You perused the aisles, tracing your fingers across a few of the display chairs that were set up. The two men followed close behind you, occasionally stopping to examine something or other. You had a vague idea of what you wanted for your clinic or at least the feel of it. The real trick was finding the furniture that matched.

As you continued examining the chairs, a set caught your eye. The wood was a dark oak and the cushions were (f/c). They were a good size and weren’t too expensive. You took a seat, smiling as you did so. They were incredibly comfortable. You looked it over one more time before smiling and turning toward Dan and Phil.

“What do you guys think?” You asked. Phil tilted his head and shrugged.

“I mean… Wouldn’t rolly chairs be better for the desks?” He asked. Dan laughed and shook his head.

“For the waiting chairs in the lobby, you idiot.” He said. You too couldn’t help but laugh, and soon enough Phil joined in as well. 

“Well, there’s no need to be mean.” He said. You took a quick photo of the product tag.

“I’ll probably get… 10 I think. That many will fit nicely against the wall. Which leaves end tables, desks, and desk chairs.”

“What about operation tables? That seems like something important.” Phil asked. You put your phone in your pocket and laughed.

“Yes, those are quite important but IKEA doesn't sell medical supplies like that.” You replied, starting to walk through another aisle. Dan snickered and you’re heart began to thump loudly in your ears. You were so easy, or was he just that charming?

“Is today a be mean to Phil day? Did I miss the memo?” He asked, fake pouting. You smiled and shook your head.

“Come on you oaf, we still have lots of things to buy.” You said. He sighed and trudged behind you, Dan following suit.

You let out a loud exhale as you managed to finish loading all the furniture pieces into your car. You leaned against the side, the line of sweat on your brow quick to trickle down the rest of your face. Both Dan and Phil looked as equally exhausted as you felt.

“God, please tell me there’s no more heavy lifting,” Dan said, his hands on his knees. You chucked and checked your watch. 

“Just moving them out of the car and into the clinic. First, though we’ve gotta stop by Home Depot to get some paint. Everything else I have to get from a specific shop that carries medical supplies. Thanks for your help so far but if you guys are done for the day then I won't mind.” You said, finally lowering your heart rate enough to deliver your sentence without any issues. 

“We can stay and help more, we don’t mind,” Phil replied. Dan was still too winded to object. You shrugged and grabbed your keys from your bag.

“Alrighty then. It’s paint time boys.”

You sighed as you lugged the last of the paint tins into the clinic, leaving them on the floor of the main room.

“Guys… I don’t even wanna paint anymore. I think I’m just gonna nap on the floor.” You said as you sank down the wall. Dan sighed and did the same.

“I think you overestimated my abilities.” He said, leaning his head back.

“All of us.” Phil chimed in as he sat on the floor as well. You gave a small laugh.

“Thanks for keeping me company, you guys. I appreciate it.” You said, glancing between Dan and Phil. 

“Oh stop it! Don’t get all mushy on us.” Phil replied jokingly.

“No, I’m serious! Today would’ve been such a drag without you two.” You said with a small smile.

“Well don’t count on the day not being a drag just yet. We’ve still gotta paint.” Dan chimed in. You sighed loudly.

“Yeah, I guess you’re right.” You groaned out as you stood up. You bent over the paint can and popped it open. You poured a decent amount into the paint tray before standing back up and stretching.

“I’ve got two rollers and a brush. Whoever takes the brush will have to tape and paint the edges and the rollers are pretty simple to use. Who wants what?”

“Well, you wasted no time,” Dan said with a laugh. You smiled and shrugged before offering your hand to Dan to help him up. He raised his eyebrows.

“I could still use the help.” You said in a sing-song voice. He rolled his eyes and grabbed your hand. You hoisted him up with surprising ease, which he was taken aback by as well. He stumbled on his feet slightly bumping into you before regaining his balance. You looked up at him and gave a sheepish smile. 

“Sorry…” You practically whispered. Dan’s heart thumped so loudly he could've sworn you’d be able to hear it. 

“No worries…” He replied, still staring down at you.

“So turns out I’m not so good at taping the edges of the walls,” You head Phil say. You backed away from Dan to see blue tape way too far from the wall to make a difference. You laughed and grabbed the tape from him.

“Grab a roller and I’ll work on the edges.” You said with a laugh. You slowly pulled the strip up and rolled up the used parts. You began to tape everything down properly before glancing over your shoulder. Dan had removed his jacket to prevent paint from getting on it and grabbed the roller. You turned back to the wall, and a funny feeling in your stomach started festering once again.

The painting was somewhat calming and you all worked together well. Dan and Phil painted separate walls while you painted the edges around the room. You whistled to yourself quietly as you did so. 

“I think I’m finished.” You said, standing up to check that there weren’t any spots that you’d forgotten. Dan sighed and went to lean on the wall to take a break but you quickly grabbed his arm before he could.

“Wet paint!” You exclaimed. He looked between you and the wall before laughing.

“God that would’ve been terrible.” He replied. You laughed and stepped away from him, turning to Phil to see how he was doing. He finished up the last paint stroke and turned around, holding a thumbs up.

“I think we did it.” You said with a smile.

“Finally. My back is killing me.” Phil said, stretching and attempting to pop it.

“Thanks for the help. It would’ve taken ages for me to do it myself. Now all that's left is letting it dry and putting the furniture together. I’ll do that another day though.” You said. Dan curtly nodded his head.

“Good. I don’t think I could handle any more physical activity.”

“Here here.”

Pride month 2024. Last day of June, new upload on DanAndPhilGAMES. Title: “We Got Married”. Hahaha, we say. Typical Dan and Phil clickbait. Video runtime is one hour. The first 59 minutes of the video is a dramatic reading of a 70k-word Nord VPN x Reader fanfiction, cowritten by Daniel Howell and Phil Lester, sponsored by Nord VPN. The fic is an incredibly detailed, erotic slowburn, written with an impressive amount of prowess, and accompanied by stock-image visuals, and it ends with NordVPN and Y/N getting married. Finally, sponsored segment ends, cut to end screen. Final 5 seconds of the video. “Oh yeah we got married by the way.” Wedding photo flashes onscreen for an 8th of a second. Cut to black.

- doing an irl stream but phoebe doesn’t know how to work the camera so you occasionally get those flipped camera angle and be met with phones up close to the camera jumpscaring herself

- perks if it lags and it’s frozen on her face all you hear is her “AH-“ and cuts back to you crying with laughter

- “my girlfriend is a streamer how fucking awesome is that?”

- like jb, music tier list streams but it’s like a game of monopoly and someone’s gonna end up fighting the other “WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU RANK [ song ] IN THE F?! THATS A SOLID S DUDE”

- lego building streams but it’s the botanical collection the bonsai you having the pink version phoebe having the green

- survival minecraft world with all of the boys but you log on one day to stream and the world is just gone/ someone blew it all up [looks at phoebe]

- roblox horror games with phoebe but you both end up getting scared shitless you end up doing a dan howell and just falling off the chair

- vr streams but phoebe scaring you by poking you or whispering in your ear when you have the headset on

YES when @toointojoelmiller said ao3 comments were better than drugs she was RIGHT! but fr they make me giddy every time, even if it's just a singular emoji or a bunch of exclamation points

maybe creature fear? just because it's so early days joel and ellie, so there's no warm and fuzzies to be had anywhere. wouldn't say it's angsty though

i'm kind of incapable of writing a sad ending, so it's a three way tie between my fluffiest children (1) buckets of rain / shelter from the storm, (2) mountain high, valley low, river wide, and (3) fisherman hats and carpet stains

i'm lame and most of my ships are just the ones that are already canon :/ but if i had to pick a wild card, i was oddly obsessed with peter parker/harley keener back in the marvel heyday

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

i really don't want to speak this into existence, but literally any of my ideas for longfics

fluff, dialogue, authentic characters

For the @phandomgiftexchange , my gift for @upintwenty ! I based this off of the prompt, slice of life and fluff, and the idea of the fic that I thought of (between ospbb and work it didn't happen lol) but I was glad to be able to practice my art skills 😁

I used magic poser and Sketchbook for this piece, then InCollage to add the watermark and edit slightly. Tumblr messed with the quality, but I hope y'all like it 😄

Announcing my fic for this year's @oldschoolpbb event, an Anastasia au combining the movie and musical, from the end of the Russian empire to the wonder of Paris. Featuring Phil as the missing Grand Duke Philip Lestov of Russia and Dan as Daniel Howlov, a conman working alongside Cornelia in a scheme to find an imposter and gain a reward while finding the real thing on the way. They must stay one step ahead of Deputy Commissioner Kolya Petrov, set on finishing his father's mission, and Rasputin, determined to end the Lestov line for good.

In the twilight of the Russian Empire, the younger son of Czar Nigel Lestov finds an unlikely friend in a kitchen boy with a very different past. Philip Lestov has no idea what is to come, this future with his new friend stretching out as far as he can see, and Daniel Howlov gets a glimpse at a world so far from his own. Ten years later, the czar and his wife are dead and their older son is left to live with his grandmother in Paris; far from the new regime that wants the Lestovs dead. The young tsarevich Philip has gone missing while rumors fly of his survival. danandphilcrafts and the tarot's devil

a queer perspective

dan and phil crafts is a short horror film quartet created by famous queer youtubers dan howell and phil lester. there is intentional use of imagery from the devil tarot card in the climactic shot of this installment, as you can observe below:

phil has a long history of including tarot on his channel in videos such as robot death machine (2009), PREDICTING MY FUTURE! (2017), PREDICTING DAN"S FUTURE! (2017), trying to predict 2021 (2020) shorts doing readings for astrological signs on lessamazingphil (2022), and in viewers pick my birthday gifts 2024 (2024).

as someone who's been both a fan and a tarot reader for over a decade, i find this nod to the devil card one of the most essential shots in communicating the complex themes addressed in this video and the craft series as a whole.

how so? i'll start with discussion of the devil tarot card and how it relates to the lovers.

in tarot, the lovers and the devil are both a part of the major arcana, the 22 cards representing more significant, intense & impactful life moments than the cards found in the minor arcana. they are two of very few major arcana cards that mirror each other visually: the other duos in the major arcana are the high priestess + hierophant and empress + emperor. 

in both other cases, the cards hold connected meanings as applied to different areas of life, but reflect a gendered difference - the high priestess and empress are women, and the emperor and hierophant are men. from this we can conclude two things. 

first is that the connected imagery between two cards connotates connected meaning. even without the connected imagery, these cards would be an inverse of one another; they're sibling cards, sharing the same numerology (6).

so what do the lovers symbolize? the lovers symbolize healthy, balanced relational connection, collaborative communication, choice, etc. their relationship is blessed/holy/watched over by an angel. 

the devil, on the other hand, symbolizes unhealthy relational connection, exploitation, addiction, hedonism, etc. the figure in this card is the demon baphomet, and the relationship is taboo.

the other conclusion we can take from the pattern of meaning found in visually similar cards is that the variation between these cards is related to gender/sex/sexuality. 

it is extremely straightforward to conclude that the couple in the devil card differs with the couple in the lovers card by being sexually deviant in some manner, and all forms of queerness fall under the umbrella of sexual deviance. 

baphomet as the specific demon in this card ads to the overall queerness associated with the devil. i am not able to speak about it at length as i am not an occultist, but you can read at length on wikipedia. i know i’ve read good posts about baphomet from occultists on tumblr, but am struggling to find those that go into detail. what i’m able to remember is this: depictions of baphomet always show her with a mix of sex characteristics, typically both breasts and a penis, making her either transgender or intersex.

my goal with this essay is a queer reading of the devil, though, not a reification of the societal norms regarding gender and sexuality as held when the rider waite smith deck was created in 1909. we can queer the devil by being critical of the institutions and social norms that name the deviance depicted in the devil as bad.

when doing this, the devil can become an empowering figure signifying acceptance of and actualization of queer sexuality, rejection of internalized homophobia and transphobia, freedom from normative expectations, solidarity taking action, and connection with/creation of community. 

you can see similar subversions of christian ideas of the devil in the work of lil nas x, particularly in the music video for MONTERO (call me by your name) - it’s a common queer theme. the rates at which satanic imagery and touch between two men appear increase both rapidly and in tandem with each successive video in the DanAndPhilCRAFTS back catalogue.

i'm not going to delve too deep into past videos, but i will mention that the horror in the first three exists largely in implication: the pentagram in glitter faces is has happened before and happens whether they're trying to make it or not; the "he" they are "friends" with in potato prints never appears onscreen.

tying this back to the devil as a card that stands in opposition to societal homophobia and gender roles, the first indications of this theme appear in DanAndPhilCRAFTS-Slime's opening still:

and the dialogue taking place from 0:17 to 0:24 of the video, which i've transcribed below.

DAN: We've had important events to prepare for. PHIL: I've been in a box. [footage of a presumably deceased PHIL from DanAndPhilCRAFTS - Potato Prints] DAN: They tried to stop us. PHIL: But they didn't.

from these two moments in the film, we can infer that the "they" who tried to stop dan and phil includes the church of england, and that phil's death at the end of the previous video was not permanent.

how does the story change if our baseline assumption is to trust its protagonists rather than the vague "they" trying to stop them, the "they" who recovered the footage?

on that note: how does the fact that dan and phil came out between potato prints and slime impact the way that the story is consumed, and the way that the story is depicted?

i am not well versed in horror. i cannot meaningfully speak to the tradition of horror and its elements and how they manifest in this film particularly.

i can point out what i can identify as worth talking about: the things that are portrayed as horrific. the presence of blood; to lose one's life - specifically to kill or be killed by a penetrating weapon; allying oneself with demonic forces. to my knowledge there's a lot to dig into with that, both regarding horror in general and horror through the lens of queer analysis.

what i'm able to come up with is this: blood is a bodily fluid disease can pass through, and there's a lot of history there with both AIDS and more recently monkeypox; many people lose the life they had before when they come out; i don't think i even need to elaborate about penetration; religious homophobia's insistence that queerness is of the devil is extremely old news.

i would love for someone more versed in horror and queerness than I am to elaborate where i can't.

something i can elaborate on is this: how the video was received.

this video wasn't posted to the gaming channel or either main channel; the only people who will have seen it are people who never unsubscribed to the crafts channel or people who are connected to phannie spaces. this core swath of dan and phil's audience primarily consists of queer people: those of us who are aware of their relationship. those of us who are in on the joke.

to a cisheteroallo audience, especially one completely unfamiliar with dan and phil, this video would likely be experienced as straightforwardly scary. this hypothetical audience doesn't know, as we do, that it's deeply unrealistic that dan or phil would ever harm one another as depicted in the film.

the reactions i have seen in phannie spaces have all found and delighted in the humor in it, and many have enjoyed the well executed horror. but beyond that, this queer audience widely perceives and enjoys the eroticism of the film.

there is intimacy in the violence, and a thrill in the transgressions required for two people to align themselves with the figure of the devil.

something i particularly enjoy: despite the sources of horror i listed earlier, none of them result in consequences for the characters dan and phil play. they end this film in a place of power beside the devil figure. what is frightening is the threat they pose to the "they" who tried to stop them, the threat they pose to institutional cisheteroallo normativity.

the way that DanAndPhilCRAFTS - Slime presents imagery from the tarot's devil card is unequivocally, undeniably queer and in opposition to oppressive structures. the way this film expresses ideas is incredibly coherent, and the nod to tarot serves it so well to that end!

It felt as if no time had passed, yet here you were, standing behind Phil as he unlocked his front door. You were trying to keep your composure but found it increasingly difficult. You had dreamed of this moment but never thought it would happen. Just a lovesick fool’s deepest desires. But still, the fact that you were truly standing behind Phil Lester, seconds from walking into his house was undeniable.

And then your world came cascading down before you. The door was open and he and (D/n) were already inside. All that was left was for you to follow. Your sneakers hit the wooden floor and you felt surreal. You would never tell Phil but this moment was one of the biggest in your life. You just walked into Dan and Phil’s apartment, something you never thought you’d get to do. But now, you were walking in as more than a fan. Even more than a friend. You were walking in as literal family.

It only took three more steps for you to be completely inside. Submerged in what you always thought was simply a fantasy. You turned breathlessly and closed the door, exhaling as you turned back. Phil gave you a small smile.

“Well… The kitchen’s right over there. If you need help finding anything just ask.” He said. You returned the smile and nodded, walking to the place he had ushered.

Dan laid on his bed, no particularly vexing thoughts crossing his mind. Just simple, unprovoked nothings as he scrolled through Instagram. He felt slightly abashed, the date he had gone on putting him in a poor mood. She didn’t seem like a bad person, she just… wasn’t his type. He couldn’t exactly put his finger on why, she just wasn’t.

He heard the front door open, then the muffled voice of his best friend and flatmate. He must’ve been home with his sibling. Dan was still slightly ticked off that Phil made them come over and cook them dinner. Although he was silently thankful, he would never tell him that. He stood from his bed, setting his phone down and walking out of his room. His feet were slow down the hall, but he reached Phil soon enough.

“Hey, Dan. You sure look peachy.” Phil said with a laugh. Dan rolled his eyes but smiled all the same.

“Oh shut up. Is that your sibling in there?” He asked. Phil nodded.

“Why don’t you come introduce yourself, sib?” Phil called. Dan raised his eyebrows. He heard what sounded like a pan being set down in the kitchen. He watched as you emerged from the doorway, a shy smile on your face. His eyes widened and his breath seemed to leave his chest.

“Hello.” You said, your voice even more beautiful in person than through the screen. He opened his mouth to say something but found that his words would not come out.

“I… Hi…” He responded simply. You put your hands in your pockets, staring at your feet awkwardly and trying to hide the red hue of your cheeks.

“Phil… Can I… speak to you for a minute… In private?” Dan whispered through teeth grit. Phil pursed his lips, trying to hold back his laughter.

“Be right back (Y/n),” Phil said before walking with Dan to his bedroom. Dan shut the door before turning to Phil.

“What the fuck are they doing here?” Dan asked. Phil laughed.

“They’re my sibling.” He replied.

“What do you mean they’re your sibling? They can’t be!” Dan yelled. Phil shrugged.

“They can and they are. Remember how I told you about my father cheating on my mom all those years back?” Phil asked. Dan nodded.

“Well, the woman was (Y/n)’s mom,” Phil said. Dan sat on his bed, dropping his head in his hands.

“So… (Y/n)’s dad is… your dad?” Dan asked. Phil nodded. Dan fell back onto his bed.

“Oh my God… Oh my God.” He whispered.

You squeezed your knuckles on the counter until they turned white. Your breathing was heavy and your face was hot. Holy shit, you thought. Holy fucking shit. You just met Daniel Howell. Daniel James Howell. The man you had been in love with for as long as you could remember. And now that he was live and in person, standing in front of you, you could no longer brush away the feelings as just an internet crush.

You heard the door open and fixed your posture, trying to get your breathing back to normal. You could hear Dan and Phil whispering to each other before seeing them emerge from the hallway. You gave an awkward smile before folding your arms over your chest.

“Hi… Sorry about that I just… wasn’t expecting to see you.” Dan said. You laughed.

“You think you’re surprised? I just found out I had a brother and that that brother is Phil Lester in less than a week.” You replied. Dan laughed with you.

“Yeah, can’t even imagine what this has been like for you.” He said. You shrugged.

“Been managing. I should get back to the food before it burns.” You said. Dan nodded before you walked back into the kitchen, a small smile on your face.

Phil wiped his mouth on a napkin before leaning back in his chair.

“Jesus (Y/n), that was delicious,” Phil said. You smiled.

“Thanks. What did you think Dan?” You asked. Dan sighed.

“I couldn’t agree more. Where did you learn to cook like this?” He asked. Your cheeks turned red as you placed a strand of hair behind your ear.

“Oh, I just… Picked up a few things from my mom.” You replied with a shrug. You stood and began to gather all the dishes.

“I should head home now though. I’ve still got loads of unpacking to do.” You said while placing the dirty plates in the sink.

“Oh right. I was going to ask, how do you plan on getting home if you haven’t gone to the bank?” Phil asked. You groaned.

“Oh shit. I didn’t even think of that.” You replied. Phil laughed.

“Here, I can lend you some money to get back home.” He replied, standing up and pulling out his wallet. You held up your hands.

“Phil no, I’ve already asked you for so much. I can’t possibly-”

“Oh come on (Y/n). You’ve just made us a delicious dinner. It’s the least I can do. Plus, you don’t exactly have any other choice.” He interrupted. You sighed, knowing very well that he was right.

“Alright fine, but this is the last time.” You replied. Phil smiled before handing you a few bills that you didn’t completely recognize.

It took you a few minutes to gather your things and (D/n) but once you did, you stood at the door with Dan and Phil behind you, waiting to say goodbye. You gave Phil a hug which he graciously returned, telling you he’d see you soon. And then it came to Dan. You were unsure of how to say bye to him, so you simply ended up nodding your head at him with an awkward smile and a simple “See ya”. Maybe this wasn’t the ideal way for you to have met him, but at least you got to say that you did.

A/N: i wanted to post something and this was in my drafts so enjoy this while i work on the requests.

you couldn't take any more of this. walking down the hall, you faced his door. your best friend. he wouldn't come out for a week. he didn't talk to you nor phil. something was wrong and he wouldn't tell anyone what.

you softly knocked on the door and waited before you heard him quietly shuffle over. once it opened, you found he was a mess. bloodshot eyes, the same clothes on as the last time you saw him, and messy hair.

you walked in and closed the door only to turn around and find he was already back to laying on his bed face down. you came over and sat down, scared he would snap if you got too close.

you didn't say anything. your prescence was enough for dan to be calmer. he just wished you would stay with him. he needed someone this week, but pushed everyone away. he didn't realize he was crying until you wiped away one of his tears with your thumb.

he sat up and kept his eyes down.

"sorry," he mumbled. you leaned against the headboard and shifted so dan could sit next to you.

"there's nothing to apologize for dan."

"i shouldn't be alive."

you looked over at him and winced. you hated when he said things like that. sure, you say that all the time, but dan had so much to live for.

"don't say that."

"why? why's that y/n?"

"because-"

"because why y/n? because people love me? because i'm famous? i'm not funny, i'm a horrible person, i'm dragging people down," he lifted up his sleeves to reveal scars up and down, "i'm a freak y/n."

you were both standing up now, facing each other.

"there's nothing wrong with you dan. that doesn't make you a freak-"

"yes it does!" at this point he was screaming. "i am a freak! i don't belong here, why can't you just see that? why can't you just leave? your life would be better without me here!"

"because you're my best friend."

"just get out. i don't need you. i never did, can't you just leave?!"

you looked down at your feet, tears filling your eyes.

"do, do you really mean that?"

dan sighed and ran a hand through his greasy hair. he didn't mean any of that, but then again, he could just end it all once you leave him. he stood there waiting for you to leave but you didn't.

"please leave y/n," he said, barely audible. you nodded the tears finally leaving your eyes, just as dan's had. you left the room and immediately walked to the living room to find phil wrapped in a blanket covering his ears.

"i hate when you two fight, y'know."

he looked up seeing you crying and stood up, embracing you. yes, this wasn't the first time you and dan had a screaming match when one of you were having an episode. it happened probably once every two months. but never had you cried. phil nor dan had ever seen you cry. (A/N: phil let out a single tear, not afraid to show emotion in front of his true best friend.)

"he hates me."

"no he doesn't. you need to go back and talk with him."

"he hates me. he always has. i'll just move out. you'll both be better off without me around."

"no. we need you here. now go talk to him. i am going to sleep now," phil was determined. his two best friends would not stay fighting.

you sighed, walking to your room to put lounge pants and one of dan's old sweatshirts on. he had one of yours too. your friendship was one that you cherished so much. walking back to his room, you saw him crying into a pillow.

he felt the bed dip and he didn't look up. he thought whoever it was would give up on him and go away. ten minutes later, you hadn't left, but dan had started to cry harder.

you hesitantly reached over and rubbed his back a little. he finally turned to look at you.

"why are you here?"

"you should never go to sleep on an argument."

he wrapped his arms around your shoulders and leaned into your touch.

"i'm sorry for what i said. i didn't mean it, i was just upset."

"i know you didn't mean it. it's okay."

you returned his hug, playing with his curls. you knew this relaxes him.

"i just, i don't know. i feel awful right now."

"probably cause you haven't slept, showered, or eaten in a week." he let out a small laugh.

"i guess that's something."

you smiled, and released your hug.

"you get in the shower, i'm gonna bring you toast when you're done."

you walked back to his room once dan told you he was done. his curls were still wet and he had pajamas on now. you pushed the plate of toast you had toward him as you laid down on his bed.

"you need to eat."

"all of it?"

"not all, just half."

he sighed and did what you told him to do. he was happy he didn't puke it up this time. he started to doze off once he picked up his computer. you noticed this, but he told you he was fine.

after a half hour, you were getting tired yourself. phil came into the room and smiled.

"all made up?"

you nodded while dan was still dozing off atop his computer.

"that's good. i'm going to head to sleep now. you lovebirds should too," phil wiggled his eyebrows.

you laughed and said goodnight to him. gently waking up dan, you told him to get ready to sleep. he rolled under the covers after putting his laptop away.

you started to walk out until dan called your name. he scooted over and patted the spot next to him, nervously looking down, expecting you to just leave. you smiled and came over.

you pulled him close, feeling his legs entangled with yours, while you gently traced "i love you" over and over again on his bare back with your finger.

you took a quick glance down at dan, who was laying his head on your chest, to check if he was still comfortable as he looked up sleepily. you began to think how much you never want the moment to end. then you also begin to think about how would you two be after a moment that close.

"i love you too," his gentle voice rang through your ears, as a soft smile returning to his face once again, and the warmth of his body soaking with yours.

dan began to think about what you felt because he began to feel something once again. he leaned up and sloppily kissed your lips. he laid back down placing his head on your shoulder, being comforted by you.

"goodnight dan."

"goodnight n/n."
