Good Omens characters most relevant to me, and their sexualities (as portrayed by the most horrid stickers you've ever seen)
Tumblr media
(But pretty much the only guy she's into is her her biblical arch nemesis... Aka, her twin brother.)
Tumblr media
(Beel is the most bi bitch to ever bi, she could be the mascot for bisexuality, I struggle to even explain just how bi she is.)
Tumblr media
(Tbh, demi would probably be a more accurate descriptor for him.)
Tumblr media
(Need I even say anything? It's obvious. She sees men as playthings, and not the bedroom kind, she could never love one.)
Tumblr media
(Another bi to the core, she doesn't care what gender her lover is, as long as she's being dommed.)
Lucifer, Anathema and Hastur not included, because they're straight. Lucifer is the kind of lover of women every lover of women should aspire to be. 💖
Dagon's bi, but she's usually with Leviathan, an OC in this universe, who's male... Except, they both like to switch sex from time to time.

Naobito Zenin's CT is basically forcing a freeze response on his target. The first time we see this, Dagon throws up and loses his clothes, crawls and cries for Hanami. Dagon then transforms into a beast full of rage.
Naoya also has this CT - and really this makes sense considering how they treat women.
Naobito forcing his wife to have kids until one finally inherits it. (I think it's rly rare for immediate family to have more than one sorcerer, there seems to be a sort of balance - Gojo and Fushiguro, and Geto, with the strongest CT didn't have parents who could teach them. I kind of hc that Nobara's and Nanako and Mimiko's parents used a pact, to protect them or to get herself out of jujutsu obligations). The family tree doesn't even list a number of kids between Naobito and his wife - it just says "many".
I'm not even sure if women is the right word here, actually, considering how awful Naoya was to his underage cousins.
I'm just going to link this post bc it goes more into the autonomy horror of jjk, the Zenin clan stuff and easy to find there.

My current dragonborn's backstory and hcs pt 1 (?)
His name is RuaidhrĂ (pronounced "roo-ri or just roar-ri he accepts all pronunciations), he's a Reachman and he's mentally ill. Here is his story. Sorry it's all over the place I have ADHD and the Thoughts just keep coming.
He is a pan demi-romantic asexual and has a husband (Marcurio) and a Serana (QPR). Very slow burn for Marcurio but with Serana the connection was almost instant. He adopts five children over the course of his adventures. (In adoption order: Lucia, Alesan, Blaise, Sofie, and Runa)
Had two weddings, one was public in the Temple of Mara in Riften for political reasons, and the other one was the 'real' wedding done privately in the Reach with his clan-friends and family.
Fist fought Heimskr the first time he met him and spent his first night in Whiterun in the dungeons lol.
Despite his big reputation, he is soft spoken and quiet, a stark contrast to the stories of the dragonborn. And is often seen practicing his writing in his journal. He has a thick accent and it is sometimes hard to understand him, especially when he talks fast or is excited or nervous. He taught himself how to read and write and likes to read in his spare time and enjoys learning new things.
RuaidhrĂ learned Cyrodillic when he was a teen, and often forgets words or phrases and tries really hard to describe them to Marcurio or Lydia, who often act as translators for things he doesn't understand (which is a lot). Either cultural or just conversation. He often writes the words or phrases down so he doesn't forget.
His father was half Nord and was a Companion and werewolf before meeting his mother. He was famous for duel wielding summoned swords and using Reach magic to slay his enemies. His father died in the Markarth Incident, along with his older brothers. He never got to meet them but he knows he loves them all the same. He even joins the Companions and becomes a werewolf to honor his father. And bc he thinks Hircine is cool (which he is).
His mother had another lover along with his father, a woman, his other mother, and they both managed to escape Markarth with the remaining children (RuaidhrĂ's older sisters), RuaidhrĂ was born after the Incident. His blood mother was pregnant with him at the time and she never got the chance to tell his father. He was not around to witness the horrors Ulfric and his men did, but he witnessed the aftermath, the grief, the suffering....and that alone was enough to spark the flame of rebellion inside him.
He is named after his father, and is said to look just like him, only skinny. (At least, in the beginning) He has red hair and is trying to grow mutton chops, and has facial tattoes after proving himself a capable warrior for his coming of age ceremony. He also has various body tattoos, full sleeves on both his arms and some symbols on his chest and back. He has a septum piercing and puts a feather thru it. He is very scarred from being clumsy and from hunting exploits.
Worships Hircine as his chief deity but Hermaeous Mora is his close second, and to a lesser extent, Sithis, Namira, Merhunes Dagon, Clavicus Vile, and along with (a reach-ified) Kyne, and Dibella. Other daedra he respects, and obviously he doesn't hold the aedra sacred outside of Kyne and Dibella. He is very religious and proud of his culture.
He has alexithymia and ADHD and probably autism. He's very rage filled in the beginning and just wants the Reach to be free. He also kills Madanach bc HE wants to be the one to rule the Reach, and bc he knows it will get him the Nords and Empire's favour.
(I think it would be really cool if he was like a foil to Ulfric. They both kill their respective kings because they believe their way is the right way and want the crown for themselves, but they also spell doom for the very people they are trying to free. The only difference is that RuaidhrĂ gets better and comes to learn and regret his actions, Ulfric doesn't)
He accepts the houses the Jarls give him and turns them into homeless shelters, hospices, orphanages, and general shelters for the downtrodden and puts his huscarls in charge of keeping them. He keeps very close tabs on his houses via scrying and spies.
Despite trying to be this cold hearted and calculating leader he is a bleeding heart, and has a big soft spot for children, animals, and nature. He regularly donates to Honorhall after Grelod's "untimely demise" and prays for his fallen enemies, he believes everyone should have a place in the spirit world (except Ulfric lmao).
He is also kind of stupid. He had no real plans for what he's gonna do once he becomes Jarl of Markarth or whatever or how to establish trade with the Empire. Or even how to gain political knowledge outside of reading books. He's also just. Horrible at social cues, and not just because of differing cultures. He kills Eola bc he doesn't realise she's a Namira worshipper and just thought she was weird (rip Eola u a real one) and comes to regret his actions. His plans for the Reach become more tangible and stable when he meets Marcurio, and with his help they also try to develop a Reach alphabet and written language.
Early on he does some pretty shitty things (like killing Eola, and Madanach) because he thinks it will make him look good, (or he just doesn't realise it's wrong) but he tries to learn from his mistakes. Killing Madanach he doesn't really regret tho.
Joins the Legion for the sole purpose of climbing the ranks to achieve the Empire's favour and to kill Ulfric. Which he succeeds (he also soul traps Ulfric lmao).
He also manages to establish trade between the reachmen and the Empire during his time in the Legion and is slowly integrating Reach culture into Skyrim with the help of his clan-friends and Marcurio.
RuaidhrĂ's choice in weapon is the war axe. It's a very versatile weapon and he likes to hack away at his foes. He duel wields them and strangely wears heavy armor (he thinks it makes him look intimidating. It doesn't cuz he's scrawny at first) despite being quick and agile. He's a very good hunter and archer and likes to be sneaky.
He's also very good at restoration magic and is a wonderful healer and often does lectures at the College of Winterhold when he has the time. (He doesn't become Archmage bc Maribelle survives via Reach healing magic)
Is the Listener of the DB, Harbinger of the Companions, Nightingale (Brynjolf and Karliah become the guildmasters), and a Legate in the Legion. (And a thegn in all the holds).
Tried human flesh a few times and didn't like it. Literally the only reason why he's not a cannibal lol. He'll probably eat it if he has to but he much prefers beef thank u very much
Might become the Jarl of Markarth after the second great war but I'm still on the fence for that lol
RuaidhrĂ has three older sisters, he is the youngest of them all and was both doted and picked on (like most youngest siblings). He has a strained relationship with his eldest sister Grainne bc they have different opinions on how they should free the Reach. And bc he killed Eola, who was apparently one of his sister's lovers.
Spares Cicero bc of silly guy solidarity.

Final episode of Season 3 will have the kiss that the husbands deserve, and all of Heaven, Hell, and humanity will witness it in some way.
Humans suddenly feel an overwhelming joyful love for everyone, their friends, enemies, and recent acquaintances. Nebulae are visible in the sky at very close distance to Earth, and flowers grow to gigantic sizes and in the most brilliant colors, but mostly yellow. The Bentley is playing Queen's "I Was Born to Love You" at an impossible volume.
The Archangels Michael and Uriel look disgusted, Metatron rolls his eyes before promptly being smited fired by God, and Saraqael is grinning like they just won a bet. Muriel and Jesus do a fist bump.
Dagon is visibly throwing up, Shax kills Eric (again), and Furfur is near tears (he had a wee crush, it's my hc lol). Hastur and Ligur come back from a long holiday after Ligur was brought back from destruction (he was I won't debate this I love my boy) and walk in looking like that Community meme and then immediately walking out (they don't know shit so why make it worse).
And then the camera zooms away from all the miracles happening to a shot inside of a house where Neil Gaiman is writing a new book. He pauses, looks out the window, and then looks at the camera like he's on The Office.
Camera zooms back to Crowley and Aziraphale and all they notice is the other. They're both trembling in their embrace from the rush of emotions they've been holding back all these millennia. They go in for another kiss and then
VAVOOM
We're in Sussex, where Crowley is lounging in a hammock next to a big vegetable garden. He wakes up and goes into a cute cottage, goes into the den to find Aziraphale reading in his old brocade chair. He comes up behind him, leans down, and kisses his cheek. Aziraphale turns to him and they share a smile.
They're free to love, they're free to do what they wish, they're free to be completely honest with each other and themselves.
Aziraphale notices the lovely day outside. "Could we go for a drive?"
Crowley of course relents to those angel eyes and shrugs. "Sure...why not?"
Cut to the Bentley, black with a yellow roof and doors, playing "Good Old Fashioned Lover Boy". Credits roll and the Good Omens Fandom collectively explodes, the end.

Good Omens demon hcs because the hyperfixation is fixating again
Demons sometimes present the behaviors of their animal counterparts (which is canon but lemme expand on it). Ex: Crowley forgetting to blink, Beelzebub rubbing their hands together, Ligur loves warmth, Dagon circling people she’s arguing with, etc..
They’re very physical creatures (physical affection, taking up space, more likely to get into physical fights) where as Angels are more reserved.
Expanding on the last one: board meetings in hell usually end in physical fights or at least threats of. Instead of fixing this, there is a tally going of who gets into the most fights, who wins the most, how many days it’s been since the last fight, etc.. There’s also like
no work being done down there at this point
Beelzebub’s flies all have names
Dagon loves going to the beach at night to swim
Demons are pretty artistic. Yeah the spelling is shit, but those fuckers can crank out a sick painting or tune
Crowley served as a muse for a few painters/writers, including John William Waterhouse and Shakespeare
Demons eat, but only the nastiest things you can think of. Raw meat, old fruit, expired chips, ext..
The angel/demon views on fashion are incredibly different (also canon but let me ramble). Angels prefer more neutral, modest clothing. Demons, on the other hand, prefer more shocking, revealing, alternative, etc. clothes/styles
Eric is really good at makeup
Beelzebub and Dagon are inseparable and have been since before The Fall
On the same note: Crowley, Beelzebub, Dagon, and Shax were all close in heaven and still are (I know this semi goes against canon but listen I need to softness of lasting friendships/making up because I am overflowing with love to the point that it causes me physical pain). Gabriel is fighting for his life for approval when he starts dating Bee because they trust few people, and anyone who breaks that trust is going to have to answer to a very angry friend group (same goes for any other potential suitors like Aziraphale and Michael)
Hastur and Ligur have something going on
Furfur and Shax like jazz. Idk why this one just came to me while writing
Demons have very strong emotions and reactions. When they’re stressed/angry/in pain, their true forms/demonic features begin to become more prominent (Crowley with the lightning)
When they were a Seraph, Beelzebub created butterflies, bees, and moths along with flies
VERY fast reflexes. Like scarily so
If you want more lmk if not I’ll probably just share more anyways cause once I start rambling I don’t stop ❀

4th manga read thoughts: chapter 10, volume 2
Kenjaku had Sukuna's finger placed n the detention center.
at the end of the yasohachi bridge mission, Fushiguro determines that Yuuji eating the finger was the inciting event that resonated with Sukuna's fingers, and led to them being absorbed by cursed spirits.
but were any of Sukuna's fingers truly unaccounted for? Kenjaku had a large collection. the warehouse, Gojo's secret one, and maybe another that Nanako and Mimiko had hidden (or at least knew the location of).
Ch.10 opens with the fact that Sukuna's finger was used to get information on Sukuna's power. later, it's used as bait for the death painting wombs (I imagine it was largely to measure the strength of Sukuna's vessel before going into the shibuya incident, as well as putting Yuuji against his brothers).
TLDR what I'm saying is that I don't think it was Yuuji's fault that Sukuna's fingers were waking up and being absorbed by curses, because Kenjaku was always the one putting them out there. Likewise I'm not convinced that Gojo's birth was responsible for the increase in curses' strength (the disaster curses had been developing over a long period of time, the evolution of Tengen, and other circumstances could easily contribute. not to mention the old man who stated this as fact is the type to blame and torture others, taking no responsibility for his own actions or shortcomings).
Baby Dagon looks uncomfortable and struggling to keep up with them. maybe it's just a wishful hc but I like to think that Hanami and Dagon joined the group bc Jogo and Kenjaku and Mahito would destroy the environment without a second thought. both of them can see that the world is set up in a destructive way, and that there needs to be some kind of change, but they don't have their own plan so they get into this group. I still think that Mahito, being born of the worst of humans, gave the curses especially hanami, a bad impression. the idea that they could not coexist with humans. Jogo feels more neutral to me, like some chaotic neutral, idrk what his deal is so I'll spend some time paying attention to him on this read.
when Kenjaku tells the hostess that it's a party of one, that seems to represent that he is only using the others. Jogo's face here is so funny he's like 😒 I want to be the human
then it cuts to Gojo and Ijichi. they also can see that the current system is damaging. and that maybe killing the higher-ups is the solution. but Gojo, unlike the disaster curses, has a plan of his own to teach the next generation.
irrelevant but oh my god. Shoko is so beautiful in the manga I just want to stop reading and look at her.
back to the cafĂ© - when they walked in, I noticed the sigh said GHOSTO. which feels like foreshadowing to Jogo killing the people inside it. but in the anime, it said ăƒ©ă‚€ă‚č、which is ra-i-su, and I assumed translated to Rise. like a morning theme.
or maybe this all, along with the cicada crawling out of its skin as Fushiguro spoke with Nobara about Yuuji, are alluding to his return to life.
oh right, without humans there wouldn't be curses, so Jogo is asking for help in defeating the sorcerers. but he'll let anyone die as a consequence of his own unchecked whims and emotions.
Kenjaku saying "before the war, seal Gojo and befriend Sukuna/Yuuji" as if he is not going to absorb Jogo immediately after alcnakckamx
and despite this, Jogo cared too much about his emotions against Gojo to even address Yuuji. Just ignored that kid.
ok that's the whole chapter.
EDIT TO ADD: it felt significant for the explanation of the exchange event to be so... include things that weren't necessary or true. like each principal chooses an event, team and then individual.
I think this goes into what we find out toward the end of the manga - that Gojo was wrong when he told Fushiguro that everyone dies alone. Yaga was wrong saying that every sorcerer dies with regret.
sometimes it seemed like they fought alone, but in the end, it was always a team battle.

What do you feel about the final episode of JJK? It’s nice that Mahito got the final word, but I feel
 nothing. I’m probably underwhelmed.
guess I’ll go back to making HCs and AUs again.
I feel about the same as reading the other recent chapters. I would say underwhelmed is a good word. Or like neutral.
It doesn't help that I've been more checked out of JJK in the sense I was in it for the curses more than the humans. And once I realized that Sukuna wasn't winning, I was more interested in reliving the curse days than really what the ending was gonna be.
I would say that it ended about how I thought it would (not context-wise, but interest-wise). Was kinda hoping it was a curse and not a curse user, but I figured that would have been a big stretch.
But yea, it's a find enough ending on it's own. We at least got a solid ending where things can move forward if needed.
As for headcanons, I do like the idea that Mahito was able to talk to Hanami, Jogo, and Dagon one last time before they went into the cycle of souls, like how he was able to pull Sukuna to talk to him.
Perhaps Mahito was even able to pull Dagon in their evolved form and talk to them fully. Something that Jogo wasn't able to do when he died and met with Hanami and Dagon.
Maybe the four had a reunion, or maybe Mahito talked to them one-on-one. Who knows. But I do like the ideas that he did end up talking to them (perhaps he even talked to Kenjaku? I can imagine Mahito pulling Kenjaku's soul and seeing his first body, or something entirely different because Kenjaku's soul can't take on a "true" form anymore because of how long he has been alive).
Anyway, now as you can see, I latched on to more of the curse side of things rather than the enlightening human side of things lol
(also it was nice seeing Nobara, Yuji, and Megumi be a funny lil trio again. The next time they are traumatized by a curse will be great!)

Sorry for the lateness, mental health is simply not the best, truly, but here you go! I know not many like Fuxi but I like him. He's grossly obsessed and I like messing around with those kinds of gross characters. I want to make them hurt.

I really wanna explore Dagon and Godzilla relationship in my AU/headcanon at some point bc they live rent free in my brain
Tumblr media
They're just tragic creatures, the two last ones of a extinct species and one of them has a tragic death and leaves the other alone
Idk, since Dagon is never really explored in the movies/comics (besides apparently Dagon being kinder/more interested in humans than Goji), I can just be silly and mess with them eheheh
I personally HC they're not related, just friends/a couple or smt. They knew each other before that war between the kongs and godzillas, got close, the war happened, and they and a handful survived (between MUTOs attacks and just the radioactivity becoming "weaker" on earth, plus loss of territory and less food). They managed to survive for long, and Dagon even went out of his way to bond with humans, since he thought they were interesting creatures, but died a slow and painful death after a MUTO attacked these humans
Which lead to Goji hibernating for years and years and years until he was awaken but a bomb
Anyway, ty for coming to my Ted talk hehe

I’m very bored tma + good omens avatar hc
Thinking about Magnus archives while listening to the good omens audio book 😭
I had the wiki open for reference idk if that helps with anything
The four horse men of the apocalypse
Death: The End
Goes with out saying lmao, I mean they pretty much are one in the same less that death is an avatar of The end and more they just are The End
Pollution: The Extinction
I was debating on also going with the slaughter maybe because of like pestilence, and also how they kind of throw other people under bus when messing with the oil rig and other organizations it made me connect it to the “unmotivated violence” idk rather just make it simple so the extinction
Could also see an argument for the corruption but I feel that’s more individual where the extinction is more all encompassing soooo
Famine: The Flesh
A lot of the imagery associated with him is pretty body horror-ie also a lot of manipulation of food
War: The Desolation
Honestly I feel like this one was the only one for the four horsemen where the war choice just doesn’t fit in my mind, like her being an avatar of the slaughter
nahhhh. The way she acts and tries to corrupt and start infighting on a individual level
like the whole scene in the show where she stop the peace treaty by just being there was very cult of the lightless flame of her
also she has red hair and fire imagery soooo (jk)
Humans
Agnes Nutter (also maybe just the entire device blood line tbh): The Web
Girl controls all of the device family via her predictions and knows how everything that’s gonna go down could maybe say the eye but the eye doesn’t predict the future also Agnes and Anathema are cunty enough to chill with Annabella I think
The them: The spiral??
Idk Adam has the ability to make reality bend the way he wants it and the rest of them are kids exploring their imagination maybe there’s something’s there about illusions also in the book ley lines start to spiral and converge in Tadfeild so boom whatever
Shadwell: The hunt
Bros been witch hunting his enitre life like
Nina: The Corruption
Unhealthy relationship whomp whomp
Maggie: The Burried
Idk maybe smth about feeling trapped with a record shop no one comes to and not enough money to find anywhere else to be that’s doesn’t really make sense tho cause she love the records shop and love Nina so I mean idk help
Demons
Crowley: The Eye
Honestly this was the post that inspired this while i do agree like woe is Crowley sad lonely demon, MF is so curious! Alway asking damned fool questions he just wants to know stuff so bad to the point of his own damnation like
.
Hastur: The corruption
Bug (could also be avatar of the hunt)
Beelzebub: The corruption
Bug (that one’s lazy ik okay) I can see arguments for the slaughter (wanting for their to be a war or just in general being the over seer of torture) or the stranger( for like 2.5 second in season 2) but I will not be one to make those arguments (even though that’s whole point of this blog post)
Dagon: The desolation
Very bitey give me very big manipulator vibes waiting for mfs down fall (could also see them as an avatar of the hunt for the same reasons!!)
Shax (and furfur tbh): The Hunt
She got that dawg in her climbing the corporate ladder praying on bitches down fall very girlboss
Angels
Aziraphale: The lonely
Unironically the hardest one for me like idk I could maybe see the eye because of the bookshop but I think it’s less of like desire for information and more about the actually act of collecting and the enjoyment of reading for him like yes he still has a curiosity about and seeks information but idk it’s more restrained (then like Crowley) and limited to whatever humans got going on I think
Idk this is the one I’m the most wishy-washy about some one else could probably find smth better but I decided to go with the lonely cause he very much enjoys his solitude with his books, but then it’s also like no he has and loves Crowley! But At the same time tho there’s that whole mention in the book where he like hints at Crowley when to get the fuck out of the bookshop so he can go back to reading. Idk out of all the fears this is the only I think he would most likely to be an avatar to (also gotta keep up the lonely + the eye parings right lmaoo)
Metatron: The stranger
Bro is so secretive about everything and literally changes his mannerism when trying to get Aziraphale back to heaven, definitely could also see the web since he is “the voice of god” but I feel like that’s just another face he puts on and he has not been actually able to speak to good since like job or smth. I think he just has a general outline of how things are supposed to happen but what god actually has planned is well ineffable so
Gabriel (Honestly also applies to the other Archangels tbh): The Desolation
They want war, they want to end the world before it has the ability to see its full potential
Jim: The spiral
Because

Muriel: The lonely
:(
(idk I need to seem some mentorship and Muriel becoming her own person in season 3 Kay bye)
Thanks for reading my ramblings if you got this far please feel feed to add your own opinions and ideas to this lmao

WOW... You can't imegine how excited I am now that I know you also ship AkaFuri from KnB. When I entered the fandom, most people ship akashi with kuroko or akashi with his white haired senpai (sorry forget the name). And then Zuko/ Sokka, at that time (years ago), most will ship zuko/katara or katara/aang, and I was made fun of because of my ship... Thanks for sharing your fav ships @ultfreakme ....
I found your blog cause your post about parallel between ItaJun with SatoSugu (you are the first person who I found to see the similarities between ItaJun with SatoSugu)....
Can I ask why do Gojo in s1 left bad impression on you? I love your HC about him, so true, I can't imagine Gojo without his power or wealth but I can imagine Geto from rags to riches.....
YES ANOTHER AKAFURI SHIPPER MWAHAHAHA!!! And a Zukka as well I see I see you have wonderful taste hehehe. I fully understand why people shipped Akashi with Kuroko and white-hair senior(Mayuzumi hhhhh me & my friend love this character a lot, we mostly enjoy the secondary and tertiary character like Nijimura- who was the Generation of Miracles former captain). But like, AkaFuri just have so much fun potential~~
And oh my god I fully escaped the Zuko/Katara shipping content and discussions because I wasn't in fandoms as a kid, it must have been a nightmare for you to have shipped Zukka back then when the Zut@r@s are....well they are not fun to talk with. Back then and often even now, people see queer ships as less valid than het ships even though both are equally unlikely. Just because a ship is het doesn't mean it's less delusional. Glad we can all enjoy the Zukka renaissance now and hopefully the vitriol from the het ship wars does not reach us anymore.
I posted the ItaJun/SatoSugu parallel thinking no one would agree and it felt a little delulul shipper brain even to myself but like, it was there, and I just wanted to talk about it and I'm so glad someone else saw it too!!! I think JJK has a lot of relationships that are just, variations of each other. Eg; Gojo-Geto, Yuuji-Junpei, Yuuji-Megumi are all sort of divergences of each other. There's an idea of 'being saved' that runs through all 3 of them. Geto doesn't want to be saved, Junpei wants to be but he doesn't manage to say it out loud, Megumi explicitly asks to be saved. I think they each give insight into the effects of loneliness and power, sort of like Junpei, Geto and Megumi are all a 'what if?' of each other and I think this exists outside of shipping with multiple characters [Maki and Toji, Jogo-Hanami-Dagon and the jujutsu high kids (wild comparison ik but I;'m thinking of it in like, the aspect of wanting to protect one another and be there for each other while being unable to in the face of an enemy that is much stronger than their desire and power to keep each other safe)].
Ah, and Gojo's first impression. I don't usually trust characters with immense power. On first watch I was empathizing with Yuuji the most since he's the MC, and this suspicious, extremely powerful man is playing nice with Yuuji, who he wanted dead at the start. I saw him making Yuuji grow stronger and eating Sukuna's finger as something he did to serve his own unspoken(probably evil) goals in the future. Like the way he acted kept making me think he had an ulterior motive. As the series went on a the exchange event came around, my suspicions went away but I still didn't enjoy his personality type- arrogant, childish, never takes anything seriously, high off his own power and unable to empathize with normal people.
But season 2 made me enjoy his silliness from s1 because it re-contextualized his attitude. He's not annoying and childish to people only to be an asshole, he genuinely likes these people and wants to have fun with them. He doesn't take anything seriously on the surface but deep down he's calculating everything so the kids around him don't need to worry. He's high off his power but why wouldn't he be? He wasn't exaggerating in the slightest when he said he was the strongest, that was objective fact. It's not that he doesn't want to understand the people around him, he just fundamentally CAN'T but despite that he really, really tries in the few ways that he can.
I'm used to characters like Gojo- those that are low on empathy and way too strong for their own good- Saiki from Saiki K, Saitama from One Punch Man. Those characters despite their strength, have this human struggle and relatable element to them which I found missing in S1. But S2 showed his weaknesses and suddenly everything about him made a lot of sense and he shot up from being a character I didn't give a crap about to one of my top faves. Gojo Satoru wasn't a god.
He would rig thing so his students can play baseball instead of shed more blood and build animosity through fighting. He'd bargain for the life of a child because he's a child and children deserve to be happy. He was a child once.
It's so funny and frankly amazing how I, the reader who has insights the characters will never have, still fell into the trap of thinking of Gojo as separate and unattached to regular humanity that most characters in-universe did. Having that subverted was such a fun experience.
Thanks for the ask anon! Have a nice day~~
