I haven’t participated in Linktober since 2021, but I knew this year I wanted to redraw my first ever entry from three years ago. I’m happy with the improvement! …And the nightmare fuel. Geez.

I dedicate this day to Ocarina of Time, particularly to one of the most disturbing monsters!

If I have to be honest I think there is no worse monster than this, it was a trauma as a child 😅

Linktober Shadow 2023 Day 11 - Dead Hand

All three are from Ocarina of Time, I'll explain them briefly under the cut for those who haven't played but enjoy voting.

The redead is a zombie like creature who moves incredibly slowly but has an ear piercing shriek, which completely paralyzes the player character for a few seconds, usually giving them enough time to reach you, when they jump on your back and depleat your health.

The Wall Master is a large severed hand that crawls over the ceiling of some ancient areas. It uses a stealthy attack in that it will be indetectable until directly over the player's character, and the only way I know to anticipate them is by watching your shadow, and if it becomes larger, that means the wall master is actively dropping down on top of you.

The Dead Hand is a pale creature sticking out of the ground. It has a gaping maw, evoking the visuals of a broken jaw, and its arms end in bloody tapers, making it seem like it lost its hands and the majority of its forearm violently. All around it in a circle are large arms that grab the player and hold them in place until the Dead Hand's main body can shuffle over and bite you.

Playing tears of the kingdom is just remembering how good you were at botw and assuming you’ll be able to do this game easily enough.

And then getting one-shot by literally everything, they took guardians away but added something(s) much worse, the trees are out to get you, safe places in botw are no longer safe places, ur expected to jump into wells like oot never happened, and the depths.

But hey! Thanks for letting me keep my horses, Nintendo, that might’ve been my breaking point.

I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time whit my sister, and we reached the Bottom of the Well for the first time ever. We enter the room whit the long hands and that thing emerges from the ground.

Me: "That's way too creepy..."

My sister: "He looks like Adriano Celentano!"

Me: "Wai- WHAT?!".

Anyway Adriano Celentano is an old Italian singer, and somehow he resembles Dead Hand.
