Rodan for @dappercritter’s Godzilla Chaos Theory fic.

The design process for Rodan took less time than Godzilla did, although it took a few tries to settle on a design for the central crest males have. Dapper wanted a design that vaguely called to mind the tengu of Japanese myth. Females are also referred to as Radons of course.

You can really see the monster hunter influence.

Some neat facts are that the leading edge of the wings have tubercles, which increases lift and decreases drag. Rodans also have an internal combustion system that combusts alcohol produced by symbiotic microbes, and the resulting hot air is vented out of chest and wing vents, giving extra speed and lift. They essentially hunt like rocket propelled peregrine falcons, and even have malar stripes.

Rodans also frequently clash with Gojiras and Gigamoths, which has resulted in the two species frequently nesting together to better protect young and resources.

The Godzilla individual the story revolves around is called the Hunter King, while the main Rodan of the story and his rival is a male called Sundowner.

I'm sorry to bother you but do you have any sources on specific antisemitic incidents or speech spread by Khalil or anything going on in NYC?

I don't want to sound contrarian, I just noticed that there's a lack of links related to evidence on the matter in your latest post compared to the details of Khalil's arrest.

Asking as someone who's pro-Israel/Anti-Zionist but equally concerned about antisemitism going unnoticed amid the crackdown on the Free Palestine movement.

@dappercritter I am really quite frustrated by this. The sources I linked talk about how he has held the position of negotiator in the CUAD organization for over a year at least. CUAD is an explicitly pro Hamas organization that organizes a day of mourning for Sinwar and regularly organizes pro Hamas protests. I don't know how to explain to you or anyone else that holding a formal position in the administration of an organization that supports Hamas. Is proof that one supports Hamas. You are not the first person to say this and I am extremely frustrated. This man doesn't have a social media presence. What possible other evidence could you ask for other than multiple videos of him negotiating on behalf of CUAD literally less than a week ago during their building take over? What else can I do here but beg you guys to understand that holding a position with a pro Hamas organization counts as supporting Hamas??

Quick lil' note to bring up before Pride Month

Just because Trump has been finally found guilty due to his hush-money felon, that doesn't mean he's fully out of the game entirely. While he himself can't vote, he's still gonna run for the elections this fall.

As brought up by @headspace-hotel, along with a post made by @dappercritter, Trump plans to do alot of awful things with his Project 2025 thing should he somehow win. That includes things like taking away the rights of the LGBQ+ community, women, blacks, etc, revert alot of environmental treaties and the like, get rid of abortion and have force women who are r@ped to have their r@pists' babies, resume the use of nuclear weapons, and other horrible things. This'll affect other countries on a negative scale too.

Now, regarding the people who are mad at Biden for siding with literal terrorists on a genocide, I know you are all upset by this, but keep this in mind.

Trump not only wants to endorse Israel, but also wants them to "finish the job". And that goes for any and all Republicans that side with him.

I know it all sucks with Biden, but given that we all have a few months left before the elections. let me make a few things clear.

I do not support Biden in any way. He, however, is our only opition that doesn't result in fascism taking over our country. As unfortunate as it sounds, this is the reality of it all

Again, Trump and the far right wants to support Israel with their ongoing genocide with twice the spite

A third party isn't really gonna help much for those who don't wanna vote for both Trump or Biden

Calling Biden out on his actions and not voting for Trump are two things that can and should coexist.

I have plenty of friends in the LGBQ+ community that I don't wanna see harmed by Project 2025

Does it suck that we're in a lesser of two evils situation? Yes, it most certainly does. But I'm begging you all

Saw some of your artworks for Godzilla; Chaos Theory and if I may ask, what’s the main premise behind it? Plus why some of the tetrapod Kaijus have these mandibles on the sides of their main jaw

That might be something you ask @dappercritter! It’s his fic, I’m just a writing consultant in charge of kaiju design and biology.

As for why the “tetrapod” kaiju have weird skulls and too many digits, well that depends on if dapper wants to spoil the twist!

Merry Christmas everybody!

i normally dont celebrate holidays but i wanted to do this for the sake of making something for my good friends @iamthekaijuking and @dappercritter they are amazing pals and i hope they get a nice christmas and a happy new year!

I hope 2025 will be a better year for me and nothing shitty will happen, i really want to be successful and i hope to get better therapy as my mental health isnt in a good state...and i also hope i can spend more time with my good friends i've meet online as i normally dont get the chance to due to being very busy and exausted from my shitty family!

but i hope everyone whos been following me including my best friends will have a fun christmas and a happy new year!

I keep forgetting to ask you this but

What do you think about MinusGoji's dorsal plates and how the atomic breath works?

(i.e. the plates protruding then retracting to fire an atom bomb style blast like a nuclear reactor crossed with a gun)

At first I thought that because of how stiff his plates were compared to his unmutated form they might have fused to his vertebrae, but that means his backbone basically pops out whenever he uses his atomic breath. That’s probably not what’s happening since that would seriously compromise his ability to support his own weight if his back can’t act as a pillar.

Rather, minusgoji probably has a canal running atop his spine that fills with radiation and plasma when charging his atomic breath, and the pressure forces his dorsal scutes to pop out. When he unleashes it he might have retractor muscles attached to his scutes that force them back in and contracts this canal, forcibly ejecting the contents of this sack out his mouth with explosive force. The whole thing is kinda the opposite of nuclear reactor control rods, where instead of trying to contain excess radiation he’s violently ejecting it.

I don’t know if he can use electromagnetism to direct the beam, since he’s pretty small for a Godzilla and so his body probably doesn’t have enough battery capacity to do this. But the novelization of the movie implies that minusgoji is a Shinto god of death so some divine magic is probably present.
