my teacher went on a tangent (as always) about a different story that we aren’t even reading. he talked about how odysseus opened a bag of winds he needed to get back home. my friend shouted “wait like spongebob” and i put the pieces together with my two braincells and then i was like “wait yeah that is spongebob” (referring to the first movie when they do this exact same thing so then david hasslehoff has to come and save them).

my teacher is a big ol nerd with us and as a 90s kid i’m pretty sure he grew up with spongebob too so he said: “this is why you take latin. one of you in here could go on to create spongebob 2”. and lowkey why is that so inspirational

i have seen probably like every spongebob episode multiple times up to like the 10th season (don’t ask i had issues growing up) and i like to watch a shit ton of review videos on it nowadays. but i still never knew the fact that that scene was probably inspired by greek mythological and i find that so interesting.

kinda unrelated but my teacher also referenced at one point that secret level tv show episode with the pac man that fucking eats everyone and just wanted to say i’m the goat becus i was the only one in that class who knew what they hell he was talkin about. we like this bruh 🤞🤞

so I'm playing as Michael Knight (of 1980's TV series Knight Rider) in BG3 and this man is having the worst time ever. KITT's nowhere to be found (how do you tadpole a car? even a talking one?), there's a slug in his head, and his new allies are terrifyingly eager to fight people to the death over things he's sure he's sure he'd be able to talk his way out of.

I'm pretty sure he takes the whole magic-being-real/mythological-creatures-are-just-people thing in stride. He's an accepting guy, and he has so many bigger problems right now. Occasionally sticks his foot in his mouth, but really - who doesn't?

I decided to start him as a ranger since that's basically what he does for FLAG, and I'm thinking of multiclassing him into rogue later on.

I think I did a decent job of coercing the character customization menu into producing David Hasslehoff, though the nose/browline is just far enough off to bug me.

Anyway I made the dream visitor as a male drow with red/black eyes and glossy black hair. Michael is going to react... mm, strongly, when it speaks with KITT's voice.

things i will never confess:

i hate princeton and kate (esp when theyre together)

lucy x kate is the enemies to lovers ever

i think nicky being straight actually makes sense (but i hate it and refuse to believe) and i think i would be a bit predictable and pandering if they made rod and nicky date in canon

the concept of ricky is so fucking hilarious. his entry is one of the most hilarious moments of the musicals (esp john tartaglia's reaction in the obc)

the bad idea bears are secretly my favourite characters

i spent 5 hours learning the rod harmony in fantasies come true

why does noone appreciate jennifer barnhart in the obc??? she literaly had to puppeteer EVERY PUPPET during that show. she was a bear and ms T, puppeted lucy, rod, princeton and kate at different points and right handed nicky and trekkie. she played EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER. she had to lipsync tartaglia and d'abruzzo at MULTIPLE PLACES and did it flawlessly!!!

on that topic what the fuck type of magic did d'abruzzo hsrness when she did any of the kate and lucy scenes??? like WHAT??

the dialouge in fantaises come true is gen so ass. its a crime they didnt keep "no more cruising by for chicks. we can suck eat others dicks" the exception is "you look like david hasslehoff" that shit is actually so fire and johntartag rod's reaction is my Roman empire
