What MBTI personality do you think Garth has?

Uhhh oh gosh,, making me flashback to college psychology class here... Full disclaimer that I'm not a big fan of MBTI types and thus forgot almost everything I ever learned about it. I needed to go and look all of this up 😔

Garth also just so happens to be a character that lays in the middle of a lot of spectrums, so it's very difficult to reduce him down to a personality test type (as it is with every nuanced person-- which is everyone!)

But I'll do my best for you, anon!

Extroverted: Garth is definitely on the quieter/shyer side, but I don't think he's an introvert. He enjoys being around people and really only seems to self isolate when shit has REALLY hit the fan. As a matter of fact, he's dragged Arthur back into interacting with people plenty of times. I don't think he's a "big groups, big parties" kind of extrovert, but I do think he consistently wants to be around a few close people that he loves and trusts.

INtuition: Realistically, Garth does a little bit of both sensing/intuition, and it really depends on what the situation is for how he'll approach something. But I do feel like Garth is typically pretty good at approaching something with future consequences in mind and drawing conclusions from the information presented rather than rigidly sticking to facts only.

Feeling: Again, Garth is a little bit of both. We've seen him approach things very logically before. But at the same time, I do feel as though he operates more from his feelings than not. He's a great thinker, but his heart is always behind it.

Perceiving: Garth has rarely had much structure or stability in his life and has needed to be continually adaptive to get by. I think he'd love if he got to have more structure (and has sometimes been the one to put it into place where others wouldn't), but at a base-line I don't think Garth requires structure to be okay.

Bailey Briggs is a new addition to the Marvel Universe that is being given so much love that it’s infectious! Every book he’s made an appearance i has sold out of their first printing and he’s getting his very own solo this coming November! For me, I think the combination of Dan Slott’s reputation for always pushing the Spider-Man world in new directions and the opportunity to have a genuinely fresh entry point for new readers is what has catapulted Bailey into breakout character status. Currently, he’s only appeared in two books: the Spider-Man book by Dan Slott (not to get confused with The Amazing Spider-Man by Zeb Wells) and Edge of the Spider-Verse (an anthology series that takes a closer look at certain Spider-variants).

Personally, I’d recommend everyone just read Edge of Spider-Verse #3 since that’s the closest thing we have to a proper issue #0 before his own going starts. It’s only 10 pages and explains everything we know about the character so far. Plus, it gives us hints as to what direction his character is going to go in the future.

If you want more Spider-Boy content, you can check out the aforementioned Spider-Man book by Dan Slott, specifically issues #7-11. It focuses more on Peter than Bailey but some bits of his powers and personality are introduced here that aren’t in Edge of Spider-Verse #3.

Spider-Girl to be Introduced in Pages of "Spider-Boy"

The Spider-Family is getting bigger as Marvel Comics has announced that a Spider-Girl will be introduced in issue #12 of Dan Slott and Paco Medina's Spider-Boy series. The new hero is created by Slott and Michael Cho. Marvel reports that Spider-Girls backstory will supersede even Spider-Boy's and will make Spider-Man, Spider-Boy and everyone question everything.

Slott’s Spider-Boy series definitely seems like it’s meant to be for kids, but this mystical multiverse mumbo jumbo definitely seems like it might be a little too complicated for younger readers.

now let me tell you something. long story short, in 2015 i was active in the mbti forums and i got cyberbullied off of personality cafe when i said, with a lot of evidence, that dan howell was an infj. i literally sobbed and it was a whole thing. in retrospect it’s so absurd and trivial. i’m slightly more normal about mbti now but oh my fucking god did this feel good. here are some memes:
