green girl and how much they hate Daenaera for replacing her.
Daenaera was a Velaryon and her marriage to Aegon III brought the Velaryons back in the royal fold for the second time in history. It is an important union between the two Valyrian Houses. Way more important than the marriage between Aegon III and the last surviving member of a defeated faction.
Aegon III was already broken, having witnessed horrific things. He needed someone to help heal his broken spirit. He needed light in his life, and that light was Daenaera. If he had stayed married to an equally broken girl with issues and whose father practically killed his mother, I am pretty sure Aegon would have ended up jumping off a balcony.
Daenaera and Viserys II are responsible for healing Aegon III.
And this whole marriage pact between Aegon III and the green girl for “keeping the peace” between the two factions is such bullshit. The green faction was defeated. Only one member was left alive: a broken eight year-old girl. There was no need for such a marriage.
What would the remaining so-called green “supporters” have done if Aegon III didn’t marry that girl? Plot to put her on the throne in his place? Um…isn’t the reason why they started the war because the rightful heir was a woman? To me, Aegon III’s first marriage was so completely unnecessary, and since it was never consummated, it can’t really be considered a true marriage.
I don’t have anything against that little girl, but she belonged to the losing faction and was a constant reminder of the treasonous acts and other atrocities committed by her family. Aegon III deserved better than that.

imo if you're against the possibility of hotd choosing to have viserys ii marry daenaera velayron & have the main line come from them and therefore not offing jaehaera in the process - then you're basically admitting you find what happened to viserys (a child hostage who later became a father at 13 when he consummated his marriage with a 20 year old woman) more comfortable than a young girl simply living all because she belonged to a faction you hate. hope this helps.

Post-Dance AU (because I hate how George decided to completely eradicate the Greens *cough* Alicent’s *cough* line)
Jaehaera survives the assassination attempt by Unwin Peake because that poor girl did not deserve that horrific end and that’s that.
She and Aegon III bond over time, because these traumatized kids deserve some happiness and you know what? Maybe they are the only two people in the world right now who understand even a semblance of what the other has gone through (Aegon watched his mother die, Jaehaera watched her twin brother be slaughtered) and maybe they both recognize that neither of them is responsible for what their families did to each other so why should they resent one another?
Over time they become a great comfort to each other. On the days where one is particularly gloomy, the other sits by them and holds their hand and they are content to sit in silence together and neither needs to say what they’re feeling because the other already knows.
They are both very close with Gaemon Palehair. He and Aegon are close for the same reasons as within canon, while Jaehaera believes that Gaemon truly is her half-sibling, her last remaining brother.
Eventually, Alyn Velaryon brings Viserys II home from Essos, but the boy comes alone (a 12-year-old boy married to a 19-year-old woman, yeah I think the fuck not, not in my history, and besides even if they had been closer in age Larra Rogare hated Westeros so let her stay in Essos like she wanted and live her own life there and be happy).
Like in canon, Aegon is somewhat neglectful of his wife and friend in the wake of his brother’s return, but Jaehaera and Gaemon understand his actions. Anyway, they still have each other for company. Viserys is incredibly distrustful of Jaehaera, and Aegon pleads with Viserys to be more understanding of their marriage and the comfort they have found in each other.
Aegon decides to hold a feast to celebrate Viserys’s return. Viserys spends most of the festivities with Baela and Rhaena, preferring not to fraternize with the daughter of the man who killed his mother. In the company of his sisters is Daenaera Velaryon (aged up in to be closer in age to Viserys because an 11-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl? It’s a no from me).
Daenaera manages to cheer Viserys with her happy nature, and he’s quite taken by how pretty she is. Unwin Peake, having never been exposed as the one behind Jaehaera’s assassination attempt (as is also the case in canon) brings his daughter to the feast in the hopes that she will catch the eye of Viserys, but Viserys has already taken a shine to Daenaera, ruining his plans once again.
The pair begin to exchange letters and (like Aegon and Jaehaera) bond over their losses. Viserys tells Aegon about his correspondence with Daenaera, and when Aegon tells Jaehaera, she decides to invite Daenaera to court as her lady-in-waiting. Viserys is delighted, and slowly begins to warm to Jaehaera.
As in canon, Aegon’s removal of the dragon eggs from the Red Keep causes a rift between the brothers. Unwin Peake continues to plot treason, conspiring to kill Aegon and Jaehaera so that Viserys may become King and take his daughter as his bride. But if his daughter is to become Viserys’s Queen, Daenaera Velaryon must also be removed. It is no secret by now that Viserys is very taken with the the girl, and intends to marry her.
Jaehaera and Daenaera eat the canonical poisoned tarts during a private dinner organized for the four. Aegon and Viserys narrowly avoid poisoning as they are delayed by a Small Council meeting. As in canon, Gaemon dies, devastating both Aegon and Jaehaera. The rift between Aegon and Viserys is mended as they help their respective ladies recover. Aegon and Jaehaera comfort each other through the loss of Gaemon, and Viserys proposes marriage to Daenaera, which she accepts. Oh, and Unwin Peake is finally exposed and executed (I still cannot believe this man escaped justice in canon, but not on my watch).
The four form a strong unit within the Red Keep and are, well, as happy as four traumatized young adults can be. They finally have the family each was deprived of at such a young age. Aegon eventually names Viserys his Hand, Jaehaera gives birth to Aegon’s five children, and Daenaera gives birth to Viserys’s three.
But unfortunately, canonical events must still come to pass. Aegon and Jaehaera pass away within months of each other in 157 AC; Daenaera dies some years later, and Viserys becomes his stern canonical self in the wake of her death. The crown passes from Aegon, to Daeron, to Baelor, to Viserys himself, to Aegon IV, who legitimizes the Blackfyres- who are now the descendants of both the Blacks and the Greens.

Hi, I love this acc sm!
Just asking if you could do a Jaehaera lives and Daenaera marries Viserys ii au? thanks sm!!
“You can eat it still. I’ll manage, Daenaera,” Jaehaera tells her good sister. Daenaera prances around the room as if she is a lady-in-waiting still, taking the fish dish she had been eating and putting it on the balcony for the morning birds to gobble up.
“Your words are most kind, your Grace, but your scrunched nose betrays you,” Daenaera grins as she sits back down on their tea table. They most often have their tea times at the gardens, but Jaehaera’s fatigue had not allowed them such luxury. Daenaera had combed her hair, but they both agreed she is better off remaining in her comfortable nightgown for the day. “The smell of the Strumm fish wards off Viserys, too. Regretful I must give up my defences, but I’ll manage for my Queen.”
Jaehaera lifts her teacup to her lips, a thin smile stretched upon her tired face. “Newlyweds should be sweet on each other. Should I worry you want my good brother repelled already?”
Daenaera laughs, her pretty smile accompanied by a playful gaze. “Oh, there are no concerns there. Should he have been any sweeter, he may have not allowed me to attend my duties to you on this fine day.”
Jaehaera shakes her head with a soft chuckle. “You are going to make Viserys resent me,” she says. They’ve come a long way since their initial meeting and the accusations of her ‘bewitching Aegon’, but Jaehaera’s matching of her good brother and Daenaera bridged them true. She hopes that it won't go to waste. “Regardless, you are not my lady-in-waiting anymore. You must remember to enjoy your own bliss; you needn’t attend any duty.”
“On the contrary, your Grace. You are my good sister now, and my duties are attended from the depths of my heart,” Daenaera says as if she is speaking out a poem, smoothly, and leans forward to bring a hand over Jaehaera’s palm. “On such exciting days I couldn’t bear not to see you, Haera.”
Jaehaera smiles gently, bringing her other hand to her belly. She had been anxious when the signs had started to show. The maester Daenaera brought from Driftmark in preparation for her wedding had also been the maester that confirmed Jaehaera is with child. The Grand Maester would’ve had to tell Aegon — but she had wanted to know for herself, first. They only made headway with their own intimacy this year. The changes are coming with such haste she hasn’t managed to internalise either her fears or her excitement.
Swift knocks are heard from behind the door. “King Aegon the Third and Prince Viserys are at the door, my Queen,” Ser Willis Fell announces. “May they enter?”
Jaehaera snorts. Ser Willis wastes no opportunities to show his allegiance. Should Aegon have stood there alone, he could not make them ask for permission, but Viserys standing outside the door means he must mind her chastity.
“Speak of the devil,” Daenaera’s smiles from ear to ear, turning her body around to the door.
“Daenaera,” Jaehaera exclaims softly, amused. She clears her throat to raise her voice. “Let them in, Ser Willis.”
The door opens for the two brothers. Aegon’s dark amethyst eyes fall on her tenderly, and the hand that brushes on her belly moves to her lap. She nearby told him yesterday, when he embraced her to calm sleep, but had found him lulled to sleep before she could find the courage. It is always on the tip of her tongue.
“And here I thought you’d keep me out, good-sister,” Viserys says, walking over to Daenaera in steps that seemed more reflex than thought of. “Wife,” he says, planting a full kiss on her silver locks.
“If it was up to me, she would,” Daenaera answers, giving a kiss of her own to his chin.”The council went well, I’d hope?”
“As well as you’d expect from a council all due to be swapped,” Viserys says. “They take too long to make decisions as simple as deciding what establishments to be patrons of for The Smith’s Day. The answer is in the day’s name, for heaven's sake.”
“The Smith represents all labourers, good brother,” Jaehaera chimes in, leaning back against her chair. “There is some merit in that discussion, I fear.”
Aegon drags the chair beside her to sit down. “Let him complain. We all know the true reason he does,” he says. “He has been tortured to keep a charming smile for the entirety of it. A wonder the corners of his lips are not set in it permanently, by now.”
“Should you budge a smile for once, I wouldn’t have to blind the room with mine,” Viserys says, taking his own place with his wife. “Dear sister, I implore you to have him practice his smiles. He cannot leave you to endear the realm to the crown on your own.”
“I am certain the realm will soon be overwhelmingly endeared to her and The Crown in tow. His Grace is only aid, one way or another,” Daenaera chuckles to herself.
“Pardon?” Aegon asks, tilting his head. The goblet of wine he poured for himself is held by his chest as he stops to comment. He poured herself one, too; she had been the wine fan of them two, but alas, she cannot allow herself to drink much. “I don’t think my wife needs any assistance in these matters.”
Jaehaera smiles. A few years ago all would doubt that claim entirely, but she supposes all things are due to change. She ought to embrace this possibility and make it true; the son or the daughter that are growing in her belly deserve to be loved by the realm, as they deserve to be loved by their father.
She looks at Aegon midway his sip, at the line of his restrained lips. Jaehaera raises herself on the chair, fixing her posture, hand coming back to her belly. “Perhaps, but assistance will come anyway. The babe will be of great aid, if my husband will not.”
Aegon’s wine spritzes from his mouth like a rush of rain. It stains the teal of Viserys’s doublet and furthermore his face, to Daenaera’s great laughter. Jaehaera cracks a wide smile at the display, and especially when Aegon turns to her whole.
“Truly?” his goblet is left aside, reaching out to her wrist. Jaehaera nods gently, letting her eyes crinkle at Aegon in hopes his will return the favour. The king does not disappoint, his face coming to her own for a swift kiss that stamps his smile on her own.
“I am all congratulations for the both of you, and the realm,” Viserys says, trying to clean off some of the wine on his doublet while Daenaera brushes away his wet fringe from his face, still struck with giggles. “But you most definitely will have to rely on your wife and child in charms, dear brother.”
Aegon shakes his head, kissing her one more time before he turns to his brother. “We will see how you will take it when such news comes to you.”
Feeling at her utmost bravery, Jaehaera hums. “My aversion to the scent of Daenaera’s beloved fish dish had been a most important indicator. Perhaps we should check if you are due alongside me, dear brother?”
“Those damn fish,” Viserys’s ears turn a shade of pink. “I take it back. My nephew or niece will have to do the work for you both.”
Daenaera kisses Viserys’s flushed cheek; soon enough his face brightens. Aegon brings a hand to Jaehaera’s stomach too. Jaehaera hopes the son or daughter within her hears the joy they already brought forward.

the daenaera x viserys ii seems cute and interesting, i can imagine them having something during the reign of daeron i, i guess widowers finding solace better if it disapproved by their children
My first thought is a complete au where Daenaera and Viserys marry instead of their respective canon spouses, but that would be an interesting concept as well🤔
Honestly I doubt either were very happy in their respective marriage. Viserys wife literally left him and Aegon was so depressed I doubt he was a fully present husband. So a second chance at real happiness for both would be amazing🙌🏽

I read somewhere, that the best brothers, Aegon III & Viserys II, hated their parents Rhaenyra and Daemon???? And the reason? Because none of their 8 combined children were given their grandparents' name? AND they didn't recognise Rhaenyra as being a true queen in the histories??????
Are you just stupid or something? 😭 Like ever heard of the team 'PEACE', it's when you keep your mouth shut. hush, hush. Or 'a state or period in which there is no war or a war has ended.'
They cannot under any circumstances recognise their mother as queen, another revolt from the smallfolks will break out, because the memory of the war is still new.
